Thank you all I know Chapter 26 was short compared to how I normally write my chapters but I wanted to put something out there for you all since it has been a little while since I posted a chapter for "Sail Away"

"Warning this chapter will deal with abuse. I will put it in bold letters and put a trigger warning before I start talking about abuse of children and adults. If this is not something you can read please skip over it. It will not take too much away from the chapter. I am just showing what happens when women do not get the help they need because they believe what their husband or boyfriend tells them. They suffer and the children do until the mothers get out of the abusive relationship."
Recap 26
Ana, Christian and Ray found out some very interesting information on the men that the ladies were with. They also found out some very interesting and eye opening information on other people that were involved with pedo1 Elena and pedo 2 Grace.
Ana always thought there were more people involved with them but couldn't prove it for some reason. Now she knows she was right on her hunches. She is kicking her ass right now because she didn't pursue her hunches.
Now they know more and there will more than likely be a whole lot of people coming out of the woodwork now that Ana has the names of some of the big wigs. Like the judge and mayor and no telling who else will pop up on her and Ray's radar. Not to mention Barney and Welch.
It has come to my attention that Mrs. Ralstom should have known better than to take the words of the women that the children were unharmed. Yes she should have as long as she has been in the field. We will find out how she let that slip by her.
Now Dr. Greene is another story we will find out all about her in dew time. There is more to Dr. Betty Greene than we know. Right now there is no word on Christian having any children and with Jason Taylor we all know he keeps up with all of them ex-subs. No one has tried to blackmail or come forth with a baby. No one has seen any of them with children. But we will see yes we will.
Looks like Elena and Grace are going to be questioned again. Not by Ana but by Ray and other agents that know the case very well.
We all know Ana is biting at the bit to get back in there but she won't do it now that she is married.
Ana is about to blow her top when she was talking to Mrs. Ralston and now Christian is on fire knowing that Dr. Greene is with the children.
How can she be with the children examining them when she is an Obstetrician? She takes care of mothers and delivers babies. Humm food for thought on that one.
No worries the children will be protected and safe. Ana and Christian will make sure they are taken care of.

Chapter 27 Continued everything's coming out in the open.
"Paula, I need you to come to the house immediately. We are fine but we need to go to the hospital and check on some children that were brought in.. Yes they were the ones that were at the safe house with their moms. They have been abused and we need to be there."
"Oh my god Ana I will be right over in my car now. Elliot is driving like a bat outta hell. Slow down dammit they aren't hurt."
"Paula, I am leaving my laptop open and daddy is here. He knows what to do and help you work on this file we have opened. This is big but we are not going to work on it. Daddy and the best are going after them. We are just pulling serious information and girl it is a fuckin eye opener."
"Are you still there?"
"No Christian and I are on the way to the hospital. Yes Jason and Luke are with us and Dav and others are behind. You won't believe what you read. As I said daddy will fill you in and I will call you as soon as I can. Gotta go, we're here."
"Alright I'll let you know what we find."
"Thank you so much and sorry we had to run."
"Don't worry about it. You do what you have to do."
Jason parks the car and Ana and Christian jump out not waiting on Luke.
They run in the emergency room entrance.
"Excuse me, we need to know where Mrs. Ralston is with the children that were brought in for abuse."
The woman looks up at them and is stunned she sees not one but two beautiful people. Then realizes who they are.
"I'm sorry ma'am, sir. Mrs. Ralston is with Dr. Greene and the children in room 265 down the hall to the right second door on the right."
"Are the police there with them?"
"Yes Mrs. Trevelyan they are posted outside and one female and male inside because the children are different sexes."
"Thank you ma'am."
They run down the hall with Jason and Luke and a few other security guards.
Ana comes to a skidding halt almost falling in her heels when she almost passes the room. Christian grabs her in time.
"Whoa angel slow down."
"Thank you Boo this is the room. Come on."
"Officer..she looks at his badge..Crittington. My name is Anastasia Trevelyan and my husband Christian and our personal security. We were informed there were three children in there with a Dr. Greene and their case worker. Mrs. Ralston is waiting for us as we speak. I also need for you to talk to Mr. Jason Taylor and he will fill you in on Dr. Greene. Under no circumstances is she allowed to leave this room."
"Mrs. Trevelyan, we already know what is going on. Your father Raymond Steele CIA, has informed the police force and FBI that you and Mr. Trevelyan were on your way."
