The Owl House
The Owl Lady suddenly awoke from her nest.
She looked around, noticing through her window that the boiling rain hadn't stopped. Any other thoughts vanished at the horrible headache she felt. " Mama needs her apple blood. "
She got up from her nest and headed out to her door. When opening it she heard distant voices downstairs, probably Luz and King. Now that she thought of it, did she do anything with Luz? Something about- " Ooooh, thinking later, drink now. " It didn't matter, her headache came first.
She took the stairs and expected to see the two children beaming with energy playing together in the living room. Oh how wrong she was.
" And finally, the Gorsongoos spits acid from its ears. " The teacher, King, said with a board with pictures on it.
" Why? " Ask the student, Luz, while taking notes sitting on the sofa.
" Long ago the Fidorms, a tiny race of bug demons, drank the brain juice of the Gorsongoos as it was the most delectable among most other demons. As such they evolved and obtained the acid. Some still die from the Fidorms but that's pretty rare nowadays while the Fidorms drink mostly from corpses or unguarded beasts. " Answered the assistant, Titan Luz, sitting beside Luz.
" Eww. " Retorted the human. " That's cool, tell me more! "
" Thank you for your output, my dear assistant. "
" I only supported your lecture, great monarch. "
Titan's playful tone with King made their student giggle.
" What in the Titan's name are you doing here?! " Finally, the owner of the house made herself known.
" Eda! "
Both children jumped at her to hug her very tightly. Unsure of the reason behind their action, Eda just patted them in confusion, remembering Luz telling her what a hug was. Before she could ask any question she was assailed by the kids.
" So much happened! "
" I'm sorry I forced you to show me magic! "
" Hooty crashed! "
" You got big! "
" It was wild! Wilder than wild witches! "
" Woh woh woh, both of you calm down. A, I have no idea what you're talking about. B, I'm asking what she is doing here. " That last part was said with her finger pointing at the tallest demon in the room with what she recognized to be the demon's Palisman. Said demon threw a box of apple blood at her. She easily caught it and chugged it all in 3 seconds, when facing the False Titan she wanted to be fully aware and apple blood was exactly what she needed.
" This is a long story to tell. " Titan got up and walked beside the board then turned to face the couch and gestured for Eda to sit. " How about you sit down while I tell you all about it? The kids can tell you a few things in case I got something wrong. "
The kids rushed to the couch and waited for Eda. Not having anything else to do, the Owl Lady sat down between the young human and the small demon. The tiny purple Palisman flew and landed on Luz's lap who stroked it.
With a twirl of a finger, Titan cast an illusionary screen on the board beside her. It was the False Titan walking in the boiling rain, the drops seemed to transform into dark purple sparks before reaching. Just from that Eda was already doubting the authenticity of the scene. " As you know I told you I was going to come by so I decided to do it today. "
Flashback, hours earlier
Unbothered by the rain, since it didn't touch her in the first place, the Titan of the Light walked the path to the Owl House. But something was amiss. Still kilometers away from the house Titan fastened her pace and started running as her highly perceptive senses picked up the sound of claws ripping through wood, the cries of help from Hooty, glass breaking, the howls of a certain beast she was very familiar with, and King and Luz talking about Snagglebacks.
Familiar?
" You're familiar with that thing? "
" Shush! "
The Owl Lady grumbled as she was shushed by her own apprentice and her roommate.
Soon her destination came into view, covered by a yellow barrier to protect the house from the current weather, but the house itself did not look good. Hooty was detached from the door frame with claw marks on him, and the windows on the middle and top floor were smashed.
Picking sounds from the top floor, Titan Luz did not stop running. One spell circle and the barrier opened, with a single leap she passed through the broken eye-shaped window and landed in Eda's room, letting the barrier close itself. Still running she heard Luz and King coming up the stairs on the right and snarls on the left, so when she slammed the doors open she turned left. She went through the hallway as she made an ice pole, already sensing the beast ready to attack at the next turn. She slammed the bottom of her pole on the ground, and with two hands used the momentum to rotate and double-kick the beast right in the face.
