It was another peaceful day in Fuyuki city, as both masters and servants decided to coexist and forget about the grail war. Things had returned to their old peaceful and yet boring ways, not that anyone minded it, but due to the lack of activities and a lot of free time, especially in summer break, a certain redhead was exhausting himself to pass time, becoming a workaholic of sorts.
"Shirou, do you need to clean the house again?" asked Saber as he was in the middle of doing just that, now the Emiya household was surely big and needed to be cleaned casually, but four times in one day is kind of too much isn't it?
"Yeah, it might get dusty any time now." he called back, dusting around the corners without turning to her, bags under his eyes. His tone sounded empty and exhausted, with him slouching and seemed like a zombie. "Then I'll get to work on the laundry."
"You know you can rely on others to help with that right? You're not alone here, plus you seem like you desperately need a good sleep for…two days at least."
"Very funny Saber, you don't need to worry, I just need to work." he said as he continued cleaning the house like a soulless husk.
"I doubt that." she said as the door opened, revealing Rin and Sakura.
"Hey Shi-MY EYES! MY EYES!" cried Rin in pain as the house was so clean it literally burnt the eyes of those who didn't see it for a while.
"I CAN'T SEE!" Sakura cried out, ducking behind Rin to avoid the stainless clean house while Shirou slowly turned and smiled.
"Rin, Sakura, hi there." he gave a sluggish wave.
"Emiya, why is your house like this?! And…are you alive?"
"Well I had a lot of free time so I decided to clean it up, and yes, as you can see I'm perfectly alive." he said without looking at her as he continued cleaning.
"Senpai, I think you should take it more easy, you don't look okay at all."
"Of course I am Sakura. By the way, when did you get a cat?" he asked, making the two turn to each other.
"I think he's seeing things." remarked Rin in a deadpan before shaking her head. "Have you gotten ANY sleep at all?"
"Justice doesn't sleep at all, and to prove my worth to him I won't sleep either, sure sometimes my will gets weakened and I want to give up and fall into slumber, but justice is always there to wake me up."
"He takes short naps and by short I mean 1 minute at best before waking up talking with his imaginary friends, I tried to stop him but he used command seals on me." clarified Saber.
"Okay yeah, Shirou, I think you are literally putting your life on the line here, and not in any heroic way. If you don't get some rest now I think we will have to force you to."
"Huh, you think you can shake me? I have a missio-" he said before he fell asleep due to exhaustion while standing up.
"Well that was easier than I thought but okay, Sakura go and tie him up while he is asleep, Saber go call the others, we need to arrange a meeting."
(Later)
"So you want us to help you find a way to help Shirou rest?" asked Taiga as she was sitting near Illya and Medusa now, "and where is Sakura?"
"Exactly, we need to put him in a new environment where he doesn't need to work. This house isn't safe for him, as for Sakura I told her to tie him up, she's probably working on that."
(In Shirou's room)
"Just..one more picture!"said Sakura as she was taking pictures of a tied up sleeping Shirou, "...Another one is okay!"
(Back to the other girls)
"Why do I feel like that's a bad idea?" sweatdropped Taiga. "You know, given her….obsession."
"She's not obsessed. It's just a little crush." said Rin, "Anyway, do any of you have an idea on what to do with him?"
"How about he stays in my castle! We can get our bond as siblings closer." suggested Illya.
"For one I question the purity of your "siblings love", for two sending Shirou now to a castle is like sending a sugar addict to Willy Wonka's factory." she deadpanned. "He'd just go back to trying to clean the whole place from top to bottom."
"Maybe….he could go on a vacation." suggested Saber. "Somewhere for him to relax and not have anything to truly clean."
"That isn't a bad idea actually, but it needs to be far away from here, and we need to make sure he won't find a way to come back for a while."
"How about traveling through a plane or a ship?"
"Now that you mentioned it…I did win a prize ticket to a vacation on an island, journey by ship. I was gonna give it to Sakura but I guess Shirou comes first now." said Medusa.
"Good, then we have a plan." Rin nodded. "We'll get Shirou to the island and give him the chance to relax and not worry about anything."
"Assuming Sakura's done ogling him." teased Taiga.
"She's not doing that! She's not some pervert with a sick mind unlike you!" she sputtered with a glare.
