Harley and his little sister Emily went through the portal. They both found themselves to be in some sort engineering room of a spaceship. Everything was orange. There was a ladder that stood right in front of them. Harley was still inside of his Iron Man suit. He scanned his surroundings. Harley was nervous.
"Hello!" Harley yelled out loud. "Anybody here?"
There was a bunch of footsteps that were thundering from the floor above Harley and Emily. A green rabbit climbed down the ladder. Harley was shocked upon seeing the rabbit creature. The rabbit had emerald green colored fur. The rabbit had huge pink eyes. The rabbit wore a red and yellow costume with yellow trim, coattails, and epaulettes. There was a set of red goggles that hung over the rabbit's ears. He looked like he was just over three feet tall.
Soon, other animal like creatures started to appear. There was a beautiful white female cat with pink hair that flowed down to the back of her knees. The cat lady had body armor all over her body that was over a black jumpsuit. There was a four armed duck who had an red eye patch covering one of it's eyes. The duck wore some sort of bulky looking headphones over his ears. The black duck wore a orange flight-suit, red boots, and a baseball cap. He had a bunch of guns in various holsters that were strapped to his waist.
Then there was a light tan baboon like creature. The baboon wore some sort of battle armor. He was brawny and big. Last but not least there was a little robotic figure. The robot looked like something ripped straight out of the Disney and Pixar movie WALL-E.
All five of the creatures looked at the two human beings in awe. One of the humans was covered from head to toe in a crimson and chrome colored metallic armored suit. The other human was a girl.
"Who are you and why are you in that suit?" The green rabbit asked the armored person.
"My name is Harley Keener and I come in peace." The human boy in the armored suit said to the rabbit.
"Why are you in that suit?" The green rabbit asked Harley.
"Because I feel like wearing this suit." Harley said sarcastically to the green rabbit.
"Really." The green rabbit said. "Well I would appreciate it if you unveil yourself by taking off that armor. Me and my crew want to see what kind of creature you are."
Harley was unsure about the rabbit's request to take off his armor. He found it hard enough to believe that a green rabbit could talk and act like human beings. Harley really wanted to say a sarcastic remark to the green rabbit about the fact he wasn't his boss. But the rabbit looked like he could take Harley down in a matter of seconds. So, Harley had no choice but to take the armor off. Harley took off his Iron Man armor. The green rabbit was surprised by Harley's appearance.
"What are you?" The green rabbit asked Harley.
"I'm a human being. So is my sister Emily." Harley said.
"I've never heard of a human being before." The green rabbit said.
Harley began to laugh hysterically at the rabbit's statement. The rabbit had to be on drugs or insane. There was no way that these group of alien creatures have never heard of humans before.
"What's so funny?" A black duck asked Harley.
"You guys serious. You guys have never heard of humans before?" Harley asked the group of alien animal creatures.
All of the creatures shook their heads no. They had never before seen a human being before.
"My name is Captain Bucky O'Hare of the Righteous Indignation. This is my first mate Jenny, gunner Deadeye Duck, Bruiser and Android First Class Blinky." The green rabbit said, introducing him and his friends to Harley and Emily.
"Cool costumes." Emily said to Bucky and his crew.
"Thanks." Bucky said to Emily. "What may your name be?"
"My name is Emily. Emily Keener." the little human girl said to Bucky O'Hare.
Suddenly, there was the sound of lasers firing at the spaceship. Everybody was knocked back on the ground. Harley landed on the ground on his ass.
"What the hell's hitting us?" Harley asked Bucky snd his crew.
"Toad plasma cannons. Powerful enough to rock the entire ship." Jenny said to Harley.
"What's a toad?" Harley asked Jenny.
"We'll explain later. Everyone to battle stations!" Bucky yelled at everybody. Suddenly, everybody started to get into their battle stations. It was confusing to Harley. One minute, he was greeted by alien creatures from another dimension, the next minute everybody was fighting some enemy. Harley was scared. Harley climbed up the ladder that led to the upper deck of the Righteous Indignation. It was like something that was ripped straight out of a Star Wars movie. There were dozens of weirdly designed ships that were unfamiliar to Harley. He saw Deadeye firing a turret at the spaceship.
After a few minutes of a reenactment of an episode of Battlestar Galactica, the Righteous Indignation went into hyperspace. Harley desperately wanted to know what the hell just happened. Bucky and the rest of his crew met where Harley and his sister Emily were standing.
"Ok, I want to ask you guys a few questions. First of all, who the hell were those guys you were fighting with? Second, what's a toad and lastly, Why are the toads evil?" Harley asked Bucky and his crew.
"The enemies we were fighting with were toads. The toads are the sworn enemy to the S.P.A.C.E. alliance." Bucky explained to Harley. "Blinky will show you how the toads became evil."
The android named Blinky suddenly turned into a film projector as it suddenly showed a public service announcement about the history of the Toad Empire and how it became evil.
Harley P.O.V.
I was suddenly watching a PSA (public service announcement) about these toad creatures that I knew nothing about. From what I could gather, the toads were once this nice peaceful everybody race that did basically what humans did in my world. Then, one day they created this AI system called KOMPLEX, It was at first a nice program that was designed to help the toads in their daily tasks. Then, one day, it became like Big Brother from George Orwell's book 1984 and it turned evil and it turned against the toads.
KOMPLEX turned the toads into militaristic soldiers hell bent on conquering the Aniverse. I honestly felt kind of bad for those toads. The fact that they were once this nice peaceful folk who created an AI program that was designed to help the toads and then on a drop of a dime, KOMPLEX went rogue and decided to brainwash and enslave the toads. The PSA ended.
"I can understand why the toads are evil and why you guys always defeat them." I said to Bucky and his crew. "I kind of feel bad for what happened to the toads."
"Yeah, I know." Bucky said to me. "Now do you see why me and my crew are so hell bent on defeating the Toad Empire. The toads have enslaved my planet. It's called Warren."
"What's Warren?" I asked Bucky.
The little android showed me another PSA. This one was about the planet Warren. The Warren planet was cool. It looked like a lush paradise that I would go to in a heartbeat. It was full of rabbit people. It was the home to every sport known to mankind. I couldn't get the song Holiday by Madonna out of my head when I watched the video.
After the Warren PSA was over, Bucky said to me, "The toads have turned Warren into a swamp using a climate converter."
"Climate converter?" I asked. Nobody can change the climate of an environment. It was impossible.
"Yes." Bucky said. "The toads have turned my planet into a swamp using their climate converter."
"That's impossible." I said. "Nobody can change the climate of an environment."
"As impossible as it may seem, it's true." Bucky said to me.
"I came from another dimension." I said to Bucky and his crew. "I come from a planet named Earth."
"What's this Earth planet like?" Jenny asked me.
"Earth is a nice planet. It has seven continents. I live in the country called the United States of America in the state of Tennessee." I explained.
"Sounds like Earth is a cool planet." Jenny said.
"Say Harley, how would you like to be our engineer? Our previous engineer, Bruce the Beetleguisan Berserker was zapped into another dimension during a freak accident involving our particle accelerator. We have been looking for another engineer for ages." Bucky said to me.
I didn't know what to say to Bucky. Sure I was an engineer, but to be an engineer of a spaceship. I just met Bucky and his crew a couple of minutes ago and suddenly Bucky was asking me to serve as their engineer. I thought about for a few minutes. Then I came to a decision.
"Sure. I would love to join your crew as an engineer. What have I got to lose." I said to Bucky and his crew.
