After waking up from a peaceful night asleep, Ben bolted out of bed and walked out from the inn and made his way to the forest outside of the capital city, as the ten year old boy decided that place was the best area to test out what this watch on his wrist could do, he already meet two of the ten heroines he could summon by the "Chaquetrix" as the status screen called it, Tetra the Tetramand and the Petrosapian woman he named Crystal, but there was still eight other heroines inside the watch for him to see, and that was what he was going to do
Once he was consideredbly deep in the forest, he looked around to see if he was alone, he activated the alien watch, as the holographic interface in the shape of a heart was projected for him to see, he held his finger on the face plate to make the faces rotate as he decided who he was going to summon, taking of his finger from the face plate to make it to stop at a face of a woman with some strange stalks coming from her head, he slammed the watch core down
From the explosion of pink light, he saw a humanoid bug in front of him, her lower half was similar to a bug, with six legs, four slim crab-like legs that stood by the side along her tail that had a big, sharp sting at the end, and the two in the front were much bigger and thicker in comparison and ended in very sharp tips that seemed like they could impale someone, with a dark pigmentation that came from her kneecaps all the way down to the tip of her frontal legs, which made it look like she was wearing a pair of long black stockings. From the end of her tail up to her upper body was was covered in a white jumpsuit with black lining which covered up until her torso, letting her upper boobs and shoulder area open to show her brown-greenish skin color. her arms were in a similar position to her frontal legs as they looked like she was wearing long black gloves but that was just pigmentation, her hands each had only three knife sharp fingers on each. Her head featured a green mouth with plump black lips, while the rest of her head was black like her arms and frontal legs, she had four small eyes on long prehensile stalks connected to her head. On her waist were two very fragile light greenish-yellow dragon-like wings with veins running through them
Ben looked at her and thought she was awesome but the moment a foul stench hit his nostrils, he immediately covered his nose and waved the air to make it go away, he looked and guessed that the smell came from the alien bug since the smell only appeared after she did "Eeew! You smell worse than the entire boy's bathroom!" Ben said without thinking
"Why thank you! I'm glad my fragrance is that noticeable" the insectoid woman said flattered by such a compliment, which just served to confuse the young boy
"I- what? That didn't offended you?" Ben asked as he was sure that no girl would like to be called stinky, that was one of the few things he knew about girls, he would receive a hard slap to the face if he said that to Gwen or any other girl in his school
"Why would I be offended? For Lepidopterrans like me, bad smell is something to be proud! It means we're strong, healthy, and of course, beautiful!" The bug woman explained as she posed herself elegantly as Ben just stared at her with a blank expression, surprised by her alien customs
"Right... Anyways, can I call you... What was that you said? Fragrance? Can I call you that? All the other names I thought weren't very feminine" Ben asked her since the best he could come up with was Stinkfly and he thought that it was a bit insulting to call one of his companions that would fight alongside him something like that, if the watch simply allowed him to transform into those species he would have no problem with calling himself that, but girls were sensitive about such things as his dad had explained when he made the mistake of commenting what he shouldn't, and he thought that it would also apply even if they were aliens
"Hmm... Sure, I'm suppose that works" Fragrance said, the name wasn't something see was practically picky about, she did find odd to call herself the same as one of the many different ways to say smell but she herself couldn't come up with a better one, plus she liked how it had a bit of finesse to it
"Great, let's get to level up together! But first..." Ben said as he opened the status menu and went to the shield tap, seeing he unlocked a Lepidopterran series of shields

"Awesome! Flight!" Ben exclaimed ecstatic from such a thing, one of the items of his super hero bucket list that he could take off, he equipped the shield and felt a little sting on his back, he looked and saw a pair of wings similar to Fragrance now on his back
"Alright! Ultra Ben, flying off!" Ben shouted as the wings in his back started flapping more and more rapidly as he started to get up, he was ecstatic before he started to lose control
"Whoa! Whoa!" Ben said as he got up in the air but was incredibly off balance, with his waving of his arms and legs not helping him in the slightest as he kinda flew around in a chaotic manner all over the small clearance
"Hahaha! You're like a grub that just got his wings! Adorable!" Fragrance said as she looked at the boy who was still trying to adjust himself "need assistance?"
