Hey, kept you waiting, huh? Well, good news! I am back, and this story has been added to my writing pool to write! *Cue confetti noises! * First of all, I must apologise as this chapter was supposed to be out on the 1st of June, but procrastination and distraction with fanfics delayed this much longer than it should have and to my utter frustration. Sorry about it.
And Secondly, on to the reviews, we get this chapter on a roll!
RedMist86025949: After Vol 9, I'm not sure… Guess only the future will tell, huh?
Ssgtsplatter: Lily just graduated from Beacon, so she's around 20 years old. And she is not innocent. Lily's a naughty pervert, just like her mother, only when behind the curtains like her dad, but chooses to act all innocent just to tease her mother about her… exotic sessions with her dad. And revenge for that one time she accidentally caught them doing the deed. She still hasn't forgiven her for implanting that scene into her memory.
J-SECTION-L: I agree! Liv's too precious and must be protected! Anyways, I have to go with Alpha. She's such a badass!
Viper0Vendalmy: Yup, Supernova's up next! As for Adam… I'm unsure how to deal with him, but I have some ideas that could work. And showing the gang in Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech? Well, the more hopeful ones will undoubtedly like it.
Yolo27th: Ah Templine Institute. I loved their content hard. I could show it to them, but it does contain spoilers for Heart of the Swarm. Perhaps after they are done with the trilogy? Will that work?
Jamaie: You do have a point… Perhaps I should address or introduce them differently… As for Ironwood, I am biased over here. And yes, both sides did fuck up and kept secrets from each other. That is true. But I felt that Ironwood could have handled it better instead of going all, "You're either with or against me" mentality. Also, don't forget he blackmailed Penny into returning by threatening to nuke Mantle with his Dust bomb…
Which could have been used on Salem's giant floating Grimm whale. Then again, what do I know? I'm just a Fanfic Writer who writes for fun.
As I always do, I do not own RWBY or StarCraft. All these belong to their owners: RWBY belongs to Rooster Teeth, and StarCraft 2 belongs to Blizzard Entertainment. I only own my OC in this story.

"Adam Taurus…" RGQC grumbles before releasing a resigned sigh, "Your arrival was unexpected to everyone. I am RGQC, a realm lord, and I welcome you to my realm." The realm lord greeted as he gave a formal bow to the terrorist. Adam tensed momentarily with his hand to his weapon, only to calm down slightly when he noticed the cat ears on this masked individual who called this place his realm.
"Where exactly am I? How did I get here?" The bull Faunus bluntly asked as his body was still tensed and hand on Wilt.
"Frankly, another realm lord I knew brought you here for laughs, I suppose. But I should start from the beginning." So RGQC said as he explained everything to Adam for the next hour, why he recognised some of the humans and Faunuses were in a movie theatre, and where and who the realm lords were.
"You're telling me everyone here is watching a journey of a Human and his revolution against a corrupted government? And you want me to join them in watching them?!" Adam spoke with outrage at the idea that he must stay here with and watch with many humans and the Schnees as well!
Yet, the realm lord sighed with exhaustion as he could tell the bull Faunus could barely control his emotions. So why must he deal with this man needing psychiatric help? But then again, this is the same man that emotionally and physically abused Blake.
"As a realm lord, I've seen the multiverse and its flaw and potential. And let me tell you something. I saw a version of Remnant with no humans. Only Faunuses." The realm lord paused for a moment. "And they fell into the same pitfalls as humanity did with your kind."
For a moment, the realm lord swore he heard growling from the bull Faunus as he continued. "With no other 'race' to worry about, as you put it, Faunuses started segregating themselves among different species of Faunus. Mammalian Faunus, Avian Faunus, Reptilian Faunus, you name it, that happens. And the results weren't pretty."
"They treated those rarer types of Faunuses, like Aquatic Faunus or even insectoid Faunus, with disdain and hate because of how different they look from everyone else. Sound familiar?" RGQC raises an eyebrow beneath his mask as Adam snaps.
"What's the point of telling all this to me? Realm lord?"
"I'm saying that life and society itself have flaws. And frankly, you have bigger fish to fry with the Grimm, to begin with. So perhaps they should be focused instead of trying to murder each other over something that can't be changed that quickly in a generation."
"Are you saying our fight for our rights is pointless to you? Do you even know what we went through?!" Adam roared at the realm lord's face as he acted indifferent.
"As I said earlier, Adam." RGQC dryly commented. "In my study of everything in the multiverse, including Remnant, Faunuses are, frankly, a sub-species of Humanity if you think about it. The main thing is that they can inter-breed with one another. Is that not a major thing of notice that Humans and Faunuses are similar? You barely look any different from Humans except for adding a single animal trait."
"And yes, I agree that humanity is at fault for their refusal to accept your people over the pettiest of reasons. But people don't change their minds in an instant. Perhaps they could be convinced through deeds that your people deserved rights as much as they do." RGQC explained as Adam's rage simmered for a moment.
"Your desire to help your people is admirable, Adam, that I won't lie," RGQC says as he slowly removes his mask. "But allow me to quote this from a well-known man from a history you've never heard from."
"Violence begets violence; hate begets hate; and toughness begets a greater toughness. It is all a descending spiral, and the end is destruction — for everybody. Along the way of life, someone must have enough sense and morality to cut off the chain of hate."
Silence overtook both men for a while before RGQC continued. "I understand the pain you went through and your desire to help your people. But the current path of the White Fang will not bring the future the organisation envisions. Only misery and pain for both sides."
"Do not expect me to heed your words immediately," Adam growled. "Humanity needs to pay for the pain they caused my people. Someone must do it for them if they don't change their ways. Especially the Schnees!"
"I get your point, Adam," RGQC says as a portal opens behind him. "Jacques Schnee caused you and your people so much pain and suffering, all in the name of profit that I won't deny. But please, think through my words and explore my realm. I promise you that a better path lies ahead." The realm lord turned and was about to leave when he heard Adam speaking.
"Enough of all this. Who was that girl just now? And why does she remind me of my darling?" Adam then asked as the realm lord froze for a second. How will he explain this without the bull Faunus flipping his shit again?
"That… is Lily Belladonna. An alternative daughter of your 'darling'. I recommend you keep your distance from her. She despises you to the core for your sins on her parents and will likely attack you on sight before you say anything if it wasn't for me, and no. You are not the father." RGQC explained as Adam was rendered silent.
"I'll have QAI give you the map on your scroll. Use it to explore my realm, and… if you're willing, it would be nice if you could join us and watch Raynor's journey against an unjust man and against hostile aliens as well."
"Now then, I need to go find whoever dragged you here. Have a good day, Adam." And with that, RGQC walked through the portal, leaving the bull Faunus alone in the theatre room. Staring at where the realm lord was for a few seconds, Adam grunted as he took out his scroll to see the entire map and locations. And so, he left the theatre room alone, unaware that the realm lord had asked his trusty AI to keep a close eye on him.
Hours later…
Everyone soon arrived back in the theatre room. They noticed RGQC talking to a black-haired woman whose hair went to her shoulder and who wore a simple red dress. Another notable thing was that she and RGQC had similar appearances and were shorter than the realm lord as she wrapped her arm around his neck before pulling him down and a noogie.
"Come on, little bro! Is that all you have to say to me after not seeing each other for years?" She spoke almost like a big sister as RGQC notably struggled under her grip as everyone silently watched.
"Seriously, Van?! You talk about not seeing each other for years, yet you brought someone who could disturb the cohesion of my guests! I hope it was worth it for you because it caused some trouble on my end! Like seriously?!" RGQC could be heard grumbling as the woman called Van simply giggled as she stopped giving the realm lord a noogie upon noticing they weren't alone.
"Oh. Pardon me." Van simply said as she coughed into her hand. "You all must be RGQC's guests. I am RGQC's older sister, but you may call me Clara. Van is what he usually called me; I hope my brother has treated everyone well here." Clara smiles as Ruby is the first to speak.
"Yup! RGQC has given us food, a place to stay and entertainment during our stay here, Miss!"
"Yup! Also, you're RGQC's older sister?" Yang then asks as Clara nods her head.
"Alternative sister, yes," Clara simply smiled at her brother's guests while RGQC rubbed the part of his head that his sister gave him the noogie with an annoyed pout. "while my brother is over 2 million years old, I am over 3 million." Clara explained as RGQC glanced at his sister.
"Yeah, what she said. But must you bring Adam Taurus of all people here?" RGQC gave a questioning look at his sister, who had a smug look on her face. "You caused much trouble for me. Do you know that?" RGQC then dryly commented.
"Oh? Are you any different? Last, I check, you currently had your alternative d-" Whatever Clara was about to say was interrupted when RGQC covered her mouth with his hand with an almost deathly look.
"Refrain from speaking about her here…" RGQC addressed dryly. "For everyone's sake."
Clara simply brought her brother's hand down as she rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say, little bro." She then pulled her bother into a tight hug which RGQC reciprocated back. "We can talk somewhere else or another time. Up to you."
Clara hums as she breaks her hug from RGQC. "I've taken enough of your time and will see you soon. Also, you look adorable with the cat ears." Clara gave an affectioned head rub, and RGQC's cat ears twitched to her touch almost adorably as RGQC's sister left through the portal.
Blinking out of his tranced state, the realm lord coughed into his hands before having them together as he faced everyone. "Promise me you never speak of this to any other realm lord, ok? I have a reputation to maintain." RGQC dryly comments as all he got were nods, though a couple of smirks at the potential blackmail material shown before them.
"If I may ask RGQC," Ozpin spoke to us as the realm lord signalled him to continue. "What occupation does your sister do as a realm lord?" RGQC quietly hummed as he nodded his head.
