Chapter 3: Happy Birthday, Skippy:
Chuck Cluck's Story:
The High Sheriff then hears some kids singing happy birthday to a young Skippy Lightfoot. He then barges in.
High Sheriff: ... to you!
"Now, where's the birthday boy?" says the High Sheriff
"Here Sir," says Skippy.
"Well, what's that you have there," asks the High Sheriff.
"It's a gold coin I got for my birthday," says Skippy.
"Isn't that nice," asks the High Sheriff, "and King Mordred wishes you a happy birthday too!" He then takes it.
"Hey," says Skippy.
"Arms for the poor," says this blind man.
"Allow me," says the High Sheriff. He pretends to donate, but he's really taking it. "I'll give your regards to King Mordred!" The High Sheriff then leaves.
"I'm so sorry about that," says Skippy's Mom.
"It's alright," says the blind man, "did I hear there was a birthday?"
"It's my birthday, Sir," says Skippy.
"Well then..." The blind man then reveals himself to be Rob o' the Hedge. "Happy Birthday!"
"It's Rob o' the Hedge," says Skippy.
All the kids were excited. "I may not be as fast as Sonic, but I'm still quick," says Rob, "now, let's see... I know!" He then gives Skippy his own bow and hat.
"Wow, now I can be just like you," says Skippy.
"A handsome lad," says Rob, "well, I'm off!" Rob then leaves.
. . .
Rob also takes time to give some money to Friar Buck and the blacksmith. "I hope you will get the kingdom that's rightfully yours back," says Friar Buck.
"Sadly, that's difficult as long as Robotnik rules all of Mobius," says Rob, "but Sonic's got him! I can handle Mordred!" Rob then leaves.
