Chapter 2: First Meeting

Usagi slowly walked to the living room, upon entering the room she saw her parents and three people she didn't know. Usagi's blue eyes looked over the three people. The woman, who looked to be around her mother's age was beautiful, her short blue hair and her blue eyes fit her perfectly. Next to her, was a man that had black spiky hair and matching black eyes. His face structure was sharp and his expression was stern, and his body was muscular and intimidating.

The last person her gaze fell upon was a boy, maybe a year or two older than her. His face had the same features as the man, and his hair was short and the color of lavender and his eyes were blue, just like the woman's. Usagi noticed that his body is also muscular and intimidating as well. 'He's handsome….' Usagi thought as she walked into the room and sat at the only empty seat, right next to the boy.

"Usagi, I want you to meet Bulma Brief and her husband Vegeta." Ikuko told her motioning towards the two adults in the room. "And the handsome young man next to you is your fiance, Trunks."

Trunks smiled at Usagi, he picked up her hand, "Hello Usagi, you are more beautiful than I imagined." He kissed the top of her hand.

Her face turned red, "N-Nice to meet you."

Bulma smiled at Usagi, "Usagi, I hope you and Trunks will get along." Vegeta just grunted.

"Why don't you show Trunks around, Usagi?" Ikuko suggested. "This will give you two a chance to get to know each other. It will also give me and Bulma a chance to catch up."

Trunks stood up and offered his hand to Usagi. "I would like that, if you'd be willing?"

She grabbed his hand and stood up. The two walked out of the house, there was an awkward silence for a few minutes. Trunks still had a hold of her hand, Usagi looked at the sidewalk. 'He seems nice, and he is handsome…maybe this won't be so bad.' Usagi looked up at Trunks, "So um…how old are you? And what do you like to do?"

He smiled down at her, "I'm seventeen, and I am a martial artist, so I fight and I like to work on engines and play video games. What about you?"

"Well I'm sixteen, and I love manga, video games, and food." Usagi said with a bit of embarrassment.

Trunks chuckled a bit, "I like food too. So where to first?"

"Well there are a couple places I can show you. First, we can go to a Shrine that my friend works and lives at, I was going to meet up with them a bit later. Or I can show you the Crown Cafe, it is a cute little cafe with good food and an arcade." Usagi told Trunks as they walked down the street.

"I would like to meet your friends. After all, I should meet them at some point so why not now?" He said with a small laugh.

Usagi led trunks to the Shrine, as they walked Trunks took a deep breath. "Usagi, I hope you and I will have a happy life together. I was nervous to meet you." He explained, "I was wondering what you would look like, be like, and if you and I would get along."

Usagi giggled this time, "I was nervous too, and my friends aren't going to believe that I'm engaged to you."

"Oh yeah? Why?"

"Well they thought that it might be you, but my friend Ami said it would be highly unlikely." Usagi explained, "I mean all I had was your name."

Trunks raised an eyebrow, "Do you know anyone else with the name 'Trunks'?"

Usagi shook her head, "No," she laughed, "Your name is pretty unique."

"Tell me about it." Trunks said sarcastically.

They stood at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the Shrine. Usagi turned to face Trunks, "My friends can be a bit protective of me."

"I'm sure I can handle it." Trunk reassured her, "Come on, don't want to keep them waiting."

Usagi nodded, the two climbed the steps. As they got to the top Trunks saw four girls all around Usagi's age and one man slightly older than them. "Usagi!" The girl with long black hair yelled, "You better have a good reason for being late!"

"I-I do. Everyone, this is Trunks Briefs…my fiance."

The group turned to look at Trunks, "Oh..right I forgot about that…" She said sheepishly. "I'm Rei."

"And Trunks this is Minako, Makoto, Ami, and Mamoru…" Usagi said pointing out everyone.

Trunks bowed slightly, "It's nice to meet all of you. I kept Usagi from being here on time. I apologize." He said to Rei.

"Not a problem!" Rei said with a blush. "Wait here for one moment please." Rei grabbed Usagi's hand and pulled her away from Trunks and the other girls followed.

Trunks looked at Mamoru, "Mamoru, right? How did you and Usagi meet?"

Mamoru glared at Trunks slightly, "I was her boyfriend before you showed up."

Trunks put his hand up in defense, "Well it was our parents idea, not ours. Mamoru, it seems to me that Usagi means a great deal to you. I promise you that I won't let anyone or anything hurt her."

Mamoru was quiet as Trunks continued, "I want you to still be in Usagi's life, I'm sure you'd like that as well. Mamoru can we be civil and try to be friends for Usagi?"

Trunks stuck out his hand as an act of good will. Mamoru's glare soften, and he took Trunks hand, "You better treat her right. If not I'd have to deal with you. Usagi is the sweetest, kindest person you'll ever meet."

"I know."

Rei brought Usagi to behind the Shrine out of sight of Trunks. "He's so handsome Usagi." Minako said with hearts in her eyes.

"I know right? That physique." Makoto commented.

Rei growled, "Not right now girls! We have to make sure Trunks will treat Usagi right! He may seem all but we shouldn't believe everything we read in magazines."

"Rei is absolutely correct, the only things we know about him are what have been published in magazines." Ami added, "And they do like to add some untruthful stuff in there as well."

Usagi smiled, "Thank you for your concern girls, so far he's been really nice and kind to me. Hopefully he's stays that way."

Minako gave her a hug, "If he's not he will have us and the other Senshi to deal with."

The group returned to the front of the Shrine and saw Trunks and Mamoru talking, "Glad to see you two getting along." Usagi said. "Trunks, Mamoru is.."

"Your ex-boyfriend? I know we've been talking." Trunks told her. "He's been saying you have a study group? I can help you out if you'd like."

Rei led the group into her room for the study session. Everyone, minus Trunks, pulled out books and opened them. Usagi took out her math, and Trunks could see she was struggling. "Would you like some help?" He offered. Wordlessly Usagi showed him her math paper. Trunks picked up a pencil and began to show Usagi an easier why if doing the math.

"That makes so much more sense now! Thanks Trunks." Usagi said as she worked more on her paper.

Rei exchanged glanced with the other Senshi and Mamoru to have them start asking Trunks questions to get to know him and see if he would be right for their Moon Princess.