"You sure about that?"
"Yes"
(With Shirou and Sakura)
"This position is PERFECT!" Said Sakura as Shirou turned to the other side and gave her his back, AKA a perfect view of his ass, adding that he was tied and leaned a bit, making it stand out. 'Maybe I can touch it…no harm in one try…' she thought before the door opened, making her heart almost burst out of her chest and automatically hide her phone. "I DONE NOTHING!"
"See, she is completely innocent."
Taiga looked unconvinced and crossed her arms. "I call bull. Sakura, where's the camera?"
"Camera? What camera? I don't know what you're talking about." She said with the loud noises making Shirou mumble and slowly wake up, "That's convin-I mean how about we stop arguing loudly and see if senpai is okay?"
"Hmph, you win this time girl, you win this time…" said Taiga as she and Sakura exchanged serious stares before shifting focus to Shirou.
"W-what happened?.. And why am I tied up?"
"Good news Shirou, you're going on a vacation"
"...say what?"
"After we saw how you were acting lately we decided it's best you stay far from this house for a while…far, far away".
"Oh come on! I just collapsed once and now I have to take it easy!? Justice, tell them your opinion!... What do you mean you agree with them!?" he turned to the side, talking to literally no one.
"Yeah...I think he crossed the point of red flags." said Illya.
"That he did, anyway Shirou, you are going to take this vacation and that's that, the day after tomorrow the ship will sail so prepare yourself."
"Fine, you win, but only because justice is on your side"
"Sure…"
"And he thinks you're hot."
"Oh! Well at least he has good taste."
(Next day)
"Alright Shirou, do you have everything?" asked Rin as Shirou was about to leave his house.
"I think I do, but are you guys still sure about this?"
"Yes, you did good and gave it your all, now you get the rest you deserve."
"We will miss you senpai, but this is for the best." said Sakura.
"Fine, I'll miss you guys as well, take care of everyone."
"We will, now go and have some good times."
He waved to them before heading out of the house and down the street, inwardly sighing. 'I hope I can, but that's easier said than done right now.'
After a long hike to the harbor, he found the ship that would be taking him. After showing them his ticket, he was let aboard.
(On the ship)
"Well…guess this is my room." he said, still feeling a bit weird being on a ship and this far from home for the first time. As he entered he went directly to the bed and sat there, and while he wasn't expecting much, he had to admit it was a pretty good looking room, 'Huh, maybe this will be fun after all.'
"GOOD MORNING PASSENGERS!" came the sudden voice of the captain from the speakers, making Shirou jump and fall on the floor.
"Or maybe not."
"I JUST WANTED TO INFORM YOU THAT THE SHIP WILL START SAILING NOW, WE WISH YOU ALL A PLEASANT TRAVEL!"
"Well.. at least he will shu-"
"BUT DON'T WORRY, YOU WILL HEAR MY VOICE EVERY DAY, IT WILL BE THE ONE TO WAKE YOU UP AND SOOTH YOU TO SLEEP!"
"...I'll ask how much I should pay for breaking this thing later." he said before turning his head to the book near him, 'Maybe this can help me relax a little.'
"AND WHILE WE GET SAILING, I SHALL KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP WITH MY FAVORITE SONG, ONE HUNDRED BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL!"
Shirou felt his eye twitch as he gripped the book. 'Just tune it out, just tune it out…'
(Later)
Shirou was reading the book, it wasn't anything complex but it was a classic old fairy tale, what he needed to escape from that voice. Flipping the pages he ended up in the story of the Beni-Enma.
He found the heroine of the story likable and got a little bit too much into her story, enough to not notice that he cut his finger with the paper and it's bleeding a little now. He flipped the page, but before he could keep reading, that's when he saw the book beginning to glow, making him drop it in surprise. "Hey, what's…wait a minute…." in shock he threw the book away before he finally realized what was going on, "Oh no…"
The light exploded into smoke, and there, near the book, stood a short fair skinned young girl with short dark red hair with a long ponytail that went down to the ground that gradually changed from red to a bright gold color towards the tip and was tied in the middle by a gold cloth, dark red eyes, an A cup chest and small ass, wearing a dark red long sleeved kimono with gold lining and gold flame emblems on the ends of the sleeves that went down to her upper thighs, a black obi on her back that was tied in a bow with dark blue patterns on the ends, a fluffy white apron with white feathers around the neck, hips and shoulders along with dark brownish gold feathers over the shoulders, a dark red sparrow shaped cap with a white conical border and two gold pins on the sides, a small black beak shaped tokin on her forehead, white tabi socks and black red lined single toothed okobo with dark yellow hanao.
