Crazy trouble with love part 10

Momo and Bakugo

Series: Boku no Hero Academia

xxxxxxxxxxxx

'I can't believe I let that pink weirdo talk me into this.' Bakugo fumed, sitting at a table for two, his arms crossed in annoyance. He had shown up here five minutes earlier than the mentioned time set up thanks to Mina.

It was all due to some simple teasing that lead to something Bakugo wished he could have said hell no to.

(Flashback)

"Say Bakugo, I've got a question for you." Mina asked, leaning on his desk with a big grin. "Are you busy tonight?"

"Who wants to know?" he answered back gruffly while leaning back in his chair with his foot on the edge.

"I do, though, if you're too scared to tell me…" Mina teased, trailing off as Bakugo scowled at her.

"Oi! I ain't scared." he sat up with a huff. "I'm not doing anything besides shitty homework, why?"

"Well, you are now! I got a reservation at a nice restaurant, I was hoping you'd go." She grinned as Bakugo scoffed.

"You asking me on a date, pinkie?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, which sounds better to you~?" she teased with a grin.

Bakugo narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. He wouldn't mind dinner, but Mina….well, she was just too loud, too happy, too energetic for his taste. "Pass." he turned away.

"Ooh! That hurts." she let out dramatically with a hand to her chest and pout. "Why not?"

"You aren't my type, Pinkie." He replied back bluntly, making her roll her eyes.

"Well you won't know unless you try." she smirked with her finger raised. "Think of it like this, if you go tonight, you get a chance to enjoy some pretty good food. This isn't your average restaurant, it's one of the most popular in the city."

Bakugo paused as he considered that. He wouldn't mind some good food instead of the hag's gruel, but… well, if the food was good, usually that also meant it was expensive too.

"And the bill is taken care of." she pointed out, almost like she could read his thoughts.

"...Fuck it, why not." He sighed, shaking his head as Mina let out a cheer.

"Great! Meet me there at 7 tonight at this address." she handed him a card for the restaurant before walking away. "Make sure you brush your teeth, you might get lucky~"

Bakugo rolled his eyes and just nodded along as Mina practically skipped away. 'Fine, hopefully this won't be a waste of time.'

(End flashback)

Thus, here he was, dressed up, clean, waiting at a table alone, with his frustrating growing as the minutes ticked on.

'Didn't know she was into me. Heh, this might be funny later. That midget would blow his top if he found out I scored a date before he did.' He thought, trying to distract himself as he waited for his date. 'I bet he'll throw a bitch fit when he finds out. Not my fault the idiot thinks being a pervert will make the ladies like him.'

As he was deep in thought, at the entrance the door opened up to show Momo walking in, wearing a form fitting black dress with straps and a purse in hand and her hair done up. SHe looked around nervously as she entered the restaurant. This was the first time she'd ever been on a blind date, and Mina did promise she found a nice guy, and she had no reason to distrust her so she decided to give it a shot.

'Is my hair ok? I hope I don't stink. I wonder if I should have gone with a red dress instead of black?' She thought nervously. She tried to banish the negative thoughts from her mind as she looked for her date. Mina did say he would be a blonde sitting alone. She mostly saw either couples together or just random groups of people having fun on their own. As she panned the room, she finally saw a head of blonde hair belonging to a man sitting alone, facing away from her. 'Oh! That must be him!' she made sure her dress was on right before making her way over. As she got closer to him, she began to get a better look at him, until she froze, recognizing the man.

"Bakugo?!"

He whirled around, eyes widening when he caught sight of her. "Momo?"

"Bakugo? What are you doing here?" She repeated, moving to sit down in confusion.

"I was called out here, what are you doing here?" he threw back, caught off guard seeing her in a fancy dress.

"Mina told me to come here…" she said when suddenly the pieces clicked into place.

"Same...oh that mother fucker!" He swore as Momo groaned. "I'm your blind date?!"

"It looks like it." She sighed as she put a hand to her head before looking at him. "So… what now?"

"What the hell do you mean 'what now'? I'm gonna find her and give her hell." he growled to himself.

"So you're giving up on the date before it starts?" She asked, making him freeze.

"I don't give up on anything!" he spat. "I can get by this date without breaking a sweat!"

"Alright." Momo said with a nod. 'I might as well give him a shot, it's not like I have anything else to do tonight if I leave.'

That's when a waiter walked over with some menus. "Here are your menus, what would you two like to drink?"

