Chapter 15: Training for the Grand Magical Games.
The sun shining through the bay window in Jay's bedroom was what woke him up. Opening his eyes, Jay smiled at the wonderful sight in front of him. Still peacefully asleep was Yukino, she was cuddled into his chest as she slept. Smiling at the sight of Yukino sleeping peacefully Jay was content to listen to her steady breathing for a few minutes. While Jay would have liked to let Yukino sleep for as long as she wanted, he knew that they needed to get going.
"Yukino, it's time to get up" stated Jay in a gentle tone while lightly shaking Yukino awake. Yukino slowly opened her eyes, she smiled when the first thing she saw was Jay's radiant smile.
"Good morning beautiful" stated Jay in a loving tone before he leaned forward and placed a sweet kiss on Yukino's forehead. Yukino was gushing with joy at Jay's words, she could get used to waking up like this she thought. Smiling sweetly at Jay, Yukino started to speak.
"Good morning Jay" responded Yukino with a loving smile before she leaned forward and kissed Jay sweetly on the lips. The kiss was short and sweet and would have turned more heated if Jay didn't resist the temptation to continue kissing Yukino. Leaning back from Yukino's sweet lips, Jay started to speak.
"Did you sleep well" asked Jay with a smile. Smiling from ear to ear, Yukino started to speak.
"Yes I did Jay. Sleeping next to you is so calming, I'm so happy that you want me to move in with you" responded Yukino, hardly believing that this sort of happiness was even possible. Giving Yukino the signature Heartfilia smile, Jay started to speak.
"I'm happy also Yukino. Sharing a home with you is a dream come true" responded Jay in a loving tone before he placed another short kiss on Yukino's sweet lips. After the short and loving kiss, Jay leaned back from Yukio and got out of bed. While Jay took a moment to stretch, he continued to speak.
"While I would love to stay in bed with you all day Yukino, we have to get going. You know how mad the guild master will get if we are late" stated Jay with a smile thinking that Jiemma wouldn't excuse being late. Nodding her head, Yukino had to reluctantly agree that it wasn't wise to anger the guild master. Getting out of bed, Yukino started to speak.
"You're right, we can't be late" responded Yukino in somewhat disappointed tone since she wanted to take an easy morning with just her and Jay. Looking at Yukino as she stood in front of him completely naked, Jay had to resist the temptation to be late to the meeting not matter the consequences. Instead of giving into temptation, Jay smiled at Yukino as he started to speak.
"There's no need to sound disappointed Yukino. We are going to spend an entire month training together, just me and you" responded Jay in a loving tone. Smiling warmly at Jay, Yukino started to speak.
"You're right, we have plenty of time" responded Yukino thinking that spending an entire month training with Jay sounded perfect. Closing the short distance between them, Jay caressed Yukino's face as he started to speak.
"And don't forget that after the Grand Magic Games you are moving in where we will wake up every morning in each other's arms" responded Jay in a loving tone, radiating pure joy as he leaned forward and kissed Yukino sweetly on the lips. The kiss was short and sweet but Jay and Yukino were able to effectively communicate their love for each other through the lip lock. Leaning back from Jay's lips but still remaining in his loving embrace, Yukino started to speak.
"I can't wait for that Jay, living with you sounds perfect" responded Yukino in a happy tone. Taking another moment to lean forward and kiss Yukino sweetly on the lips, Jay leaned back from her and stepped away as he started to speak.
"You can have the shower first Yukino while I cook us something to eat. I would love to be in the shower with you but we both know how that would go and we don't have time for that" stated Jay in a flirty tone as he threw on some underclothes before descending the spiral staircase. After about a half hour Jay and Yukino were ready for the day and headed towards the Sabertooth guild hall. After a short walk Jay and Yukino were standing in front of the guild hall and Jay turned his attention towards Yukino as he started to speak.
"By the way Yukino, do you want to make our relationship public with the rest of the guild yet? I have no objections, but I wanted to leave it up to you" asked Jay with a warm smile. Yukino smiled sweetly at Jay, touched that he thought to ask her this question. Taking a moment to squeeze Jay's hand that she was currently holding, Yukino started to speak.
