After the ladies had their breakfast, Margaret offered to take the dishes back to the kitchen, as Julia checked on William, but still had no change. Julia had gotten up from the chair, and checked over her medical supplies.
As she was checking, she heard a groaning noise and turned, his body was thrashing up and down, as his IV fell to the ground and broke.
"William?!" She screamed as she ran to his body, "William!" as she grabbed his neck, so he wouldn't suffocate, when she heard Margaret behind her.
"What's wrong?" Margaret said as she grabbed his legs
"He's having a seizure" she said trying not to cry
As his body settled down, she looked at him, his eyes were rolled back, "William?" and touched his chest, "NO, PLEASE DON'T BE DEAD!" she thought to herself , ss she checked his pulse and felt one
"Is he?"
"He's alive"
Margaret blew out in relief, "I'll get a new IV for him"
"Thank you, Margaret" she said as she grabbed a cloth and wiped the excess foam off his mouth, "don't you ever again scare me like that, William Murdoch!"
Once a new IV was hooked up, Julia sat in the chair looking at him, when Margaret and Thomas came into the room, "any change? "Margaret asked as she touched her shoulder, "his eyes hasn't moved since the seizure"
"Oh, Julia" as Margaret gave her a hug
Brackenreid stared at him, biting his lip, holding in a cry, when George, Henry and Watts came in, to inform they made an arrest, Julia put her face in her hands, and thought to herself, "good, rest and hang the bastard that did this to my husband"
After everyone left, Julia decided to read the book, he got her for Christmas. She read him 3 chapters, before breaking down in a cry.
As she wiped her tears away, she was considering praying, which she hasn't done since she found out she was expecting Susannah.
She bowed her head, when she heard, "Julia" and looked straight at him. She got up from the chair, "William?"
But nothing after, "yes, William. I'm here. Say my name."
Still nothing, as she caressed his cheek, "please, open your eyes. Say anything…but please not goodbye" as she laid down on his chest, and sobbed, when Margaret and Thomas walked in, "bloody hell"
"Thomas"
Julia saw them, "he's still alive, but he said my name."
"That's a good sign, it means he knows you're here with him" Margaret said as comforted her