"Water please." Momo said with a small smile.

"Same." remarked Bakugo with a scoff.

"Very good, I'll be back with them momentarily." The waiter bowed and walked away, leaving the teens in an awkward silence with Bakugo staring at the menu, with Momo herself looking off to the side to try and think of something to say.

'Come on, there has to be something you two have in common you can talk about!' she thought. 'Maybe we could talk about the recent tests, give each other some tips.'

"So… you make stuff with your quirk?" Bakugo asked, surprising her. "How does that work with liquids?"

"Oh! Well since most liquids are inorganic, I can create them, but it would be like releasing water from a container, and would be more dangerous than if I made tools or weapons since I'd be drawing on my own body's water reserves. It's not impossible, but it would require more resources my body could provide if I released too much without making sure to refill myself." She replied in one breath as Bakugo nodded.

"Gotcha, and what about poison? Does it hurt you when you make it? I know my nitroglyceryn doesn't hurt me, and luckily it doesn't have any of it's fucking poisonos effects or I and everyone I've touched since I was a kid would be dead."

"I...I've never tested that out." she admitted looking down. "It's usually easier to make tools or weapons since I can understand their composition easier. If I mess up when trying for poison, I could...well you know."

"Makes sense, better not risk it and end up killing yourself when you try to make cyanide." He nodded, Momo nodding along with a sigh.

"I also can't think of a situation that would call for it without coming across as villainous." she sweatdropped.

"It's just an example." He muttered. "Point is, it's interesting, your quirk is kinda like mine in how it produces something the body normally doesn't, and I didn't know if it automatically made the item safe so it could make it or not." He remarked with a shrug.

"That's some...surprising insight coming from you." she admitted, looking at the crash boy in slight awe.

"Hey, I'm not a fucking idiot!" He snapped in annoyance. "My grades are almost as good as yours!"

"Ah! Sorry sorry! I didn't mean it like that!" She said quickly as he sighed.

"It's fine, it's fine, it happens I guess." He muttered, it getting awkward again.

'Come on, salvage this date!' Momo thought, trying to find something else the two of them could possibly talk about. She tapped her foot slightly and looked at him before looking away. "So…I…heard your dream is to be the number 1 hero, is that right? Or has things changed?"

"Hell no, I'm still going to be the number one hero!" He said quickly, scowling a bit at the very idea he could have given up his dream. "I can't afford to be anything less."

"Well I wouldn't say that, I mean, all of us are striving to be heroes in our own ways. Even if some of us might think otherwise." she muttered the last part to herself.

"Hey, it's not like I got a choice." He muttered, narrowing his eyes. "Everyone has been telling me that I got to be the best, so I have to be."

"Wait, they have?" she looked surprised.

"'Course, ever since I was a toddler." He remarked, crossing his arms while leaning back in his seat. "When I got my quirk, everyone would praise me over it. On how cool it was, on how great I was, and they were right. I'm pretty damn awesome, so it only makes sense I go for number 1 and don't settle for anything less."

Momo blinked as she heard that, the words ringing in her mind, and how could they not? She'd been hearing those same words on repeat ever since she was a child as well. "So you came to UA because of other people's expectations?"

"Yeah, and it's where the best of the best go, so I had to go as well, isn't that why you went too?"

"Well…not exactly." she looked away while scratching her cheek with her finger. "The truth is, I do find being a hero a great opportunity, but it was actually my parents who thought it'd be a good idea to go for it. I honestly grew up with an easy life thanks to their jobs, so I never really felt the stress that came from everyday life. When my quirk was discovered, they brought up how being a hero could be even more beneficial for my life."

"Really?" Bakugo asked, looking at her in surprise. "So… they told you that you had to be a hero too?"

"Well, technically they laid out all the positives about it and I…kinda decided to go for it." She said as Bakugo sighed.

"So they did. What were they gonna do, not tell their kid with a powerful quirk to be a hero?"

"To be fair, they didn't really force it, I still made the final decision." She shrugged, but his words resonated with her. "Though… looking back, it's not like they gave me any other options…."

"Welcome to the club." he remarked as the waiter came back and set their water down.

"Are you two ready to order?"

"Yes, could I get the lobster please?" Momo asked, handing the waiter her menu.

"I'll have the steak." Bakugo snapped, handing the waiter his menu as well.

"But of course." he gave a bow and walked away as Bakugo looked at Momo and grabbed his drink.

