Chapter Two
Agony
Ahsoka awoke several hours later, her head and lekku were throbbing, and her back was sore from hitting the cage so hard. "Ah, you're awake. Excellent, I've prepared a great many activities for you, each of which will be more painful than the last." Ahsoka's captor informed as they crouched in front of the cage Ahsoka was in.
"Who are you, and why do you have such a grudge against me?" Ahsoka asked as she glared at her captor. The person looked at Ahsoka, then they held their hands out and shot several bolts of force lighting towards Ahsoka. "AAAAAH!" Ahsoka screamed in pain as the lightning coursed through her, the shock was amplified by the metal cage she was in.
"That was but a mere taste of the agony you shall soon endure, your suffering will bring a joy to me that I haven't felt in months." The person replied as they watched Ahsoka writhe around in pain from the electrocution.
"You sick, twisted, kriff. Who the hell tortures someone without even asking any questions?" Ahsoka groaned as she stared at her captor.
"Someone who only wants to see you suffer." The person replied as they opened the cage with the force, then grabbed Ahsoka by her lekku and dragged her over to a wooden table with restraints on it.
"Ah!" Ahsoka yelled as the person literally threw her onto the table, then rolled her stomach up and locked her into the restraints. "Why are you doing this to me? What the hell did I ever do to you?! I don't even know who you are!" Ahsoka screamed as she glared at her captor.
"You may call me Vader, Darth Vader." The person replied as they stared down at Ahsoka. Ahsoka glared back at Vader. Vader was only about five feet tall or so, and was wearing an all black outfit with a floor length cape. There were some buttons in the center of Vader's chest, and upon closer inspection, Ahsoka noticed a lightsaber on Vader's hip. "As for what you did to me Ahsoka, you betrayed me, abandoned me. Now you will suffer for your actions." Vader said as they used the force to move a rag onto Ahsoka's face and hold it tightly against it. "Try not to pass out, the fun's only beginning." Vader said before reaching their left hand out and grabbing a bucket with the force, then Vader held it over Ahsoka's mouth and tilted it. A stream of water fell from the bucket and onto the rag. Ahsoka thrashed and choked as she tried to turn her head away from the stream of water that was slowly choking her. "Good Ahsoka, fight it, don't pass out yet." Vader said as they tilted the bucket a little more, causing a larger stream of water to flow onto the rag. Ahsoka gagged and gasped, as she tried to turn her head towards any direction that would allow her even a moment's relief from the drowning sensation she was currently experiencing. "That'll do." Vader said before stopping the flow of water and removing the rag. Ahsoka gasped and coughed up some water before sucking in as much oxygen as she could. "Now then, what other game should we play?" Vader asked as they stared at Ahsoka.
"L-let's play...the you tell me who you are game!" Ahsoka screamed as she glared at Vader. Vader stood there for a moment, the room was silent with the exception of Vader's steady and mechanical breathing.
"Very well, I'll humor you." Vader replied before removing their helmet. "Hello Ahsoka, it's been a while." Vader said as they grinned at Ahsoka. Ahsoka's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the true identity of Vader.
"Barriss." Ahsoka quietly said as she stared at Barriss. She was pail and badly burned from the explosion in the engine room aboard the ship she'd destroyed. She also had scars from bits of shrapnel that had hit her, and she even had remnants of frostbite spotted around her nose.
"You all left me to die on Hoth! You abandoned me, Ahsoka!" Barriss screamed with an enraged expression.
"You tried to kill my girlfriend, then you crashed our ship! The only reason we ended up on Hoth in the first place is because of what you did! How did you even survive, I was told that you were consumed by the explosion you caused?!" Ahsoka shouted back as she glared at Barriss. Barriss slowly put her helmet back on before speaking again.
"I was consumed by it, but against all odds, I survived. I got lucky, I was trapped inside the ship, but I was isolated from the frigid cold of that miserable planet. A couple of days later a team of scavengers came down to the planet and found me, they brought me back to their home world and fitted me with this new life support suit. I've been planning my revenge ever since." Barriss explained in a cold tone.
"You've been alive this whole time? Why didn't you just come home Barriss, despite everything you did, I still missed you. You were my best friend, Barriss!" Ahsoka cried.
"Barriss Offee is dead, Ahsoka! Now there is only Vader." Vader quietly said before pressing the cloth back over Ahsoka's mouth, then pouring more water onto it.
"Barriss! Ple-ack! Please stop! This... i-isn't you!" Ahsoka begged as she tried to move her face out of the way of the stream of water.
"Barriss is dead, and soon you will be dead as well." Vader replied before dumping the rest of the water onto the rag. Vader reveled in the sounds of Ahsoka choking and drowning at her hands. When the bucket was empty she tossed it aside and walked away. Ahsoka laid on the old and splintering wooden table, gasping for breath. Her lungs burned from a lack of oxygen, and the water was nearly as cold as the air around her. She could actually feel it starting to freeze onto her skin.
"Why is it getting so cold in here? Geonosis is a warm planet?" Ahsoka asked herself as she started to shiver.