"I got this! I got this!" Ben said as he was sure that he was starting to get the hang of it, as he looked up ahead to see a tree that he was about to hit, which he did "Oof!"
"Ouch..." Ben said as he fell on to his back, Fragrance walking up to him to see if he was hurt, with the boy feeling like he was about to throw up "You know... Maybe you can give me some lessons later, when the world stops spinning..."
After spending most of the ten minutes he had with Fragrance recovering from a minor concussion, Ben decided to let learning how to fly for another day as he still had more alien companions to meet. The next alien Ben selected had the icon as a face with a strangely shaped head and large eyes with rectangular pupils, when he slammed the watch and was bathed in pink glow, he saw... Nothing, there was no one there in front of him like all the other times, he looked at his sides and back to see if they had simply appeared somewhere else but was met with nothing as well
"Huh? Are they invisible or is the watch broken?" Ben asked as he scratched the side of his head, being unable to find the companion his watch was supposed to summon
"I'm down here you big dummy!" A high pitched voiced called out from beneath him, Ben looked to finally see what type of heroine his watch had summoned and he was surprised
This summoned heroine was a grey-skinned, frog-like, bipedal alien that seemed only a few inches tall with large pink eyes, which have rectangular pupils and horizontal eyelids. She had short black hair with part of it tied back into a ponytail, two thin grey tendrils were poking out from her hair. She wore a dark pink shirt with a black stripe in the middle connecting to a suit collar, she had a white belt around her waist. She wore a black skirt and a pair of long black stockings that had holes for her long grey fingers to come out. She had black finger less gloves with white circles on the back. The watch symbol was on her back since it didn't seemed to have shrink to match her size
"Whoa, you're small, like waaaay small!" Ben exclaimed as he bent down to see her better, he didn't imagine having a companion the size of one of his action figures
"We Galvans don't rely on size for our survival, but our brains! Something your primate brain wouldn't begin to understand!" she exclaimed loudly as she seemed offended by his remark, the boy would be insulted by it if he wasn't already used to being called such things by his bullies or even cousin
"Geez, you got a big mouth for someone your size" Ben said as he poked her head with his index finger, he wondered how was so much attitude packed inside such a tiny body
"I'll let you know that I'm taller than the average Galvan, I'm 7'2 inches!" She shouted proudly as she slapped away his finger, doing a little pout in annoyance
"Gosh, you remind me of my cousin" Ben said as he looked at the side, it was like arguing with Gwen all over again, although he could tolerate this alien companion way more than his cousin due to their size difference giving him a advantage if she ever tries to hit him, unless she had some power to change that, which was actually a good start to conversation
"What's your powers?" Ben asked her and the Galvan actually seemed to ease up a bit as she had a more happy expression on her face
"Well, my set of abilities includes: Enhanced Intelligence, Technological Expertise, Small Space Maneuvering, Enhanced Jumping, Enhanced Reflexes, Underwater Breathing, Wall Scaling, Long Prehensile Tongue, Sharp Teeth, Linguistic Intelligence and..." The Galvan girl rambled on and on about all of the interesting abilities her species had, Ben was glad that was enjoying this because he wasn't, it was like watching a extra boring nature documentary for him
"So nothing good for fighting monsters? You're just super duper smart?" Ben said as that's the most relevant piece of information he got from her lecture was that her species wasn't suited for combat in any way
"... Yes, but intellect can surpass any obstacles with the right tools!" The Galvan replied very irritated as she then pointed at him "And it's not like you can say anything about the manner of fighting monsters when you're the support!"