"While I serve as the judge and executioner of realm lords, my sister chooses certain individuals to ascend them into realm lords and teach them how to manage their realms and their purposes beyond that. That process can take millions of years before a new realm lord joins the collective." RGQC explained as Ozpin hummed.
"How intriguing…"
"Ironically, it is because of her that why I ascended to become a realm lord." RGQC shrugged. "Anyways, with nothing else we should-" The theatre doors suddenly opened to show Adam himself, seemingly opening the door before closing it as he entered the room.
"Oh? I assume you wish to join us, Mr Taurus?" RGQC asked carefully as the audience exploded with indignant responses and protests. Ranging from the Atlasteans wanting his arrest to Huntsmans demanding why he is here and how. With a sigh, RGQC snapped his fingers, rending everyone mutes as the realm lord spoke.
"While I understand your outrage and questions about why he is here. Thanks to my sister's strange requests, Adam Taurus is now one of our guests, and I intend to keep my agreement to treat all my guests equally. So, I will not ask for much except for your tolerance of his presence." RGQC then turned to Adam, who tensed up with his hand on his weapon. "The same goes for you, ok, Taurus? No violence here, or you will be incapacitated, as I told you earlier."
"I… understand…" Adam gritted his teeth as he shuffled his feet to one of the empty seats far away from everyone. And as Adam made his way across everyone, all he got were glares or, in those who knew him, uncertainty or terrified in Blake's case. But none chose to act over their desire not to piss off their host.
Letting out another sigh, RGQC snapped his fingers, and everyone was no longer muted. "Now then, before we do anything, Adam, care to remove your mask for a moment? I can heal you and remove that awful scar from your face."
"You can?" Adam sounded almost surprised as the realm lord appeared before the bull Faunus. And with a simple nod, RGQC confirmed while nearly everyone was confused about what the realm lord meant by that.
"I can. All I ask is to allow me to see it so I can heal it." The realm lord asked softly. "Just trust me, ok? I know how difficult it can be for you, but I can help you." For a moment, the realm lord was worried that Adam wouldn't oblige his request and make him look like an idiot, but thankfully, that's not the case.
"This better be true…" Adam muttered, and for the first time in a long while, everyone, including the Schnees, was horrified when they saw the scarred branding of the SDC on the bull Faunus's left eye.
"By the brothers…" Kali muttered with eyes vast as her husband shared the same reaction.
"I now understand why he wore a mask when he joined us all those years ago."
"Father did that?" Weiss's hands shoot up just over her mouth in horror as she mutters. "That's… that's… illegal…"
"Adam… is this why you hate the Schnee's this badly? You never told anyone about it…" Blake could only softly whisper while Ilia could only blankly stare, appalled by what she saw.
"As if I hated father even more now…" Winter agreed as her eyes were also wide. "I heard of the mistreatment of Faunuses in the mines was rough. I… never knew he made it this bad…"
"Damn, what the hell?" Sun expressed his dismay as his teammates were too stunned to react.
"That's fuck up man." Coco's mouth opened as she brought her sunglasses down momentarily before realising it was a mistake and pulling it back up.
"I can't believe Jacques did this to someone… This is against Atlasteans law." Ironwood was at a loss for words, as Adam angrily pointed out.
"THIS!" Adam pointed at the SCD scar with his finger as he continued to yell out with hate. "This is what the SDC has done to me! And I am one of the hundreds who shared this fate! And none of you humans did anything as we Faunuses toiled in the mines with this treatment! And you wonder why we, the White Fang, fight against the Schnee Dust Company!"
Everyone was made silent by Adam's statement as RGQC sighed softly. Sure, there are worse people out in the multiverse, but Jacques is one of the people the realm lord dislikes for this. This is just unnecessarily cruel and serves no purpose but to ruin lives. "Ok, Adam, back on me so I can rid you of this scar." The realm lord says as a ball of light gathers in his hand.
"You sure you want to heal a terrorist here?" Mercury questioned as most of the audience hesitated to disagree with the realm lord. Yet after seeing the scar banded onto Adam's face, they understood why RGQC wished to help him.
"Yes, I am Mercury. Everyone here is a guest and will get the same treatment, regardless of background. I did, after all, help restore your legs. So, it's only fitting I help him with his scar. Now, close your eyes, Adam." RGQC explained, and with hesitation, Adam did as the realm lord requested as he rested his plan on the SDC scar. A blinding flash of white soon erupted and dissipated as RGQC could be seen pulling his hand away from Adam's face.
"Can you see from your left eye?" The realm lord asks as his cat ears twitch while Adam spends several seconds blinking, his hand slowly shifting up and touching where the SDC scar was supposed to be. And for a long time, Adam was in shock.
"The brand… That damn brand is gone…" Adam mutters in disbelief as RGQC summoned a mirror into his hands and holds it in front of the bull Faunus's face. Adam's eyes widen further upon seeing his face without the SDC scar and that his left eye works again.
"Good." A satisfied smile grew on the realm lord's face as he hummed and blinked back to the front of the theatre. RGQC then clapped his hands to gather everyone's attention. "With that out of the way, we can continue where we left off. But first." RGQC snapped his fingers as Adam's eyes glowed momentarily at the memories flowing into his mind.
"Hump… We're following a drunk…" Adam grunts at what he has missed as he wears his mask again. Despite the SDC scar now gone from his face, Adam isn't comfortable without his mask after wearing it for years.
"Alright. Let us continue after the previous mission. Felt like it had been two months since we resumed." RGQC muttered as Weiss raised an eyebrow at his words.
"Excuse me? What do you mean by that, RGQC?"
"Don't worry about that. It is just that sometimes we realm lords forget the passage of time." The realm lord explained as he sat on his chair. "Alright, QAI, do your job."
[Affirmative.] QAI could then be heard as Adam flinched for a second while the theatre lights closed right before a text
Hyperion Cantina - 6 Hours Later
"Six hours after what was a nightmare…" Blake dryly commented as everyone could only agree while those who knew Summer glanced at the elder rose with worry.
"Yup. But good to know that he has people watching over him." Yang adds in.
The screen soon shows Raynor minding his business as he drinks another shot of alcohol with Bourbon Cowboys playing in the background. Another thing of notice was that Tychus was not actively present by Raynor's side, as if he was somewhere else on the ship.
"Huh… where's that Tychus guy?" Sun asks as his team glances at each other before Neptune speaks up.
"Could be at the bridge like that other time with Tosh? Seems to be the case if they had something vital to say, yeah?"
"Guess that makes sense…" Jaune mutters as he agrees with the blue-haired boy as they continue watching.
And as Raynor poured himself another shot, the UNN news network on the TV screen above began playing as the commander lazily looked up.
- Tyrador clean-up operation in full swing - 2nd fleet regroups at Dylarian shipyards - Palace advisors say rationing to be extended to utility items - Kyla Velassi breaks down on stand. Velassi: I'm the victim! - Prince Valerian to take part in naval operations -
"Ok… besides that star lady going having a mental breakdown, looks like the Dominion has ordered rationing for utilities." Coco muttered as Velvet added in.
"Doesn't that mean the war's not going in their favour?"
"Seems to be the case, Bun Bun. Heard that the only time rationing happens when they're running out of them." Coco guessed as she sipped her coffee.
"That is correct, Ms Adel." Ozpin then chose to join in, as he explains. "Rationing also prevents the prices of food or utilities, in this case, from rising too high due to scarcity."
"Is no one gonna point out that the pretty boy prince just decided to participate in naval operations?" Yang points out as giggles break out when Yang calls Prince Valerian a pretty boy. Which he is in hindsight.
"I wonder what's going on with him…" Blake rubbed her chin as they watched as the camera panned towards the TV screen as Kate could be seen on screen reporting.
"Kate Lockwell for UNN. The elusive Queen of Blades was spotted on Tyrador recently. Dr. Emil Narud head of the renowned Moebius Foundation, had a run-in with the alien queen, but is currently unavailable for comment." Kate explains as a photo of Narud appears on the screen as she continues reporting.
"Good to know that Kate's still good at her job." Tai hummed… "Reminds me of Lisa Lavender in a way…"
"Professional to the core and willing to expose the truth?" Qrow added in as Torchwick chuckled.
"Ah, Lisa, It's been a while since I heard her name… perhaps I should check on her when we're done here." That earned ludicrous stares from everyone, even Ozpin and Ironwood were surprised that Lisa came into contact with Roman.
"The hell's the look for? If it wasn't for yours truly, I provided Lisa with the evidence against Beatrix Browning's misdeeds. If not for that, those spiders would still influence Vale."
"Which you took over their place." Blake dryly adds in as Neo laughs while Torchwick smugly smiles as he folds his arms.
"How else am I supposed to become a criminal mastermind?" Then, rolling their eyes, everyone returned their eyes to the screen.
"In a statement, Dr. Narud credited Raynor's Raiders with keeping the Queen of Blades from achieving her –"
Only for Kate to be rudely interrupted by Donny as he cuts in as he usually does. "Kate, I'm sorry to interrupt, but we have a breaking story... apparently…" Donny began looking off-camera and was caught off guard as the camera zoomed back to show part of the stage. "um, go to – go to – commercial. Please, commercial." Donny continues as the stage lights close, much to the audience's amusement.
"Well, that's awkward for him." Ren lets out a soft chuckle as others agree with him. At the same time, the more serious of the audience were wondering how UNN News Network was getting away with this.
And that was followed by a creepy-as-hell advertisement that began playing in Donny's stead. (Honestly, how does THIS count as gov advert for Ghosts of all things?! Wtf!)
