RGQC here and here to deliver a chapter as I promised, an omake before Christmas. Well, I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. Merry Christmas and an early happy new year to everyone! And let us address some stuff first before we start on it.
Viper0Vendalmy: Oh, I know. I've received comments about it, and in a future chapter, I would likely have RGQC coming in like an end-game crisis kind of scenario. Yea, reading in and playing the game myself, the Hydra, after surviving a genocide, literally became as xenophobic and militaristic as their oppressors. So in a way, I pity them.
It still doesn't justify what they are doing to humanity.
You know, that's actually not a bad idea, Mike Snowball. I actually might do that at the end of Wings. Doing a no-deathless run via GiantGrantGames honestly sounds like a great idea overall! I'll add this idea to my 'ideas to add in folder'.
True Dakzillaman. When we get to legacy (which would take years to reach, tbh), giving Moebius Corps that colour scheme would make them look like Amon's slaves and not just red as they were portrayed in the game, indeed! And yeah, Kerrigan and Pyrrha were similar, much to my surprise when I first began working on this story.
Oh. I see Redpo12. Well, I'm not one to do it, and I have my plate full at the moment. So while I'd like to see someone write that out as a story, I doubt I can do it justice with the degrading memory of the Hobbit. But sure, spreading the idea would increase the chance of someone writing it. One can hope.
Besides that, let us get started on this Christmas omake! Like all my other stories, I do not own any of RWBY or their content. They all belong to their respective owners. Only OCs in this story are of my creation.
Christmas Special
Hours had passed since everyone had left the theatre room to allow RGQC to prepare a holiday event from his world, according to QAI. During that time, they hadn't been lying around, but they all went off their separate ways, with most of them back to observing RGQC's collection.
And all of them chose to go to the clothing sector because they could and were genuinely curious when Coco mentioned that 'you could dress up in them if you want'. And so they arrived and saw hundreds of thousands of outfits in some chamber, from pre-historic to modern, to futuristic and everything in between.
Interestingly enough, Lily was there with Aries, and she was wearing a shining armour over an old-styled puffy dress made from blue cloth. And over her shoulders was also a blue coat with white fur trimmings. In a way, it reminded them of the old knights of Vale.
"Wow, you look amazing in it, Lily!" Aries could be heard complementing Lily as he orbited around the princess of Menagerie.
"Yea. You called it cosplaying? Seems more like dress up to me." Lily muttered as she looked deeper at what she was wearing. "I like the fuzzy coat, though."
"Yea! The outfit you're wearing comes from a famous knight in one reality. That's why it's called cosplaying, as you wear a costume representing a specific character."
"Famous knight, huh? I like it, and it is surprisingly comfy to wear." Lily sounded more intrigued at the moment before she and Aries turned around.
"Oh hey, guys!" Lily waved at everyone as she was engulfed by a light that faded away to show her wearing another outfit. This outfit was a fashionable dress alongside leggings and wooden shoes. Over her left shoulder was a highly detailed left-side sleeve and skirt/half-cape clothing over her. Lily's hair was tied up into a bunch, as well as a ponytail that goes down to her knees.
There was also a katana on her waist with a gold-ish metal tinge, with its primary colour being black with a bit of green.
Witnessing the outfit change on Lily, Coco lets out an impressed whistle. "Damn girl looking good right there."
"Looks heavily based on Mistral," Neptune mutters as he and everyone observe the new outfit in detail, even more so when everyone can hear a beep from Torchwick as he pulls out a tablet and read it.
"Huh, what do you know? This outfit Blake junior's wearing is called Psychedelic Wandering Tales."
"Really now?" Neo peaked over Torchwick's arm. "Gotta give where credit due. It makes her look like royalty. Also, Blake junior? Are you seriously calling her that?"
Torchwick chucked, "Then what would you call her then, Neo?"
"Just Lily, you know."
"Fair enough."
Ignoring the conversation Torchwick and Neo were having, everyone else paid attention to Lily, who asked them all. "So, what can I help you guys with, or are you just curious as to what I'm doing at the moment." She asked as everyone looked at each other before Ruby spoke first.
"Well… RGQC mentioned that he wants us to join in a Christmas event?" Ruby seemed unsure for a second. "It's an event he participated in back on Earth when he was alive."