"Not gonna lie, figured you just wanted to play hero because you were some rich girl who didn't know shit about how things worked." Bakugo admitted, making her narrow her eyes.

"Oh? Well I just assumed you were a thug at first who didn't want to be a villain." She responded. "We're all more complex than our initial impressions would suggest."

Bakugo narrowed his eyes as Momo calmly sipped her water. He would have made a snappy remark, but just huffed and guzzled from his own glass. As he finished his cup he sighed. "Do you mind if I ask you a question?"

"Not at all." She responded.

"Your quirk works through making stuff that pops out of your skin, right? That's why your costume…. Shows a lot?" He asked, trying his best to work the question in a way that wouldn't be an insult.

Momo's face turned pink as she nodded and looked down. "I-I swear I didn't pick it for any other reason than that! I swear!"

"Right, the support departments designs those things, but… why haven't you asked them to change yours? I mean, we're in highschool, why would they make your uniform so…revealing?" He asked, his own face heating up slightly.

"I-I don't know! I just told them how my quirk works and wanted a costume that would make it work better."

"...sounds like whoever made it was a perv." He remarked, making her gasp. "No, really, look me in the eye and tell me that there wasn't a better design for your costume, hell they could have just made your back empty and cover everything else, or at least given you some shorts."

Momo looked at him in surprise, making him raise an eyebrow.

"What?"

"You're starting to sound a little bit like Izuku."

"WHAT?!" Bakugo cried out, only to pause as everyone in the restaurant turned to stare at him. "What the hell do you mean by that?" He asked again, this time quieter.

"You're offering helpful advice about my quirk and ways my costume could work differently."

"That don't make me that deku." he whispered with a frown. "I'm leagues ahead of him."

"Maybe, but did that really require such a reaction?" She asked, looking at him in confusion. "I didn't mean to offend you, I just can't help but take notice."

"I… it's complicated." He scoffed, looking down. Ever since he got to UA, nothing had made sense. Deku, the kid who was always dead lest, little weakling Deku was nearly on par with him, he got called out when he yelled at him, and over time, he couldn't help but have the nagging thought that maybe… he was wrong about Deku? But if he was wrong, and deku was just as strong as him, then didn't that make him weak by default?

Momo saw Bakugo's expressions shift around as he looked away, making her feel like she goofed and said the wrong thing. "Well, um… what did you think about the last lesson we had?"

Bakugo let out a small grin at the topic change, grateful for the easy escape. As the two talked on, they began to find themselves enjoying themselves more than they anticipated. When their food came, they enjoyed it while they kept the conversation going, making time fly by much easier for both. Soon, they'd finished their meals and were leaving the restaurant.

"I…. have to admit Bakugo, that was nice."

"Yeah, it wasn't as shitty as I thought." He admitted. "So…. what happens now? Does this mean we're dating?"

"I….I don't know if I'm ready for that." She admitted nervously, her face blushing red. "The truth is…I've…never really dated someone."

"I haven't either…" Bakugo admitted before grinning. "Well, then if anyone asks, we aren't dating, simple as that."

She looked at him with confusion. "You want us to lie about not dating if anyone asks?"

"Sure, why not, it's not any of their business." He shrugged. "Plus, you just said you're not ready, so we'll just say we're not dating and still hang out."

"And…what if I do want another date?" She asked slowly, her face red.

"Then we can go on another date, and tell people it's not a date. Heh, imagine the look on Pinkie's face when we tell her."

Momo covered her mouth and tried to stifle a laugh imagining her reaction.

"C'mon, she can squirm a bit, she owes us for tricking us into going on a date." He grinned as Momo failed her attempts to stifle her laughter.

"Hahaha! T-That's too good to pass up!"

"Alright, then let's do it! No matter what, we'll always respond that we're not dating." Bakugo grinned, holding out his hand which Momo took and shook.

"Even if it's clearly obvious, we don't falter one bit." She added with a grin, to which Bakugo nodded in agreement. With that, the two students began to head back to their dorm.

(Next day)

"Soooo, how was your date?" Mina asked, looking at the two eagerly as they walked into the classroom.

"Nothing happened." remarked Bakugo bluntly in annoyance as he went to sit at his desk.

"He's right, we had dinner and that was it." Momo added. "What did you expect? That we would fall in love?"

"Well I figured SOMETHING might happen." smirked the girl.

"Well you were wrong. "Also, you owe us Momo." Bakugo added smugly. "You did tell us you were paying for dinner after all."