"Thank you sir."
He opens the door and they walk in after he tells the police officer inside they are coming in.
"Hello there Kimberly, Nathan and Jennifer. Do you all remember Mr. Trevelyan and me from the house you all are staying in with your moms?"
"Yes ma'am. We are scared. Where are our mommas?"
"Your moms are being taken care of the same as you three are. They are here in the hospital. Right now you three have to be taken care of."
"Mr. Gr…I mean Mr. Trevelyan may I ask why you and Mrs. Trevelyan are here? Are you related to these children?"
"Well, well, well as I live and breathe Dr. Betty Greene of Seattle Grace may I ask why you are here in Charleston inside of Seattle hum?"
"Mr. Gr..Mr. Trevelyan I transferred early this year to this hospital."
"Correct me if I am wrong but aren't you and O.B.G.Y.N.?"
"Yes I am but I am also a pediatrician. I hold the license and degrees for both professions. I never wanted to step into your..umm Mrs. Trevelyan Grey's shoes."
"Well the plot thickens."
Ana says under her breath but they heard her.
"Excuse me, what did you say and mean Mrs. Trevelyan?"
"Oh I was just wondering the same thing as my husband that is all."
"Well if you will excuse me we have to check these children and you both need to leave."
"Well I am sorry to disappoint you Dr. Greene but Mr. and Mrs. Trevelyan are staying right here as are you. We have another pediatrician on the way."
"I am the leading pediatrician here and what I say goes. So you all need to step out of the room. Or I will have these police officers escort you out."
" Excuse me. There is a doctor by the name of Doreen Constella at the door."
"Please let her come in, thank you."
"Yes ma'am."
"One moment. Excuse me. My name is Raymond Steele CIA and FBI and Connie Bratcher CIA and FBI."
"How may we help you? I am Mrs. Ralston from the Department Of Family and Children's Services."
"We were informed that we need to speak with Dr. Betty Greene. It is imperative. I must ask, " has she checked the children?"
"I will answer that. No I have not begun to check them and what is so important you must take me away from my duties sir?"
"Dr. Greene, please come with us. Dr. Constella will be taking over for you."
"Sir, I would like to know why?"
"Dr. Greene, I prefer not to discuss this in front of an audience."
'Dr. Greene, please come with us now."
"Very well I will cooperate. Mr. and Mrs. Trevelyan I have a feeling you both know what is going on."
"I will say Dr. Greene, remember your NDA."
"How could I ever forget Mr. Gr..Mr. Trevelyan?"
And with that she walks out the door.
Ray looks at both of them and walks out with the other agent.
A knock on the door.
"Excuse me, my name is Dr. Jefferson Standridge. I am the head of this hospital. I have been informed about some changes and some things going on. I understand that Dr. Doreen Constella will be taking over for Dr. Greene?"
He is looking and speaking to Ana like she did this.
"Yes sir, she is. If you need more information you will have to speak to agents Raymond Steele and Connie Bratcher CIA. I assume you know who I am. I no longer work for the FBI sir."
"Thank you Mrs. Trevelyan, yes you and your husband are very well known here for your help and donations not to mention what you both went through and the cases you had. I will leave you all in capable hands. Dr. Constella proceed."
The good doctor walks out.
"I looked over the childrens file as you all were talking. I understand Mrs. Ralston, you are their case worker, am I correct?"
"Yes Dr. Constella you are correct and their mothers too."
"I am sure another doctor is taking care of their mothers."
"Yes ma'am they are."
"Mr and Mrs. Trevelyan may I ask as to why you are here in the room with the children?"
"These children and their mothers were sent to our safe house because of abuse to their mothers. Mrs. Ralston called us and told us that not only were the women abused, the children were also. When we explained about Dr. Greene.. but it is not our place to tell you about her. You will have to get that information from the police or Mr. Steele."
"We asked Mrs. Ralston if she was there with the children and she said she was on her way and she would meet us there at the hospital. All we know is someone reported that the children had been abused as well as their mothers."
"I want my mommy."
"I want my mommy too."
"You will see your mommies in a little while they are being taken care of. Would you all like a lollipop?"
"Dr. Constella you can not tell those children that they will see their mothers in a little while."
She ignores Ana.
"Oh yes ma'am please thank you."