"What goes bump in the night? it Might be your GIFTED child. Register your child with Psi-Ops today. It's the law. It's your duty." So, the advert says as it shows a child's eyes glowing in the darkness before more glowing eyes could be seen in the dark before the Psi-Ops emblem appeared on the screen.
Everyone could only blankly blink at that advert that just played on screen. Even their newest newcomer didn't know how to react to that.
"That ain't that creepy at all…" Emerald sarcastically commented on it as Penny joined in.
"I believe it's an advertisement to enlist children with psionic potential into Ghosts from what I can tell! But yes, it is unusually eerie for an advertisement and likely serves as an upfront approach to recruitment." Everyone could simply nod their heads in agreement. Then again, they're reminded that the Dominion made it mandatory for psionic children to join the Ghost Corps.
Bringing his eyes away from the screen, Raynor finished his shot before he looked up to see Tosh signalling to him. No doubt the Spectre wishes to speak to him again. With a simple shrug, Raynor stood from his chair and approached Tosh.
"Looks like our resident Spectre wishes to talk again," Qrow mumbled as his sister asked.
"I wonder why…" Raven hummed for a moment. "Must be related to the recent mission."
"Or something else entirely," Tai adds.
And once he did, the Spectre leader scoffed as he spoke. "He's a bad, bad man that Tychus. He got a lot to hide." Tosh explained as Raynor gave a puzzled look. The same could be said about the audience.
"Huh… Then again, Tosh has been watching people, and he did warn that something's not right with Tychus." Yang muttered. "Whatcha think, Blake?" She then asks her partner, who shrugs in response.
"Could be. I'm sure he can explain it."
"You think he's setting us up?" Raynor asks as his head subtly shakes. "His missions have been leading us straight to Kerrigan…"
"A part of me wishes to say that it's a coincidence that Raynor kept running into Kerrigan for the artifacts, but it's clear she wants them for a reason." Pyrrha wonders before Ruby joins in and suggests.
"Or perhaps they are different from what they appear?"
"Maybe you and Kerrigan keeping runnin' into each other because you both want the same thing? But Tychus - there's something else he don't want you to know." Tosh offered his theory as to why before changing the topic as he got serious.
"I can't see what. Just watch your back. Always remember that he's a force o' destruction that one... a stone killer."
"Ok. Tosh really doesn't trust Tychus at all. Then again, being a psychic help." Neo muttered as she ate some ice cream while Adam silently watched how everyone acted so calmly. The bull Faunus then rolls his eyes underneath his mask before returning to the screen. Perhaps these humans could at least entertain him…
Though… he could also learn something here… And why is he so calm about it?
"Right. Will do." Raynor concludes as he leaves the cantina before the screen darkens for a moment. It then lights up again in the Armoury as Raynor can be seen fiddling around with the Armoury console while Swann can be heard talking out while glancing at the table in his hand. There was also a medivac now present at the back of the armoury.
"Ooh! The medivacs are now there!" Penny observed before Sun chuckled as he spoke.
"Do you mean heal bus?" A grin grew on the monkey Faunuses face as laughter broke out from several of the audience while Adam remained confused about what was happening.
"I don't like them artifacts. Machinery I understand. Weapons, no problem. Those artifacts... they're like magic or somethin'." Swann muttered out as, for a moment, Raynor had to stifle a chuckle, yeah. He can understand his chief engineer's comments.
Knowing what was coming up, Pietro took out the tablet from his coat and began reading it while Penny shuffled closer to her father to have a look. And it wasn't long before Pietro hummed. "Interesting… It appears that the 19th Dominion Marine Division medics had improvised the medivacs to be remotely controlled during acid storms on Thalon. VII"
"Acid storms? I guess that's natural on that planet." Ilia then asked as RGQC confirmed.
"Yes. Thalon VII environment is unique due to its tendency to have rain acid or acid storms if the weather gets rough enough. It was there when the Terran Dominion's 19th Marine Division developed the first medivac dropships. Which also adds an additional ten minutes to the medic's life expectancy." The realm lord glanced to the side as he got ludicrous looks.
"Probably from the acid rains." He added in.
"Seriously? Just ten minutes extra to life expectancy?" Coco muttered in disbelief.
"Right…" Robyn mutters as she glances at the bull Faunus terrorist. She still wonders why the realm lord's sister (Who knew they were blood-related. Somewhat.) insisted on allowing him to join them. Then again, they have a criminal mastermind and his henchwoman with them here, and so far, they've been compliant with the realm lord's rules.
"All these talks about planetary bodies and their unique biomes make me curious, RGQC," Ruby said. "Do you know of any interesting planets you've seen in the multiverse?" The little rose then asked as the realm lord hummed.
"Unique planets huh? Yes, there are plenty of them, actually…" RGQC then held his left hand up as a planet that had only an endless sea appeared in his hand. "There's one which is called aquatic worlds. Planets which one-hundred per cent of the surface covered in water. They are sometimes known as Aquatic Paradises, and sometimes even harboured intelligent life within its waters."
The realm lord explained before he lifted his right hand, before another planet appeared in his hand. However, this one is a densely forested world with a massive megaflora tree that is so large that it stretches over the entire planet, and its roots are so large they could be seen from orbit. The realm lord then extended his hands towards his guests as the planets floated towards them. With Ruby and Jaune each getting one of the planets in their hands.
"That forested planet we call a megaflora world," RGQC explained as Ruby observed the densely forested world in her hands. "A world that is densely forested with a healthy hydro-sphere. And this world is home to the giant megaflora tree, which stretches over the entire planet. In addition, its roots are gigantic enough, and each root is kilometres wide and long which means you can see it clearly from orbit."
The realm lord explains as team RWBY could be seen taking turns passing the megaflora world to each other before passing it to the others. The same could be said for team JNPR observing an Aquatic world in their leader's hands. Along with Nora proclaiming that they're the rulers of an ocean world.
The realm lord could only smile as the megaflora world floated towards Adam, who looked unsure what to do with it as he spoke. "One more thing, with medivacs now available to him, Raynor had chosen to upgrade it with a healing AI that allows the medivac to heal two allied targets at once simultaneously."
"That sounds indeed useful!" Penny smiled as she was next to get the Aquatic world in her hands as she and Pietro observed how such worlds are possible.
Raynor could then be seen leaving the Armoury as the screen then takes them to the Laboratory, where he could read the console before turning to Ariel, who he could tell had questions on her mind.
"'Lot of rumors goin' around. I'm guessin' you've heard plenty about me and Kerrigan by now…" Raynor muttered before Ariel asked for confirmation as the camera cut to her.
"Are the stories true? That Mengsk just... abandoned her to the Zerg on Tarsonis?" Ariel asks as it cuts back to Raynor.
"And fed billions to the Zerg…" Neptune dryly commented as everyone agreed, as did Adam. Mengsk proves that Humanity are monsters. But RGQC's words from earlier still linger in the bull Faunus's mind.
"Her...plus a few billion innocent civilians." He added before continuing. "After that we knew exactly what kind of man we'd been dealing with."
Without a beat, Raynor continues. "I don't care about much of anything anymore, but the one thing I hold onto is seeing Mengsk brought to justice before I die." And with that, Raynor silently left the laboratory.
"Well… I guess when you couldn't care anymore, finishing the job before dying sounds appealing." Tai mumbles as Summer adds in as she holds the megaflora world in her hands.
"Yeah. But I doubt the Dominion nor Mengsk will be easy to defeat."
The screen soon lights up again to show the Hyperion Bridge before the door opens as Raynor walks into it. And as some had speculated earlier, Tychus was there minding his own business as he tinkered with a console while Matt turned away from the star map and smiled at his commander.
"Looks like you're right, but you're still a nerd." Sun grinned as he poked fun at his partner, who frowned before jabbing him in the arm.
"Intellectual, Sun."
"Nope! Still a nerd!"
"Shut up."
"Good see you, sir. All available missions are ready for your perusal on the star map." Raynor noticeably stopped walking as he scratched his head almost awkwardly.
"Matt... I. Hell, just thanks, I guess." That alone got a simple smile from his second.
"It is good to know that Raynor has people looking out for him. Despite his issues." Ozpin hummed.
"It is that, or Matt believes in his commander's revolution for a better future this much." Glynda chose to speak after her headmaster, who simply took a sip as the screen continued.
"No problem, sir." Raynor's Second-in-command said as he glanced at Tychus in the background. "Your convict friend wishes to talk to you about something." Matt explained as Raynor looked at his partner before nodding at his Second-in-command.
"Thanks, I'll talk to him." And with that, Matt turned his eyes away from his commander and back onto the star map while Raynor walked towards his partner, who heard his footsteps.
"I wonder what our convict friend wishes to say, though I doubt we can trust him since both his second and Tosh fella don't trust him at all." Mercury wonders out as he bit into some bread he summoned.
In the meantime, RGQC could be seen reading a book he summoned called Idiots Guide to Dealing with annoying siblings. While at the same time, a mug of a bubbly purple liquid could be seen floating next to him as the realm lord flipped the pages.
"Jimmy. You know, I been thinking about Tyrador, and you know - there's gotta be better ways to make a fast buck than divin' headlong into an alien invasion." Tychus grumbled out as a smirk grew on Raynor's lips.
"If it gets too hairy for ya', just try and think of the money."
"Of course…" Winter rolled her eyes. "Money will convince him to remove his doubts…"
"I'm trying, old buddy. I'm trying real hard." Tychus explained as Raynor smiled at his partner before he walked back to Matt and stared at the star map. Sucking some air into his lungs, the commander gave an order to his second.