"Here's the bill." Momo handed the paper to Mina who took one look at it and went wide eyed.

"Wha- this is insane!"

"Yeah, maybe next time you plan a trap like this, set it up at a burger place, those are more affordable." Bakugo laughed.

"B…I…wait! How did you leave there without any problems then?"

"Momo paid the bill, she just took a copy with her so you could pay HER back." Bakugo grinned as Momo nodded.

"I'll expect payment by the end of the week."

"I…but…. Did you two at least kiss?!" She cried out, desperate to learn whether or not this was all for nothing.

"Fuck no pinkie." Bakugo sneered as Momo shook her head no. ''Course… I wouldn't mind if we did.'

"Uggggh! That sucks!" She groaned, slamming her head on her desk out of frustration. "I was sure you two would work well together!"

"Mina, it's not polite to try and make two people get together. It's their business, not yours." Momo refuted, making the pink girl groan. 'It doesn't matter if I had a great time, that was still unfair.'

'Mmmmm, darn it. Maybe I should try someone else. After I pay off Momo. I should have just sent them to a ramen stand.' Mina thought with a pout, not seeing Bakugo and Momo steal glances at each other with grins.

'Ha! Pinkie fell for it.' Bakugo thought smugly. 'I knew this would work!'

(Later)

Midoriya blinked as he stared at the sight in front of him. He was staring at arguably one of the most abrasive people he'd known in his life, Bakugo, sitting on the dorm couch, with Momo on his lap, reading a book. He rubbed at his eye and looked again, seeing it was staying the same.

As he stared at them, Momo looked up and noticed their classmate staring. "Can I help you with something Midoriya?"

"Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to stare." he held up his hands with Bakugo frowning.

"Got something to say Deku?"

"I uh….you…uh….? Since when are you and Momo dating?"

"What? W-W-We're not dating!" Momo said quickly while shaking her head. "Why would you think that?"

"Because you two have been awfully close lately." Izuku remarked, gesturing at the two sitting together. "There's that too…"

"Fuck off Deku, we're not close." barked Bakugo with a blunt tone.

"But...she's sitting on your lap?" Izuku protested, confused at the denial.

"You wanna go Deku? I'll blow you away right here and right now if you don't shut up!" he warned while sparks came from his raised hand.

"O-ok, ok, sorry." Izuku said slowly, feeling unsure.

"That's what I thought." he huffed with Jirou raising an eyebrow at Momo who was chuckling nervously.

"You're bad at lying." She bluntly remarked as Momo shook her head.

"I-I'm not lying though, me and Bakugo really aren't dating." she shook her head. "It's a misunderstanding."

"Really, this is all a misunderstanding? You sitting on his lap?" She asked, an eye raised. "The same guy who nearly blew up when Todoroki sat too close to him on a bus?"

"P-Purely a coincidence!" Momo let out while trying to give a natural smile.

"Then you can get off his lap, right?"

"Of course." She said as she got off of Bakugo's lap and sat down next for him, only for him to lay down and rest his head in her lap. "See?"

"Ahhhh! Damn you!" cursed Mineta holding his head glaring at Bakugo who looked annoyed.

"Shut the fuck up." He growled. "I've already warned you grapehead, one fucking move and you're dead."

"Um, Bakugo, you do know what you're laying on, right?" Izuku said carefully.

"Course I do ya idiot! Do I look stupid to you?"

"Ok...and you know most people don't let people do that unless they're clo-" Izuku started, only for Bakugo to growl at him.

"We're not dating." he repeated through gritted teeth.

"But-"

"Not. Dating." Bakugo and Momo said at the same time.

'They totally are.' Everyone thought as Izuku's eye twitched.

'Why does this feel annoying?' Izuku thought as he shook his head. "W-Well, if you say s-"

"DAMN YOUUUUUU!" Mineta cried out, shaking his fists into the air. "I wanted her! Let me at least touch her booooooobs!"

"TRY IT AND I'LL BLOW YOUR BALLS OFF!" Bakugo snapped, looking more pissed than anyone else had ever seen him. "YOU WANT TO FUCKING DIE?!"

Tsuyu slapped Mineta with her tongue while clearing her throat. "Wow Bakugo, you've never done that before when he acts like a creep."

"Well maybe I'm just sick of it now!" He growled.

"Really? You weren't this mad, even when he groped Momo on national tv." She replied.