"You are very welcome young man. Nathan, that is your name and this is your sister Kimberly?"
"Yes ma'am and that one is Jennifer, she is not my sister."
"Thank you."
"Nathan, I would like to know why you didn't tell anyone about what happened to you and your sister. Can you tell me?"
All the kids look at Mrs. Ralston then at Ana and Christian. Jennifer gets off the bed and runs to Ana.
"Hey it's alright sweetie you can tell us. We are here to help all of you."
"Nathan, did someone tell you not to say anything about what they did to you and your sister?"
"Yes ma'am they said if we told they would hurt us badly and take us away from mommy."
He starts to cry and Kimberly runs to him hugging her brother.

"Nathan can you tell us what happened and who did this to you both and show us where you are hurt?"
"I am afraid too."
"Honey no one will hurt you, we are going to help you all and keep you safe."
He starts to cry. Christian gets up and walks over to him.
"Hey little man you can tell us no one is going to hurt you, your sister or Jennifer ever again. I promise. You know I have places on me where I was hurt when I was younger than any of you by a bad man who didn't like me. Then I was hurt again when I was older by someone that I thought was my friend. I didn't tell my parents and that friend kept on hurting me telling me I deserved everything that was done to me. That if I told my parents or anyone they would not believe me and they didn't love me. But you know what that wasn't true. I was scared to tell my parents and she told me all kinds of lies. So let us help you all okay?"
"Mr. Trevelyan you were hurt as a kid?"
"Yes Jennifer I was by someone that was supposed to be my friend and my mom's best friend. So you all see some people that hurt you and scare you are not your friends."
Nathan takes a deep breath and starts talking.
"MydaddyhitmeandKimmysomanytimes."
"Slow down there speedy."
He laughs and wipes his eyes.
"My daddy hit me and Kimmy so many times it hurt so bad. Sometimes I would jump in front of sissy so he would hit me and not her. That made him really mad at me. I just wanted him to leave my sister alone."
"Can you show me where he hurt you at?''
"Here and here..he points to his back and sides..over here..his ribs and down here..his little wee wee. I didn't want him touching me. He only did it one time there but I knew it was wrong. It was wrong wasn't it Mr. T? So easier to say than your name."
"Yes son it was wrong very wrong. Now will you let Dr. Constella look at you?"
"Yes sir and she can look at Kimmy too."
He walks over to Dr. Constella and raises his shirt.
They all hear Ana gasp very loud and see tears running down her face.
Christian walks over to her and then looks at Nathan's back and it looks like a road map with scars and bruises and red marks all over him.
"How in god's name can that child even move?"
He whispers to Ana.
"Boo I have no idea. How in god's name did you move?"
"Angel to this day I still don't know how I made it from her house to mine everyday. I guess I was so scared for anyone to see me that I just persevered and kept moving."
"Well love there is your answer. Nathan did the same thing he was scared for himself and his sister."
"You are so smart and here I am supposed to be smart like you. But back then I wasn't was I?"
"You just listened to the wrong person and with the wrong freakin head. You knew what she did was wrong but when you started that was what you wanted and like you said you were a horny kid…a kid you hear that? You said no one could tell you any different. Hormones raging. Then you remembered she drugged you."
"Yes you are right. I remember you saying that I was business smart but when it comes to women I was dumber than a bag of rocks, dumber than doorknob and oh yes dumber than a second coat of paint whatever that one meant. You really knew how to get to me."
"Yeah but it took years my love but we made it."
"Nathan does it hurt for me to touch you on your back and sides?"
"Yes ma'am on the last ones you touched. The others are not new."
"Honey, you are only seven years old. How old were you when this started? Do you remember?"
"It was before my sissy came along. Yeah she wasn't here yet."
"Okay now I am going to ask you, does your mom know about these places? Tell me the truth, we want to help and protect all of you."
"Not all of them but some of them she does."
"What do you mean Nathan? Explain it to me?"
"Um, well when I was smaller daddy would take his belt to me if I made too much noise while he was reading the paper or doing something on his computer. I saw people without clothes one time and he saw me looking and he smacked me across the room. Another time I was crying cause I was sick and he yelled and told me to be quiet. I didn't and he took me in my room and put me in the closet and it was so dark I was screaming. He grabbed me and threw me on my bed and beat me and beat me then he touched me down there and squeezed and then walked out cause he heard mommy."
"What happened after that?"
