Ginny Weasley/Potter was feeling uncomfortable. More uncomfortable than she had ever felt in her life. She was nine months pregnant, ready to kill anyone who would dare disturb her while she was working on her quidditch article for the Daily Prophet. Unknowing of this her three year old son James entered her room screaming excitedly about the new product he had gotten from his uncle George's joke shop. Ginny was ready to shut him down but stopped suddenly.

James laughed and said, "mom! you peed on the bed". Ginny's eyes had gone wide and she struggled to get up "go call your dad Jamie". With a confused expression James walked out went downstairs to the kitchen where Harry was sitting sorting out some official documents. "Dad come quick, mom is calling you"

"What happened? Is she okay?"

"um I don't know.. but she wet the bed" he answered awkwardly.

Harry knew exactly what had happened.. his wife was in labor for the second time. His heart thumped against his chest with mixed emotions of worry, bewilderment, and happy anticipation. As he was dashing upstairs, someone fell in from the fireplace in the living room. It was Ron. "Harry, is Hermione here? I thought she went shopping with Fleur but- "

"Dunno. Ginny's water just broke!"

"Bloody hell", he said but he was smiling all the same. "I'll go call the others.. meet you at St. Mungo's then!"

Harry proceeded to assist his wife downstairs. He grabbed the car key and Ginny sat in the front seat. Halfway through the ride Harry realized they had forgotten James at home! He quickly sent a patronus to Ron about James and continued driving. When they reached St. Mungo's it was very busy, the whole waiting area was filled with patients and family members. But as soon as Harry entered with Ginny the crowd seemed to disperse to give them space. Harry was used to the VIP status by now and at this moment he kinda felt grateful for it. He got Ginny a private room and by then her contractions had begun.

The Weasleys were gathered in the lobby all chatting excitedly as they waited for the birth of the new Potter. Hermione came in running hurriedly a bit later.. "Did she give birth yet?" "Not yet, relax. Where have you been?", asked Ron

"Oh just some people trying to smuggle illegal ingredients.. it was a whole mess I had to handle. Anyway, where's Harry?"

"Gone to bring some ice chips for Ginny"

Rose, James, Teddy, Victorie, Roxanne and Dominique were gathered in a corner. Ted and Vicky were talking about how they would be starting their first year at Hogwarts soon. Rose and Jamie were jealously listening to them and wailed, "We wanna come too". Victorie chuckled and said bracingly "You will get to come too after a few years". Roxy and Dominique were playing with a fake wand shooting sparks of red and green. The adults were murmuring.

Harry came running down the corridor with a cup and went into room 271. He was out of breath which had little to do with all the running he did downstairs to get the ice chips, after all he was an auror and they had to be in fit shape, but more to do with the fact that his second child was about to be born. He was nowhere near as anxious as he had been when James was coming into the world but needless to say he was equally happy and emotional.

He watched as his wife put an ice chip in her mouth and the next moment clutched her stomach and gritted her teeth as another contraction rolled in. "Oh don't look at me that way, I am not dying, I did give birth before you know" said Ginny. Harry replied with a touch of exasperation, "Well I am worried.. how would you feel if you were in my place? It's hard to see your wife suffer" Just then Dr. Misha walked in, "Everything looks good. You are 3 centimeters dilated. It's gonna take a while". Ginny groaned. Harry held her hand and they smiled at each other.

For the next few hours the Weasleys (and James) waited in the sitting area chattering merrily. Hermione and Angelina were discussing the recent ongoings in the ministry of magic. Hermione worked in the department of international magical cooperation and Angelina worked in the department of magical law enforcement. They had had a bad week owing to the uproar over new evidence that illegal potion ingredients were being traded between Britain and Sweden.

Meanwhile Ron and Fleur were trying to calm Dominique down as she had started crying when her sister Victorie told her she would end up in slytherin if she kept hanging out with that boy. That boy, Levi, the one who lived near shell cottage was the descendent of a long line of slytherin purebloods. Victorie had loathed him ever since the day he called Teddy a 'werewolf baby' when they were all playing quidditch (or atleast a kid version of it) on their toy brooms. It wasn't much of an accusatory or a prejudiced remark, Levi in his intentions was just trying to state the obvious, but Vicky took offense. Dominique on the other hand was utterly impressed by Levi's flying skills. She saw him as her senpai and would hang out with him talking about not only quidditch, but Hogwarts and the war and their family and anything that would crop up, for hours on end. Sometimes they even complained about how their older siblings acted like they were their bosses (Levi had an elder brother Leo who was in his second year at hogwarts). One of those times Victorie overheard them and was even more mad at Levi for 'trying to turn her younger sister against her'.