His eye twitched as he stood up, the air growing tense as he slammed a fist into his open palm, causing a small explosion. "Me and her ain't datin', but now I'm pissed off! COME HERE MIDGET!"

"Gah! Stop it, you get to fondle her now and I don't, ISN'T THAT ENOUGH?!" Mineta cried, his voice growing louder as he began to run away from the irate Bakugo.

While that one-sided beatdown went on, everyone turned back to Momo with Urakara smiled.

"It's fine really if you two are together, it's your business and I think I speak for everyone when I say we're happy for you."

"W-Well, I'd thank you for that, but as you can see, me and Bakugo aren't dating." Momo shook her head. "Really, we're not at all that close. The idea of dating is far far from our minds."

"Uh-huh, and what would you do if I decided to start hitting on Bakugou, since he's single and all?" Mina asked, a grin growing on her face. "I'll bet you'd get awfully jealous~"

"I-I…I would VERY much like if you didn't do that…or hit on anyone?" Momo said, her face looking like she was sucking on a lemon.

"Ah ha! So you would get jealous."

"N-No! I uh….just….don't want to watch you fail?" Momo said, the rich girl floundering for an answer.

"She has a point." remarked Tsuyu with a finger on her chin while looking at Mina. "I doubt Bakugo would cave."

"Yeah, he seems like a loyal boyfriend."

"Not my boyfriend!" She protested, her face bright red. "Really!"

(Later)

"You know Bakugo, you could have gone a bit easy back there." remarked Momo, she and Bakugo sitting at a table at a maid cafe she had wanted them to visit and try out for about a week.

"Little creep had it coming when he said shit like that. Besides, he wanted to cop a feel of you, what else should I have done? Let him?"

"I don't know, maybe? Everyone seems convinced we're dating… should we come clean?"

"Nah, I say we keep this going, it's kinda fun." Bakugo grinned. "I wanna see how long we can keep going."

"If you say so… I do have to admit, this is rather fun." Momo chuckled.

Unknown to the two of them, a few patrons at the other side of the cafe were focused on them, grins on their faces.

"Ha! Called it." Mina chuckled, her camera clicking as she snapped a few pictures of the couple.

"Wow, I thought it was just a rumor." remarked Kaminari with his head down and wearing black shades.

"Nope, it's the real deal, I got those two together~" Mina chuckled. "I knew they were dating! Why else would two college kids come to a maid cafe together?!"

"Um…we came together Mina." he remarked bluntly with a raised eyebrow. "But I like their choice, who could say no to this place." he grinned while looking at the maids going around taking and delivering orders.

"Hey, focus on why we came here." Mina lightly snapped. 'And maybe on me too… no Mina! First figure out Momo's love life, then focus on your own!'

"Well you already took pictures and we're looking at them in action, so we pretty much know they're a real couple." He shrugged. "What else is there to do now?"

"Us busting them once they leave!" she declared with a pumped up fist. "Catching them together in the act will make them cave and confess!"

"No, I mean what else do we do in the restaurant, they haven't even taken their order yet." Kaminari blinked in curiosity.

"Oh…well we'd be stupid not to try out some of their desert." Mina suggested, putting away the camera.

"Great! Let's get the cheesecake, it sounds great!"

(Later)

"Aha! We got you two! Proof you two are dating!" declared Mina with her finger pointed out at Bakugo and Momo who went wide eyed. "You can't deny it any longer! We saw it all!"

"Saw what? And what do you mean we?" Bakugo asked in confusion.

"Me and Kaminari went to the maid cafe! We saw you two!"

"Yo Bakugou! Way to go!" spoke said blonde walking over with a thumbs up and grin. "Congrats to you two."

"So? You saw us together in one place? Does that mean you and electro here are dating?" Bakugou snapped at Mina.

"What? N-No no! It's not like that!" Mina let out with a blush before frowning. "And no changing the subject! We saw you two and have proof! Only a real couple would come to a maid cafe together like you two did! Admit it!"

"Sorry Mina, but that wasn't a date, Bakugo was just leading me there and he missed his bus back, so he decided to stay with me at the cafe." Momo smiled. "We thought it'd be a waste to not try out some of the food and ordered some for ourselves, nothing wrong with that is there?"

"Nice try, but I have pictures!" Mina declared, showing off the pictures she took.

"Fake." Bakugo instantly remarked, barely glancing at the photos. "I don't smile like that, and you made Ponytail's hair too long."

"Fa-Don't try to deny the truth!" Mina protested.