"Matt, time we head out of here." Raynor said as Matt simply nodded his head as he pressed a button on the console before the camera panned so the audience could see the next destination. While Haven and Valhalla remained available for Raynor to choose from, there was a new one in the form of a planet called Typhon XI.
"How fascinating! A new mission is available!" Penny helpfully observed as everyone nodded at the android in hiding.
"I wonder what's on that mission going to be like?" Jaune wondered as Weiss hummed while sipping on some water.
"There's only one way to find out."
Glancing at his options for a second, curious about the newly available choice, Raynor selects Typhon XI as Tychus could be seen in the background taking a peek. Then, without anyone's input, the convict walked towards Matt and Raynor.
"Moebius've got themselves set-up again since the zerg chased 'em outta their old place. They say they've worked out where to find another artifact, lovely little place called Typhon." Tychus chuckled. "Why not go there, eh partner? Shouldn't it be too hard to smash and grab it?"
"Another artifact mission? I'm surprised Mobius managed to set up shop again this fast after the last mission." Glynda wonders as Mercury chuckles.
"Well, this all better be worth the payment. Those Tal'darim sure do get pissy when you try to touch it. Then again, if we were to think about it. Raynor's invading their colony worlds to steal artifacts of their faith and sell those for money."
"Wow…now that I think about it, I feel bad for them…" Emerald muttered as everyone processed his words.
Yeah… Mercury made a good point. Are they the baddies?
Raynor simply glanced at his partner before going to Matt, who gestured that it was up to him to decide. Then, bringing his attention back to the star map, Raynor concluded.
"Matt, set a course to Typhon XI. Might as well snag us another artifact in the meantime." Raynor ordered.
"Understood sir." And with that, the screen darkens.
[Notice.] QAI could suddenly be heard. [Typhon XI is a remote world that is part of an extremely old system, as indicated by its increasingly unstable sun. This, combined with sparse mineral deposits, has always made Typhon a challenging candidate for colonisation. Nonetheless, a significant Tal'darim expeditionary force is present on the planet.]
"Increasingly unstable sun? Wait, suns can get unstable?" Yang mutters out in confusion as RGQC nods and stands up.
"Explaining everything will take time, so I'll keep this short. All suns have a life span of billions of years, depending on their size and undergo a process in their cores called nuclear fusion, in which Hydrogen is converted into helium. And is during this process, some of the mass is converted into energy, which is emitted as light and heat." The realm lord explained as Pietro could be seen scribbling down the information while Penny silently recorded it.
"But as they grow older, they will eventually exhaust their hydrogen supply and become more unstable before they grow in size and likely destroy the planets orbiting the sun at the time. Larger suns tend to… explode violently upon the end of the life cycle." RGQC explained as everyone could only blink at the realm lord.
"Don't worry about it. The libraries on this are available for you to read and fret not. The sun Remnant's orbiting around is still relatively young. It will be a long while before it dies." RGQC said as he sat down while everyone tried their best to process it.
"Thanks for the pep talk… Definitely made us feel better…" Qrow dryly commented.
The screen then lights up to show Raynor, Matt and Tychus looking at a screen that shows a wasteland planet, which the audience could guess is Typhon XI orbing around a blue star.
"There she is - planet Typhon. Don't look so bad." Tychus observed, while some of the audiences had a bad feeling after listening to QAI's notice of this system's increasingly unstable sun.
"You know, when someone says it doesn't look so bad, it's gonna get worse. I just know it." Neptune muttered as Fox joined in.
"Yeah. Gotta bad feeling about what's to come." Everyone simply nodded that, yeah, it was likely that something would go wrong.
"Yep. Sensors indicate..." Matt was in the middle of his comment when suddenly, an alarm began blaring as the camera panned towards the screen. It showed Typhon orbiting around its sun when it suddenly went white, much to everyone's shock and confusion.
"Uh oh. This is not good." Penny observed as Emerald snarked.
"Ya think?"
"Wait, what the -" Matt could only utter before the flash of light onscreen dissipated to something that stunned the audience. The once blue star smaller than the planet now appears to have grown substantially, and it's now almost engulfing the planet itself.
"How the-?!" Raven's eyes were wide, as so were the others.
"The star's energy output just jumped five hundred percent! I've never seen anything like it!" Matt read the sensor report as it cuts to him before going to Raynor.
"Five-hundred percent?!" Weiss pretty much screaked with surprise. "How does that happen that fast in the span of a second?!" The Schnee heiress asked out as the realm lord kept quiet the whole time.
"Slow down, Matt. What's it mean?" Raynor asked his second in command, who explained it.
"It means the star will go nova in a few hours." Matt explained as it cuts to show the surface of the planet. And much of it is getting hit by a wall of fire, with the local native alien wildlife running away from the oncoming heat and flames. "Meantime the planet's getting bombarded by waves of fire…" Raynor's second continued.
"Guess the local wildlife's screwed." Roman could only shakily shake off the dreaded feeling.
Neo then chose to add in. "Yea… no way off the planet, which is getting toasted by the sun…"
"There's… nothing they could do for them?" Ruby asked as RGQC shook his head.
"It's unfortunate for the local life that their sun chose to go nova. And they are not the main targets. The artifact under the Tal'darim is still their primary focus."
And hearing the realm lords' comment made most of the Huntsmans-in-training downcast as the screen continued.
"Fire. Why does it always have to be fire…" Raynor could only wonder as Matt brought some good news as it cut to him.
"The good news is, we've got a significant cache of supplies planetside, so we shouldn't need to build supply depots." He explained.
"So, there's no need to build supply depots in this mission. That's good, thanks to that fire…" Ilia observed as the Belladonna matriarch agreed.
"Yes, that appears to be the case, Ms Amitola."
The screen then cuts back to Raynor taking a step forward as he leans against the star map before asking an important question. "Well, that's something. So where's our artifact?"
The screen then cuts to show a massive Tal'darim base as the artifact shrine could be seen right in the middle as Tychus could be heard answering his partner's question. "Right there - smack dab in the middle of all them protoss…"
"You kidding me?" Yang could only mutter in disbelief at what Raynor's men would do. "They have to keep ahead of the flames and somehow go through all that defences and guys just to get the artifact?"
"Well… I'm sure they would get something to help them out…" Ruby did her best to assure her big sister as the screen continued.
Then the screen cuts to show some of Raynor's men already on the planet making a move as SCVs could be seen making their way into the command centre before it, a barracks, factory and starport too off from the ground and began flying away as the wall of fire drew in ever closer. "Our mobile structures can relocate and keep us just ahead of the fire, but we'll need to salvage everything we can't take with us."
"You ain't seriously goin' down there?" Tychus could only ask his partner in disbelief at the massive gamble Raynor was taking right now.
"I hate to admit, but I agree with the convict," Ironwood stated his words as fact. "It's too risky to go down there. Who knows how much time before the planet goes nova, as Matt says."
"Unless you have a better idea of getting the artefact, we're all ears, Jimmy." Qrow dryly commented as Winter glared at the veteran Huntsman for a moment.
"He has a point, though…" Neo muttered as she glanced at Torchwick, who was drinking wine.
"Yep." The criminal mastermind chuckled. "Why don't we leave it to the professionals, huh? Tin can?" That expectedly earned more glares from those from Atlas except Penny, who remained quiet and somewhat oblivious to what was happening.
The screen then cuts to Raynor, still leaning on the star map as he assures his partner. "C'mon partner, we got hours 'till that sun explodes!" Raynor assured as Tychus seemed convinced enough.
"Well let's grab that artifact and get outta here before your Queen of Blades shows up lookin' for it." And with that, the screen darkens.
"I guess this mission will be similar to the first time Raynor has to get the artefact, except this time, he's racing against the wall of flames instead of Zerg," Robyn mutters as everyone agrees. "I am not sure whether that's any better…"
"Don't worry, Ms Hill!" Ruby assured the Huntress, "I'm sure Raynor can handle this!"
That just made the Huntress turned politician let out an amused chuckle. "That I hope. He has proven to be a capable leader and commander so far."
The screen lights up to show a somewhat beautiful landscape as the wall of fire can be seen not too far in the distance alongside the massive blue star that can be seen in the skies.
"Holy-! That's terrifying to see it on the surface!" Sun was the first to speak, as everyone else was too stunned at the rare sight of a blue sun too close to the planet.
"Bloody hell…" Adam, for the first time since this mission started, muttered out.
Before anything else could happen, the audience, for a moment, caught the sight of something cloaked flying past them as the screen glowed blue to reveal the aircrafts the audience had seen under the Dominion in the breakout of New Folsom"
"Yeah! We got Banshees on this mission!" Ruby cheered.
"I wonder how those aircraft can help here…" Summer wonders as her husband assures her.
"Eh, I'm sure we'll see them in action.
Swann made a screen appearance as the squad of Banshees flew towards their destination. "Hope you brought your sun-screen, cowboy."
Swann's snarky comment made most of the less mature audience laugh, even more so when Raynor appeared on screen and dryly responded back.
"Now ain't the time, Swann."
But Swann didn't care about his commander's dry reaction, as he explained. "Relax, hotshot. I got something useful for ya'; Banshees. These babies can blow the snot outta ground forces. Got cloaking too. Gotta love that!" Swann explained as the Banshees could be seen unleashing their missiles on a poor stalker and his pylon girlfriend.
Even more so when the Banshees began to use their manoeuvrability and circle around the poor stalker who attempted to fight back by shooting its Particle disruptor everywhere to no avail as every one of those shots missed their targets.
Torchwick whistles as the Banshees continue after eliminating that lonely stalker alongside the pylon near it. "Man. Those things are quick, and I didn't know they could just dance around their target like that."