The beast was thrown back, it crashed through a door and into a closet. While it lay on the ground in pain, Titan recognized the beast. Although it was clearly Eda, Titan saw the souls inside and felt that the one in command was as she suspected. The beast stood back up and snarled at its opponent who evaporated the ice with a thought.
" Hello, Owl Beast. "
The Owl Beast jumped at her but Titan put her arm up to take the blow. The Owl Beast had its mouth on her forearm and its claws on her shoulder but no matter the strength it put into its muscles the claws and fangs couldn't cut the fur nor pierce the skin of its target. Titan saw the opportunity and breathed in ready to unleash a sonic Weh.
The beast acknowledged that this enemy was too tough to face head-on. It let go of the forearm and pushed itself to the side. Titan used her magic at the last second and the small Weh passed through nothing. The Owl Beast ran away through the hallway. Titan pursued it and when she turned she saw the beast headed for King who got out of the room. It was getting closer to the small demon but Titan was faster in movement and magic.
With one of her toes, she made a spell circle. The magic traveled the floor and reached King, modifying the area beneath him into a square wooden plank.
The Owl Beast ran towards King who was frozen in fear and leaped at him. At that moment Titan brought her foot down on her spell circle and the wooden square launched him like a lever, over the Owl Beast and into her arms. The Owl Beast turned around, annoyed that her prey escaped and was at the hands of a strong opponent. It turned back and ran for the stairs.
Titan ran but not after the Owl Beast, she stopped before Eda's room. " HAAA! " Surprising a certain human in the process. " Miss Titan?! "
The tall demon took one knee, put down King beside Luz, and grabbed each of their shoulders. " Are you two okay? "
" We're fine. What are you doing here? "
" I was coming to visit when I heard crashing sounds. I ran here, jumped to the window, and just saved King from getting eaten. "
" Thanks by the way. "
While the meeting was nice, Luz reminded herself of their current situation. " Miss Titan it's horrible- "
" You can stop calling me Miss, kid. Also, no it's not the Snaggleback and no Eda didn't get eaten. "
" Okay, I have to ask, can you read my mind? How do you always know what I'm going to say or think? "
" Well first, I can read you like an oracle would read the lines on my bony palm. Second, this time I just heard you and King, I have great senses. "
" Oh. "
" If it's not the Snaggleback, then what is it? What happened to Eda? " King was very worried about her, Luz mirrored his expression and showed how worried she also was for her teacher.
Titan sighed, hoping they would take it well. " I don't know when or how, but one day Eda got cursed. I know that she uses something to keep the curse at bay but if she doesn't then she turns into the Owl Beast, the creature that is currently roaming around the house. It's why she's called the Owl Lady. "
Both children didn't know what to say. They were glad that Eda was safe but they also didn't know how they could help her at all.
" Listen, I am gonna go take care of the Owl Beast, in the meantime I want you guys to search the house looking for anything that might help. From what I know Eda probably used an elixir for her curse, potions are mostly used to counter anything physically related. When you're ready, wait for my signal. Got it? "
They both nodded, realizing what she was talking about, remembering the potion they used and just hoping that there was another one and that it was probably their fault that Eda turned into this.
Titan stood up and was about to exit the room when Luz grabbed her fur coat. The human still had worries. " Are you going to be okay? "
Titan Luz offered a reassuring smile to her biggest fan. " Don't worry, I won't fight it, I don't want to hurt it or Eda, I'll try to talk first. Plus, I'm stronger than I look. " She smirked at the last part before running out.
In one jump she skipped all the steps and landed at the bottom of the stairs. She walked to the living room, appearing distracted to lure the Owl Beast to attack. It paid off, mostly. The Owl Beast flapped its wings to throw objects at her, attempting to blind her with the wind. It didn't work. Some of the objects hit her but didn't affect her at all. Though the wind didn't bother her she acted as if it did, trying to bait the beast.