"Mommy was yelling at him for hurting me. He hit her pretty hard…and he told her he was going to tie her up and do bad things…to.. to her if she didn't start helping him with me."
He cries and can barely talk.
"Okay what next? Come on, you can tell me. No one is going to hurt you. What happened after that Nathan?"
"Dr. Constella, I think he needs a break don't you?"
"Mrs. Trevelyan I am the doctor and I will say when he needs a break."
"Forgive me Dr. Constella but this has been going on for almost an hour. I believe the child needs a break and something to drink. You have two other children to talk to you. Do not make me go over your head."
"My dear young lady I know who you are and I know you and your husband practically own this hospital but you will not tell me how to treat my patients."
Their voices are rising and the door is thrown open.
"Dr. Constella enough."
"What in the world is going on in here? I and everyone else can hear you all. Plus there is crying."
The head of the hospital has walked in.
"Dr. Constella, Mrs. Trevelyan you both need to calm down. Doctor you need to give Nathan a break he is crying and look at him he is at his breaking point."
"Dr. Standridge thank you but I can handle this sir."
"Well from the looks and sounds of it you can not. There is no reason to raise your voice in a patient's room."
"Yes sir I understand this but I am trying to help Nathan tell me what all was done to him. Well it is better to get it all out while it is fresh in his mind than wait and he forgets something."
"I beg to differ ma'am. I took some courses in how to work with victims of abuse, especially children and this is not the way to do it. I know you are trying to help but you do not have to badger him you are down right being high handed to this child. Do not treat him like that anymore. Do I make myself clear? I don't care if I own this hospital or not, and last time I checked I didn't. But you will not treat a child like an adult."
"Whoa ladies let's take a break come on Ana sit down. Dr. Constella settle down."
"I agree with you Mr. Trevelyan. Ladies relax for a few minutes and grab a water or coffee. You are upsetting the children."
"Dr. Constella I would like to speak to you privately as soon as you calm down."
"Yes sir Dr. Standridge let me grab some water please."
"Boo come on, I need to get out of here for a few minutes."
"Ms. Ana, are you coming back?"
"Yes sweetie, I will be back in a few minutes."
"Okay."
They walk out the door down the hall with Jason and Luke following them.
"What was that all about?"
"What are you talking about me or the doctor?"
"Well the doctor and you and then you trying to put her in her place."
"She was trying to treat him like an adult and pushing words on him. She didn't give him time to tell her some of the things that happened to him. As soon as he said one thing she asked for another answer and another. My god Boo enough is enough she was badgering him and he is a kid."
"I know what you are saying but you and her both need to calm down. You are not helping the children."
"I know and I am sorry but I would have never talked to him like that or that long. She got so caught up in what he was saying that she wasn't looking at his scars and bruises any longer or documenting anything in his file."
"Yes I saw all that."
"As I said I took courses pertaining to how to talk and help a child or an adult through certain kinds of trauma. At first it was for extracurricular activities. Then I decided I was also trying to understand you and help you if I could. I knew something was wrong back home and then when I saw you two coming out of that hotel there not too far from campus. You looked so broken but she didn't care she just glared at me and held you up to keep you from falling."
"Anyway No One should question a child like she did for that long at one time."
He just lowers his head and won't look at her.
"It's over Boo. Look at me, it's water under the bridge. I didn't tell you that to upset you. I told you that so you would understand why I took those courses and spoke to Dr. Constella like I did. Yes I might have been out of line but I couldn't stand seeing him upset like that."
"Alright well now are you ready to go back in?"
"Christian don't block me out?"
"I'm not angel believe me. If I need to talk we will talk later. I love you my angel."
"Alright and I love you my Boo."
"Yes let's see what the other two precious darlins have to say."
They are walking back toward the room.
"Daddy what is going on?"
"Well Dr. Greene has decided to stay quiet and not say anything without her lawyer."
"Oh my god really and what has she done?"
"Oh my sweet girl, that is a story for another time. Now let's go see what is going on with the children."
"Poor little Nathan has been beaten so bad his little back looks like a road map daddy. He has bruises all over it and belt marks. I swear he was hit with a buckle or something on the end to leave indentations like what he has.
"Oh my goodness how about the girls?"
"Don't know yet she was badgering little Nathan for almost a hour and you know that is not how it is done."
"Well come on and let me see what she is doing now."