"I hope you don't mind, I was getting a little warm, so I thought I'd turn the A.C on. Is ten degrees too cold for you?" Vader asked as she stepped back into the room.
"I thought you were my friend, why are you doing this to me?" Ahsoka asked as she began to shiver.
"Because I can." Vader replied before lifting another bucket of water. Ahsoka braced herself for another session of water boarding, but to her shock, Vader set the bucket down, then tore Ahsoka's clothes from her body. "Look at you, you've lost weight. You always were skinny Ahsoka, but this is thin even for you." Vader said with a chuckle.
"I was going through something and I lost a lot of weight. Now either put my clothes back on or get this shit over with, no matter how you touch me though, it'll never be the same as if I were to let you do it." Ahsoka replied as she glared at Vader.
"You misunderstand, I don't want to touch you, I'm over you now. No, I just want you to suffer as much as possible." Vader said before grabbing the bucket of water and dumping it on Ahsoka's bare skin. Ahsoka gasped from the sheer shock of the frigid water coming into contact with her nude body. Combined with the bellow freezing air, it wouldn't be long before it froze to her. "You know what one benefit of this clunky suit is? It has a built in heater, so no matter how low I turn the thermostat, I'll always be warm. You on the other hand, not so much." Vader said with a light chuckle before sitting down, watching with delight as Ahsoka violently shivered. "Hypothermia's a real bitch, ain't it? Though this is still nothing compared to what you made me suffer through. Do you have any idea how cold Hoth gets, even during the day? Despite being isolated enough from the cold to survive, I still suffered from it. I lost all of my fingers and toes to frost bite, and my nose was permanently damaged from the cold. Between the burns and wounds from the explosion and crash, and the frostbite to my digits and nose, this miserable outfit is all that's keeping me alive right now. Take a good look Ahsoka, take a nice long look at what you did!" Vader yelled before driving an elbow into Ahsoka's side. Ahsoka screamed in pain as one of her ribs broke from the force of the impact. "Have fun freezing, I'll be back in a few hours." Vader said before walking away.
"A-A-Ani-k-k-in. Help m-me." Ahsoka quietly said through her shivering. Ahsoka was left alone in her literally freezing room for nearly four hours before Vader came back.
"Ah, it's so cold in here. I had to go make some coffee and get a blanket. You didn't want anything, did you?" Vader asked as she removed her helmet and drank a little bit of her coffee.
"K-k-k-kriff y-y-you." Ahsoka replied through her chattering teeth. Vader stared at Ahsoka for a moment, then she dumped the hot coffee onto Ahsoka's exposed chest. "AAAAH!" Ahsoka screamed in pain as the scolding hot beverage washed over her abdomen, it was hot enough to leave first and second degree burns.
"You should watch your language, nobody likes a potty mouth." Vader said before putting her helmet back on. Ahsoka couldn't even respond, she was in too much pain and screaming too loudly to have even heard what Vader said. "Well, I think that's enough of a break. Let's get back to the fun." Vader said before said as she stood up and walked over to a large storage bin. "Let's see here, what kinds of toys do I have in here?" Vader asked herself as she dug through the bin. "Oh, this looks fun." Vader said as she pulled some kind of wrench out of the bin.
"You gonna...use that to tighten the loose screws in your head?" Ahsoka groaned as she started to shake off the pain of the burns.
"God, even after all this time, you're still as snippy as ever. Don't worry though, I'll teach you some manners." Vader replied as she raised the wrench, then swung it down on Ahsoka's left thigh.
"AAAH!" Ahsoka screamed in pain as the heavy metal tool slammed into her thigh.
"Oops, my bad. I was actually aiming for this." Vader said as she raised the wrench again, then smacked it down on Ahsoka's knee.
"AAAAAH!" Ahsoka cried in agony as her kneecap shattered from the impact.
"That was fun, wasn't it Ahsoka? No, you didn't like that toy? Let's try a different one then." Vader said before digging through the bin again. "Huh, I wonder what's in this thing?" Vader asked herself as she pulled a syringe out. Ahsoka didn't even notice, she was too busy trying not to cry from the pain. "You might feel a little pinch." Vader said before jabbing the needle into the center of Ahsoka's chest. Ahsoka stared at the syringe as Vader pushed the plunger down, at first she felt nothing, but then her chest suddenly started to burn like someone had set it on fire.
"Ah! AAAH! Barriss! What the hell?!" Ahsoka cried as she thrashed around in agony, whilst the burning sensation spread to every inch of her body.
"Yeah, I'm gonna be honest Ahsoka, I have no idea what that was. Oh well, hopefully it doesn't kill you, because that wouldn't be any fun if you just died right now." Vader answered as she watched Ahsoka scream and thrash in pain. Whatever was in the syringe was now pumping through Ahsoka's veins, not only did it feel like a fire inside of her body, but it spread like one too. Ahsoka began sweating profusely, which was really dangerous in the freezing environment she was in. Then she felt a huge wave of nausea and vomited a moment later. "Whatever it was seems to work nicely, however, I can't have you choking to death on your vomit, so let's get that out of there." Vader said as she used the force to remove the vomit from Ahsoka's mouth. Ahsoka gasped as she continued to thrash from the pain of the injection. The burning pain of the injection lasted for nearly ten minutes, but when it finally subsided Ahsoka stopped screaming and just wheezed with pain. "That's was fun, I might save that one for tomorrow. But for now, I think I'll go with a classic." Vader said to herself before pulling what looked like a lightsaber hilt out of the chest.