"That's sweet of you to ask Jay. While some people might tease us or treat us differently, I want to be public with you. I'm happy to be with you and I am not afraid to show it" responded Yukino with a sweet and radiant smile. Taking a moment to lean forward and kiss Yukino on the lips, Jay leaned back from her sweet lips as he started to speak.
"I couldn't agree more Yukino, I love you" responded Jay in a loving tone, so happy to have Yukino in his life. Yukino didn't think she was ever going to get tired of hearing Jay say those three words to her, each time he did her heart beat with joy and happiness.
"I love you too Jay" responded Yukino in a loving tone.
"Come on Yukino, let's not keep them waiting" responded Jay in a happy tone. After saying these words Jay and Yukino stepped into the guild hall, hand in hand. The guildhall was mostly empty, it was still very early in the morning. The only other people in the guild hall were Sting and Lector. Sting turned his attention towards Jay and Yukino and smiled at them as he started to speak.
"Geez it's about time you two hooked up" stated Sting with a teasing smile that caused Jay and Yukino to blush. Stopping in front of Sting, Jay started to speak.
"I'm glad our feelings were obvious to everyone but each other" responded Jay with a smile as he glanced over at Yukino who was blushing a deep shade of red.
"It was really funny seeing you two dance around each other. Just make sure you don't lose focus during the games now that you two are all affectionate with each other now" responded Sting. Smiling confidently at Sting, Jay started to speak.
"Don't worry about that. Yukino and I will give the games our all. No matter who we face they will be crushed" responded Jay in a confidant tone. After saying these words their attention was turned towards the rest of the Sabertooth team who walked in with Jiemma leading them. Giving Jay an his signature intense stare down, Jiemma started to speak.
"You will give it your all Jay? I find that amusing considering an interesting piece of information I recently learned about" stated Jiemma in an angry tone. Jay became nervous at these words and what they could mean as he started to speak.
"What information is that" asked Jay hoping that Jiemma wasn't talking about what he feared. Yukino could feel that Jay was nervous about this conversation, and she gave his hand a comforting squeeze to remind him of her silent support. Feeling Yukino squeeze his hand and reminding him of her presence helped soothe Jay's nervousness and he spared a momentary smile towards Yukino as a show of thanks.
"I've learned you haven't been honest with the guild. You've left out an important piece of information regarding your last name haven't you" asked Jiemma in an angry tone. Jay mentally swore to himself, this was what he was afraid about.
"I didn't think my last name mattered" responded Jay before he was cut off by Jiemma.
"YOU DIDN'T THINK?! MAKE NO MISTAKE, THIS IS MY GUILD AND I WILL NOT BE LIED TOO" yelled Jiemma in an angry tone as he used his magic and fired it at Jay. Seeing the magic fly towards him, Jay quickly pushed Yukino away so she wouldn't be hit as well. Grunting in pain, Jay was sent tumbling backwards as he clutched his injured stomach. While the attack was painful, Jay was largely okay if not a little sore. From the corner of his eye Jay could see Yukino give him a worried look as she started to move to his side but Jay gave her silent look to stare put.
"What's going on, what does it matter what Jay's last name is" asked Rouge in a curious tone. Jiemma glared angrily at Jay as he started to speak.
"It matters because Jay's last name is Heartfilia" responded Jiemma in an angry tone.
"Wait Heartfilia as in the once wealthy Heartfilia family" asked Orga in a shocked tone. Sighing tiredly, Jay started to speak.
"Yah that's my family. I didn't tell anyone my last name because I wanted to make it into Sabertooth based on my own merits and not because of my last name" responded Jay, telling the truth and hoping it would alleviate the guild master's anger towards him. Still giving Jay an angry glare, Jiemma started to speak.
"This means that you are related to Lucy Heartfilia of Fairy Tail aren't you" asked Jiemma but his tone of voice telling Jay he already knew the answer. Nodding his head, Jay started to speak.
"That's right, Lucy is my sister" responded Jay in a steady tone.
"That's why you took so long checking out Fairy Tail" responded Sting.
"Yah that's why. When I heard that the Tenrou Team was back I had to go and make sure since Lucy was one of the people that went missing" responded Jay. Again Jiemma fired a blast of magic energy, hitting Jay square in the chest. Falling down onto one knee, Jay grunted in pain as Jiemma started to shout.
