Chapter 6: The Thanksgiving Parade:

Nancy's POV:

I arrived at the parade. There were balloons of the Justice League, some Looney Tunes, and even the Blue Falcon and Dynomutt. I then saw the Thanksgiving Thief. "Got'cha," I said. I then chased after them.

. . .

I chased after the Thanksgiving Thief. They kept throwing things at me, making it difficult. They then ran into an ally. "You're not getting away," I said.

. . .

I cornered the Thanksgiving Thief. "It's over," I said.

"Nancy Drew," says the thief, "I was so hoping you would come."

"It's over," I said, "why do you keep doing it?"

"What? The crimes I've been committing. What do you care? Thanksgiving isn't even that big a deal to you. Every year, you forget about it to focus on some case."

"What's your point," I asked.

"Nancy, Thanksgiving is about spending time with your family and saying what you're thankful for," says the thief, "but you don't seem to understand that."

"Wait, you mean you've been stealing things to teach me a lesson," I said, "that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Why would you even care about what I do?"

"Nancy, I'm your past, I'm your future..." I then grabbed their hat and saw their face. "I'm you!"

. . .

Turns out, the Thanksgiving Thief was... okay, I still don't know what they were, but I know that they were me and she was right. I then thought about what I'm thankful for. My friends, my family, and I've been neglecting it all. I was trying to catch someone who was stealing Thanksgiving, but the real crime was me throwing it away. I'm going to make this right!

. . .

Now I'm spending Thanksgiving with my friends and family and this time, nothing's going to ruin that.