"Whatever, let's see what your shield does" Ben said as he opened the shield tab and looked at the unlocked shield

"Shrinking? That's kinda of useful" Ben said as he could already think on how much he could use this ability to sneak in to places, shame that they don't have movies so he could enter without paying to watch a horror flick. He focused his attention back to the alien girl
"So, I could go ahead and grind some levels while you stay on my shoulder. But I wanted to use this day to get to know you and the others better" Ben explained as he sat down and kept eye contact with the Galvan woman before cleaning his throat and stretching out a hand to her
"My name is Ben, and yours? If you don't have one I'm sure I can come up with something" Ben suggested as the Galvan girl gave some thought into the matter before she snapped her fingers and looked at Ben with a confident expression
"... I shall be referred to as Lambda of the Galvan! That has a nice ring to it" she said very proud of the name she chose, Ben wondered if that name had any meaning
"Lambda? Alright then... What do you wanna talk about?" Ben asked her as he honestly didn't have many topics to talk about that weren't too boyish for someone who clearly had interest similar to his cousin, nerdy stuff
"There's a lot of things I would like to discuss, but you're not intelligent enough to be a good chatting partner..." Lambda said as she thought about what to discuss with Ben, who was somewhat irritated that she basically called him stupid "... How about one of your interests? That thing you call Sumo Slammers?"
"Oh yeah! That's something I can chat about!" Ben said as he was practically beaming as that was a topic he was a expert in, he didn't even questioned how she knew that as for him, Sumo Slammers was probably popular enough to be known in space
After the long talk with Lambda about who would win, Yshiama or a hundred lions. After the watch recharged, Ben decided to summon the heroine that was represented by a face that resembled some type of mask with fire like hair, he pressed the dial and after a flash of pink, he saw his new companion
She was a woman whose body was composed of a super hot inner plasma body covered by dark reddish brown volcanic rocks, her feet have a slight oval-like design with only two toes and one back toe and she had somewhat large hands with bridged wrists. While she had a sort of grey collar with the watch symbol on it on her neck that helped her head resemble a volcano which generates a fiery hair-like aura that covers her head, leaving her mask-like face visible with no nose, ears, or pupils.
"Whoa..." Ben muttered as he briefly admired the heroine in front of him, she was probably the coolest looking one he has seen so far, though the sudden heat caught him a bit by surprise, it was like standing close to a campfire
"Hey" she simply said as she waved a hand to him that caught the boy out of his trance
"I'm assuming you can shoot fire?" Ben asked as he received a nod as a response as the flaming woman lifted a hand and created a fire ball in the palm of her hand
"Absorb it, amplify it, reshape it, you name it, as long as it involves fire I can do it" she said as she demonstrated that control by shaping the flame into a cube then a butterfly before dispelling it
"Cool... What's your name?" Ben asked as the flame girl was about to say something before stopping herself as she suddenly began to think
"It should be easy for you to remember, right? Hmm..." She brainstormed a bit before snapping her fingers, causing a tiny blazes to pop out from the act "Pyra, does that sound good? "
"It's perfect, now let's go toast some monsters and... Oh wait!" Ben said as he almost forgot to check the shield he unlocked from summoning Pyra, as he went through the menu and checked it

"Fire blasts! Now we're talking!" Ben immediately equipped the shield as his arms and shoulders became just like Pyra's but the magma rocks in his arms were a more darker red than her's and his the glowing plasma had a less strong glow to it. Ben made a fire ball in his hand with a happy grin on his face. He heard the rustling of leaves and sticks as he looked at the direction of the sound to see a group of mushroom-like creatures bouncing around, he prepared his hand as if he was going to throw and a baseball and threw it at the monsters, causing a small explosion of flames as the fireball failed to hit its targets that fled after the attack
"Hey! Careful with that! You can cause a forest fire!" Pyra warned him as a pyronites flames were much more dangerous than a ten year old could ever imagine
"No worries, what can a simple fire ball do?" Ben said as he looked at her before he felt the smell of something burning, he turned around to see that the fire that was made by his Heatblast had spread to some trees and was starting to grow
After Pyra absorbed the fire he caused and scolded him for not being careful, she taught him the basics of fire safety before her ten minutes ended. After the watch recharged, Ben selected in a face with messy hair and a prominent under bite with two tusks on her mouth, the face plate then slid open as a cylindrical core came out and Ben immediately slapped it
In a bright flash of pink, the boy opened his eyes to see a tall woman in front of him standing on all fours like a dog, she had very messy orange that reached down to her waist with various rectangular spines coming out in all directions, she had bangs that completely covered her eyes, her skin was a dark tan color, her mouth had teeth very sharp and defined and her bottom jaw sticks out of her mouth a little bit. Her most interesting feature was her arms and legs, as those resembled those of a wild beast as they were big and hairy, she only had four fingers in each hand and three toes on each foot, with black squared nails and with more of those spines coming out from her fur. She was wearing a skin tight, sleeveless black jumpsuit with some white details and the watch symbol slightly above her chest made apparent by a white outline around it, she also had a open jacket of a dark pink color, with some black details and white fur collar
"Whoa, talk about wild style!" Ben exclaimed as he looked at the beastial girl as she seemed almost like a predator "Who are you?"
