Carla was relieved when she saw Lisa, sat alone, at a table at the far corner of the Bistro, away from prying eyes.
'Hey' Carla said quietly, Lisa raising her head to meet Carla's eyes.
'Hey'.
'About earlier..' Carla began but Lisa cut her off.
'It's fine, look we can forget it ever happened' Lisa said as Carla mustered a faint smile.
'Thing is.. I don't think I can.. or even want to' Carla admitted as Lisa cocked her head to the side.
'What changed your mind?' Lisa asked as Carla leant back into her chair, trying to gather her thoughts.
'You' she said, softly, allowing herself to relax as she locked eyes with Lisa.
'Oh yeah?' Lisa spoke, her voice lowered an octave sending a shiver down Carla's spine.
'Look, I've never.. felt like this before. I've never had feelings for another woman' Carla said as Lisa smiled.
'What can I say, that's the effect I have on people' Lisa said as Carla chuckled and made a disapproving face.
'I've always been so sure, so.. at ease with who I am, this isn't something I expected.. or wanted' Carla admitted.
'Are you embarrassed? You can be honest you know' Lisa said, fiddling with her fingers as she desperately wanted to take Carla's hands.
'No.. maybe, I don't know. I'm just.. This isn't something I'm familiar with, you know, I might seem confident and all that, but beneath it all, I'm just another human being with feelings too. But being.. sexy and flirtatious, that's come easy to me. It's part of who I am, and yet now, I suddenly feel inexperienced and.. that isn't something I like' Carla said, biting her lip.
'You know, you didn't feel inexperienced yesterday' Lisa said, allowing her foot to gentle press against Carla's calf beneath the table.
'Oh, no?' Carla said, feeling a heat building within her.
'In fact, I'd say you seemed right at home' Lisa said as Carla caught her breath.
'Being serious for a moment, Carla I understand what you're saying, and I am not going to push you to do anything you don't want, but I'll tell you this, I like you, a lot, and I think you like me too' Lisa said watching Carla's expression closely.
'I do' Carla breathed.
'Then let me show you how good this could be'.
