AN: hey guys this is just Lee figuring out the gaming system, you can skip if you want just read the summary at the bottom. Glory be to God
Lee woke up to the sound of birds chirping. When he looked around he found himself in a garden shed. So it wasn't a dream then, Lee thought with a tired sigh. Honestly I don't know if I should be relieved that I'm free or crying because the world went to hell. Lee got up and carefully opened the shed. After making sure no danger was around he went outside. It seemed to be about five in the morning as the sun hasn't risen yet but daylight still found its way in Georgia. The chaos seems to have died down. The neighborhood was quiet, too quiet for what happened yesterday.
Suddenly a grey screen popped in front of Lee it read: Congratulations on surviving the first day of the apocalypse, Reward: 2 Stat points, Start Tutorial. Right there's also this thing… ah what the hell, Lee shrugged his shoulders and clicked the Start Tutorial button.
Welcome to the Creed and congratulations on awakening your bloodline. Very few people ever awaken their bloodline even in life or death situation. The bloodline allows the use of a system which greatly enhances your potential and abilities. To start say or think with intent "Open Menu"
This is pretty cool, "Open menu"
A different screen popped up to him. It show himself in a smaller box on the left of the screen. Below the box read: slight injury to left leg, when Lee looked down he was surprised to see his leg was mostly healed now. To the right of the box was text the read:

Wow so this really is like the games my brother made me play, Lee notice there were other tabs too. Map, Status, Inventory, Quests, Skill Tree. Currently he was on status, he clicked map. The screen changes to an overview map of the house. To the right of the main screen was a grey square that read: To zoom out place fingers on map and squeeze them together. To zoom in do the opposite motion. Drag your finger across the map to move across it. Lee zoomed out of the map and soon figured out that only the places he's been to were filled out, the rest was grey.
After playing around with the map a little more he decided to click on Inventory. Another screen showed and in it there was another screen with him in a box. On the sides of this box were the different clothes he was wearing. On the bottom were two boxes with a hand icon in them and below that was the word Hotbar with more empty boxes under it, one of them had a pistol in it. To the right of the small inside screen were many empty boxes that had the word Inventory above them
With a hunch he decided to take the pistol from his lower back and tapped it on the screen with the intent to put the pistol one of the empty Inventory boxes. To his amazement it was swallowed by the screen and became an icon in one of the many empty boxes. He patted himself down and couldn't find the pistol. When he tapped on the pistol icon it popped into his hand. This is freaking amazing even if everything is settled, I could probably make to Mexico with this. Lee stored the pistol back to his lower back. He started trying to experiment with it.
Some items wouldn't go in like a lawn chair but others would like a shovel or tea pot. It seems to be limited to small and some medium sized objects. He also tried throwing an item into it but that didn't work. So not as good as I hoped but still useful.
Next he clicked on Skill tree. A new screen appeared with a chaotic web on it. When one line intersected another an icon would be there. Below the web were more icons lined up.
Eagle: 0/4
Meditate: 1/1
Call mount: 1/2
Leap of Faith. : 1/3
Assassinate: 1/1
Decoy Whistle: 1/2
Master of Arms: 1/1
Parry: 1/2
Dodge: 1/2
He clicked on each one and got a brief description on what each did. When he clicked on Eagle a screen popped up that read: Welcome to the Creed. Under it was an egg that was a yellowish white and had reddish brown spots scattered all over it. After pressing accept he found it went into his inventory with the numbers 168:00:00, as he stared at it it counted down. I guess it'll hatch in a week then. Lee started wondering if a horse would really appear if he whistled.I'll have to try it later, don't want to bring attention to myself until I'm in a safer place. Plus how would I even explain that to the girls.
He started looking at the skills of the skill tree. All of them sounded like a fantasy. The dead are walking, so I guess it isn't that crazy. He started wondering if he was in a dream again, but dreams don't last this long and never this real. Maybe he was in a coma but he dismissed that thought. I lost the insurance for that and I doubt my family would pay to keep a murder alive. Lee frowned and sighed.
Thinking back to the egg message, he wondered who the creed were and how he was related to them. The history nerd in him was going manic at the thoughts. Let's finish this tutorial first, when he looked at the skill tree again he found he had one unlocked. Revelation: Focus on reaching out your sense to the environment and have the area revealed to you, will reveal living creatures, loot, and secret passages within 10 yards of you (distance is upgradable) Lee wanting to test this out walked up to one of the walls of the house and reached out with his senses. Instantly he felt feed back and was able to see outlines of walkers through the wall as well as triangles that he guessed pointed to "loot". This is so freaking cool.
Lee walked away for the house and clicked on Quests. A screen appear and on it was a bar that read :My house now- Kill the walkers in Clementine's house and reclaim it, Rewards: 2 stat points, 1 skill point, 30 xp
Lee was about to click accept when he felt someone notice his presence and that they've spotted him. He turned around and saw Clementine wave at him. The sun is up now, guess she rises with it.
"Lee, is everything okay?" She whispered
"Yeah it's safe to come down Clementine" Lee replied. As she climbed down he pressed accept and got a new notification. To finish the tutorial use Obverse by focusing on someone or something. He pressed Ok and focused on Clementine as she walked up to him.
"Why did you poke the air?" Clementine looked at him with a funny look.
"There was a uh, gnat bugging me" Lee said as he read the screen in front of Clementine. This is so cool

AN: Lee figures how the system works and plans on reclaiming the house from the walkers.
Also I might have wrote Lee a little out of character but how else would you react to gaining gamer powers. Lee's dexterity is kinda low but he falls too much in the game to put it higher, also I've just noticed that all my chapters so far start with someone waking up lol
To explain the relationship: a 0 would be how you feel about a stranger you haven't meet, 1 is someone you've meet and don't give any thought too, 2 is someone you see in class or work but never meet really interact with, 3 is someone you won't mind being in your presence, 4 is someone you make small talk with when you're bored, 5 is some you would like to know better and interact with when convenient, 6 is someone you make plans with and consider a good friend, 7 is someone you can rely on and trust, 8 is someone you care deeply about and consider family, 9 is someone you would risk life and limb for, 10 is someone you would do practically anything for and them dying would be the end of you.