"I DON'T CARE IF SHE IS YOUR SISTER! SABERTOOTH DOES NOT GET FRIENDLY WITH THE ENEMY" yelled Jiemma in an angry tone. Taking a moment to steady himself, Jay stood back up as he started to speak.
"If that is what this is all about you have nothing to worry about" responded Jay in a steady tone as he clutched his injured chest. Seeing that he still had everyone's attention, Jay continued to speak.
"It doesn't matter if Lucy is my sister or that she is in Fairy Tail. I am a proud member of Sabertooth and will show no mercy, even if that person is Lucy. When it comes time for the Grand Magic Games, I will crush anyone in my path even if I have to be the one to crush Fairy Tail myself" responded Jay in a determined tone. Jiemma took a moment to glare angrily at Jay before he decided that the conviction in Jay's voice was genuine.
"For you sake I hope that is true Jay. I don't have to remind you or anyone else here what the cost of failure is" responded Jiemma in a serious tone.
Jay along with the rest of the team nodded their heads in understanding. Everyone knew the cost of failure, there was no room for failures in Sabertooth. After Jiemma said these words he started with the official meeting about the Grand Magic Games. After making sure everyone knew to meet in the capital in a month, Jiemma dismissed everyone. Walking out of the guild, Jay and Yukino walked back towards Jay's lighthouse home. Jay and Yukino were silent as they walked through the crowded streets, but Jay could feel Yukino's worry for him as they walked towards his home. Once they were in the privacy of Jay's home, Yukino let her concerns become vocal.
"Are you alright Jay" asked Yukino in a worried tone as Jay leaned against a wall and clutched his injured chest. Jay had taken the full brunt of Jiemma's attack since he didn't want to anger the guild master any further. Giving Yukino what he hoped was a reassuring smile, Jay started to speak.
"Yah I'm fine, just a little sore is all" responded Jay with a somewhat pained smile. Still giving Jay a worried and concerned look, Yukino started to speak.
"Please let me take a look Jay. I want to make sure you are alright" responded Yukino in a concerned tone. Seeing that Yukino wasn't going to let this matter rest, Jay nodded his head as he walked over to his living room couch. Sitting down on the couch, Jay took of his shirt and Yukino had to hold back a gasp as she looked at a nasty bruise on Jay's chest.
"It looks worse than it is Yukino. Trust me when I say physically I feel fine" responded Jay with a smile. While Jay was hurting from the attack, he could take a lot worse so he wasn't seriously injured. Taking a moment to stare at Jay's injury with concern in her eyes, Yukino then went over to her packed bag that was still in Jay's living room. Digging around her bag, Yukino pulled out a jar of ointment and turned her attention back towards Jay as she started to speak.
"This should at least help with the swelling, and it should numb the area" responded Yukino as she sat down next to Jay. Scooping some of the ointment into her hand, Yukino then rubbed it onto Jay's injury. Jay sucked in a breath as Yukino touched his injury which made Yukino pull her hand away and give Jay a worried look as she continued to speak.
"Sorry, did I hurt you" asked Yukino in a worried tone. Shaking his head, Jay started to speak.
"No you didn't Yukino. It's just a little tender right now is all. Please continue, what you were doing was helping" responded Jay. Nodding her head, Yukino started to rub the ointment onto Jay's injury with more care. Feeling Yukino's soft and delicate hand rubbing the soothing ointment onto his injury made the pain start to fade from Jay as he breathed a sigh of relief. After a few more moments Yukino took her hand away from Jay's injury and put away her ointment as Jay started to speak.
"Thank you Yukino" responded Jay with a smile. Still having a concerned look, Yukino started to speak.
"What the master did to you was horrible Jay" responded Yukino with equal parts worry and anger in her voice. Trying to make Yukino feel better, Jay started to speak.
"It wasn't that bad Yukino. Master Jiemma didn't hurt me that bad. Honestly being accused of not being fully dedicated to Sabertooth hurt more than this injury" responded Jay, speaking the truth. It didn't matter to Jay if he had to face Lucy or Fairy Tail during the Grand Magic Games. If Lucy or Fairy Tail stood in his way then Jay would crush them like everyone else. Giving Jay a warm smile, Yukino started to speak.
"I never doubted you Jay. I know you are dedicated to the guild and will try your best during the games" responded Yukino in a sweet tone. Smiling back at Yukino, Jay started to speak.