They walk back into the room and Dr. Constella eyes Ana and Ana stares right back at her.
"Dr. Constella, what are your findings on this young Nathan?"
"Hello Jefferson, how are you? I didn't see you there."
"Hello Ray I am doing good and you?"
"Couldn't be better sir."
"Continue please Dr. Constella."
"Sir he has bruises that are old and some very new ones. His back and sides have been badly beaten. He has bruising on his lower parts but nothing like his upper and lower back. His butt has welts on it from recently being whipped with a belt."
"My god was this by his father or mother or both?"
"He said it was mostly his father and his father told his mother that she needed to discipline him and his sister to help him keep them in line. I haven't checked Kimerly yet. I was going to do that as soon as Mrs. Trevelyan came back in."
"Very well."
"Mrs. Trevelyan, I want to apologize for my behavior towards you. I also apologized to Nathan."
"Thank you and I apologize also I was out of line and I am sorry but I just could not condon you speaking to him like that."
"Yes and I understand."
"Now let us continue."
"Kimberly, would you please come over here with me? I just want to look at you for a few moments and see where you are hurt."
"Ms. Ana, will you come with me?"
Ana looks at the doctor. She nods her head. It's okay.
"Sure sweetie come on."
"Kimberly, will you raise your shirt and let us look at your back please?"
"Yes ma'am but Mr. T and him turn around peese."
Christian and Ray face the door.
"Okay sweetie, they are not looking now. You can look and see they are facing the door."
She glances over at them and back at the doctor and lifts her shirt.
They both gasp but not loud even Mrs. Ralston is silent.
"Kimberly, who did this to you? Please sweet girl we need to know."
She looks over at her brother. He walks over to her and holds her hand.
"You can tell them sissy they won't hurt you."
"My daddy and mommy. Mommy hit me here with her hand then with a belt when I wouldn't stop crying. She called me baby and said shut up. She hit me across face too. Daddy he meanie he popped me upside my head and I hit the wall didn't I bruder?"
"Yes sissy you did and you laid there and didn't get up."
"Did they take her to the doctor Nathan?"
"No, no they just picked her up and threw her on the bed and said now she will be quiet."
"Oh my god."
"Kimberly, did your daddy or mommy touch you down there at any time?"
"Not mommy but daddy. He put his hand on my panties and touched me. I tried to move away from him but he held me down and he just rubbed me."
"I'm gonna kill the bastard."
Christian said so low only Ray heard him. Ana looked at him. She knows what he said.
"Does your mommy know your daddy did that to you?"
"Nope, he told me he would hurt my bruder if I told her. So me didn't. I did not want my bruder hurt."
"We know sweetie we know."
Ana takes her and comforts her.
"Jennifer, can I take a look at you honey?"
"Yes ma'am but they need to move."
"Ok we know we will look at the door."
Ana stays with her holding Kimberly.
"Lift your shirt for me please?"
"Oh my goodness poor baby."
"Ms. Ana, don't cry it don't hurt any more. I mean it doesn't hurt any more. I have been good."
"Who, who marked you like this?"
"Mommy's friend, she said he was her boyfriend. She has had some men before him."
'Did the other men hurt you?"
"No ma'am."
"Do you know her boyfriend's name?"
"Da..Damon yes Damon."
"Has your mommy hit you anywhere?"
"She hit my face one time but she said she was sorry. I don't think she was cause she did it again another time. Look, look at my legs, they are hurt too. I have to wear tights all the time, mommy said."
She pulls her tights down and you can see all kinds of bruises on her little legs from the thighs to her feet.
"Let's take these off okay? I know they have to be hot and bother you."
"Thank you Ms. Ana."
"You are welcome honey."
"Okay we have documented all the bruising and scars and have recorded what the children said and also taken pictures of their injuries. I think we are done for now."
"Children, do you have any other family that can take care of you for now?"
"We have our grandparents and my aunt has kids."
"Have y'all stayed with them or your aunt before?"
"Yes ma'am we have and I miss them."
"Me too, I love my nanny and pappy."
"Well would you both like to visit them if they can take care of you both for now?"
"Yes doctor."
"Jennifer, do you have other family members like grandparents or uncles and aunts?"
"Yes Mrs. Ralston I do but my grandparents are old and they are far away. They live in California. I have an aunt who lives in Florida and an uncle that lives here."