The Owl Beast ran around and repeated her previous action, she did so again and again. Titan acted as if she was disturbed and distracted. The beast saw its chance and went on the ceiling, it positioned itself behind Titan Luz and dived in. Titan spun around, opened her arms, and grabbed the Owl Beast. With her arms around keeping the wings in, the beast could not escape.
Finally, Titan Luz readied her Weh, hoping that the theory she, Eda, and King came up with long ago in her timeline was right.
" Weh! "
The orange yellow white arcs passed around the Owl Beast's head, slightly agitating its feathers and hair like a breeze.
It stopped struggling and went quiet.
Titan did it again but quieter. " Weh. " The magic roar passed around it again.
Titan slowly let down the Owl Beast that looked at her confused but calm. It sniffed her a bit and still looked confused.
Titan held her hand before it and let her raw glyph magic out, floating and surrounding her whole hand.
Immediately the Owl Beast jumped at her. Titan Luz fell on her back expecting an attack, instead, she saw gray and felt a weight around her whole upper body.
…
It worked!
" Stringbean, could you go get the kids, please? "
The shape-shifting serpent flew out of her hair and upstairs. She waited for a bit and it wasn't long before her super hearing picked up Luz's voice. " Aww, it's so cute! " Soon the sound of footsteps was heard.
" Oh no, she got squashed! "
" Mmphmhphmhph! "
From outside her perspective, it looked like the Owl Beast was resting on her and because of its size only her legs and arms were visible, the rest was hidden by feathers.
" Was that you Miss Titan? "
Titan got up on her butt and moved the Owl Beast on her legs. The beast was still tall so from their eyes only the top of the hat with its ball of light and the horns were visible. But now she could speak without being muffled by feathers.
" I thought I told you to stop calling me miss. By the way, my Palisman is a she. "
Luz exhaled in relief.
" Did you tame the Owl Beast? Can we order it around and bring disaster to our enemies? " King asked while advancing. The Owl Beast growled at him, making him retreat behind Luz in panic.
Stringbean hissed at them for their attention, she flew around while holding the elixir, Luz and King understood that she wanted them to follow her. They circled the Owl Beast and finally, they saw the ever-smiling Titan Luz.
Curiosity overflowing Luz had to ask. " Okay, how did you do it? "
" I already told you, I just talked with it. "
" What do you mean? "
" Well, I'm a Titan. Remember when I spoke about demons being an indirect creation of the Titan? "
The human nodded, remembering the conversation they had and the knowledge that nobody else knew she was freely given to.
" A direct creation would mean that a Titan personally created the demon, from its magic to its shape to its brain. The Owl Beast is one of them, I just don't know who was the Titan who created it. "
Along the way, Luz sat down to listen. She liked to ask questions to Titan Luz, she seemed knowledgeable and had a passion when she talked about the Demon Realm. " Does that mean that the demons of the Boiling Isles are a direct creation or at least their ancestors? "
" The Titan of the Boiling Isles didn't create the demons living on him, he died and it is natural for a Titan to create life even in death. I'm sure Eda already told you that they were born from its flesh, but it doesn't mean that he had a hand in that. In their quantities? Maybe. In their appearance? Unlikely. "
King also joined in on the conversation. " What about the Owl Beast? Why is it a curse if it's a direct creation? " As an expert on demons, his interest peaked.
Titan looked at the Owl Beast and stroked its feathers. " The Owl Beast was captured by someone, someone powerful, someone that it feared so much it was traumatized. That being transformed the Owl Beast into a curse. Hence why it attacks everything around it, being stuck into an object, forced into a vessel. Which is why it is only comfortable with me, it is a beast from when the Titans still stood on their feet and took care of the Demon Realm, when all demons were loved and protected by their creator. "
End of Flashback
The illusionary screen poofed out.