"Raaaghhh!" She responded with a animalistic growl, Ben was confused by why she barked at him, even more when he realized that he understood what she said completely even though it was just a growl
"You're a Vulpimancer from Vulpin? Then... I will call you Mancy!" Ben said as he had other names in the ready I'm case she didn't like it, like Vul, huntress or Besta the Spanish word for beast
"WRRRUUUR RUARR" Mancy howled as she approved of the name, before her nose picked up a scent, black lines in her neck similar to gills started to vibrate and then tense up as she looked up towards a tree, she growled before jumping at the tree with incredible agility, as she started to run away after something
"Hey! Wait up!" Ben said as he went after the Vulpimancer woman, doing his best to keep up with her as she jumped and swinged from tree to tree with incredible ease as if she was a monkey "Why are you running?"
"GAARRHHH UURGH!" Mancy roared as Ben goes wide eyed in confusion at what she said
"Enemy? Where?" Ben asked but got no answer as Mancy continued to run after the mysterious threat she felt. Ben had to stop by a tree to catch his breath for a second, he just couldn't come close to her speed of movement
"Man, how do you keep up with a girl that jumps around like a monkey?" Ben asked himself as he then looked at the shield in his eyes and a idea came to his head "by matching their game!" He exclaimed as he quickly went and equiped the Vulpimancer shield that he unlocked

[Skill: Senses of Vulpin: by closing your eyes, all of your senses become finely attuned and capable of detecting stuff that would be missed by a normal human]

"Alright! Let's do this!" Ben said as he prepared and jumped a height he knew he wasn't able to before as he started to try and mimic the movements he saw Mancy do, as he swung around branches and leapt from tree tops a bit sluggish, almost falling at point but always saving it in the last minute as he continued to follow the Vulpimancer woman
Eventually, Mancy leapt and pounced onto something as she fell and rolled in the ground, the minor scratches were nothing as she positioned herself on top of something, as the mysterious enemy was finally forced to reveal themselves as they started to become visible, the spell they used to become invisible becoming undone now that they were hit, revealing a shadow ninja
"Raaaghhh! Raaaghhh!" Mancy roared at the shadow, demanding answers but her threats of violence weren't quite able to be understand by the ninja that just stayed silent as both Vulpimancer and ninja's attention were grabbed by the sounds that were coming their way
"I'm coming! Wait for me!" Ben's voice called out as the shadow takes the opportunity to do a couple of hand signals as in a puff of smoke they are turned into a measly usapil as Ben approached them
"... That's the enemy you were talking about? That's just a normal mob"
"R-r-rrggghhh! Urrgh!" Mancy tried to explain but she wasn't articulating her words the best and was failing to mention that the shadow had shape shifted since in her senses told her the shadow still looked the same since whatever illusion the shadow had used only affected the vision not the other senses like touch or smell
"Just wrap it up and we can go and fight others like it without a frantic chase" Ben said as he turned around and walked away. Mancy looked at the shadow as she saw that it was now replaced by a piece of wood, she looked around trying to detect them with her senses but the shadowy ninja seemed to have gotten to far away, she mumbled angrily before going to join Ben's side

Since Ben is the one naming the aliens, I tried to make the names he give the aliens be something a ten year old would come up with. If you guys have any suggestions for the names of the other aliens or better names than the ones I made, as well as personality traits, please leave a review
I'm going to be honest, I kinda of want to replace Upgrade in the roster since his main power of fusing with technology doesn't really come to play in a fantasy setting like this, he can still be unlocked later
So I'm asking you readers, which of these aliens should replace upgrade? (Do note that cannonbolt and wildvine aren't here because I already plan on them getting added later in their own chapter).
