I am bored so lets get a new chapter going on!

Clay was happily sleeping, Peril resting up against him. The warmth that came off her scales making his sleep almost as pleasant as sleeping in the mud.

His eyes shot open as Kinkajou ran down the halls shouting, "Anyways, I'll leave ya to it!"

Three moons, did Kinkajou now know the meaning of quiet?

He felt Peril waking up next to him as well, probably waking up from the shouting as well.

Peril started to chuckle, "Seems like the day has started early even on our day off."

Clay re-closing his eyes, nodded, "Kinkajou is just always so excited..." Clay muttered.

"I am not bothered that she is always happy, that's a good thing, I just wish she would be a bit quieter in the morning and let me just enjoy the sleep," Clay muttered sleepily.

Peril rumbled, moving slightly, "I can't go back to sleep, once I wake up I can't go back," she stood up slowly, untangling her tail from Clay's.

Clay's eyes reopened to look up at his slightly glowing girlfriend, "Looks like I have to get up since my heated blanket is gone..."

Clay couldn't see Perils blush from her glowing red scales, but he could tell what he said made her flustered, making him smile.

Clay got up as he stretched, "Well, what do you want to do today?

Peril shuffled around a bit while thinking, "Not sure..." want to go hunting or go somewhere?" Peril asked him.

Clay perked up at that, "I could go for something to eat..."

Peril laughed as she opened the door to their room, walking down the hall as Clay followed her.

Peril and Clay walked into the main room where Moon, Kinkajou, Icicle, and Winter were already up.

Kinkajou was petting her pet sloth, happily hugging it.

Moon was holding a stone cup of coffee, looking like she more than likely just woke up, probably from the same reason as Peril and Clay.

And seeing Icicle and Winter up first was not unusual at all.

"Morning guys..." Clay greeted the group.

Winter nodded, "Glory and Deathbringer already left for the day, said they were going to go and visit Glory's mom."

Clay almost groaned at hearing that Deathbringer was with her but held it back, "Thanks for letting me know Winter,"

Winter nodded his head, "Welcome..."

"Me and Peril are going to go out hunting, what's your plans for the day?" Clay asked the white dragon.

"Me and the sand-snorter were going to go train for a while," Winter answered.

"Try to not cause any avalanches, that's my thing," Clay joked as he and Peril left their home.

Winter snorted at the joke, "No promises."

Clay and Peril took off, diving down the mountainside. They both leveled off, gliding above the trees.

"So, what do you want to go for?" Clay asked Peril as they flew.

Peril was quiet for a bit, "How about a bear?"

Clay perked up a bit, "A bear, aren't they pretty rare?" he asked, "That would take almost all day to track one down."

Peril flew up to him with a smile, "I have no issue spending all day with you..."

Clay gave her a grin back and started to fly along the base of the mountain, smelling the air around him.

It took them about an hour before Clay ever smelled anything, not that he was arguing.

Clay landed on the ground with Peril right behind him, "I think there is one around here..." Clay said while smelling around.

Clay followed the trail while Peril followed behind him with a content smile, she enjoyed hunting. But, she knew that Clay enjoyed this much more than she did, she actually gets more fun out of it by just watching Clay than actually hunting.

If Clay was having fun now, imagine if he had some of his own dragonets to teach one day...

Clay's ears perked up, "I think it's above us on the mountains. Usually, bears will go higher up to get away from the forest floor where they feed to keep their sent off the ground."

Peril nodded her head, "So do you want me to or you?"

Clay shook his head, "It won't take long," He flapped up into the air leaving Peril to think by herself for a bit.

The last couple of months for the group as in a whole have been... a bit hectic...

With the world still not being used to peace and trying to get all the tribes to start re-forging relationships, running around capturing gangs and criminals, introducing some of the smaller towns to re-join kingdom funding to help grow their infrastructure... its been a lot and not a lot of time to just be with Clay for just the sake of being with him.

Peril sighed, she wanted to practice more in her newfound hobby in glass making but life seems to always like to get in the way of having fun.

Clay dove back down the mountain with a large ball of brown fur in his talons, "A large male, this will be able to feed a bunch of us!" Clay said with a smile.

Of course, it was all worth it for the moments like this.

"Good job!" Peril said smiling happily, "Looks like my boyfriend still knows how to catch food."

Clay stood up straight jokingly, "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I couldn't even provide food."

Peril walked forward and rubbed up next to him, "A really large and handsome one..."

Clay smiled and brushed her back, "Let's get this bear back home, we need to dress it before the flies get to it."