"Christmas, huh?" Lily seemed to tranced at what she heard from Ruby. Her dad would have this private event back in Menagerie only for them. Exactly like what Ruby had said. All of them would celebrate their time together and give gifts to each other. Her dad also voiced his desire to keep it a family tradition since Remnant doesn't have their end-year holidays. Or, more likely, it is different from his.
Oh yea, dad would invite his Aunt Ruby, Yang, Weiss, and several others, including uncle Oscar.
"Lily?" The princess of Menagerie turned her gaze onto her alternative mother's voice.
"Hmm? Yea, I'll join in. Sounds nice to spend the time here." Lily got smiles from everyone as Coco was in the corner switching through hundreds of costumes and earning a sweatdrop from those who knew her.
"Ah!" Aries let out a squeak as everyone looked at him. "I've received word from master that he had finished preparations. So do follow me. He will be waiting for us." Aries smiled as a portal appeared next to him before he walked through it and beckoned everyone to follow him.
Glancing at each other, everyone began to make their way through the portal as Lily and Coco changed into their default uniforms and followed them. And once they crossed through the portal, they found themselves in a hall large enough to house them all. It was also decorated and had a foreign festival theme none of them had experienced before except for Lily.
In the middle of the hall was a massive pine tree covered in all sorts of decorations, mainly with a mixture of red, silver and gold. In addition, a combination of red and silver tinsel foil was on the ceiling and the tree itself. There was also a star on the tip of the pine tree itself.
As if RGQC could have made it even more festive, the floor was carpeted with an elegantly decorated symbol of a snowflake on a red background, along with several minor marks among the mix. Roles of tables and chairs were also present, with another set of tables to the side with all sorts of tasty Christmas-themed treats.
RGQC, alongside several others they recognise during their stay here, could be seen talking to each other with glasses of champagne in their hands. Even more so was a red cap with white fur on everyone's head.
"Master! I brought them here!" Aries yelled out as he ran straight for his master as those from Remnant absorbed the new surrounding they found themselves in and were in awe at the sight.
Hearing him, RGQC turned his head and smiled at his loyal servant. "Ah, Aries, thank you for bringing them here. How about you spend time with the rest while I deal with our guest?" The realm lord asked as Aries nodded with a smile on his face and ran off towards Filo.
"I'm glad to see all of you here, and I hope the atmosphere isn't too much for all of you," RGQC admits as Ozpin was the first to speak up.
"No, that isn't the case, RGQC; I am sure we're just admiring the effort you put in for this event."
"That I agree." Ironwood walked into the conversation, and for once, for everyone who knew him, Ironwood looked relaxed. "It oddly feels relaxing being here."
"Yea! This place is awesome!" Ruby suddenly yelled as her team agreed.
"Definitely! Reminds me of our time together during the holidays!"
"Except with us." Blake smiled as Weiss agreed.
"I concur. It will be nice to spend the holidays with all of you. Even with your parents."
"Aww, thank you, Weiss!" Ruby wrapped her arms around Weiss, who initially wanted to resist it, but in the end. She chose to relent and accept it with a smile. Team RWBY is her family. And nothing will change that.
"Renny! I see food!" Nora yells out with joy as she points at the table filled with delicious food.
"This looks more luxurious than anything I've been through so far," Torchwick admits as he and Neo spit off from the rest and explore their surrounding.
"Definitely. But why not make the most of it, yea?" Neo smiled at her boss, who chuckled and adjusted his hat.
"Yea. Sounds great."
RGQC then coughed into his hand to gather everyone's attention. "Now that I have your attention. I only wish you all a Merry Christmas and enjoy today. If you have any questions, you can talk to me, and I'll do my best to help you." The realm lord offered a soft smile as he snapped his fingers, and in an instant, everyone got the exact hats that RGQC had on his head.
"If I may ask RGQC," Penny asked curiously, "What is Christmas? It is clearly a major event back in your world, but we do not have any other data on it."
"Ah, Christmas…" The realm lord sounded nostalgic for a second. "Back where I'm from, it is a religious and cultural annual festival that commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. A major figure in Christianity and the faith I followed when I was still mortal."
