Chapter 5: Charity:

Nancy's POV:

I then knocked on Charity's door.

"Nancy," asks Charity.

"Charity... you're not going to like what I'm about to say," I said.

I then told Charity.

"So... you think I might have done it," says Charity.

"Don't get me wrong," I said, "I think you're perfect for Bess. I mean, for one thing, you're not possessing anyone, and you didn't curse any of us. It's just that-"

"I get it," says Charity, "it's a detective thing and we don't hang out that much. So, this is probably the part where I tell you what I was doing."

"Yeah," I said.

Charity's POV - Flashback:

After I left the store, I was on my way home. I then gave some money to one of those Santas you see by the streets. I then stopped to tie my shoe and then I got home.

Nancy's POV - Present:

"And after that," I asked.

"I did get a weird phone call," says Charity, "but it was no one."

"Weird," I said.

. . .

I was back at Pop's.

"Anything," asks Bess.

"No," I said, "does Ali have any enemies?"

"No," says Bess, "she's a very nice girl."

"So, then why did you guys break up," I asked.

"Well... she did have one problem," says Bess, "she was kind of clingy."

I then had a thought.
