Top disappointment

"So who wants to fight in the Top 16?" Ash asked

Everyone cheered then looked eachother and started fighting.

"STOP!!!" Ash shouted

Everyone stopped in awkward positions.

"Now we'll do this peacefully, Squirtle use ice beam on this rock to make a large ice cube!"

Squirtle did so, he made a large ice cube as big as his own size and similarly wide.

"Now Pikachu use Iron tail to make that cube into Octagon!"

Pikachu grinned, his tail turned metalic and made precise cuts around the cube turning it into a Octagon.

"Great now, Kingler carve 1 to 8 number on that octagon!"

Kingler nodded and quickly carved out the numbers.

"Now let do this rolling the dice, the numbers represents when you joined our team. for example Pikachu is my first Pikachu and Tauros is my last caught Pokemon." Ash explained

Everyone nodded. Ash rolled the dice and it landed on 8. Tauros laughed and ran around in happiness. Ash rolled the dice again and it landed on 3. Squirtle too laughed and jumped on top of Tauros's back, riding him like a cow boy. Ash rolled the dice again and it landed on 5. This time Pidgeot screeched and took flight.

"Wasn't that fun?" Ash asked grinning

"It was!" Pidgeot said while landing.

Everyone else who were not selected started muttering disappointingly, Pidgeot just gave them and smirk somehow.

Charizard snorted some flames out of his nose and took flight "Let's race!"

"Hey that's cheating!" Pidgeot said in indignation and followed after him.

Professor Oak brought Ash's remaining pokemon from the ranch.

"Pikachu wanna come with me to see whose our opponent!" Ash called out to a Pikachu who was monitoring a battle between Pidgeot and Charizard.

"Sure!" Pikachu said, ran up and jumped on Ash's shoulder.

Time skip

A hour later Ash returned to the cabin.

"Well it looks like I'm beating Ritchie's ass." Ash said

Misty and Brock looked at him like they already knew that as if it was a fact.

"Help me plan Brock." Ash said entering his room.

Brock nodded and followed.

Time skip

"Tauros, I choose you!" Ash let out his Tauros.

"Sparky, Go!" Ritchie's Pikachu jumped on the battlefield.

"Tauros, work up!"

"Sparky, Dubble team!"

Tauros increased his Atk and Sp.Atk. Sparky ran around and made four after images.

"Sparky, Quick attack!"

"Let him come close and use, Stomping tantrum!"

Sparky quickly ran close to Tauros along with his after images. Sparky punched kicked and headbutted Tauros in the face. Tauros unfaced stomped hard on the ground as Sparky landed, sending him flying back.

"follow up with, Stone edge!"

Tauros stomped one foot on the ground and four jagged rock emerged from the ground and followed Sparky. Sparky after getting flung back bounced twice on the ground, Sparky slowly got up and was surprised by the four rocks. one hit him in the abdomen, one hit him in the tail, one hit him in each arm. Injuring him badly.

"Well wasn't that fun!" Tauros said

"It was, great job, now return Tauros!" Ash recalled Tauros, Ritchie too recalled his Pikachu.

"Zippo, Go!" Ritchie let out his Charmander, Zippo.

"Wow your luck bad, and I mean very bad, like bad bad bad." Ash said.

"What do you mean by that?" Ritchie asked

"I mean! Squirtle, I choose you!" Ash his Squirtle. and upon seeing Ritchie's ghostly pale face grinned.

Ritchie shook his head and said "We can do this!"

"We'll see about that!" Ash said

"Zippo use, Dragon breath!"

"Squirtle Match it with, Dragon pulse!"

Zippo let out a streem of green flames at Squirtle. Squirtle matched it with a green beam and eventually overpowered it, Slightly singeing the Charmander and making him fall backwards.

"Aqua jet! combine with Rapid spin!"

Charmander struggled to get his foot. meanwhile Squirtle who currently was in a form a spining watery bullet, which impacted with Zippo's skull, Knocking him unconscious in one hit.

Squirtle laughed and returned to Ash side.

"Do you think I can do that to Charizard?" Squirtle asked.

"Maybe." Ash replied.

Ritchie recalled Zippo.

"Wanna stay and watch." Ash stated

Squirtle nodded rapidly and grinned.

"Happy, Go!" Ritchie let out his Butterfree.

"You sure you wanna do that?" Ash asked

"Yes I am. I am not afraid of you, We can do this!" Ritchie said

"Well said, Now Pidgeot, I choose you!" Ash let out his Pidgeot.

"Let's just get this over with." Ritchie sighed

"Happy use, confusion!"

"Pidgeot use, Brave bird!"

Pidgeot flew high and came down in great speed. Happy did try to slow her down but was unable to slow her before she was able to hit him.

"Now, Heatwave!"

Pidgeot flapped her wings intensely and send extremely hot air towards Happy.

A moment later only a scorched and unconscious Happy remained on the battle ground.

"Well that was disappointing." Ash said, Pikachu and Squirtle nodded in agreement.
