Tittle: The Stolen Donut

Lily Potter raced down the stairs, jumping the last couple of steps to the main floor before running through the living room into the kitchen where her older brother, James, was sitting. His feet were up on the kitchen table as he leaned back in his chair, enjoying a donut that their father had just brought home after a hard day of work.

Every Friday, as a treat, their father would bring home a box of donuts from a new shop that just opened up six months ago in Hogsmeade, ExSPRINKLiarmus. The shop had the most delicious donuts with the coolest names. Exploding Cauldron, a round donut with a small plastic cauldron in the middle which would fire out green sprinkles over the black iced donut. The Niffler Collection, which was a bunch of gold donut holes meant to symbolize shiny coins; and The Sorting Hat which was a donut that was filled with either a red, blue, green or yellow jelly so when you bite into it, it would tell you your house. Lily's favorite was the Gryffindor Seeker, which was a cruller with a red glaze and gold sprinkles with a small magical snitch that flew around the twist of the cruller.

Not paying her brother any attention, she quickly made her way around the table to the box and flipped the lid open, only to see that it was empty except for a few sprinkles that were scattered at the bottom.

A small chuckle from her brother brought her attention to him.

"I guess dad forgot to get you one," James said with a laugh before sinking his teeth into the donut he was holding, letting out a long hum before he spoke again. "Such a shame too; sweet, moist, mouthwatering, everything you would want in a donut." James chuckled as he took another big bite. "I'm pretty sure they just came out of the oven too, which makes it a hundred times better," James said with a mouth full of donut.

Lily pressed her lips together in anger, much like her mother, as she recognized the unique, twisted shape of the donut James was eating. Lily slammed the box shut, causing it to cave in on itself. "That's my donut!" Lily yelled.

"Really? I didn't see your name on it," James replied before shoving the rest of the donut in his mouth and starting to chew with a smirk.

"That is my donut and you know it," Lily said, gritting her teeth. "You know I look forward to it every Friday, and it wasn't like you didn't get one."

"I don't know what you're talking about," James mumbled with his mouth full of pastry.

Lily looked in disgust as bites of chewed up donut flew out of her brother's mouth and onto his shirt as he spoke.

"James!" Lily yelled, annoyed with her brother. "You owe me a donut or I'm telling dad what you did," Lily threatened as she crossed her arms over her chest with a smirk of her own.

"You want a donut?" James asked with his mouth still full of the stolen treat.

"You know that I do," Lily replied.

James' smirk increased in malice as he placed his feet on the ground and stood up. "You want a donut? I'll give you a donut. " James said before he leaned over the table and opened his mouth, allowing the chewed up donut to fall out. "There's your donut! Enjoy!"

Lily clenched her fist and screamed angrily before storming out of the kitchen and back up to her room. "This isn't over, James!" Lily screamed as she slammed her bedroom door shut.