You have to remember that Kimberly has just turned five years old so her speech is a little off considering what she is talking about and how upset she is. Her language isn't a typo. I know kids that say the wrong words hell we are adults and we say the wrong words like ain't..which is not a word..
Conversation with Dr. Betty Greene
"Dr. Betty Greene, let me introduce myself to you again. My name is Raymond Steele. I am the lead agent of the CIA and FBI and this ongoing case. Your name has come under our radar with photos of you and some very unsavory characters with proof that you are part of a sex trafficking ring. You are under arrest for aiding and abetting in the disappearance of young children that you have had access to."
"Dr. Betty Greene, let me introduce myself to you again. My name is Connie Bratcher and I am an agent of the CIA and FBI. As Agent Steele has said, you are under arrest. Please put your hands behind your back. Do you have any sharp objects in your pockets?"
"No I do not and you are making a mistake. I have done nothing wrong."
"Dr. Greene I do not make mistakes."
"Well this time you did."
"Please read her her rights Agent Bratcher."
"Dr. Betty Greene, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney. If you can not afford an attorney one will be appointed for you. Do you understand your rights as I have read them to you? Do you wish to talk to us now?"
"Yes I understand and no I do not wish to talk to you. I would like to call my lawyer."
"You can do that after we have processed you. This way please."
They walk out the door and Dr. Greene keeps her head down not wanting to look at any of her colleagues and they see her in handcuffs.
They walk her out to the car and put her in the backseat and buckle her in.
"Agent Bratcher I am going back in to see what the findings are of those children. I have Agent Chandler here. She is going to go with you to process Dr. Greene. I would like a full report this afternoon as soon as possible. I will be back in the department later today."
"Yes we will take care of it and you will have your report this afternoon ASAP."
Back to the present with Ray in the emergency room with the children
"Dr. Constella, what are your findings on this young man Nathan?"
"Sir he has bruises on his upper and lower back. Some are old and some are very recent. His back and sides have been manipulated. He has bruising on his lower parts but nothing like his back. His butt has welts on it where he was recently whipped with a belt. He said it was a belt that was used on him."
"Lord help thank you and there was no internal damage?"
"We have not taken x-rays of him. He is scheduled to go down as soon as the orderly comes and gets him. Sir I would like for him to stay until we have his sister evaluated. He keeps her calm."
"Yes, that is fine. The orderly can wait a few moments."
"Thank you Agent Steele."
"Did he say who did this? My god was it his mother or father or both?"
"He said mostly their father and his father told his mother that she needed to discipline him and his sister to help him keep them in line."
"Keep them in line heaven be they are children and you know children are mischievous."
"Yes sir how well I know. Now I am going to talk to Kimberly and check her."
Dr. Constella and Ana both said their peace and apologized.
Dr. Constella checked Kimberly and then Jennifer and found bruises and deep belt marks on them as well. Jennifer's legs were pretty bad.
I didn't see the purpose of rewriting the abuse again.
"Alright Nathan, would you please go with this nice man to have some x-rays taken for me? I will show you the pictures when you come back."
"Yes ma'am but Mr. T. will you come with me sir?"
"Yes I will but I can't go in the room with you. I will be right outside your door. Is that alright?"
"Yes sir. Kimmy, sissy I will be back in a little bit. You stay with Ms. Ana and the doctor will they will keep you safe."
"Otay bruder."
"I don't believe the girls need x-rays because their bruises are not as deep as Nathan's. I would like to take a better look at Jennifer's legs. They might be infected."
Ana is looking at her legs now.
"Dr. Constella, I think you might be right. I see some oozing on her left leg."
Dr. Constella has Jennifer get up on the bed so she can take a better look at her legs.
"Yes see here she has puss coming out of this one and oh my back here too."
"Yes I see that now."
"Excuse me for a moment, I have to take this."
Dr. Constella walks away for a few minutes.
"That was radiology and the radiologist said from their findings Nathan has some deep bruising but nothing damaging or life threatening."
"I am sure if he didn't take the burnt of the beatings poor little Kimberly would look like him."
"Yes I am sure she would and most likely be worse because she is so small."
"Jennifer I have some cream here I would like to put on your legs if you will let me."
"Yes ma'am thank you they sting and itch."
"This cream will help."
"Here comes out little trooper now."
They walk in and Christian gives her Nathan's x-rays.