" After that I secretly made the Owl Beast drink the elixir, put you back in your nest, fixed everything, and helped Luz discover a way to do magic, then with King I gave a few lessons about demonology to Luz. Any questions? "
Luz was too quick for the others as she raised her hand first followed by King. " Me, me, me! "
" King? "
" What was that Weh thing? Are you trying to imitate me? Can I do that? "
" That's just something that I used to talk to other demons, yes I am imitating you, and no you can't do that. " At least not yet. " Luz? "
" Can I know more about Titans, if you don't mind? King knows a lot about demons but you're the only one who knows anything about Titans. "
Titan looked at the human adorably. " Of course, anything for my favorite fan. "
Luz just vibrated at the compliment, everybody wondered if she would take off like a firework. " So, how do Titans become islands in the first place? "
" Titans actually have four stages of life. "
With a spell circle, an illusion of an egg appeared on her hand, she then dropped it down beside her and made it shrunk to the size of a grain of sand. " First, they are born in an egg and it's not before a millennium has passed that they come out. " They heard the sound of the egg cracking and opening but it was difficult for them to see what the baby looked like.
" Second, they start as little babies the size of a regular witch's baby and they start with fur around the body and will grow just like a witch or a human for the next century. " For that part, she just gestured to herself. " Tails and wings will grow along the way. " She made an illusionary pair of bony wings appear on her back. Luz almost lost her breath at the cool sight. Titan canceled the fake wings and continued. " Around a certain size, their bodies start to converse into materials, organic becomes inorganic leaving the heart as the only part made of muscle tissue. " The tiny illusion at her feet grew the size of a matchstick, it did look like a statue made of rocks.
" Third, when their bodies have completely turned into landmass they will continue to grow as a walking mountain, " The small illusion grew rapidly until it was the same size and scale as Titan Luz. " To a walking island for the next millions of years to come. " The illusion looked exactly like the Titan of the Boiling Isles but less dead, everything was stone, with few patches of red grass here and there, and it had a pair of stone wings with black vines along with tusks. Eda doubted all this, but she had to admit that if it was true then it was an incredible cycle of life.
" Fourth and last, they die and their corpses slowly decompose, creating life in exchange for its blood and flesh. " The illusionary Titan fell down while reaching one hand to them. The stone slowly collapsed, plant life grew all over it and while it was too small to precisely detail, they could see small demons coming out of the earth in various shapes and forms. " While dead the Titans watch the universe from the world of the dead until their hearts, still beating in their corpses, stop. "
With a snap, the illusion was over.
" Questions? " All three had their hands up. " King? "
" Where does the egg come from? "
Eda and Luz were sweating like crazy. They hoped that Titan wasn't going to talk about the birds and the bees. " Parthenogenesis my friend, a Titan poops out an egg whenever they want around reaching their full size and after. " Eda and Luz sighed in relief.
" Gross. A thousand years to be born? How lazy. "
" Ain't that the truth, Luz? "
" Oh right. When do Titans get their magic? "
" 10 years in the second stage our magic starts appearing along with other abilities and when fully developed our blood starts to become pure magic. "
" Cool. "
" Cool indeed. Eda? "
" What do you mean by 'watches from the world of the dead'? "
Titan dropped her smile and looked away for a bit, contemplating something. She turned back to them with eyes full of uncertainty. " When a Titan's physical body dies and the heart is intact their soul will go where the soul of the dead goes before passing on, a plane of existence between many worlds and dimensions called the In Between. With the heart as the anchor that keeps them from passing on they are capable of watching the world, only able to interfere in a small reach and scale until their magic runs out then they pass on. "
" Why the look if you don't mind me asking? "
" Oh, I don't know. It's not like I just gave you a mind-breaking piece of information about what comes after death. "
" Oh… "
" Not to mention the fact that the being you refer to as a god is watching almost everything you do. "
"... Oh… "
" Yep. "
" …Sh- "
" Eda! There are kids here. " Luz had her hands on her ears, desperately trying to not catch a swear. King just looked confused.
" Sorry. "
" It's okay. Enough about me, how about Luz tells you how she found a way for her to use magic? Thanks to you no less. "
" Really? " She did mention that before but Eda was too preoccupied to process that information.