"Must be those twin turbofans RGQC talked about earlier…" Neo added in as the realm lord nodded his head.
"Yup. Banshees are powered by relatively low-thrust and inexpensive VTOL turbofans capable of operating only in an atmosphere and coupled with a fantail rotor assembly for steering and banking of the aircraft. The turbofans themselves are sturdy, simple in design, and relatively easy to maintain, and they allow for indefinite loitering with minimal noise, which is perfect for stealth operations when combined with cloaking."
The realm lord explained as QAI joined in. [The Banshee was designed to be both economical and practical. They are ideal aircraft for tactical strikes, built specifically to provide air support for frontline infantry. As a result, they are heavily optimised for their intended role. Its standard armament is air-to-ground Backlash rockets.]
[They are air-to-ground ordinances designed to burn through the heaviest neo-steel plating known to humanity. But the shoddy guidance systems in these munitions and massively known for collateral damage in urban settings have earned the Banshee an infamous reputation as a Dominion terror weapon.]
"Oh… it still sounds cool minus the collateral damage. And use as a terror weapon…" Ruby muttered.
As for Adam, his mind wondered for a moment what would have happened if the White Fang had some of this human machinery. It would make them incredibly hard to stop since they are more manoeuvrable and faster than average Bullheads. And that alone would allow them to strike hard and fast.
Zipping onwards while at the same time decloaking to save energy, the Banshee squad soon encountered a somewhat suitable location for a base, the only problem was that it didn't appear to have many minerals left in the area, and it had a Tal'darim outpost in a way with photon cannons. As they slow down upon getting closer to the Protoss outpost, Swann appears on screen again to give a warning.
"Well, at least we know where Raynor's first base will be." Weiss concludes as Mercury joins.
"Not much minerals, though. Doubt they can stay here long thanks to that and the firewall at the back."
"That is true, friend Mercury!" Penny happily joins in. "The amount of minerals here could only last them four minutes max!"
"How the hell do you even calculate that?" The mercenary then asked as Penny just smiled at him.
"I'm just that intelligent friend Mercury!"
"Alright…"
"Whoa! Careful of those Protoss cannons! They can detect banshees even when they're cloaked!" He warned as the camera zoomed into one of the banshees to show a woman wearing a suit and piloting it.
"Lookie! it's the ladies' time to shine right now!" Nora could only grin with excitement.
"Yeah!" Several of the girls in the theatre agreed with Nora.
"Yeah?" She asked with a hand on her helmet as she began nodding. Second quickly passes before the pilot shakes her head. "No problem." She said as everyone watched as the Banshee pilot pressed several buttons on the panels inside the cockpit before several things happened simultaneously.
First, a visor came down from the top of her suit and covered her eyes before teal lines could be seen. Secondly, metal sheets could be seen extending from outside the cockpit and covering the windshields. And then, the camera quickly pulls out to show the Banshees beginning to cloak and hide their presence.
"Cool!" Ruby and several others could only be in awe at how the Banshee seemingly cloaks, while those from Atlas were intrigued by the equipment and technology needed for that to happen.
The screen continues as the Banshee squad flies and unleashes a bombardment of the first photon cannon in the way as they quickly disengage before the defensive cannon can land a direct hit on them. Unfortunately, that also attracted the attention of a stalker who came over to assist in the defence.
Watching the scene before them attracted Ironwood's attention. "Interesting… Using hit-and-run attacks… just as they were made to do."
"That is the case, General." Winter agrees.
As the stalker attempted to chase after the Banshee's harassing the photon cannon and even blinking forward to catch up to them, Raynor's Banshee squad did a sudden one-eighty. And they launched all their Backlash rocket at the stalker, who caught it off guard and was destroyed in a hail of missiles with its blink on cooldown.
To say the sights of rockets exploding entertained Nora would be an understatement, while others were caught off guard by how fast those Banshees rotated around. Not even their Bullheads in Remnant could turn that fast in an instant.
"How are the pilots inside still ok after that turning speed?" Blake wondered as RGQC smiled as he addressed the cat Faunus's question.
"Training."
"Training?" Velvet asked as she tilted her head while her ears twitched.
"Yes." The realm lord confirmed as he explained. "There's a process in the multiverse called G-force training or High-g training. The training is mostly done on aviators and astronauts subjected to high acceleration levels or g-force for a while. It is designed to prevent a g-induced loss of consciousness, a situation when the action of g-forces moves the blood away from the brain to the extent that consciousness is lost."
RGQC explained as everyone nodded their head slowly. "It is understandable why Remnant does not need such training from the start due to it not being needed with your Bullheads. But yeah, there are cases in which pilots in an aircraft move or turn so fast in the air they pass out mid-air, which has caused fatal accidents before."
"How interesting!" Penny had a wide smile on her face. "I am under the assumption that all pilots are required to undergo this training process?"
"Yes, it is necessary to train the pilot and their bodies on resisting the effects of g-forces on their bodies. They also wear a special kind of suit to assist in such matters. Perhaps in the future, I could show you how it is done. It mostly involves spinning the poor guy in a circle quickly for 30 seconds if I'm right." And the screen continues with a smile from everyone except a select few.
The screen continues as Raynor's Banshee squad moves in and focuses fire on the first photon cannon. However, one of the Banshees did take at least a hit and a graze from its Phase disruptor projectiles. And once it was destroyed, Raynor ordered them to take out the pylon and clear this outpost so they could establish a landing zone.
"That's a close one of that one." Roman comments as one of the turbofans on the Banshee was damaged and on fire. Yet, the aircraft was relatively functional.
"It is amazing how resilient the Terrans are even when against a highly advanced race and a hive mind of alien bugs, which fully intend on assimilating everything." Neo added in as Adam could be heard scoffing in the background but chose not to say anything.
And upon the destruction of the second photon cannon, which was deactivated after its power source was destroyed, the camera pans to the side to show a command centre, barracks, factory, starport and a dropship closing in fast.
"Nice job, let's get our base up and running and get that artifact!" Raynor appeared on screen as all of the Terran builds landed and began working on their addons while SCVs could be seen leaving for the minerals. At the same time, two marines and a single marauder jumped out of the dropship carrying them before it flew away.
"Yippie ki yay, fellas! Let's get that artifact and get outta here!" The marauder says before drop pods can be seen landing down and releasing more personnel to man the buildings while the damaged Banshee lands on the landing pad on the starport. And then the landing pad sank into the starport.
As all that was happening, Raynor's Adjutant appeared on the screen. "Warning. Fire wave approaching." It said as the camera peered away from Raynor's base and onto the oncoming firewall in the distance. And it's spreading incredibly fast. Much faster than any of them were expecting.
"Oh, it is like one of those time base games, huh?" Jaune muttered as Pyrrha agreed.
"It does seem like it," The redhead hums. "How long before those flames reach the landing zone?" She then asked as QAI answered her.
[Approximately six minutes.]
"Six minutes?!" Many of the guests could only express their shock at how little time the firewall would take to reach Raynor's landing zone.
"Guess they go to turn up the heat for this mission..." Yang joked/grumbled as Coco asked the blondie.
"Was that a stealth joke right there?"
"Yup." Yang said as several guests could only grumble or groan at Yang's pun. As for RGQC, he simply sighs before summoning a hammer in a shape of an axe, glancing at its design before letting it disappear into particles.
And before anything else could happen, Raynor's Adjutant could be heard again giving a notification that they were receiving a transmission. And it was everyone's favourite Tal'darim Executor, which Raynor had defeated thrice before, and he's back for the fourth time the charm!
"James Raynor! We anticipated your arrival! Now you will pay for desecrating our holy relics!" The Tal'darim Executor angrily monologues at Raynor's arrival upon the planet. Completely nonplussed that the sun will eventually consume the planet they're on.
"Is he seriously not concerned that the sun will destroy this world when it explodes?!" Weiss could only point out while irritated as many agreed with her. This guy doesn't know when to stop. Then again, Raynor didn't stop his revolution for years at this point.
Yet despite all that, Raynor sounded more annoyed than worried about the Tal'darim Executor threatening him again for the third time. "Oh hell, not these Tal'darim guys again. They seriously need to learn when to quit!"
"Yeah. Someone needs to shut him up." Emerald mutters before Sun chooses to join in.
"How they're going to do it? Last I checked, they talked telepathically and didn't have mouths to close shut."
"There is a way. You have to kill him to shut him up." Cinder points out as Raven dryly agrees.
"Sometimes, certain individuals deserve the bullet."
"I suspect this Tal'darim Executor has some form of psychosis," Penny added as several individuals looked her way. "It's just a theory, but the irrational behaviour and complete disregard for his force's lives suggest it."
Unaware to everyone, RGQC was left in thought. "Yeah… the fella was forced to mine Terrazine until he loses his sanity and goes insane." The realm lord glance to the side. "Then again, Terrazine is one hell of a recreational substance to us… Wasn't there a case in which a couple of realm lords were huffing that stuff as a bet on which could take the most out of that stuff that one time? Right… I have to put a bullet into their skulls to break them out of insanity in the aftermath when I was called in."
"Not fun… not fun at all dealing with Terrazine high realm lords... Too chaotic and disruptive for my liking."
As Raynor finished his annoyed speech, all of his production buildings got to work. They could be seen producing units while his Banshee squad headed quickly did a resupply at their starport before taking off and heading north to perform some surveillance of the area. In contrast, automated refineries got to work harvesting as much gas as possible.
All while the wall of flames can be seen creeping in slowly. At the same time, MULEs began to be dropped to harvest even more minerals before the camera began to follow Raynor's Banshee squad as they soon spotted a decent Tal'darim base north of their current position.
