All the blonde felt was restlessness. She needed to get out of her apartment, if just to get away from the oppressive silence that seemed to follow her everywhere she now went. She needed to be active. Needed to do something. Lucy grabbed her running shoes and headed out the door, not entirely sure as to where she would go but hoped that a nice long run would help clear her mind. The air outside was crisp and cool, a welcome relief from the average air of her apartment. As she began the jog down an empty street adjacent to her main, Lucy noticed the shadows that consumed the sidewalk. It was a lot like how her own thoughts felt jumbled by some invisible hand.

She kept running as she took in the sights around her. The sky was a nice shade of blue with clouds moving through every now and then. The sun was high up in the sky bringing heat down to earthland. It made her feel warm even though her insides felt cold. Her thoughts wandered as she ran, feet hitting the pavement in smooth strides. It was hard to accept that just a few weeks ago she had been in a completely different mood. Joyful, carefree, and surrounded by friends and family. She felt loved. Now, it felt like everything had changed. She wasn't sure who she was anymore or what she wanted from life.

Fairy Tail was gone. Master had disbanded her home and before the Celestial Spirit summoner knew it, so were all her friends. That included Natsu and Happy. Her mind drifted back to the time when they were all still together. They had gone on so many adventures and taken down all enemies. They were a team. Thats what she thought. No longer was that the case. They too were absent in her life now. Her pace slowed as she took in a deep breath. She wanted to cry and just let out all the pain. But she wouldn't. She couldn't let herself give in to that. Not now. She had to remain strong. One day their family would be whole again. When that day came...she would greet them with the warmest smile she could muster. For all of their sakes. But mostly her own.

Author Note: I know this was one was rather short but I kind of ran out of ideas for it. My next story will be longer I promise! Thank you for reading. Goodbye!