"Thank you Yukino, that means a lot coming from you" responded Jay in a loving tone before he leaned forward and kissed Yukino shortly on the lips. Leaning back from Yukino's sweet lips, Jay smiled at her as he continued to speak.
"Come on, we should get going. I'll pack first and we will swing by your place if you need anything else since we will be away for a month" stated Jay as he stood up and put his shirt back on. Still concerned about Jay's injury, Yukino stood up as she started to speak.
"Are you sure you are alright Jay? We could always rest of the day and start training tomorrow" responded Yukino in a concerned tone. Smiling warmly at Yukino, Jay started to speak.
"Don't worry Yukino, I'm fine. The ointment you have me is helping out a lot and I will be back to one hundred percent in no time. I can't slack off just because of a little injury, Sabertooth is depending on me" responded Jay with a warm smile. Deciding to trust Jay for now, Yukino nodded her head as she started to speak.
"Okay Jay but I'm going to keep an eye on you" responded Yukino thinking she would put a stop to training if Jay appeared to be too hurt. Smiling lovingly at Yukino, Jay closed the distance between them and wrapped his arms around her waist as he started to speak.
"Thanks, Yukino. I feel good knowing you are looking out for me" responded Jay, touched that Yukino was this concerned about him. Leaning forward Jay placed a loving and short kiss on Yukino's sweet lips before he leaned back and continued to speak.
"I won't take long packing my things. Do you need anything from your place" asked Jay with a smile. Nodding her head, Yukino started to speak.
"Yah I need a few things" responded Yukino. Nodding his head in understanding, Jay started to speak.
"Alright then we will stop by your place while you still have it so you can grab what you need" responded Jay, playfully winking at Yukino as he reminded her that soon they would be living together. Despite the concern she still had for Jay's injury, Yukino couldn't help but blush and smile at Jay's words. Soon Jay had packed his things and he and Yukino headed towards her place. After stopping by Yukino's place, Jay and Yukino were walking through the crowded streets hand in hand while Yukino started to speak.
"We're training at a mountain resort right" asked Yukino as they walked through the crowded streets. Nodding his head, Jay started to speak.
"That's right Yukino. The place is secluded so we don't have to worry about causing any collateral damage when we train. The resort itself has a ton of amenities that will help us recharge our batteries so we can give every day of training our all" responded Jay with a smile. The resort they were training at was all paid for in advance, a benefit of being part of the number one guild in Fiore. As they continued to walk hand in hand through the crowded streets, Yukino had a somewhat worried look as she started to speak.
"Jay are you sure it's a good idea to train with me" asked Yukino in a somewhat worried tone. Giving Yukino a curious look, Jay started to speak.
"What do you mean Yukino? You're still not worried about my injury are you? I'm telling you I feel fine" responded Jay with a smile. Shaking her head, Yukino started to speak.
"No that's not what I'm worried about. Well, I'm worried about it but I'm talking about something else right now" responded Yukino. Seeing that whatever was on Yukino's mind was weighing heavily on her, Jay stopped and lead her to a nearby park bench before he started to speak.
"What's wrong Yukino" asked Jay in a warm and friendly tone. Looking shyly at Jay, Yukino started to speak.
"Wouldn't it be better for you to train with Sting and Rouge since they can better keep up with you" asked Yukino in a shy tone. Smiling at Yukino, Jay started to speak.
"Is that what this is about Yukino? You're the perfect choice for me to train with" responded Jay with a warm smile. Blushing at Jay's words, Yukino started to speak.
"Are you sure about that Jay? I don't want to hold you back or anything" responded Yukino with a blush covering her face. Nodding his head, Jay started to speak.
"Yes I'm sure Yukino. Remember that I choose to train with you before we confessed to each other so I'm not just saying this because I want to spend an entire month alone with you" responded Jay with a friendly smile. Still blushing lightly, Yukino started to speak.
"Then why am I the perfect choice to train with" asked Yukino in a curious tone. Smiling at Yukino, Jay started to speak.
"Well besides that I get along with you the best Yukino, there are two main reasons. The first is that out of everyone in the guild I can help you with your training the most. Remember that my family has a history of celestial magic, so I know a thing or two about your magic" responded Jay with a smile. Nodding her head in understanding, Yukino started to speak.
"That makes sense. What is the other reason" asked Yukino in a curious tone.