"Huh, there's a Tal'darim base up there?" Jaune wonders up as Nora jumps in.
"More explosions time!" She cackled as the screen continued.
"I've noticed something." The Invincible Girl spoke up, which garnered attention to herself. "Most of the buildings are heavily clustered around a single pylon." The redhead said as she pointed at the pylon in the middle of the base, sustaining numerous gateways and photon cannons.
"That means that Raynor just needs to focus down those pylons to deactivate them." A smile grew on Jaune's face. "That's pretty observant of you, Pyrrha." The cheeks on the Champion of Mistral began to glow red as RGQC chuckled at the sight of the redhead blushing at Jaune's complement.
With the base's main entrance blocked off by Protoss guards and Photon cannons, Raynor's Banshees detoured and went behind the base and at the mineral lines. What followed was a massacre of probes and attracting the attention of stalkers. Even then, they were quickly picked off one by one as the Banshees swerved and weaved around to avoid as much damage as they could.
"Poor probies…" Nora mourned the loss of those adorable probes as a single missile was needed to obliterate those mineral miners.
And once they are done, Raynor's banshees begin taking out all the pylons in the base and rendering every single Tal'darim structure in the base without power and useless.
The camera then pans back towards Raynor's base as a siege tank can be seen in siege mode, as more marines, marauders, and goliaths can also be seen. Also, a medivac was now in the air on standby.
"And in the meantime, Mr Raynor has been busy getting his man together." Ozpin observed as he sipped his hot chocolate.
And before they could do anything else, the thundering sound of the siege tank's shock cannons firing shook the ground and alerted everyone that hostile forces were in range. That is true when a group of Tal'darim Zealots suddenly appeared and charged into the base.
"Contact! Contact!" Marine yelled out as marauders unleashed their concussive grenades, which slowed the Zealots down just enough for marines and a single siege tank to finish them off without casualties, except for the craters in the base and ruined paint jobs on the barracks.
"That was anticlimactic." Neptune could only admit as Ilia agreed.
"Yeah, it is. Then again, I doubt much could survive constant barrages of 180mm cannons like that." The chameleon Faunus uttered as they watched as the siege tank packed up, and with marine and marauder escorts, they headed north.
Speaking of the Northern Tal'darim base, much of it was in ruins already when Raynor's ground forces arrived as the Banshee squad flew back to base with their cloaks deactivated with the lack of threats. And it didn't take long for Raynor's ground forces to do a quick sweep-up and retreat as the sea of flame was getting uncomfortably close.
To drive the point further that the sea of flames was getting closer by the second, Raynor's Adjutant appeared on the screen. "Warning! Fire wave arrival is imminent. Base evacuation required!" It explains as Matt soon joined on screen.
"The Tal'darim outpost to the east would make an excellent location to move our base to - we just need to clear them out and take possession." Matt explains as the camera pans over to a large outpost that has defenders all over it.
"Sheesh, that's a lot of guys blocking at the next outpost," Mercury muttered as they all spotted several immortals and a colossus in the outpost. Even more so was the presence of Zealots, sentries and stalkers with photon cannons at the edges of the base.
"Fella's not holding back with throwing his guys at Raynor." Emerald concludes as Adam silently watched how powerful the guns of these humans, or Terrans, as they called themselves, were in battle. Even more, so that they could rival even more advanced races.
As the camera panned back to Raynor's landing Zone, several more medivacs could now be seen flying in the air, as do more marines, marauders and three additional siege tanks.
"Why the hell did I agree to come along on this mission?" The audience could hear one of the marines grumbling as a cigar was in his mouth.
Because you were supposed to show up in the other mission the Commander had on Tyrador VIII, but you caught the flu." Another marine deadpanned before opening a canned drink he pulled from a pouch on his suit.
"The hell you get that from? Don't you have another to share?" The marine with the cigar asked as the other marine he talked to shook his head.
"I pulled it out from my ass, and no. I do not have another to give you." He said dryly after drinking the canned drink in one go before tossing it on the ground and stepping on it as the other marine frowned. Seconds passed before Raynor could be heard on their comms, and with a nod, they left the base.
"Guess some of those guys don't like working together." Blake deadpanned while Weiss agreed.
"I concur. But must they be so crass about it?"
The screen then pans as it follows Raynor's forces as Banshees can be seen flying ahead while cloaked and unleashing hell on any Tal'darim that got in the way. During this process, Raynor's men also stumbled across a Protoss Relic, which they picked up and kept moving forward. They then moved south and came across more Tal'darim forces and another expansion that everyone noted didn't have many mineral deposits. Frankly, the amount looked similar to the minerals in the initial landing zone.
"I presume that this is the next location Raynor has to move his command centre to continue mining operations?" Penny asks as RGQC nods his head.
"Yup. If you paid attention earlier to what QAI said. In that case, Typhon XI has sparse mineral deposits, and Raynor will have to keep moving his base, not only to avoid the sea of flames catching up but to ensure he has the necessary mineral income to build a force to penetrate the Tal'darim base guarding the shrine." Everyone simply nodded at the realm lord's explanation as the screen continued.
With the mineral expansion cleared, Raynor's forces moved onwards as Banshees made it hell for the Tal'darim. And not too far away was another group of Tal'darim warriors who were guarding another Protoss relic. They even have a scout over there watching it.
"You heard the boss! Get those tanks sieged up!" A marauder yelled out as the siege tanks did just that while more goliaths, marines and marauders joined in. While at the same time, Banshees began performing bombing runs which caused the Tal'darim warriors guarding to relic to notice and charge at Raynor's men.
To call it a cakewalk would be an understatement as Zealots, Stalkers, and Sentries get their asses blown up and shredded by Terran fire while the Scout in the air tried to perform a strafing run attack while launching missiles at the medivacs. It didn't last long as every Goliath and marine available poured every single round or missile into the aircraft.
Sure, a couple of Raynor's men got wounded or war machines damaged during the Scout's attack run, but a lucky hit to the cockpit by a missile from a goliath took it down as it crashed into a ravine. And conveniently enough, Raynor's command centre could also be seen flying in with several other buildings that could fly as well.
All while the sea of fire could be seen not too far from them.
"I'm still amazed that Raynor's guys are still rather calm about the whole planet about to be engulfed in flames." Torchwick admitted. "I would have freaked out and tried to leave this place."
"Well, they have dropships to take them out of here if needed. So, I doubt that is what they should be worried about here." Ilia casually said as she popped a strawberry into her mouth. "I think they're more concerned about them trying to get the artifact without dying in the process."
As Raynor's men regrouped and replenished as soon as the command centre had landed, all the medivacs and banshees began to land onto the ground as SCVs could be seen moving in to patch them up of any damages they took. The camera quickly pans over to the landing site to show that the sea of flames has begun to reach it.
And to their horror, they could only watch as the automated refinery slowly melted under the intense heat. Neo-steel could be seen melting before the fire began to spread all over it. Seconds passed before the automatic refinery exploded in a flame of destructive glory once the vespine inside it caught ablaze.
Everyone winced upon witnessing the refinery exploding in flame. "Why did the camera show that happening anyways?" Weiss then asked as the realm lord shrugged.
"Eh, sometimes the recording can get a bit iffy at times. Nothing to worry about it, I'm sure." He says before the screen continues.
Soon, the screen pans back to Raynor's men, which had grown much more as drop pods could be seen arriving down to supply the men with more munitions as personnel to man the facilities. Also, there were more siege tanks and Banshees in the air, all hovering in the air once they had been repaired and refilled.
Then Raynor's Banshees squad flew north while his ground forces headed east towards the Tal'darim base. With any pause, the theatre screen spits itself into two, much to the surprise for those seeing it for the first time. The left screen displays Raynor's Banshees activating their cloak, while the screen on the right show Raynor's men on the move and escorting both siege tanks and Goliaths towards the outpost.
"It still amazes me how effectively Raynor is organising his men and ordering them to do certain objectives simultaneously." Glynda admits as Ironwood could be seen rubbing his chin. Come to think about it. Atlas has been at peace for so long that he doubts he or his soldiers could rival Raynor's tactical skills or his crew's combat experience.
With the plan on the go, Raynor's Banshee squad headed north until they stumbled upon another Protoss shrine guarded by photon cannons and a single pylon powering them. The camera quickly zoomed into the Banshee leading the squad as she could be seen bringing a hand onto her headset.
"Yeah? I got my ears on." She said with her eyes still watching over everything. As a couple of seconds passed before she nodded. "Alright, ladies! Weapons hot on the pylon and turbines to full!" She ordered as the camera zoomed out to show the Banshees forming a triangle formation before flying off.
"Isn't that risky going in like that to take out a pylon with the cannons in the way?" Jaune could only ask as Ren nodded his head.
"Yes. But I believe Raynor wants them to eliminate the pylon first." That was quickly followed by RGQC stepping into the conversation.
"Well, yes. We have a term for it, and it's called Alpha Strike. The idea is to hit the enemy hard and fast so they won't have time to retaliate. And in this case, Raynor's taking a gamble that his Banshee squad could take out the pylon before any of them could take any damage from the photon cannons."
As that was all happening, Raynor's men could be seen just outside of the Tal'darim outpost, and once all the siege tanks were in place, they sieged up and began shelling the outpost from a distance. This expectedly drew their ire as all sorts of Tal'darim warriors into the battle, even more so when Immortals and Colossus could be seen marching towards the front lines.
"Immortals incoming! Take them out now!" A marine could be heard yelling as every single siege tank changed targets and fired upon the immortals. And despite the hardening shields soaking up shot after shot, even it couldn't sustain numerous shock cannon rounds pounding it, and soon, its shields faltered and shut down. Leaving the Immortal vulnerable to mass Terran fire.