"Servant Beni-enma, class Saber, ready to serve you," said the girl who looked at her new master who…seemed pretty unphased, "Did…did I mess up my lines or something?"
"Well, no not really," he admitted. "It's just…I wasn't expecting this."
"Oh, well most aren't when they summon a servant. You see I-"
"I know what a servant is. I already have one, which is why this is confusing." he admitted, making her blink. "I thought you could only summon one servant."
"Huh, now that's pretty interesting, USUALLY you can summon only one, but if something wrong is going on with the grail, which is the case…90% of the time, you can summon more, then that must mean this a serious case, I will do my best master, but I'm not sure if I can-"
"Ah no, you shouldn't worry, all masters and servants decided to cease fire and stop the war, now we are all living together in peace."
"WHAT?! Then what's my purpose here?!" she cried out with wide eyes.
"Well…we are on a vacation on a ship soo…enjoying our time I suppose?" he gave his best answer as she looked around the room.
"We're on a ship? Odd. The cabins on the ships I recall weren't this clean, or have tidy sheets, and it didn't reek."
"Well this is how ships are now, and beside a certain person's voice, it's pretty relaxing." he sat down on the bed as the girl noticed the book in hand.
"Ah, I see you've been reading my tale."
"Yes, it was a lot of fun, and you were a pretty nice character too."
"Well, I take that with pride." she smiled with a bow of her head. "It's been a long time since I had a master compliment me like that. "Pray tell, what is the name of my master?"
"Shirou Emiya."
"A name fitting for a master, glad to meet you, Shirou Emiya" she said as she shook his hand.
"Same he-!" He said before getting jumpscared by knocking on the door.
"Sir, are you alright? I heard strange noises."
"Hey! He is my-mmm!?" She said before Shirou put his hand on her mouth.
"What was that sir?"
"Nothing! I just…like talking with myself a lot!" he blurted out on impulse. "Nothing to worry about!"
"Oh! Well….good luck then." came the man before both heard the footsteps as he walked away.
"Okay, we're safe." Said Shirou as he let go of her.
"Master! What was the meaning of this? You can't treat your servant like this!"
"I know I know, I'm sorry, but I had a ticket for one person only, if they catch you up with me we both will be in serious trouble." he explained as she puffed out her cheeks.
"A word of warning would have been more proper."
"I'm sorry I didn't expect him to come check on us."
"Still!"
"Look, how about I make it up for you and cook something?"
"Cook? In here?" she raised an eyebrow. "More space makes sense to house more ingredients."
"Well I can make due with what I got, and I HAVE been told I'm a great cook."
"...alright, prove it and I'll believe it."
(A short while later)
"Yes I believe it," Benni said casually, "this is really good."
"See now?"
"However, I do believe that my cooking is better, in my humble opinion of course, my master." she replied as she picked at the rice in her bowl.
'How is that humble?' thought Shirou sarcastically. "Well I didn't taste your food, so I don't think there is a real way for us to know"
"Distrusting me master?"
"No, I'm just saying that we can't make any final judgments yet."
"Emphasis on 'yet'." she remarked as though she won, making Shirou sweatdrop.
"Right…"
"Well anyway master, I'm indeed impressed enough with your skills and would like to repay you."
"Thanks, but I don't think that's necessary, really."
"I insist, I lost my temper before and made you, my master, serve me a fairly above average meal, I'm just getting things to their proper order."
'She's not going to let it go.' he thought with a sweatdrop before sighing. "Alright, if you're so sure."
"I am," she said with a bit of smugness to her tone, "now if there is a store on this thing, would you lead me to it so I can get the necessary ingredients?"
"What did I tell you about not letting others catch you with me?"
"I know, I know,, but how about this idea, what if I pretend to be some doll and you carry me around the ship? I know my size and I don't feel bad about it and, in my humble opinion, I'm as cute as a doll, no one will suspect a thing."