"You probably photoshopped that." Momo added, looking at the photos. "They're a good job, but undeniably fake."

"I didn't edit them! I just took them ten minutes ago!" Momo protested. "They're real!"

"Whatever you say Mina, but in all seriousness, it's worrying that you're so focused on something that isn't real." Momo sighed, shaking her head.

"Wha- but it is real! You two… gah!" she grabbed at her face with both hands and dragged them against her skin. "How long are you gonna keep trying to pretend?!"

"It's simple. We aren't Mina, the sooner you accept that, the sooner you can get past this obsession."

"Yeah, it's getting sad." Bakugo added, trying his best not to laugh as Mina let out a cry of frustration and began to stomp away. 'Ha! Suck it pinkie!'

"You do know no one would think less of you two for dating, right?" Kaminari asked, tilting his head in confusion.

"Well since it'll never happen, we won't know." Momo added as she and Bakugo began to walk away, hand in hand.

"...welp, if you say so." he shrugged before going back the other way. 'Wonder if Mina wants to hang out later on.'

(Later)

"Wow, you were right, this place isn't half bad." Bakugo admitted, sitting next to Momo in what looked like a cafe inside a library.

"See? It never hurts to try someplace less busy, and the soothing music helps." She smiled while she laid her head against his shoulder.

"Yeah, it's pretty peaceful." He nodded, smiling as he picked up a random book off the shelf near them. 'This is nice.'

"And you thought it would be boring." She said, chuckling with a smile.

"Eh shut up." he muttered in a joking tone.

As the 'just two friends' relaxed, they didn't notice two familiar girls entering the peaceful cafe.

"I wonder what kind of books they have here. I've been meaning to give that latest novel they've been talking about online a try." Uraraka remarked with a smile. "I just hope I have time to finish my book!"

"Yeah, it's a shame you can't take the books with you when you leave." remarked Tsuyu as she looked at the menu of drinks and pastries. As she glanced up from her menu, she spotted someone familiar out of the corner of her eye and turned to see Bakugo and Momo cuddling up next to each other a few booths down from her and Uraraka's. "Hey look, the lovebirds are here too."

Uraraka turned and let out a small aww at the scene. "Those two are so cute together, who knew they'd make a good couple?"

"Maybe Mina, but I still think she set them up as a joke."

"Well as long as they're happy together, that's the important part." Uraraka nodded as Tsuyu nodded. "Still, I wonder when they'll give up the farce about not dating?"

"I'm waiting to see if they get a bit too out of hand and let it slip. I could see them getting drunk at a party and spilling every single dirty secret." Tsuyu smiled. "One day they'll eventually slip up."

"If you say so, but they've managed to keep it up for two months now."

"Bakugo's headstrong and hot-headed, someone's gonna say or do the wrong thing and he'll blab."

"True, and I suppose Momo is pretty self-disciplined, if she doesn't want to tell us, then she won't, will she?"

"Hmmm, that gives me an idea." remarked the frog girl before standing up and walking towards the two.

"Huh? What are you doing?"

Momo took a bite out of her biscuit before she and Bakugo looked up as Tsuyu walked to them.

"Fancy seeing you two here, I didn't think this was your sort of place Bakugo." She remarked, her face blank as Bakugo shrugged.

"So I tried something new, what's it to you?"

"I just figured you'd get bored with an atmosphere like this. No loud music, a calm and cool air, and not much greasy food. What caught your eye?" She asked, glancing at Momo. "Was it perhaps your girlfriend's idea, her recommendation and you agreed to make her happy?"

"Why are you looking at me? We're nothing more than friends." Momo waved her hand with a smile.

"Friends who are awfully close to where you'd lay your head on them?" She asked, making Momo's face heat up a bit. "You don't see me doing that with you, or with Uraraka, so why are you doing it with Bakugo?"

"I-I-I just feel a bit lightheaded is all! It's easier on my neck too." She protested. "I-It's really not what you believe, honest!"

"Uh-huh, sure, though that doesn't answer the question why you and Bakugo are here together." she tilted her head. "I'd imagine if someone saw you two like this, they'd think you two were a real couple, but that wouldn't be such a bad thing, would it?"

"Well it would be because they're wrong! They'd be assholes for making such a wild, crazy observation!"

"So the idea of you two together is something you'd hate? Harsh." She remarked as Bakugo began to sputter, indignant as he glanced at Momo, a flurry of emotions across his face. 'Got him.'

