Percy was still thinking over what his father had told him, when an IM from Nico popped up.
Percy answered it, and Nico said "Have you heard that our fathers made a deal to marry us together.?"
Percy nodded, "Bloody meddling fathers."
Nico hummed in agreement. "My father has lost a crown"
"So has mine, shall we work together, Neeks?"
Nico let out a dry laugh and nodded. "Yes, we shall."
The IM was cut off. Both flashed to the hill of CHB, a place full of many memories for the both of them, good and bad.
Both looked up the hill, before walking up.
Leo, surprisingly, was the first to spot them. He walked over and greeted them. Percy smiled and went in for a hug, while Nico simply nodded to him.
"Hey you two!" He said when he pulled away from Percy. "Long time no see."
"Busy being gods and having meddling fathers" Nico said; Percy rolled his eyes.
Leo looked at them. "The rebuilding of the camp is coming along slowly. But we are getting there."
Percy nodded, "I wish we could help more, but we can't due to the ancient law bullshit."
The latino elf nodded, "We understand Perce. Your gods now. I can take your leadership. But it won't be the same without you both."
The two gods nodded, looking around at the rebuilding. "We must leave Leo, we have to go search for something our fathers have lost. We need to speak to Chiron." Nico said.
Chiron was in his office.
Percy and Nico went to Chiron's office and knocked on the door before they walked in.
Chiron looked at them "What can I do for you my boys?"
Percy smiled as he sat down, "Chiron, our fathers have told us they have lost the crowns to their kingdoms and they want us to find them. Any ideas on where they could have lost them?"
Chiron stood up, thinking. "Best bet would be to try Greece. Maybe try and find where entries to their old palaces used to be or the original Mount Olympus."
Nico and Percy both nodded, thanking their mentor before they left the office.
As they left the office, Leo was standing on the porch, "See you later, my lords."
The two young gods rolled their eyes, Nico flipped Leo off, before with a bright light the two left.
Percy and Nico arrived at the base of mount Olympus. "So this is the base of the original home of the gods" Percy mused.
Nico shrugged, "We need to get up there, maybe best to teleport up."
The two teleported up, into the center of the old ruined throne room.
Percy looked around, and started to walk around. He ran his hand across the old debris, from pillars and thrones, the floor was ruptured. Everything was in ruin. It was hard to believe that this used to be the home of the gods.
Nico was also walking around, "So this is where the mighty Olympians once sat before they moved."
Percy nodded, moving rubble around. "I don't think the crowns are here."
Nico nodded, "It's just so much rubble."
"Then where could they be?" He said out loud to nobody.
The old throne room didn't answer, with not even a breeze to stir up any dust to reveal hidden notes to messages of any kind. The two godlings searched what they could, but of course the rubble was heavy and so old that the place threatened to cease existing should anything go out of place.
On Top of the center throne a note appeared. It read; 'Search for palaces long forgotten, their you shall find what you seek -Unknown'
Nico picked it up and read it out, "Palaces? Could be our parents' old ones before they moved.."
Percy seemed to agree. "Possibly, worth a look."
"Worth a look indeed…" Nico nodded, frowning hard at the letter; another unknown sender…
"Unknown senders….Someone is fucking messing with our lives again." Percy muttered.
"Or helping." Nico shrugged, although that was unlikely. "Bit of both?"
The two stared a bit longer at the letter before Nico folded it and put it into his pocket.
There was something stirring at the bottom of the ocean. Something angry and something powerful.
That something was Kymopoleia, although she was a lump of godly magic at the moment; her form pulled together bits and pieces of herself until she was solid, her rage taking the form of angry storms and waters above.
There was nothing to get in her way, not now that she was reborn again.
Scorn her once? Shame on her.
Scorn her twice? Shame her, she was blind to what was to be seen.
But thrice? No, she would not let that happen again.
Kymopoleia screamed in her waters, her birthright, and felt power draw deep into her blood.
Perseus never stood a chance.
A hooded figure stood on the edge near to her.. "Kymopoleia, our destiny. Our time is soon, Sister."
"I know. I can't wait to force father and Perseus to fade and take their thrones, my dear sister."
"Not too fast." Said the figure. "Of course I cannot either, but we must be quiet."
Kymopoleia sighed. "It was my plan."
"You're of the storms, fast and strong; I have no doubt you will make a great ruler, sister."
"You insult me."
"I have done nothing of the sort. Now, the plan?"
"The plan. Do we have any more siblings wanting revenge?" She asked
The hooded figure gave a smirk, "Lets just say, father will not see this tidal wave coming."
The two seemed to share a cackle. "Good. Very good."
"Our siblings are waiting to meet you again Kym."
Percy looked at Nico, "should we meet with our parents and seek the info of where the palaces used to be?"
Nico nodded, "together or alone?"
"Together will be better I think," Percy said.
Meanwhile, on Olympus. Kratos, a demigod son, had just finished killing Ares, in a brutal way. He spat on Ares' now permanently faded body. "That is for my wife and daughter." He then made his way to the throne room and sat on the war gods' throne which seemed to shift and accept Kratos as the new god.
Percy and Nico flashed to the underworld first. However, both their parents were there. Which made it easier for the young gods to question their fathers.
But as they approached their fathers, they spotted a 6'0ft person, red tattoo covering his whole body, asking if he could join Hades and Poseidon's cause to take down Olympus.
The two watched listening, the figure spoke "I am Kratos, son of Zeus. The new war god. I killed Ares for making me kill my wife and daughter in a temple dedicated to Athena."
The two elder gods looked at each other, talking between themselves. "Fine, but you must not harm anyone else until this war has started."
Kratos nodded, before leaving. The two young gods walked up to their parents.
"What was that about?" Percy asked
"He killed Ares and took his throne" Hades spoke, then he asked "have you found the crowns yet?"
The boys shook their heads, "No, we searched the old mountain but nothing but rubble. A letter fell suggesting we should seek out your old palaces before you moved to the west."
Poseidon spoke "For mine, search by the Aegean sea. And for my brothers there is a cave by Cape Matapan, search that and you should find the crowns."
The two nodded and left again.