"I…I'm not sure if this will work, really Benn you don't need to do this, I believe your food is good. I don't need to prove it to me." he tried to reason.
"Proving what my master?! Are you accusing me of doing this only for that pity competition? I'm doing this only to do my duty and make my master happy." she huffed with a frown.
"I mean..I'll be happier if we don-" he said before she put a finger on his lips.
"Shush! We are going now and I will prove to you that my foo-I mean my dedication has no equal! Now get up, dress and let's go shopping!"
"Yes mom!" he said before realizing what he just called her, blushed deeply and saw a smug smile on her face.
"Good~ now wait here, I will be changing in the bathroom." she said before she left him to do what she said.
"What…what just happened?!" he let out in disbelief and confusion, unsure how he came to a response like that. 'Did I get ahead of myself? I…I don't think I've ever called someone mom. Especially to someone I just met! Oooh, I've got a bad feeling about this, but if it settles this, then it can't be too bad.'
(Few minutes later)
'Well it was too bad.' thought Shirou as he was holding Benni's hand as they were walking to a shop in the restaurant. The good thing was that Benni managed to move robotically so that Shirou convinced a few times that she was indeed a doll.
The bad thing was that every kid and their parents wanted to buy her. Some kids even tugging on her arms or clothes, with said girl somehow managing to keep a straight face, but Shirou knew she must have been feeling annoyed the longer it went on.
"I'm sorry, but she's not for sale. She's…one of a kind." he tried to reason with a father whose son was trying to climb up on Benni's back, and failing. "I couldn't part with her."
Too bad for Shirou, his servant was one weak to flattery, so just upon hearing these words her face became tomato red.
"Wait, is she blushing?"
"Mom! I want her!"
"Sir, come on! I'm sure there can be a good enough price!"
"Sorry, no can do." he replied with a nervous glance to her. 'Don't move or say anything, please!'
"Oh come now, just name a price and it's yours."
"I..I…! I want to see a ghost! Whoever brings me my ancestors ghost who gave me this doll and has him agree to let go of her I will give this toy to!"
"But that's absurd!"
"Mommy I want to see a ghost!"
"Me too!"
And so as mayhem ensued, Shirou and Benni took the chance to steal the food and escape.
(Back to their room)
"Excellent way of distracting them." Remarked the servant as she bit into some bread. "Unorthodox, but it did the job."
"I just said the first thing that came to mind."
"Won't recommend that usually, but it was helpful this time." she said before heading to the kitchen. "Wait for a few minutes now, your meal will be ready soon."
Shirou nodded and sat down, folding his hands together as he saw her grab the ingredients needed, mentally wondering what to expect. After a while the food came in prepared, both smelled and looked as good can be, 'Well, the presentation is good so far.'
"Allow yourself to indulge in this master, no one will blame you I'm sure."
He grabbed the chopsticks and took a piece, popping it in his mouth and chewed, letting the taste settle in before he sat up with wide eyes. "Woah!"
"What? Is it too salty? Too hot?"
"No, it's amazing! Reminds me of my first dish I got right. Taiga-nee went nuts when I served it to her."
"I see, I'm glad you liked it." Benni said smugly with a light blush.
"Not like, I loved it!" He said, making the servant's blush even more.
"T-thank you, I suppose this makes it a tie between us."
Shirou went ahead to dig in faster, eager to take it all in with Benni finding his eagerness flattering. In no time the dishes were empty with him sighing in relief and laid on the floor. "Ah, that hit the spot."
"I'm very glad to know so." Benni said with a warm expression, "It really has been a long time since I sat together with a human like this."
"We've still got time before we arrive, we could burn it by talking?" he suggested.
"I would love to."
(Later)
"ATTENTION ALL PASSENGERS! WE HAVE ARRIVED AT OUR DESTINATION!" the announcement echoed all through the ship, making everyone pretty much almost have a heart attack.
"Well that's one way to wake up, I almost saw my whole life run before me, you okay Benni?" asked Shirou before noticing the servant hugging his arm tightly and shivering like a wet cat.
"I will NEVER get used to this, never!" she growled, before noticing what she was doing and backed up quickly while looking away with pink cheeks and cleared her throat. "A-Ahem, we best get off then."
"Which means you're gonna have to play pretend again." Shirou revealed with a nervous smile as she groaned.
