Eddie is holding Catalina Lydia Diaz and watching as this tiny little thing in his arms eats from his nipple. She is three hours old, and Eddie will kill for this bundle in his arms.
"Eddie!" FransiskaDegermark and CarolinaNoboa bounce in, making Eddie laugh. These two women have saved him from himself.
"Hey, Frans and Caro. How are you?" Eddie asks his cousins. These women are the only two who have ever supported him. After his rape, everyone that he loved left him. All thinking that he cheated on his ex-partner. However, Fransiska and Carolina barged into his room during his mental breakdown to know the truth.
"We're good, however..." Fransiska bites her lip. Eddie frowns.
"Fran?" Eddie asks. Carolina sighs.
"Our family and your ex found out about you being raped and pregnant. They're all outside wanting to see you and the baby," Carolina tells him. Eddie holds his baby tighter. Eddie looks behind them to see Bautista and Börje guarding his door. Eddie raises an eyebrow at the two women. They shrug.
"Bau loves having you in his life. You brighten his day whenever you are over," Carolina says with a smile. She's so lucky to have a husband who understands how important her family is to her.
"Bör also loves having you around. You matter to them," Fransiska says. Eddie looks down.
"What do I do?" Eddie asks, so afraid and tired. Both women go to each side of Eddie.
"What do you want to do?" Fransiska asks her baby cousin. Eddie leans into her.
"I don't want anyone that's not you four. I don't need them in my life," Eddie says, and the two women smile proudly at him.
"We'll leave you and your baby alone," Carolina tells him. Both kiss his cheek. They leave and go to the visitors.
"Go home. Eddie doesn't want to see anyone," Carolina tells them flatly.
"Don't argue with us. If Eddie doesn't want to see you, respect that. What you did was bullshit, and you know it. Go home," Fransiska tells them. One by one, everyone left. Eddie was left alone. When a knock on the door, Eddie jumped and looked up. He sees Buck, Chris, and Tommy. The older man is glaring at Buck and Christopher. Chris looks at him and starts crying.
"Sorry, Eddie. Someone, no one knows who told the 118 that you were raped and pregnant. Whoever told them said to them that you gave birth today. Christopher overheard the conversation and demanded that everything be told to him. Now, here we are. What do you want to do about it? Sal is on a warpath about finding this person," Tommy explains to the other man. Eddie smiles wearily at Buck and Christopher. Christopher slowly goes to him.
"Catalina Lydia Diaz," Eddie shows his son. Chris is in awe of his newborn sister. Eddie opens his arms for his son and the boy enters his arms. Tommy is on the side to help Chris if need be. Buck slowly goes to Eddie's other side.
"Dad," Chris says to him. Eddie hums to him.
"I'm sorry," Chris tells him, and Eddie sighs.
"Thank you, Christopher," Eddie says. The other two adults can tell that he didn't say, 'It's fine,' or 'It'll be okay,' or 'You did nothing wrong,'. It not fine, or will it be okay. Chris runs to Buck after discovering that Eddie has lied and hasn't told him. Tommy has to tell Eddie that Chris is with them.
"Do you have everything?" Buck asks. Eddie slumps down into a bed.
"My cousins and sisters whom I served with helped me get what I needed," Eddie tells him, trying to fight his tone. Buck can hear the fighting tone and nods.
"Can we help?" Chris asks, and Eddie looks at Tommy with tears.
"Let's go, Chris. We're going to bring Eddie some food. What do you want?" Tommy asks the new dad. Eddie smiles.
"Pasta," Eddie says, and Tommy laughs.
"I'll make you pasta," Tommy says, and Eddie beams. Buck melts at seeing the two interacting. Tommy takes Chris and leaves. Eddie looks at Catalina.
"Did you move?" Buck asks.
"My rapist was a stalker. He followed me when I was alone. You had Chris, so I figured I didn't need to get him out of danger. So I managed to find something fast. I had him, you, and Tommy in mind. I'll let you follow me when I get out," Eddie tells him. Buck nods in understanding.
"Eddie," Buck says, and Eddie nods his head. Buck takes his fingers to Eddie's chin and lifts his head so the two men are eye to eye.
"I'm sorry for not having your back. I love you, Eddie. I will always love you and help you in any way you let me help. I will make it up to you. You, Tommy, and Chris are my family. Catalina is my daughter, as Chris is my son. You gave me a family that I needed and wanted. You and Tommy are my soulmates. I love you, Edmundo Diaz. I will take care of you," Buck tells him. Eddie hands their daughter to him and breaks down, sobbing. Buck takes his daughter to a rushing nurse and hugs Eddie.
"When can Eddie and our daughter be discharged?" Buck questions the nurse.
"Today is a good time," The nurse tells him. Buck takes his partner and child home.
"Tommy knows I love you and want you happy and healthy. He knows that I will do anything for you. He loves you too, you know. We want you in our lives. He knows that it's not romantic between us and loves it. We're all a family. I will make it up to you," Buck tells him.
"Tommy helped me a lot when I was raped. I'm glad that you are dating him," Eddie tells him. Buck smiles.
"What about Chris?" Buck asks Eddie. Both know that Chris is a touchy subject, but it needs to be dealt with.
"What are you thinking?" Eddie asks him.
"Let Chris know how much he hurt you. Let him know that what he did was not okay. I grounded him and made him not have video games for running away," Buck tells him. Eddie's quiet for the rest of the car ride.
Once home, Eddie sees Tommy and Chris in the kitchen. It won't be easy, but Eddie has friends and family to help him. Buck and Chris are in his life again. It will be hard to trust them, but they will make it work.