"Nathan, would you like to see what you had done?"
"Umm yes ma'am, is that my picture they took of me?"
"Yes it is. I am going to put them on this screen and light the screen up and you can see inside your body."
"Oh wow."
She walks over and turns on a light and puts the x-ray on the screen.
"That's me?"
"Yes it is your back and your front and nothing is broken, just bruised."
"Sissy look that is inside my body."
She just looks but doesn't say anything.
"Children I am sorry to tell you all this but you will not be going home with your mothers. They have hurt you all and we can't allow that."
This from earlier just different wording
Children, do you have any other family that can take care of you?"
"Our grandparents and my aunt Sally. We spend the night there a lot."
"Do you know where they live Nathan? Have y'all stayed with your grandparents before?"
"Yes we have, I miss them."
"Me too. I love my nanny and pappy."
"Well that is settled if I can get in touch with them. Do they live here in Charleston close by?"
"Yes ma'am over near the school we go to."
"Okay thank you big boy."
"Jennifer, do you have anyone you can stay with for a while?"
"Yes Mrs. Ralston I do, but my grandparents are old and they are far away. They live in California. I have an aunt who lives in Florida and an uncle who lives here."
"Is your uncle married and does he have any kids?"
"Yes ma'am he is married to my aunt Trish. They have two kids, a boy and a girl. I have spent the night with them a lot of times."
"Ok well I need their names so I can call them and see if it is alright for you to stay with them for a while."
"Yes ma'am I am sure it will be. His name is Matthew Dunlap and my aunt's name is Corrine."
"Thank you hun."
"I will look up Nathan's grandparents name and call them."
"Thank you Mrs. Ralston for handling this so efficiently."
"Well from now on I will never take the word of children like I did with these three. I am so ashamed of myself. I was the only one in the office to handle this when they came in. I am not making excuses but I wasn't supposed to take on both families. I didn't do my job efficiently either that is on me."
"Yes well you made up for it by being here and taking care of this."
"I have to make some calls. The children will be fine here on this wing with the medical staff they will feed them and no one will bother them. I assume your security will be here for them?"
"Yes ma'am they will. We are going to take them out to the play area for a while to get their minds off this. Our security will alert us when the families come for the children."
"Very well I will talk to you all later. Have a good afternoon."
"You as well."
"Come along children, we are going to the play area and then have pizza and ice cream. Does that sound good?"
"Yumm yummy yes ma'am."
They all laugh.
They walk out the door and down the hall and see two police officers walking in the door. That is where the mothers are.
"Let's hurry, I want to swing."
Ana says that just to get the kids out of the hall so they don't see their mothers.
"Ms. Ana, you are too big to swing."
"Say what ? I love to swing."
They walk out into the play area and the swings are too small for Ana.
"Well it looks like they are not big enough for me but they are for y'all. Go swing, go play, have fun."
That's how their afternoon turned out playing and eating pizza then topping it off with ice cream.
The children left with their families and Ana and Christian promised to visit them.
The families had no idea that this was going on in their lives.
"Alright let's go see where daddy is."
He was talking to the guys.
"Are you all ready to go?"
"Yes Ray we are."
They all walk to the car.
"Y'all did get NDAs signed right from everyone?"
"Now Ana have you just met me?"
"Right but you know I have to ask Jason."
"Yes dear we did."
"Would you like to go out and eat tonight or stay and grill hamburgers and hotdogs and all your fixins?"
"Oh hamburgers and hotdogs. Daddy you and Christian grilling right?"you have
"Yes Annie we are."
"Whoop whoop let's go."
"Do we have everything we need angel?"
"If we don't we can send someone to the store."
"I just want to go home and relax for a little bit."
"Alright sounds good to me."
"Daddy are you coming to the house with us?"
"No sweet girl, I need to stop by the office for a little while. I am going to cook but I need to do this first."
"Okay we will see you later."
They get in the car and go home.
"I wonder what else daddy found out about Dr. Greene? I am dying to see what all Paula got."
"Yes I am too. I am going to call El and tell him we are grilling tonight."
"Okay and he can bring the beer y'all like."
"Now you talkin woman. He drinks mine all the time."
AN: I tried not to go into a lot of detail with the abuse. There was more but you all got the main parts. That's it for another chapter more to come soon. I am on a roll now. Got my mojo back and strollin right along.