Luz turned to her with joy in her eyes. " Yes! Okay, after Miss- I mean Titan put you in your nest, I asked her if she knew a way for me to do magic like you. I showed her the video and she just said that the answer is in it. "
" That doesn't make any sense. "
" That's what I said! So I replayed the video a couple of times and then I decided to rewatch it in slow motion to see if there's anything I didn't notice, and I did notice something. Look! " Luz took out her phone and replayed the short video in slow motion but Eda didn't notice anything in particular. Luz replayed it and paused at a certain moment. There was this strange symbol but the Owl Lady couldn't determine what it looked like. Luz on the other hand put a piece of paper on the screen and drew the symbol, she tapped it and the paper crumpled into a small ball of light between the human's hand.
" Wow. " It wasn't much compared to her light spell, but something about it was just more beautiful. " What is that? "
" Apparently it's the magic of the Isles but Titan told me one piece of advice: to look around me, and nothing else. "
" And why is that? " She suspiciously asked their visitor.
" Because it isn't my place to tell. If Luz can figure out more of this magic, called glyph magic, then I will tell her a few things about it. After all, what's the point of figuring out everything without feeling the passion you put into research and the joy you feel when you discover something new? I'm sure you get that, Owl Lady. "
She had a point. It was nice to have the teachers guide her in her youth but she much preferred doing magic on her own, the feeling of her effort leading to something was worth it.
" Plus, you're the teacher here, while you have no idea what glyph magic is and I wouldn't mind teaching Luz about it once she figured it out, she still needs basic magical lessons and I would prefer if you stayed her main and first teacher. You're the one who made that glyph appear with your spell circle. "
" You're dang right I did. "
" Don't worry Eda, you will always be my favorite teacher. "
" Thanks, kid, which reminds me. What happened to my other elixir that I was looking for when I was transforming? "
For the next few minutes, Titan watched King and Luz explain their mistakes and apologies and Eda also apologized for not sharing her condition and the dangers and safety measures it entailed. All was finally well. King finally asked Titan more about the Owl Beast so that he could add it to his Demon Book and she was happy to share some of her knowledge, but not all of it.
Eda picked up on that, for most of the time she intensely stared at her, trying to get something from the False Titan. Titan may be oblivious to any romantic attraction for her, but being the enemy N°1 of the Boiling Isles she could always detect any attention on her.
" Alright kids, how about you go upstairs for a bit, I need to share notes with Eda about breaking the law and leave. "
" Gladly, come Luz, before I fall asleep listening to some dumb tax evasion or something. " King jumped out of the sofa and Luz followed but not before smiling and waving to Titan Luz who waved and smiled back, Stringbean flew after the kids. As the sound of the creaking wooden stairs and the weird noises of Luz petting the Palisman became more distant, Titan summoned a chair facing Eda and sat down with her elbows on her knees. With one spell circle, a small table and two boxes of apple blood appeared between the two.
She dropped her smile and asked in all seriousness. " What is it? "
Seeing someone who struck more as an eccentric and playful demon becoming so focused and so calm, Eda was slightly dumbfounded. The demon before her now exuded an aura of wisdom and power, reminding her of the few old wild witches she met in her criminal life. But it didn't stop her from voicing her thoughts.
" You're pretty knowledgeable about the Owl Beast. "
" I am, though there are some things I don't know. "
" Like which Titan created it? "
" Or a few parts of its history as a species. But this isn't about what I don't know, right? "
" … Do you know a way to get rid of the curse? "
The Titan of the Light didn't speak for a few seconds, her yellow eyes not leaving the Owl Lady's and her expression remaining the same. " Yes. "
Eda bent down and mirrored Titan's position. " You're not buying me false hope, are you? "
" You asked if I knew a way, not if it was possible. "
" Of course. " Eda was not surprised by another disappointment. " What is this impossible cure anyway? " Eda took a box and drank.