"In it, we do activities like decorating our homes, nativity play for children, singing music together, eating Traditional cuisine, and gift giving. There are others, like going to church, but I won't do that since I do not intend to force you through it."
"Interesting! Another form of religion like the Bother Gods and its festivals. Do you have books on it?" Penny continued.
"Yes, I do, Penny." RGQC nods his head. "Now, I believe I have held you for far longer than I should. And again, Merry Christmas and enjoy the day off."
And so, the realm lord walked off as everyone spits off from one another to enjoy the holiday event. Most of the adults hung around each other and talked among themselves while the students were off by RGQC's servants or by the table enjoying the Christmas theme food provided to them all.
There was also Christmas theme music playing in the background as well. But not all were content with it. Cinder and her party were one such example, while they accepted RGQC's festive hospitality. She was mainly restless about spending the time here celebrating, for, in her eyes, it was a waste of time. Cinder still primarily wondered about the dangerous collection the realm lord had hidden in her mind.
And her curiosity as to what lies within only grows by the day. Now, if only…
Cinder's thoughts were interrupted when one of the realm lord's servants walked towards her. What was her name? Ah, right.
Koyanskaya.
"I can tell from your faces that you're not having fun here." She spoke in a professional tone that made Cinder almost mistake her for someone like General Ironwood. "I find master's attempts to mimic his mortal human life and culture filthy and a waste of time." Koyanskaya waved her hand as she drank from her champagne glass.
"My apologies; we never really talked to each other before. An introduction would be nice." Cinder asked as Emerald and Mercury stood to the side as Koyanskaya began to laugh.
"I am Koyanskaya. I serve as RGQC's one and only hypercompetent sexy secretary and the CEO of NFF residing in his realm. A pleasure to meet you, Cinder Fall and cohorts." Koyanskaya grinned. "Or should I say pets? Since they have no rights after all with you..."
"Hey! What is that supposed to mean?" Emerald frowned as Cinder turned her eyes on Emerald, shutting her up. Koyanskaya just laughed at what she'd seen.
"See? You can't even say what you want without her stopping you. And you must obey her every word; sounds like a pet, hmm?" Koyanskaya pointed out as she took a sip. "But I digress. I can tell that you have something in your mind right now, and I know a business partner when I meet one."
"How can I trust you?"
"Frankly, I find things are getting too dull with master's insistence on the balance of what now. And the Daemonic invasions are getting boring with their constant incursions. However, I can assure you that I never break my promises and will hold my end of the bargain." Koyanskaya gave a slight shrug as she leaned in on Cinder's ear.
"And I can tell you have eyes on master's collection. And I want to help you."
"Sure we can trust her, Cinder?" Mercury asked as Emerald looked uncertain.
Cinder stared at Koyanskaya as her eyes drifted to everyone else in the hall, mainly at Ozpin talking with his group. Cinder then looked back at Koyanskaya before nodding back. "Very well then. I accept your help."
"Excellent." Koyanskaya smiled as she lifted her champagne glass. "But let me tell you something about my master that the others don't and will never know anytime soon. Master is not the goodie tooshoes you think he is. He has done some horrific things he oh so desperately tries to bury behind pathetically. And you know what?"
Koyanskaya's smile grew ever wider as her iris shrank. She also lets out a sadistic giggle. "Huhuhu, it shames him that he genuinely enjoys it. You just don't see it."
"I… see…" Cinder had to admit that Koyanskaya's expression creeped her out.
"And Ruby Rose, that's what her name is it? She is such a naive little child that people can easily deceive her, don't you think? Hmm? She is a perfect gem, a gem that's worth training if given a chance…" Koyanskaya pulled her face away from Cinder with her eyes closed. "Forgive me for straying from the subject. Allow me to get you off my master's attention. Then we can leave."
Koyanskaya left and headed straight for her master while leaving Cinder and her followers behind to contemplate her intentions. If what Koyanskaya say is true, it means that there is more to the realm lord than it appears. But it was clear to all three that the woman they had just talked to was off.
No. She's sadistic and most likely a psychopathic as well, like that crazy scorpion Faunus Tyrian. Except she doesn't seem to have any absolute loyalty to her master at first glance. It would be wise to have her guard up when working with her. Why would RGQC bring in such an individual? Cinder could only wonder to herself.
