Title: 'Til the End of Time
Romilda Vane pressed her quill to her parchment, the pressure causing the tip to snap off and then the ink to streak across her potion essay she was working on for Professor Slughorn's class: the antidote to Veritaserum. She clenched her teeth together in anger but it wasn't because she would have to start over on her essay, no, it was because she just watched Harry wrap his arm around Ginny Weasley. Perfect Ginny Weasley. What did she have that she didn't? Her anger only increased when she watched Harry lean in and whisper something in Ginny's ear, making her laugh. That was supposed to be her, not Ginny, Harry was the one that was supposed to be whispering things in her ear, making her laugh. What was it that made Ginny Weasley so special?
Did Ginny even know Harry, truly know him like she did? No, she didn't, because Harry was her true love, not Ginny's, hers. She knew Harry better then anyone in this world. She knew that Harry woke up everyday at seven on the dot and around seven-thirty, he would head down to the Great Hall for breakfast where he would have eggs on toast with orange juice before he made his way to his first class: Charms. On Wednesdays, it would be Transfiguration. Fridays, it was Potions and Tuesdays and Thursdays were Runes. She knew his class schedules like the back of her hand. On Tuesdays, he only had two classes in the morning and that's it, leaving the rest of his day free where he would spend it in the library or walking the grounds of Hogwarts unless he had one of his meetings with the Headmaster.
Romilda hated those meetings. She tried every spell in order to eavesdrop, in order to hear what was going on, on the other side of the door, but the Headmaster had a protective shield around his office, preventing her from doing so. She should have known that the Headmaster would do something in order to get in between her and Harry's love.
She didn't understand how no one was able to see it, how her and Harry were soulmates, that they were meant to be together until the end of time. She would have Harry right now, she would be one in his arms, watching the fire and eating Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans out of his lap instead of Ginny, but because of Ron, she wasn't. She knew that Ron had eaten her chocolates on purpose, just to get in between her and Harry, and now she couldn't get within ten feet of Harry without Hermione staring her down.
Why couldn't Hermione see that the only reason she spiked the chocolates with Amortentia was because Harry was confused? Her poor little Harry was so confused, and she was just trying to help him see that she was the one that he should be with and not Ginny. She didn't care how long it took her; she would get Harry to realize that they should be together, no matter what it took because her and Harry were soulmates 'til the end of time.