"The second reason is that I'd work harder when training with you than I would with anyone else in the guild" responded Jay with a smile. Not understanding what Jay meant, Yukino started to speak.
"What do you mean Jay? Why would you train harder with me around" asked Yukino in a curious tone. Laughing lightly to himself, Jay started to speak.
"Haha it's simple Yukino. Think about it, why wouldn't I put in extra effort to impress the pretty girl I like" responded Jay with a flirty smile that made Yukino blush all over again. Smiling while she blushed at Jay's words, Yukino started to speak.
"Oh, I see. I'm glad I can motivate you then" responded Yukino with a pink blush covering her cheeks. Giving Yukino a flirty smile, Jay leaned close to her and started to speak.
"Although now that we are together I have a third reason for wanting to train with you Yukino" responded Jay in a flirty tone before he closed the short distance between their lips. Pressing his lips onto Yukino's, Jay smiled as he enjoyed Yukino's sweet taste. After a short while Jay leaned back from Yukino's sweet lips and continued to speak.
"So, are you ready to get going then? I promise you won't hold me back Yukino, there is no one else that would motivate me to work harder" stated Jay with a warm smile. Smiling back at Jay, Yukino nodded her head as she started to speak.
"Yes Jay, I'm ready" responded Yukino with a happy smile, glad to be reassured by Jay. Standing up, Jay took Yukino's hand and walked towards the train station with her. After serval hours Jay and Yukino arrived at the mountain resort they were staying at. After being shown to their room, Jay stretched as Yukino started to speak.
"Are you feeling okay Jay? You're still not feeling bad from the train are you" asked Yukino with a hint of concern in her voice. Taking another moment to stretch, Jay turned around to face Yukino as he started to speak.
"I feel fine, your medicine and soothing words during the train ride helped" responded Jay with a warm smile as he closed the short distance between them. Wrapping his arms around Yukino's waist, Jay pulled her close to him before he kissed her hard on the lips.
Yukino moaned into Jay's open mouth, melting into the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Smiling into the heated kiss, Jay loved the feeling of Yukino's body flush against his as he made out with her. For serval minutes Jay and Yukino made out with each other, their bodies heating up with arousal as time passed. Knowing that if they continued to make out he would lose control, Jay leaned back from Yukino's sweet lips before he started to speak.
"We still have a few hours of sunlight left, let's work hard so we can play hard later" stated Jay in a flirty tone that made Yukino blush as she nodded her head in agreement. Stepping back from Yukino, Jay took her hand in his own and lead her out of the room they were staying in. Soon Jay and Yukino were standing in a secluded clearing that was designated for their training. Smiling confidently at Yukino, Jay took a combat stance as he started to speak.
"You ready Yukino? I'm not going to take it easy on you just because I love you" asked Jay in a determined tone. Giving Jay her own determined look, Yukino brought out her key for Pisces as she started to speak.
"I'm ready Jay" responded Yukino as she used her magic to summon Pisces. Soon Jay was smiling as he dodged Pisces and jumped high into the air as he started to speak.
"Show me what you got Yukino" shouted Jay with an eager smile as he prepared to counterattack. After a few hours Yukino was breathing heavily as Jay walked over to her and started to speak.
"I think that is enough for today Yukino, great work today" stated Jay with a warm smile as he watched Yukino try and catch her breath. Taking another moment to catch her breath since she had used a large portion of her magical energy, Yukino started to speak.
"Thanks, but I wish I could have kept up with you better. I'm exhausted and it looks like you can still go for serval more hours" responded Yukino still somewhat out of breath. Smiling warmly at Yukino, Jay started to speak.
"You kept up just fine Yukino. You almost had me a couple of times. I think we should focus on training your magical power to the point you can summon two spirits at once. You could have some sick combos if you could summon Pieces and Libra at the same time" responded Jay with a warm smile. Giving Jay an unsure look, Yukino started to speak.
"You think I can pull something like that off? Summoning more than one spirit at a time is near impossible for celestial wizards" responded Yukino in an unsure tone. Giving Yukino the signature Heartfilia smile, Jay started to speak.
"Of course, you can Yukino. I believe in you entirely. I know that summoning more than one spirit is tough, heck my mom couldn't do that, and Lucy can't either. If anyone can do it, it would be you Yukino" responded Jay in a confident tone, showing Yukino that he fully believed every word he was saying. Touched by Jay's confidence in her, Yukino blushed as she started to speak.