"Tsuyu, if they want to make assumptions that aren't true, that's their fault. What matters is we know the truth." Momo clarified. "Me and Bakugo know where we stand just fine, isn't that right?"

"Yeah!" Bakugo said, grateful for the sudden save.

"If you say so." she turned to walk away, but stopped and glanced at them. "So I guess this means you haven't kissed anyone? Or would that just be a friendly peck on the cheek?"

"Wha- of course we haven't kissed anyone, neither of us are dating anyone."

"I recommend practicing in that case." with that, the frog girl left the two alone.

"S-She's just trying to get a rise out of us!" Momo squealed, her face turning red as she glanced at Bakugo.

"Tch, damn frog." He scoffed in annoyance.

"Yeah…. Though." Momo started, looking away in embarrassment. "I… wouldn't mind trying that later…"

His eyes widened as he looked at her, his own cheeks turning pinkish. "W-Well uh…I….ok, sure, we can try that…later…"

She looked down with a small smile, which Urakara and Tsuyu managed to spot from their spot.

"Called it~"

(Later)

"So…. when do you think they'll stop beating around the bush and just admit they're dating?"

"I've been asking that for months." Izuku sighed as Urakraka chuckled. "They just…refuse!"

"Well, they're not too good at 'hiding' their relationship."

"If you could even call that hiding." Izuku said, looking over at Bakugo and Momo who were cuddling, with Momo giggling as she had several marks on her neck that looked a lot like hickeys, and Bakugo's lips were tinged red, as if they had someone's smudged lipstick on them.

"Hey you two! When's the wedding!?" called out Sero with a chuckle.

"You can't marry someone you're not dating, idiot!" Bakugo automatically responded.

"So you always wear lipstick?" teased Hagakure.

"Nope, I don't see anything, you must be hallucinating." Momo remarked, gently wiping his lips with her handkerchief.

Mineta banged his head against the wall again and again while tears ran down his face with his teeth gritted together. "They're mocking us…taunting us…it's not fair…"

"Dude, you really need to let it go." Kaminari remarked, sitting at a desk nearby the purple pervert.

"You and Mina are no different!" he pointed at the blonde with his finger shaking and eye twitching.

Kaminari's face turned pink while Aoyama held a hand to his head.

"I think their insistence on being naive is beautiful. It takes true determination and loyalty to hide their feelings; they must be truly devoted to keep this up for this long. It's radiant really!"

"Ah shut it you French weirdo! I just want that blonde asshole to just fucking let me have one single grope!" Mineta snapped, only for a Russian nesting doll to hit him on the forehead.

"That was deserved." remarked Shoji with a nod of his head.

"Agreed." Izuku said before sighing. "I'm sure they'll drop this act eventually, right? I mean, how long can they keep it up?"

Izuku smiled as he waved to the cameras, the now pro hero grinning as the public cheered after he and Ground Zero, aka Bakugo, had teamed up to take down a dangerous duo of villains. The reporters were all trying to talk over each other to get the latest insight from him with flashes making it nearly blinding.

"Yeah yeah, you're welcome." Bakugo growled, his eyes squinting from the flashing lights. 'Can't this go any faster? She should be here soon and I don't want these vultures to see her.'

"What was going through your heads?"

"Did you think this was a bit harder than usual?"

"Can we expect more team ups in the future?"

"No, this was easy as can be, and if I can avoid it I don't want to team up again." Bakugo snapped, with the reporters just laughing at the gruff pro hero's attitude.

"I think things would have gone the same, whether it was on our own, but working together made it work out no matter what, and I think that's what's important." smiled Izuku.

The reporters nodded to their answers, and after a few extra questions they began to disperse slowly.

"Damn vultures." muttered Bakugo.

"Well, what can you do?" Izuku chuckled before seeing a figure starting to approach the two heroes. "Oh, looks like we're gonna get to sign some autographs."

Bakugo looked up and smirked as an older looking Momo walked over while holding a purse over her shoulder.

"Oh! Hi Momo." greeted Izuku with a smile. "You taking the day off?"

"Yep! I was just on my way to run some errands when I heard the commotion, so we decided to come and see you two."

"We?" He looked confused before looking around and then back to Momo. "But, it's just you."

"Well, not quite." Momo chuckled, patting her stomach. "Just a heads up I'll be taking a leave from active duty for a while."

Izuku's eyes widened, connecting the dots before turning to Bakugo in shock. "I didn't know you two were expecting."