As Koyanskaya walked to her master and explained her request to him. RGQC just stared with a raised eyebrow. "Really? Now of all times? Cinder wants to explore the dangerous collection I have locked away. Just what are you planning, Koyanskaya?" The realm lord asked with his tone dripping with suspicion as to what his servant was planning.
"Oh, nothing much, master. My intention is just to bring her and her pets to witness it. I never mention what I or QAI would do if they were to try something in there. Not like they could steal from you, master." Koyanskaya blatantly admitted as RGQC just shook his head with a mixture of exasperation with a hint of amusement.
"Planning to abuse a loophole with your 'contract' with them? Like you always do with our 'less than savoury' guests? I suppose if it curbs your tendency to rebel against me, I'll allow it. I have plans to convince them to break away from Salem in the future." RGQC took a sip of his glass.
"On the condition that you wouldn't go too far with your plans with them. Perhaps rough them up a bit for thinking that they can try something underneath our noses."
"Of course, master." Koyanskaya gave a slight bow with a grin. "I promise to bring them back to their viewing safe and sound, master. Perhaps exposing them to why those collections are dangerous would break their ridiculous curiosity."
RGQC rolled his eyes. The only reason he kept Koyanskaya around was because of how good she is at her job at managing things if QAI is unable to handle it. And her affinity for domesticating all sorts of animals in the multiverse. Koyanskaya's ambitions had led to several attempted takeovers from her, but all were quickly thwarted. Don't get him started on Koyanskaya's shamelessness to admit defeat if things didn't go her way in a flash and begging for mercy.
Though he would never admit it to anyone, RGQC enjoys her attempted takeovers. The idea of an underling constantly scheming against him made his two million years of existence more interesting. As a bonus, it helps keep him on his toes and prevents him from getting complacent.
"I'll inform QAI of your plans and the permission to bring those three into the restricted sector. Just keep to your words, Koyanskaya." The realm lord states as Koyanskaya just nods and leaves.
"Are you sure it is wise to give her permission to take them to your collection master?" RGQC turned his head to see that Tamamo was next to him. And she looks troubled at her master's decision.
"Perhaps. But you know as well do I that Cinder has an interest in my collection. No doubt to serve her master, Salem." RGQC huffed. "We must show them that their curiosity can and will bite them in the ass, even more so when they try to go behind my back. I trust Koyanskaya to set an example for them. Somewhat."
"Master… Koyanskaya could be plotting against you again." Tamamo protested with a pout. "While I trust your decisions. Allowing Koyanskaya free with our guests could cause trouble in the future."
RGQC just took a sip of his drink. "I know. If she does try again, I'll put her in her place. Like I always have."
"Hai, master." Tamamo mumbled as she and her master watched as everyone enjoyed their time here. Tamamo then watched as Koyanskaya opened a portal as Cinder and her followers walked through a portal.
"I hope you know what you're doing trusting her word, master…"
And we are done! First of all, I apologise if this Christmas omake seemed disappointing. Because I honestly feel like it does, but I have a reason. I wanted them to watch the first Christmas special, Starcrafts, but it would ruin my plans to reveal to the cast that there is a game version of it in a future chapter.
Another main reason was time. With Christmas on the horizon, things have gotten… hectic, to say the least, with everyone clearing as much work as possible before the end of the day. That and I want to release this before Christmas, so some cuts, unfortunately, must be made.
Sorry about that. Anyways, more lore exposition on RGQC's realm, some of his secrets from Koyanskaya, and Cinder collaborating with our resident hypercompetent sexy secretary. Oh, she and her party will not have a good time for what was planned for them by Koyanskaya. Hehe.
I'm done talking here. If you like my story so far, follow and favourite me if you enjoy this story! Do also leave a review of what you think of this chapter, as I enjoy reading it and giving replies to it!
And with that, I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, folks!
RGQC out, and see you next year!
One more thing! I got some story ideas I would like to work on in the future! You can check it out on my profile if you guys would like to! If it tickles your fancy, do PM me, and I may add it to my work schedule somehow. I'll find a way.
