Everyone was sitting around the breakfast table the next morning, enjoying Dobby's cooking when the question was asked. "Pup" Sirius looked at Iris, "Now that we know who Death was talking about, we need to talk about options we will have".
Iris stared down at her plate, collecting herself before she looked at the people she loved. "I don't ever want there to be a time that I'm on this earth without any of you. I know how selfish that sounds but I don't want to be alone again. Knowing that I will never die but there is still a chance that you can is terrifying to me", she tells her family.
Caroline walks over to stand by Iris, pulling her up into a hug she tells her, "You know I'm not ever leaving. I wouldn't have before if I was given a choice but now it's a definite" Looking around at the others she tells them, "I agree with Iris, I don't want to lose any of you if I don't have too".
The twins had already decided that they were going to turn so they could continue to be with Care. Wizards have a longer life that muggles naturally but they didn't want to grow older and her never change. Leaving Iris was also a negative, they couldn't leave their sister who saved them. Telling the girls this, it left the last two men to decide.
Remus was the one who spoke first, "I would love to be able to live and enjoy my life with all of you and never have to transform again. I don't want to leave you alone and since it's possible, I won't have to".
Sirius is the only one who hasn't spoke, Iris is worried he wouldn't want to become a vampire, that he would want to leave her. Finally he speaks, holding Remus hand and looking right at Iris, "I lost so much time to Azkaban. Years that should have been spent raising you and with my soulmate" Looking around all at the table, "Having a second chance at that life and spending an eternity with all of you, I won't pass that up".
Iris pulls both Sirius and Remus into a hug. The others join for a family group hug. Iris decided this was the best because she would never have to be alone again.

Nik had come over that afternoon as they had planned. Knocking on the door, he was surprised when Sirius and Remus both answered it. Instead of letting him in, they stepped out and closed the door.
"We need to talk", Sirius tells him, walking with Remus following.
Nik had told Iris he knew he would have to meet her uncles and he thought that was done last night. Now it seemed they wanted to have the 'talk' with him and knowing what they both were, well it made him kind of nervous. Regardless, he followed them to the path that leads through the trees.
"Iris is an amazing person" Remus begins, "She is the type of person who puts everyone she loves before herself. Sometimes even those she barely knows. She will give and give but never ask for help" Pausing, Sirius takes over. "She told us that her magic goes crazy when she's near you or touching. To her it feels like a livewire".
Nik looks confused at that, "What does that mean exactly, I'm not sure how your magic works compared to the witches from this world" he asks.
"What it means is that out of every single person on this planet, you are the one person she is one hundred percent compatible with" Remus explains.
"The way we describe it where we are from is that she's your soulmate. Once your wolf is free he will notice her as his mate" Sirius tells him.
Nik looks from one man to the other, "Why are you telling me this, shouldn't Iris be the one who explains it" Nik asks, confused.
Sirius snorts, "She would never. She wouldn't want to burden you and make you feel as if you have to be with her"
"Iris is not a person who wants to burden others, unfortunately the people she was raised by made her believe that's all she was to them" Remus tells him.
Nik thinks on what he was told and then looked at both men, the two most important men to Iris. "I know you're worried but I would never hurt her. When I met her, it was like the lights had been turned on after I had been in the dark for so long." he pauses, "I'm sure you this isn't something you want to hear from the man your niece is seeing but I think you need to know. I've already told Iris this but you can decide on what you think of me on your own".
Sirius and Remus brace themselves for whatever Nik was going to tell them.
"I have never been what is considered a good man. I have killed people, a lot of people over my thousand years but when Iris is with me I don't feel like I have to be that person" taking a breath he continues, "I have been trying to break this curse for my whole life and I have never let anything get in the way of my goal. For Iris though, I would give up all of my goals just to be with her".
Remus puts a hand on his shoulder, "That right there shows to us that you are a great man for Iris"
Sirius smiles and then shocks Nik, "Also, maybe when your curse is broken you could help Remus and I out with something" The two men then tell him about their conversation at breakfast.
"You all want to turn" He asks, looking at Remus "And you want me to sire you as a hybrid"
"I have lived with my lycanthropy since I was four years old. If I can live in a way that I would never have to turn against my will again I will take that option. I want to spend time with my family and I don't want to leave them" Remus tells him.
"When do the twins want to turn, I'm not sure it would be a good idea to do it now", Nik smirks, "Three baby vampires to train would be a nightmare" Sirius and Remus laugh.
They walk back towards the house, talking about a timeline. When they can finally see the porch, they notice Iris is waiting. Seeing all of them in one piece and laughing she smiles at them.

Fred and George were outside watching Nik teach Caroline how to be a vampire. Iris, Remus and Sirius were looking through more books. They wanted to double check that they had everything and they could make sure the plan would go on without any problems. Iris was the one they were planning to get Elenas blood. Honestly, compared to what they original witch had planned for the doppleganger this would be cake. The rest were going to be responsible for keeping the rest of the Scooby Gang out of it.
Iris had walked outside with the drinks Dobby had made. "Hey Care, how are you doing" she asked her about her progress.
"I think I'm getting the hang of this. I only ran into two trees this last time" Care says excitedly.
Iris smiles at her, "That's awesome Care. Can I borrow Nik for a bit" she asks. Nik follows Iris over to the seating area, "I have a question for you" she pauses, not sure how he would take the question, "Do you think that your siblings would be willing to help us with the plan"
Nik looks down but replies, "That may be an issue. Elijah wants to murder me because he thinks I dropped out siblings in the middle of the ocean after daggering them"
Iris looks at him, how does one respond to that. Shaking herself out of it, "I'm going to assume you didn't because I really can't see you doing that to your family" she reaches out for his hand, "Why would Elijah think that Nik"
Nik seems surprised that she doesn't think the worst of him, like most do. He tells her the story of his father and how he found them in New Orleans and that he thought at the time Elijah had been working with Mikael.
"I have a feeling I'm going to set Mikael up for a date with Death" Iris mumbles. Nik is shocked at her comment but smiles and leans over to kiss her. "What do you think Elijah would do if you were to contact him" she asks.
"If I were to contact him, he would probably laugh in my face. I honestly can't see him even hearing me out." Nik tells her, then adds, "If you were to meet him he would most likely hear you out. He's too noble to shove a lady off" They decide to shelf that idea for later. Remus came to sit with them and they began telling Nik the plan for breaking the curse.
Before it had gotten too late, Nik had asked Iris if she would accompany him for dinner. Iris had agreed and he told her he would be back to get her at six. With a kiss he left. Iris took off, grabbing Care and ran for her room.