"O-okay, if you really believe in me that much then I will work hard and won't let you down" responded Yukino with a blush as she closed the short distance between herself and Jay. Stopping in front of Jay, Yukino wrapped her arms around Jay's neck and looked him in the eyes as she continued to speak.
"It means a lot to me that you believe in me so much Jay. Thank you" stated Yukino, her eyes filled with love and admiration for Jay as she leaned forward. Leaning forward Yukino kissed Jay sweetly on the lips. The sweet kiss soon turned heated and passionate as Jay pulled Yukino closer against his body. After serval minutes of hungrily making out with each other, Jay leaned back from Yukino's sweet lips as he started to speak.
"I'm always going to believe in you Yukino. I love you and know you can do great things" responded Jay in a loving tone before he leaned forward and kissed Yukino hungrily on the lips. Hearing Jay's kind words caused Yukino's heart to swell with happiness and joy as she gladly returned the heated kiss. Wrapping her arms even tighter around Jay's neck, Yukino moaned into his open mouth as she melted into the kiss. After a short while, Yukino leaned back from Jay's lips and started to speak.
"I love you too Jay" responded Yukino, tears of joy filling her eyes thinking that she was never going to get tired of hearing Jay saying he loved her. Smiling at Yukino, Jay admired her radiant smile for a few moments before his stomach rumbled loudly. Giggling to herself, Yukino continued to speak.
"It sounds like you're hungry Jay" stated Yukino in an amused tone. Smiling at Yukino, Jay stepped back from Yukino and took her hand in his as he started to speak.
"Yah I am but in more ways than one Yukino" responded Jay, his hungry gaze making it clear to Yukino what he was talking about. Feeling a jolt of arousal run down her spine from Jay's implications, Yukino started to speak.
"Let's take care of your actual hunger first Jay then maybe we can do something about your other type of hunger" responded Yukino in a flirty tone. Staring to walk back towards the resort they were staying at, Jay started to speak.
"Sounds good to me Yukino, I'm starving and dying for some dessert afterwards" responded Jay in a flirty tone as he licked his lips while looking at Yukino. Yukino felt another jolt of arousal run down her spine from Jay's words and hungry gaze on her. Smiling at Jay, Yukino started to speak.
"You're not the only one Jay" responded Yukino in a flirty tone, also filled with desire for Jay. Together the two of them continued to walk toward the resort they were staying at. After a few minutes Jay and Yukino were almost at their destination as Jay turned his attention towards Yukino and started to speak.
"Is it messed up that I kind of want to eat some fish after fighting Pieces" asked Jay in a joking tone. Giggling in amusement at Jay's words, Yukino started to speak.
"Maybe a little bit but it's alright. I won't tell Pieces" responded Yukino in an amused tone. Shortly after saying these words Jay and Yukino arrived at the resort and enjoyed a nice seafood dinner. After eating Jay and Yukino headed back to their room for the night. Once they were alone, Jay crashed his lips onto Yukino's in a hungry and heated kiss.
Pressing his lips hard against Yukino's, Jay's hands were roaming across Yukino's body. Yukino moaned into Jay's open mouth, loving the feeling of his strong hands running across her body as they hungrily made out with each other. As Jay continued to hungrily kiss Yukino, his hands found the bottom of her shirt and quickly took it off her body. Jay and Yukino's lips temporarily parted so Yukino could take off her shirt but they soon crashed back together once the shirt was thrown forgotten to the ground. Reaching behind Yukino, Jay undid the clasp to her bra and let it fall to the floor as they continued to hungrily make out with each other. It didn't take long for Jay's hands to start groping Yukino's naked breasts which caused Yukino to lean back from Jay's lips and let out a moan of pleasure as she started to speak.
"AHH Jay" moaned Yukino, the feeling of Jay's strong hands groping her naked breasts was making her body tingle with pleasure and arousal. Smiling lustfully at Yukino, Jay leaned forward and started to speak into her ear.
"You're so sexy Yukino, I can't get enough of you" responded Jay, his hot breath making Yukino shudder with pleasure. Once again Jay leaned forward and captured Yukino's sweet lips with his own.