Apple blood was spit in the air. The liquid was surrounded by dark purple magic and was put back in the box through the straw while Eda was coughing like crazy. " That's- *cough cough* not funny. "
Titan stood her back straight and crossed her arms. " Any mature Titan could do that, they can create and modify life, what makes you think I'm joking? "
" One, I still don't believe you're a Titan. Two, if you can do it, why say it's impossible? "
" Because I'm not a mature Titan, I can do many things to the Demon Realm, but I don't know a single thing about life and the soul. "
" The soul? "
" The Owl Beast is tied to your soul, if I'm not careful your soul could be affected in ways I can't imagine. It could change the witch you were, are, and could be. Your body, personality, memories, reflexes and habits, lifespan, magic, you might not even go to the In Between when you die. "
" You're kidding, right? "
Titan put a hand on Eda's shoulder and looked at her with concern, a bit strange for a person she just met. " Listen, if I do this the chances of you ending up forgetting the name of a demon species, changing your laziness into shyness, and losing your habit of drinking apple blood in the morning are equal to forgetting everything but your name, changing all of who you are into a different witch blinded by greed and power ready to follow Belos and having only one day left to live. And those consequences are just what I can think with my limited expertise. "
" Holy Titan. " Eda fell back on the sofa, eyes on the ceiling, exasperated. All the other paths she tried were just loose ends, and now an actual chance to cure her was there but the risks were so high it was not an option.
" I'm sorry. "
" It's fine, thanks for being honest. " She knew that Titan was being sincere. What was the point of not helping her if she could not benefit from it?
They sat in silence, drinking apple blood. One was just tired, being used to trying something and ending up with nothing. The other was waiting for the right moment to share what she knew. Was that moment today or a distant future?
The False Titan chose today.
" Can I give you a piece of advice? "
" Sure. "
" When you tried Beast Magic did you try to tame the Owl Beast? "
" Yes, but nothing worked even when I entered my mindscape, magic had no effect except the elixir. "
" How about trying to befriend it? "
Eda looked back to the one who just gave her the most ridiculous idea she had ever heard. " Okay, now I know you're joking. "
" Think about it, you might hate the Owl Beast but that's because you view it as a curse, a monster inside of you instead of what it really is. "
" And what is it, oh mighty Titan? "
" A prisoner. "
That's unexpected. Eda never thought she would say that.
" I told you its origin. Put yourself in its place. You get captured by a powerful being and transformed into a piece of paper. You stay like this unable to know what's happening outside, when you'll get out, or even if you can get out for thousands of years. Suddenly you are stuck in a vessel, chained deep in their soul and whenever you take control you are surrounded by an environment that wasn't there all those years ago with demons wielding magic that want to capture or kill you, still traumatized by the encounter with that powerful being, always on guard and having rare times to finally taste food or appreciate the wind in your feathers, just hoping to feel what you haven't felt ages ago. "
" … "
" I'm not forcing you into anything. I'm just saying that it's as much of a victim as you are and it deserves a chance. "
" And if you're wrong, if it doesn't work? "
" It takes time and effort to trust and to heal, it will work, you just need to be patient and persevere. "
" How can you be so certain? "
" I'm a Titan. " She was certain because in her timeline while the Owl Beast was still wary of the Collector, it wasn't as violent as before. Eda didn't need to make deals to transform after Belos' defeat. Whenever the Owl Beast wanted something Eda would just let it out, King and herself would even play and enjoy flying with it.
" Hard to trust you, when you feel so fake. " Eda felt this feeling of talking to a person wearing a mask, an act meant to hide a part of themselves.
" So you noticed. I may wear the mask of the cool and wise and good rebel to try to feel some form of happiness, but it doesn't change the fact that I want to help you. "
" …Alright, I'll give it some thought. "
" Thank you. "
Titan took her apple blood and raised it with a smile and tired eyes. " To us wild witches and our pain-in-the-butt problems. "
Eda laughed at that. She wanted to ask what her problems were but for all that advice she guessed Titan must be having or had a bunch of them if she used that smiling facade all the time. She took her drink and raised it. " To wild witches. "
They touched juice boxes and chugged it all down.
" Well, this has been educational but I need to leave for the human realm, I'll go say bye to the kids. " She dropped her apple blood and got up.