Though things looked for the worse when a colossus could be seen on the way over, or at least that would be the case when a dozen missiles slammed into its shielding from Goliaths who began targeting it. The tension drew ever higher as more Tal'darim poured like an overflowed dam towards Raynor's men, and it got to the point that they were starting to pull back as the Tal'darim drew ever closer like a predator to prey.
But that quickly changed when hundreds of missiles rained down from the skies as the Banshee squad from earlier arrived back to help.
Witnessing the arrival of Raynor's banshees, much of the audience could only cheer. "Reinforcements have arrived!" Penny happily proclaimed as others agreed with her.
"Things were looking pretty rough right there," Qrow muttered. "Seriously, just how many lives is this guy gonna throw at them just to keep them away from the artifact?" The veteran Huntsman wondered, as RGQC explained.
"As much as he needs to keep Raynor away from the artifacts. And perhaps even stall them just for everyone to be consumed by the eventual supernova." The realm lord explained as he just got blank looks from everyone.
"The dude's a bit crazy in the head." RGQC then dryly said as the screen continued.
High-priority targets like Immortals, Archons and Colossus were prioritised and eliminated before they could inflict more harm to the ground forces. And the tide quickly turned in Raynor's favour. With air support, they began pushing into the Tal'darim outpost and eventually cleared free from the Tal'darim and available for Raynor to take as his new base zone.
"The Tal'darim base has been cleared, that should buy us a little elbow room." Raynor appeared on the screen as he said before the Tal'darim Executor joined the conversation and retorted.
"Our warriors' sacrifice was not in vain! We gladly march towards death to ensure your doom!"
"Yup, dudes must be crazy to 'sacrifice' themselves like this. It seems kinda wasteful if they'll just die like that to slow Raynor's guys down." Mercury muttered as Cinder agreed silently. What this nutjob did here was incredibly wasteful of men and resources just to perform a delay tactic.
"Even so, it held Raynor back for a moment." Emerald then points out. "Look at the amount of wounded and dead on his side." She then points on the screen as yes, there were several wounded and dead among Raynor's group. Though at the moment, they were getting airlifted by the medivacs back to the command Centre.
With the base cleared of hostiles, Raynor's production buildings could be seen flying in as even more Goliaths and siege tank reinforcements arrived before they began locking down the place. While at the same time, most of Raynor's men were given time to rest and recover as SCVs could be seen arriving and began working on automatic refineries.
And suddenly, a massive ship of approximately half a kilometre appeared overhead in the form of a Science Vessel, much to the audience's surprise. It began letting out blue beams that began repairing Raynor's mechanical units in the ground and air.
"Whoa! That's things big!" Sun was the first to yell out, as did the others who voiced their curiosity. The realm lord nodded his head and obliged as he answered their burning question.
"That is a science vessel which Raynor not too long ago researched," RGQC explained. "And yes, Science Vessels are indeed that big. Part of the reason Raynor could only bring a single one to bear, even then. The variant the Raiders possess should be enough to help with repairs and support."
"Well, at least we know how big that thing is. I mean, look at that thing! Sure, the Hyperion is bigger than that, but my point still stands!" Yang yells out as she points at it.
"I don't see any sort of weaponry on it." Raven commented while Summer spoke up.
"It is called a science vessel for a reason, Ray," Summer just giggled as the Branwen tribe leader just stared at her leader. "I don't think research vessels are supposed to carry weaponry. Well… except for that ability, RGQC mentioned called Irradiate." Summer concludes as the screen continues.
It did not take long for Raynor's command centre and two barracks, factories and starports to float into the new base location before they landed and began operations as usual. Yet it was clear to the audience that Raynor's men were getting increasingly restless as they could see the sea of flames catching up to them slowly.
"That was hella rough." A marauder commented before a marine with a smiley face on his visor spoke.
"Well… it's aboutta to get even more rougher if this is just an outpost."
"Yeah, no kidding…" Another marine with what looks like a lizard face on his visor spoke next, "How the hell are we all still alive? Those freaky Protoss got their immortals and colossus?" He wondered as another marine added in.
"You ask me. All I know is all problems can be solved with overwhelming fire! Amen."
"Amen!" Others said the same thing: more goliaths and siege tanks could be seen on the field.
"Amen!" Nora grinned as she uttered out, much to the bafflement of her friends. "What? I can be the only one who agrees with them, right, guys? Guys?"
"Right…" Ren muttered as Nora happily pulled him into a hug while giggling.
"See! Renny gets it!"
With their reinforcements now here, Every single one of Raynor's men moved out as banshees took to the skies. And as one, they pushed onwards towards the shrine, Raynor's men stumble across another blockade outpost with even heavier resistance in the way. And this time, they're ready as more colossi could be seen, as well as immortals and a tighter air presence as now more phoenixes and scouts can be seen.
Everyone in the audience could only grimace at the oncoming bloodshed about to occur as Raynor's men could be seen organising themselves into attack positions. "I'm not looking forward to this…" Blake could only frown as her eyes flicked towards her ex, who seemed passive for now.
And that alone made her wonder what RGQC said privately to make him, of all people, cooperate and remain docile. The fact that he's not threatening everyone here or insulting them, especially the Atlesians or her Schnee friend, is strange and out of character for him. Blake's wondering thoughts dissipated when she heard her leader speaking next.
"Yeah… It's awful to have so many lives lost just to get an artifact." Ruby soon felt her mother giving her a comforting pat on the head.
"I understand, dear." Summer agrees. "But mummy learns that it's good to save lives. But sometimes, they don't want to be saved."
"I… get it." Ruby hugged her mother with a nod as the screen continued.
With the Tal'darim now hunkered in and walking in would be a slaughter for everyone. Raynor ordered his siege tanks to get into position before sieging up while the rest of his men got into position with their guns ready and loaded. And with a thundering roar of cannons, as Banshees flew above cloaked, the battle begins.
Zealots charged through gunfire and explosions while saying their battle cries. Sentries deploy their bubble shield to absorb all sorts of projectiles flung at them as stalkers and immortals lay down the pain. In response, Raynor's lay down their brand of pain as a marine screamed out.
"Everyone! Keep firing, and don't stop!" He said as Banshees began performing bombing runs in the skies as phoenixes and scouts began to chase them down or perform evasive manoeuvres to avoid the oncoming missiles from the Goliaths below.
It would be an understatement to say that the skirmish looks more like a war zone as the casualty rates began to rise on both sides while Banshees could be seen doing evasive manoeuvres, and a couple were even shot down. Though, the science vessel that was present was a boon to the Terrans as it alone kept most of the mechanical units alive even under constant fire from immortals.
This understandably got the various phoenixes and scouts to attack the vessel in the sky while goliaths did their best to shoot them down and protect their repairer.
"I can never get used to this…" Coco could only blanch at the sight of the dead. It doesn't help that the sea of flames could still be seen behind everyone as if hell had taken over. It just makes everything happening on screen seem worse.
"Yeah… I think things are just going to escalate as more time passes…" Velvet shyly agreed as she clutched onto herself tightly.
"It's amazing how used we are to seeing blood…" Sun added in as everyone winced when a marine had his head blown off by a stalker projectile.
Unaware to everyone, even Adam was unnerved by the amount of death on screen. Yes, he has killed plenty of humans. But the blood spilt just in this mission alone is staggering. To think the weaponry of these humans and Protoss have reached the point that a single unlucky shot is all it takes for an instant death.
And yes, he was made aware that none of them had an aura to protect them. Which just makes everyone even more fragile to stray shots.
"This never gets easier…" Kali mutters out as her ears sink before her husband rubs her shoulder.
"I doubt it will get easier for anyone…"
Casualties continued to mount and rise as both sides fought with everything they could, and soon, Raynor's forces succeeded and pushed into the next outpost. Thankfully, most are wounded and can be patched up and recovered for the next fight. And Raynor didn't take long to move his base forward as the science vessel patched up every mechanical unit.
And with a minute of reprieve, Raynor ordered his men to move on, and soon they encountered the last Protoss relic and easily secured it with the powers of an overwhelming siege tank fire.
"This is it, boys, just one more base and that artifact ours." The audience could hear their commander in the comms as they all made final preparations before moving to the last base.
"If the last outpost is a bloodbath, I don't wanna know what their base would be like…" Yang admits as everyone nods their heads. Even Adam was affected by the number of people dying awful deaths.
But much to everyone's surprise, every single one of Raynor's men was suddenly sucked up into the medivacs in the skies and getting into formation, with the science vessel in the front to absorb attacks. And it worked!
With most of the Tal'darim somewhat distracted with the science vessel in the skies, Raynor's forces moved in like a storm as Banshees flew in and began prioritising pylons. In contrast, his mass of medivacs flew past the Tal'darim lines and straight for the shrine despite some of them taking shots.
"Wait. Wait, wait, wait. That's his plan?! Ignore everything and get the artifact?" Coco was the first to speak after everyone was rendered silent by Raynor's bold plan. Even more, so that it appears to be working!
"Wow." Fox muttered as he glanced at his teammates as Kali giggled.
"That's incredibly bold of him. But it might work." Ghira simply grunted as the battle drew ever closer to the end.
"That wall of flames is getting incredibly close right now. Makes sense for him to take such a bold strategy." RGQC points out as yes. The wall of the fire's getting uncomfortably close at the moment.
And work it did.
As soon as the medivacs were right on top of the shrine, withholding the artifact. They all unloaded everything in their cargos as marines, marauders, goliaths, and siege tanks began raining down from the skies. And as soon as they touch the ground, they go guns blazing as siege tanks siege up and unleash hell upon the Tal'darim.