"Y-you're...just gonna kill me?" Ahsoka asked with a wheezy breath.
"Oh no, that wouldn't be any fun. I'm going to use an old toy I stole from some zygerrian slavers a while back. Tell me if you've seen one of these before." Vader instructed as she pushed a button on the hilt, making a long rope like energy beam shoot out of it.
"Y-you piece of shit, why don't you have some guts and...fight me like a warrior?" Ahsoka said through clenched teeth as she stared at the energy whip.
"Because that wouldn't be nearly as much fun as this." Vader replied as she raised the whip, then brought it down on Ahsoka, slashing from her left collar bone all the way down to her right hip. Ahsoka grit her teeth in pain, but she didn't scream. As much as the whip hurt, it was nothing compared to whatever drug she'd been given. Vader continued whipping Ahsoka for several minutes, humming to herself as she did so. "That should be enough for now, I'll leave you to bleed while I look for some more toys for us to play with." Vader said before walking away. Ahsoka took this small pause in her torture to try and catch her breath, every part of her body was screaming in pain, and she was terrified of what would come next. Worst of all was the fact that her restraints weren't just ordinary restraints, but force restraints, so she couldn't even use the force to call for help. All she could do was hope. "I'm baaaack! Oh Ahsoka, you won't believe what I found just lying around." Vader said as she held up an old droid blaster. "Doesn't it bring back memories, let's play a game with it. I'm going to close my eyes and randomly shoot at you, let's see how many shots I make. Ready?" Vader asked as she aimed the blaster at Ahsoka, then she just started pulling the trigger. A few bolts whizzed past Ahsoka's head, while two of them hit her in the stomach, and another one hit her left breast. "Ouch, boob shot. It's a good thing you're so flat." Vader chuckled.
"K-kriff...you." Ahsoka said as she clenched her teeth.
"I really don't like that language from you Ahsoka, such ugly words don't suite your beautiful face." Vader replied before picking a metal pipe up, then hitting Ahsoka in the side of her head with it.
"AAAAH!" Ahsoka shouted as the solid pipe struck her head. Her vision blurred and her montrals were ringing from the impact.
"Oof, even I felt that one. Maybe we'll try something else. Let's see, what else can we do for fun?" Vader asked as she looked around a little bit.
"Y-you can...drop dead." Ahsoka quietly said with a breath.
"Drop? That's a great idea! I've run out of fun things to do here, so I'm going to drop you over the side of the nearby canyon and see if you survive! Oh this is going to be so exciting!" Vader cheered before grabbing Ahsoka in a force choke, then undoing her restraints and dragging her outside. Ahsoka was temporarily blinded by the bright afternoon sun as she went from the relatively dark area Vader had been holding her in, to the bright exterior of the facility. "Aaaah, you smell that Ahsoka. Fresh air, I hope you like it, because it's going to be last bit of air you ever take in." Vader said as she continued holding Ahsoka in a force choke, bringing her to the edge of a terrifyingly long drop into a canyon. "Well Ahsoka, it was fun catching up, but I have hearts to break. I can't wait to see the looks on everyone's faces when I tell them that you're dead." Vader said as she held Ahsoka over the drop. "Any last words?" Vader asked as she stared at Ahsoka. Ahsoka just frantically grabbed at her throat, instinctively trying to remove the invisible force from her neck. "No, too choked up to even speak huh? Oh well, goodbye Ahsoka. I'll take real good care of Merida for you, I promise." Vader said with a smirk before releasing Ahsoka from the grip. Ahsoka plummeted towards the rocky ground below, only half conscious as the ground came closer and closer to her. Through sheer instinct she slowed her descent with the force, hitting the ground hard, but not hard enough to break any of her bones.
"Ah!" Ahsoka cried in pain as she fell onto her back, staring up at the sun. Ahsoka took a moment to compose herself, then she rolled onto her stomach with a great deal of effort. "G-get...up." Ahsoka said to herself as she tried to stand, collapsing back onto the ground. "Come on...Ahsoka. You have...to move." Ahsoka said to herself before taking a breath, then she slowly tried again to stand, carefully getting onto a knee. She took a breath before continuing her attempt to fully stand, and despite the pain and weakness she felt, Ahsoka got herself to her feet. "Now...move." Ahsoka said to herself as she took a step forward, followed by another, then another. Ahsoka slowly walked through the canyon, leaning against the walls for support as she did so. "I have...to keep going." Ahsoka said to herself as she continued dragging herself forward. She had no idea where she was going, but she knew one thing, anywhere had to be better than where she'd just been.
