"Ah, thanks, Husk," Angel sighed, "That was delicious." "I told you," Husk chuckled, picking up Angel's plate and utensils and washing them in the sink, "So, what do you think? Pretty cozy, don't you think?"

"Cozy? Husk, this place is a fucking penthouse! I don't get why you're bumming around the Hazbin Hotel when you've got this place to crash at." Angel chuckled, looking around Husk's suite with an almost child-like excitement. The kitchen wasn't very big but had all the necessities, including a full-sized refrigerator, an oven and a coffee maker.

Once Husk was finished with the dishes, he led Angel over to the living area, which was easily the highlight of what he'd seen so far; it was fully furnished with a medium-sized flat screen, a beautiful scarlet sofa and matching armchair, heart-themed side table lamps and a pool table setup. Husk let out a sigh as he sat down on the sofa, stretching his wings out and his arms above his head before folding them and leaning back, patting the sofa cushion next to him to invite Angel to sit down. Angel giggled and bounced over, settling down next to Husk on the sofa, smiling as Husk leaned against him, resting his furry head against his shoulder and letting out a soft purr.

"So, after this, we going to head down to the kitchens to get started on the cake?" Angel asked. Husk nodded and said, "Yep. God, I'm so excited for this. I haven't gotten to bake anything in a few years. Well, except for maybe the odd potato. I'm not exactly the best cook, but baking… that's one of the few things I'd like to think I am good at. It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun." "So, what is it about baking that you enjoy the most?" Angel asked, "Is it the baking itself or the part where you get to eat what you baked?"

"Hmm… I'm not really sure," Husk mused, "I guess I like both, just for different reasons. Don't get me wrong, I love sweets, and I love getting to eat them. But… I've got a lot of great memories attached to some of my favorite recipes. And even just to baking in general. So, I guess whenever I bake, it reminds me of those happy times… of people I loved. But, not in a way that makes me sad; it's more like I'm honoring their memory… our memories." Husk chuckled, running his claws through his hair and shaking his head, saying, "God… that sounded so fucking sappy didn't it? Alastor was right, I really am a hopeless romantic."

"No way, Husk." Angel said, "I don't think so at all. I think that's beautiful… did your wife… you said she loved to cook and stuff. So, did she," "Oh yeah," Husk chuckled, "Yasmine was a fantastic chef. She really enjoyed cooking but she loved to bake. Cakes, pies; she probably could've become one of those famous TV chefs or something if she… well, like I said, we were never hungry."

Angel's smile fell a little as he reached around and pulled Husk close, rubbing his shoulder to offer him a little comfort. Husk took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as he leaned into Angel's embrace. A tiny smile crept across the cat demon's face as he reached over and interlocked his fingers with Angel's. The two sat there, enjoying each other's company for a few moments in silence.

"Well, we'd better head down to the kitchen," Husk sighed, "Come on, if we hurry we might be able to come back and shoot some pool before it gets too late and we have to head back." "You mean it, Husk?" Angel asked excitedly, "Honestly, though, I'd be content just getting a glimpse of your bedroom." Husk's cheeks flushed as Angel leaned over, resting his head on top of the cat's and said, "You did mention you had a very comfy mattress here. I'd love a chance to get to find out just how comfy."

"Ugh, Angel… please." Husk sighed. "I'm serious, Husk," Angel insisted, "Just spending the late afternoon together… snuggled up with a little TV and some of that yummy cheesecake." Husk hummed and sighed, saying, "Well… I'm not so sure about tonight, Angel." "Okay, well… what about this weekend? Say, after Hazel's birthday party?" Angel asked. Husk gave a contented smile, nodding as he said, "Hmmm… yeah. I think that could be arranged. Now come on," Husk paused, smiled at Angel as he stood up, offered Angel his hand and said, "We got a cake to bake."