George and Bill were playing chess with Teddy and Rosy on Bill's side and Jamie and Roxy on George's. George was losing spectacularly. James was already starting to get bored and was trying to sneak up on Rose from the back and prick a balloon near her ear. Rosy had always been a bit sensitive to loud noises, something that had worried Hermione and Ron before but was now attributed to her reserved personality once they had made sure it wasn't autism. Just then out came a very disheveled but jubilant Harry Potter smiling so wide his face might've broken yet tears were threatening to fall from his misty eyes. "He's here. My baby boy", he said in a hushed voice barely above a whisper.

Everyone tried to go all at once in room 271 and after a bit of shoving and pushing they were inside, looking at the face of a very red Ginny (her face almost matching her hair). Sweat poured down her forehead and tears leaked down her brown eyes which were wide open. It was something Harry had noticed and known since they started dating that her eyes widened when she was experiencing any sort of extreme emotion and so he had told her many times and had reminded her how beautiful her brown eyes looked.

"Oh Ginny congratulations!", Hermione hugged her tight. Everyone started congratulating her all at once and in the midst of the chaos Jamie's voice wasn't being heard so he had to shout, "Mom!". Harry half laughed half sniffed as he picked up Jamie and put him in his mother's lap. He looked a bit pale and tired but happy all the same, "Where's my brother?". Ginny replied, "Oh Jamie the healers have taken him for a quick check up, he will be here soon". Harry announced that his baby's name was going to be 'Albus Severus Potter', which earned an annoyed expression from Ron and an eye roll from Hermione, who said, "Are you sure? Are you completely fully perfectly sure?". They had had this argument many times, Ron vehemently denying to allow his nephew to have the middle name of a teacher who had tortured them for years, Hermione trying to explain to Harry that she did understand where he was coming from but it wouldn't be fair to Ginny. To that Harry had said, "She is fine with it, seriously. We have discussed it over". Hermione had told him he was being thick and that Ginny was just trying to compromise on his behalf because she knew how much it meant to him but in reality she despised that name. And she was right, Hermione almost always is. Ginny didn't trust herself to argue on this. She knew what she would say and she knew what he would reply and she knew exactly how the fight would go down. She knew Harry had his reasons and she knew she would never understand them. But this is something she just wanted him to have, he had sacrificed a lot for the sake of the greater good... almost sacrificed his life. He had all the right to feel what he felt towards Snape even if she didn't understand that feeling at all.

They were all sitting in a circle surrounding Ginny's bed when Arthur Weasley entered the room. "Oh baby! oh god. I am sooo sorry I couldn't make it on time. Where is he, where's my grandson?". Arthur had been in Japan for a conference on 'Incorporation of Muggle inventions'. This was a subject of interest that had spiked up a few years after the war had ended and a new reformation of the ministry had been ongoing. People were more open minded than ever before, as could be the effect of something so psychologically demanding as a war. New ideas were being welcomed and one of them was to try and transform muggle technology in such a way that it could work in the wizarding world. Arthur ofcourse took immediate interest in it. He was supposed to return from Japan a day later but had rushed back home when he got an owl from Bill that Ginny was going to give birth to his sixth grandchild.

Just then Dr. Misha entered the room holding baby Al, followed by a medi-witch. She was smiling but looked oddly.. nervous, was it? Harry and Ginny exchanged a glance. Ginny took Al in her arms and kissed his forehead softly while Harry stroked Al's hair which were as red as Ginny's. Come to think of it, he looked almost like Ron.. a mini little Ron. Everyone goo-ed and gaa-ed at him, the kids standing on tiptoes to get a better look at their cousin. "He is too small!", exclaimed James, "How will he play quidditch with me on his toy broom?". Harry chuckled and said, "He will grow up before you know it Jamie". Ginny added, "I love you both so much you know that?". James smiled and replied, "I know".

This beautiful family moment was however broken when Dr. Misha cleared her throat. She looked like the last thing she wanted to do was to tell them exactly what she had come to tell them. She closed her eyes for a brief second and then opened them, "We ran all the standard spells on him to check if everything is alright..". Harry and Ginny exchanged a horrified glance but the healer went on quickly, "everything IS alright. Just something you might wanna know.. your baby boy is a squib".
