Title: Charlie's Little Secret

Third year Charlie Weasley made his way back up to his dormitory once everyone else went down to the Great Hall for breakfast before the day's classes began. Closing the door, he cast a quick Locking Charm before going to his bed and pulling out a small shoebox that he had placed underneath.

"I'm here, little guy," Charlie spoke softly as he took the lid off the shoebox to reveal a baby Antipodean Opaleye dragon.

The dragon was beautiful, thought Charlie, but he could hardly expect anything else from an Antipodean Opaleye. These dragons were considered to be one of the most beautiful species due to its blue pearly scales that lined its back and glittering multi coloured eyes.

Charlie gently placed his hand in the box and scooped the small dragon up. The Opaleye was not particularly aggressive, only attacking when feeling threatened. Charlie smiled as the dragon nestled into his hand, chuckling to himself as the dragon wrapped its mouth around his thumb and started to suck.

"I know, mate, you're hungry," explained Charlie, "but I needed to wait until everyone left for breakfast." He placed the dragon back in the box and said, "We can't have anyone finding you." Charlie pulled up one of the loose floorboards next to his bed and took out a large baby bottle, a bottle of brandy, chicken blood, and a small vial of Pepper Up Potion with an eye dropper.

Measuring out equal parts brandy and chicken blood, Charlie placed it in the baby bottle along with a couple of drops of Pepper Up Potions to help with a small cold that the dragon seemed to have. Screwing the cap on, Charlie shook the bottle, making sure that the brandy and chicken blood mixed together since the chicken blood was thicker than the brandy.

Once everything was mixed thoroughly, Charlie tipped the bottle into the box with the Opaleye. quickly grabbed the nipple, its tongue latching onto it as he greedily drank down the liquid. Charlie smiled to himself as he watched the Opaleye knead the freshly cut grass he had placed in the box as a nest, much like a kitten would have. The Opaleye's tail also wagged slightly as it drank and if Charlie listened closely enough he could hear small purrs coming from the dragon's snout in between the gulps.

"You're a hungry boy this morning, aren't you?" Charlie commented as he kept the bottle steady for the dragon. "That's alright, you can have as much as you want," Charlie said as he continued to watch as the dragon drank from the bottle. Within twenty minutes the Opaleye sucked down the last few drops of brandy and chicken blood.

Charlie removed the bottle as the Opaleye let out a small, fiery burp before turning around in circles several times to settle down and go back to sleep with a full stomach.

"That's right, little one, you go back to sleep," Charlie whispered, as he placed the lid back on the shoebox and gently placed the box back under his bed.

Charlie placed all the items he took out back under the floorboards, making sure the floorboard was placed back properly before he went down for his own breakfast.