"I'm not, it's not my kid, seeing how me and her aren't together." Bakugo remarked, rolling his eyes.

"W-Katsuki! You know that won't work! It's been years and there's nobody else who it could be! Unless…" he looked at Momo with uncertainty.

"Now, I know what you're thinking Izuku, and yes, I'm afraid it's true…. It's an immaculate conception." Momo said, a teasing grin on her face.

Izuku nearly fell over on his side at the answer, her and Bakugo sharing a smile as he righted himself and held a hand to his head. "I…I…Come on you two, don't you think this has gone on long enough?"

"Gone on… what are you talking about Izuku?"

"You two! Pretending that you aren't a couple! It's been years! You two are about to have a child together!" he threw his hands out in exasperation, his patience wearing down. "We won't judge you! We're happy for you!"

"Deku, you got to calm down, you're freaking out over nothing, you're almost as bad as Mineta was… well, before he ended up in prison that is." Bakugo remarked, shaking his head.

Izuku looked at Bakugo before facepalming and let out a heavy sigh. "I…Ok, ok, you want to keep this up? It's your choice, just…just know that I still support it."

"Feel free to support whatever you like Deku, doesn't mean your insane conspiracy theory is gonna come true." Bakugo remarked as Momo nodded along.

'How much longer can they keep it up?!'

"So, have you heard from Bakugo or Momo lately?" Uraraka asked curiously.

"No, they've been pretty quiet for a long time, it's making me worried for them." remarked Izuku with a hand to his chin. "Hmm, I wonder if they're taking some time off from hero work."

"Well, who knows….wait." Uraraka said, squinting her eyes as she spotted a familiar figure across the street from them. "I…I think I see them."

"Huh? Where?" Izuku remarked as Uraraka pointed to the couple. "God, it feels like it's been years since I saw them!"

"But who's that with them?" She remarked, pointing to a young girl who was between the two, who had hair styled like Momo's, but was the same color as Bakugo. "Wait…"

"Hey, Bakugo! Momo!" Izuku waved at the two grown ups, the girl holding Bakugo's hand before they turned and spotted Izuku.

"Hey Deku." Bakugo remarked, lazily waving his hand.

"Hello." Momo waved with a smile before they made their way over. "It's been awhile since we've seen you, how have you two been?"

"Great, I can see you had your kid, why didn't you tell us?" Uraraka asked as Izuku finally noticed the blonde girl.

"Wait, Bakugo is that… your daughter?"

"Daughter? What the hell are you talking about?" he questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"But… she looks just like you." Izuku remarked, looking at him and the girl in confusion. 'Is he still pretending that he and Momo aren't a thing?'

"Her?" He pointed to the girl who waved. "Never seen her before."

"But... you're holding her hand."

"Yeah, so what?"

"That's what a parent does." Izuku held his hands out in front at Bakugo, feeling his sanity reaching a breaking point.

"I'm a hero Deku, I help kids, and that includes holding hands sometimes."

"She looks just like you and Momo!" Urakara chimed in.

"That's just a coincidence." Momo added. "Kids come in all shapes and sizes so it's just one of those things that is perfectly natural."

"I see... excuse me, are these two your parents?" Izuku asked the girl, looking right at her. 'Yes, now she'll tell the truth about this!'

She blinked and looked up at the two before smiling at Izuku. "Nope! I've never seen them in my life."

"What?!" He cried out in shock, along with despair. 'They got her playing along too!'

"But…if they're not your parents, then where are they?" Urakara spoke up with a sweatdrop.

"Around, don't worry about it, we're just babysitting. It's not like me and Bakugo are her parents." Momo smiled.

"You are!" Izuku and Urakara said at once.

"You're both crazy."

"Yeah! Crazy!" the girl piped up before giggling.

"Nice one." Bakugo whispered, making her giggle.

"I….gah! C'mon, how long are you two going to keep playing this game?!" Izuku asked, his eye twitching as his composure came apart. "It's been years!"

"Years since what? Really Deku, you need to relax, a hero can't be this crazy." Bakugo smirked.

He stared at Bakugo before holding a finger up, slowly walked over to a nearby lamppost, and started to bang his forehead against it over and over.

'God this is the best idea I've ever had!' Bakugo thought with a grin.

'Hmm, I hope Izuku doesn't hurt himself.' thought Momo.

'I want ice cream.' thought the little girl while flashing a smile that looked like one Bakugo would give.