"Fine, but if anyone attempts to buy me, I WILL remember their face."
"Calm down, they aren't as annoying about it as they were before."
(Few minutes later)
"I take that back." said Shirou holding tight to Benni's hand as a crowd surrounded them.
"Sir please! I can't bring you a ghost, but you can be in the MCU!"
"Oh yeah?! I can have him in the DCU. How about that!?" Said a woman before everyone went silent and then proceeded to act as if nothing happened. "Come on! The Joker was a hit!"
"Sir, I can give you an island!
"I can make your YouTube channel own half the users on the platform!"
"I can take her by force! How about that!" Said a man as he held her hand and tried to pull her away, but she didn't move, the man's hand started to feel a strong pressure squeezing. He let a cry escape his lips, "W-what?!" He said before, as if time stopped with everyone focused on her owner, the doll turned her face 180 degrees and met his, she looked at him with the smile of a Buddha before speaking.
"I. Will. Remember. Your. Face." she said looking straight through his eyes to the depth of his soul, unshaken by all she saw within him before SHE let go of his hand making him fall to the ground on someone's kid.
"My son!"
"She! She s-s-s-spoke!" Yelled the man causing a disturbance with all the chaos that was going on there, giving Shirou and Benni some space to escape.
"What's going on?" Said Shirou trying to turn back to see what happened before Benni moved his hand forward, he understood her signal and took the chance to escape through the confusion. He took off past numerous crew hands and headed towards a resting area ahead, letting out a sigh of relief. "I really hope we don't run into any more crazies."
"Relax, if anymore show up, I can help make my point." she smiled innocently, with an underlying tone that made Shirou too nervous to ask for details.
"Al.. right? Well either way we are finally in the island, you can pretend to be my relative and walk freely around now "
"Honestly I couldn't be happier, tho…what relative should I play the role of~?"
"Hm? I don't know, maybe my sister or cousin, whatever suits you really."
"Whatever suits me~...how about…your mother~" she said, reminding Shirou of what he said before and turning his face red.
"No!"
"You said whatever I want, and that's what I want to do."
"But…ugh fine, just don't…I don't know!"
"It's alright sweetie, mommy won't do anything frustrating~" she said with her tone of voice alone bringing a blush out of him.
(After a while)
"What do you think of this hotel room?" asked Shirou as they put their stuff in its place.
"I like it a lot honestly, the hot springs should be good too, too bad there aren't many people here."
"Hm? Why?"
"It was fun having you explain me as your mother to the employees." she said, letting out a giggle.
"Ugh, next time you help me with that."
"Of course, I'm just teasing you." she said before taking a silent pose and then, after planning her words and composing her emotions, she spoke again, "Can you do me a favor?"
"But of course."
"Eager to please, I see." she said, making him facepalm.
"That's not it."
"Just teasing~" she sang, "but seriously, there is a place here I would love to visit, I don't know how long it will take, but if you don't mind I-"
"We can go now, well if you want to." he cut in, making her smile eagerly.
"Yes! Thanks sweetie, you're so good to mommy~" she teased while patting his back making him groan, but smiled quickly.
'Well, at least she is happy.'
(A short while later)
"So...where is it?" asked Benni as they were in the supposed spot of the old man's house.
"I'm not sure." Shirou looked around the area, trees all around them as Benni looked lost. "Maybe we took a wrong turn."
"No, no I remember it clearly. The rock over there is the same, and that tree with the crooked roots is bigger, but I still remember tripping over it. The house HAS to be here!" she said in desperation, an idea of what may have happened flashed through her mind, but she shut it off quickly.
"I don't know…was it hidden somewhere?"
"No, it was easy to spot, I can almost see it here, but it's just…gone…something is off." she muttered, lip trembling as she gripped her hands. "It has to be here…"
Shirou saw her looking distressed and had a funny feeling, but didn't say what it was. Instead, he walked over to her and hugged her from behind.
"It has…has…has to be here! IT CAN'T BE GONE!" she cried out in desperation still looking around but to no avail, "It can't be…this was my whole past, it's everything, it can't be gone." she said as her eyes started tearing up.
Shirou hugged her tighter, staying quiet since it wasn't his place to speak up as she started shaking.