" Need my portal door? "
" Na, I need to make one stop so I'll just fly there. "
" Ha, good one. "
She went upstairs and opened Luz's bedroom door. It was obvious by the number of lights floating around that the girl still had her new magic in her mind. King was just writing on his Demon Book, probably editing and adding all the new things Titan told him. Stringbean was beside Luz, nuzzling the human gently who stroked her back.
" Stringbean. " The serpent saw her owner and carver and flew into her hair. " Luz? "
" Yes? "
" I need to go to the Earth and I won't be back for more than a week. Want anything? "
Luz looked up for a minute in thought. " I don't want to be mean to demon culinary art but maybe some human food without any lactose would be great if it's okay with you. " Luz didn't want to overstep her boundaries with Titan, she was just so kind to her and so caring.
" Aww that's cute, you're worried about being a bother, well you're not. I can travel around the Earth easily, can keep food from getting spoiled with magic and my pockets are full of demon and human currency. I'm filthy rich and I'm paying, kid. I'll ask again, what do you want? "
… Dang. " Sushi, and chicken, and Coca Cola, oh oh oh, and also there's a place called Gravesfield Circle they make great vegetable curry salads! " It was basic but hey, in another realm you tend to miss the smallest of things.
" Noted. Hey, how about I give you a new phone, a demon realm-proof phone because that one is not gonna last for long. "

" Nope, but I can definitely get a new one and enchant it. "
" Cool. " Titan was amazing. " Thank you, for doing all of this. "

She did a spell circle around the surface of her forearm and with one claw she softly punctured her skin underneath the fur for just a millimeter. When she pulled out her claw blue blood flew out and as she pointed her finger it followed and went inside the tub. She sealed the flask and flew it to Eda's lap. " Consider this a gift for this newfound friendship. You can use it however you like, maybe add it to the Titan's Blood in your portal key, the eye is the compartment. Luz was alone in the living room, lying on the couch drawing as King was still lazily asleep and Eda was making potions. She heard a notification on her phone on the table but ignored it.

Luz sprang forth and ultimately crashed on the floor but quickly got up and unlocked her phone. There was a message from an unknown number, it said 'go out and look up'. Now that was scary, the portal wasn't opened, there was no human cellphone in the demon realm, and even if there was how could, whoever this was, know her number? But of course, being Luz she did not try to make a rational decision at all so she went outside. She worriedly looked up, thinking something was gonna be there to eat her or sell her strange snake chicken demon food, honestly being in the demon realm the latter was the most probable.
But she saw nothing, the vast red sky was clear. Except maybe for a purple star shining brightly. The star was getting bigger and Luz's curiosity outweighed her fear so instead of getting Eda she stayed.
The star grew even bigger and Luz could hear the sound of something fast coming. The star took a curve leaving a trail behind as it descended towards the sea, it turned again towards the Owl House and-

There she was, the Titan of the Light, feet standing on her staff, a phone, a human phone in her hand. She typed once on her screen and the next second Luz got another message from the same unknown number saying 'Tadaaa'.
As Titan landed on the ground with Stringbean taking the phone in her hair, she chuckled at the sight before her. " Close your mouth, you don't want to catch some worm flies. "
But Luz didn't hear anything. That's right, the girl was so amazed her mouth was wide open, it was probably stretching beyond its limit, the sparkling eyes were normal at this point. Titan made a spell circle and closed the human's lips, she passed Luz and went inside going for the kitchen. Finally, Luz woke up and was brought back to the weird fantasy land, also called the Boiling Isles. She ran back in just in time to see Titan put in the fridge many human foods she recognized in plastic containers.
Titan closed the fridge and turned to Luz. " There should be enough for a while as long as you don't eat everything in a row. You got stuff from Japan, France, Mexico, India, Germany. There should be some demon food that you can eat safely. "
" Wait wait, waitwaitwaitwaitwait. You bought food from all over the human realm? "
" Yep. I was once again reminded how big Earth is compared to the demon realm, took half a day to get everything. "