"I…I…WAAAAAAA!" she let out a loud cry, nearly falling down to the ground if Shirou didn't keep her steady.
"It's alright, it's alright…" Shirou said, patting her on the back of her head, trying to not speak a lot. For Benni she noticed people passing by and looking at them, making her feel sorry for herself, but couldn't stop crying, Shirou on the other hand didn't seem to care and kept his attention on her.
After a while Benni calmed down a little, though she still would get teary eyed. Shirou didn't mind, instead just taking them to a place that was more private.
"I'm sorry for m…my reaction, and all that happened, that was very inappropriate of me."
"It's alright, you lost something precious to you, that was the most normal thing to do." he reassured her while patting her on the back as she looked down at the ground.
"I…I guess time really has passed. All that I knew and grew up around is long gone, forgotten. Nothing left…"
"Well, I wouldn't say that." he replied, making her turn to him confused, "It's not really forgotten because you're still here to remember."
"Do you think so?" she said looking at him with teary eyes, with him giving her a warm smile and hugging her again.
"I don't doubt it, as long as you are making the most out of their memory, it won't be forgotten."
She sniffled and gripped him tightly, burying her face against his chest. "Thank you." she got out, muffled it was, but Shirou could still make it out. He didn't say anything and continued hugging her.
(A short while later)
"I'm sorry again for how I acted there."
"It's fine, really, you don't need to keep apologizing for it."
"But…" she said before grinning, "As your mother I should be the mature one here shouldn't I dear?"
"Don't say it like that!" He said a bit annoyed, but happy she got back to her usual self.
"Just teasing~, I think it may say a lot you haven't gotten used to it yet."
"What do you mean?"
"Nevermind, how about we go somewhere and relax better there?"
"Sounds good to me."
"Then it's settled, to the hot springs!" she raised her finger out to the air.
"Sounds good!"
(Later)
"This is bad." said Shirou as Benni was sitting near him. Both of them were sitting in the water, naked, with Shirou trying to keep his eyes from drifting.
"Oh, why say that now dear? Weren't you excited just minutes ago?" she asked with an innocent tone and devious look in her eyes.
"It was an hour ago, and I thought you were going to the women's bath." he turned his head away.
"And leave you? Impossible, it's my duty as your servant and mother to watch over you."
"I get…the servant part! But what if someone gets in and sees you?"
"Well then" she got up and sat between his legs, "I can pretend to be your doll again, can't I~?"
Shirou's face turned more red, this not being caused by the steam. He tried to keep his mind focused away from the compromising position. "M-M-Maybe I could let you soak and come back later."
"Nope~, I want us to have this as our special bonding time. After all that was happening, isn't it nice that we can enjoy a moment like this together?"
"You got a point there, but…"
"Don't worry, I mean what's the worst that can happen?" She said before someone else entered through the door.
"Ah, finally I can relax!" They heard from behind, coming from a man as he walked towards them.
"Spoke too soon?"
"Spoke extremely soon!" Said Shirou as he pulled her to him and the man entered the waters.
"Hey kiddo, were you talking to someone here?"
"Just myself, I was thinking out loud is all." he tried to give a nonchalant smile.
"I see, that's a pretty expensive looking doll you got there, where did you get it?" he asked, pointing to the girl who kept still without flinching.
"Oh you know, the internet."
"Remember the name? I may get one like this for my daughter, if I ever get one." said the man looking a little bit sad.
"Oh! I think maybe something that starts with Benni? Or bean maybe? Honestly I think I just found her so adorable I couldn't even read the name." said Shirou, making Benni blush, however that turned to a perverted smile as she pulled back and started rubbing his crotch with her rear. He tensed up and tried harder to keep a smile. 'Benni, don't do that!'
"Heh, you kids have got it made nowadays. That dolls so real, I figured you were here with your girlfriend."
"Nah nah, j-just wanted…to go on a vacation. Get out and see the sights, but I didn't wanna stand out, so I brought her. I-I'm not a creep though! I swear!" he sputtered out quickly.
"Wish I was that lucky. Never had much luck in my life, especially with my old job. Those things probably cost an arm and a leg."
'Huh…that sounds awfully specif.. BENNI!' he thought as she didn't slow down one bit, "I mean…you aren't THAT old, you still got your life ahead of you"