With them busy with Raynor's Banshees wreaking havoc on their more formidable units and defences, the Tal'darim defenders couldn't do much when reinforcements arrived and caught the defenders into an awkward situation between the two sides.
And in the end, Raynor's men fired upon the shrine and destroyed it.
"They did it!" Ruby cheered out as many others agreed."
"Yeah! Now it's time for them to get out of there!" Pyrrha yells out, a bit engrossed in the action at times.
"Time for them to leave!" Jaune joins in.
Revealing the artifact as Raynor appeared on the screen. "Ok the artifact's secure! Saddle up people! We're out of here!" He ordered as his dropship could be seen flying in and above the artifact, and in a second. The artifact was sucked up into it as Raynor's men began to evacuate by the medivacs sucking them up, with the wall of fire growing ever closer while Raynor's buildings could be seen in the air and flying away.
The screen cuts to show the Tal'darim Executor not too far away, watching Raynor's dropship fly away with their sacred artifact. The executor simply raises his fist up in the air and shakes it furiously. "We will pursue you to the end of the universe, James Raynor! A thousand deaths cannot atone for your wanton sacrilege!"
"Next time, if you want to stop Raynor, you should have the balls to do it yourself!" Emerald called out as the realm lord glanced to the side with the memory that he would be back with a mothership.
"Crazy people in power sacrificing everyone but themselves…" Ilia muttered to herself.
And with that, the screen darkens, if only for a moment, much to the audience's surprise that the viewing is not yet over.
"Oh? There's more happening?" Penny happily asked as the realm lord simply nodded his head with a smile.
"Yup."
The screen lights up again to show the darkness of space with stars twinkling within the sea of black. But that soon changed when there were sudden flashings before the Hyperion warped into this region of space as the text appeared on the screen as it went by the screen.
Moebius Rendezvous Point
21:00 Shipboard Time
"Huh… Guess it's about time we see those guys from Moebius again." Qrow hummed as the screen continued.
The screen then cuts to show Matt on the bridge as he explains the situation. "Sir, we've reached the rendezvous coordinates. No contacts." He said as the screen cut to show him watching the star map for any contacts. "Looks like the Moebius ship hasn't arrived yet."
"Strange…" Ozpin hummed with his eyes narrowed. "Something's not right here."
"I concur." His second agrees. "Do you believe it could be an ambush?"
"Most likely." Ironwood joins the conversation while everyone remains on alert. Something is not right here…
The camera then cuts to show Raynor leaning back in a comfortable commander's chair with his feet up on the star map console, all while he sips his flask.
"Dude knows how to relax." Torchwick chucked to himself as he took a drink of wine.
The camera then zooms in on his face as Raynor wonders. "That's strange. It ain't like them to be late." Then, as if proving the audience's suspicions correct, alarms began blaring as the camera moved to the star map, which suddenly warned of three battlecruisers coming into sensor range. As did displaying the holograms of them with information tags appearing on the map.
"Oh boy." Neo uttered as Blake joined in.
"That's not good."
Then to drive it further, intent music begins blaring in the background as the camera cuts to Matt. Sir! Dominion ships warping in!" Raynor's second spoke up as the camera cuts back to the leading battlecruiser, the Bucephalus. "Mengsk's flagship is leading them!"
Matt said as Tychus' comment sums out everyone's thoughts if they were more vulgar. "Sweet mother of mercy."
"Old Mengsky here? Dude must have wanted to settle this battle personally." Sun wonders as Penny disagrees.
"That' doesn't appear to be the case, friend Sun. From what we know of Mengsk, he's not one to get his hands dirty."
"If so, who's controlling this flagship?" Ruby wonders as everyone looks at the realm lord, who simply rests his finger on his lips.
Tychus looks at his partner as the camera cuts to him putting his feet down, unholstering his revolver and opening the swing-out cylinder, which has a single bullet in a lower chamber. He rotates the bullet to a firing position in the barrel and flicks the cylinder shut. All while badass music plays in the background.
"A single round. Just for Mengsk, it seems…" Cinder purred.
"Please don't tell me what he's planning to do…" Weiss utters in disbelief while her older sister adds in.
"Yes, he is going to do that, sister."
"This music is awesome! I want more!" Nora exclaims while Jaune has a worried look on his face.
"Nora, I don't think this is the time…"
"Never!"
The camera cuts to Matt, who expresses his worries about the current situation. "Sir, their shields are still down. I don't like this."
Yet, Raynor doesn't seem that bothered by it. "Matt- pull us alongside and prep docking tubes!" Raynor ordered with a determined look as he stood up and headed straight for the door.
"He's planning to board the ship?!" Everyone except Nora and Penny couldn't help but yell out in surprise at his recklessness.
"Commander, this is not a smart move." Raynor's second protested the rash reaction as Tychus stopped briefly at Horner's far side as he took his cigar from his mouth.
"You wanted your revolution, kid." Tychus said as he flicked his cigar downward onto the deck. "Now ya got it." And with that, Tychus followed Raynor off the bridge and towards the lift. As the bridge doors shut behind him, the screen went black.
"Guess there's not much to stop him now if Mengsk is indeed on the Bucephalus." Tai concludes as Raven agrees.
"I've learned that those with nothing left are the most dangerous of individuals."
The screen lights up again to show battle inside the Bucephalus between two Dominion marines firing down a corridor, Raynor in his CMC armour and Tychus. Raynor could be seen peaking around the corner before ducking away, and with his hand, he signals to Tychus, who nods his head and pulls out some sort of grenade.
Without any delay, everyone suddenly had sunglasses on their faces before RGQC spoke as he held an alert sign. "Bright lights ahead, your gonna need it not to suffer any potential blindness from it." This understandably got confused and concerned looks from everyone. Yet non chose to speak up over the realm choice.
Tychus then removed the pin off the grenade with his thumb before rolling it on the ground towards the Dominion marines. And it had a note showing a bullet going through a heart and the words 'HAVE A NICE DAY' And like that, the grenade exploded in a flash of white.
Everyone was mostly fine from the sudden flash of light, but they were understandably displeased and looked to the realm lord for answers.
"What was that grenade?" Blake asked as she felt her eyes burn slightly despite the presence of sunglasses on her eyes.
"Yeah, what the hell was that?" Sun asked as he rubbed his eyes while his partner did the same thing.
"That is a flash grenade, or stun grenade to us realm lords. They are designed to damage the retinas and or photo-optic receptors of a target. And this is achieved by emitting a burst of light in the visible and ultraviolet parts of the spectrum." RGQC explained. "That is why I gave everyone sunglasses."
"How fascinating!" Penny observed as she took off her own pair of sunglasses. It was funny to her that she had one since she was not affected by sudden flashes of light.
"Yeah…" Ilia mutter.
As soon as the flash of light came down, Raynor brought his suit's visor down before rushing down the hall and began firing his Gauss rifle as the camera tails after him. And as he entered the next room, Raynor began blasting his bullets and tore through three marines with ease as a fourth dodged them and ran in.
Only for Tychus to barrel forward and body checks the newcomer into the wall with a painful crunching noise of metal before the stunned marine slumps to the floor, and the camera changes to show a first-person view from the perspective of the stunned marine as Tychus points his gun at his head.
The camera quickly zooms in on Tychus's face as he smirks before casually shooting him in the head, the single gunshot echoing, and the screen flashes white.
"Poor fella got body checked hard." Neptune mutter out as Tai suddenly laughs.
"Reminds me of when Qrow tried to do it to me when I was getting too close to Raven for his liking." Qrow noticeably groans as he rubs his forehead, as his twin sister smirks while Summer giggles at the memories of the past.
"Can you tell us about that dad?" Yang asked curiously as Tai grinned at his daughter.
"Sure, why not. It was funny when it happened."
"Funny for you." Qrow deadpanned.
As the flashing lights faded, they saw a very familiar blond man with a ponytail staring out the windows at the distant stars as a phonograph played opera beside him on a table.
"Hey… I know that guy! It's that pretty boy, crown prince Valerian!" Yang said out loud as Ruby asked the important question in everyone's mind.
"What is he doing here?"
Before everyone could continue questioning why Valerian was here instead of his father, the camera cuts to doors before they were blown inward clean off the walls by an explosive as Raynor walked in on his lonesome.
And upon spotting the man still looking out into space and assuming that he was Arcturus, Raynor drops his Gauss rifle into the floor as he strides forward a few steps. The audience could only watch silently, with a few of them silently begging Raynor not to shoot the young man. The camera then follows Raynor's revolver as he brings it up and aims it at Valerian before his visor opens.
"Turn around, Arcturus! I want you to see this coming." Raynor uttered with determination and hate in his voice as the camera cuts to show Valerian still staring out of the window.
"You won't find my father here, Commander." Valerian said in a well-spoken voice as the camera followed his hand as he reached for the phonograph and slid the needle off, causing a soft scratch from the record and setting the tonearm to the side. "I am Valerian Mengsk - and I own the Moebius Foundation... through them, I own you as well."
"Wait, what? Valerian owns those eggheads?" Mercury could only utter as Cinder noticed something about the kid while the others were still stunned by the revelation that the son of Mengsk owns the Moebius Foundation.
"He's over his head…"
The camera shifts to Raynor as he growls it out. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now…"
Yet Valerian seemed nonplussed about a gun being pointed straight at his head. Instead, the crown prince simply turns and faces the commander. "Because I can offer you what you've always wanted," Valerian pauses as the camera closes on his face. "a chance to rescue Sarah Kerrigan."
And the screen cuts to black.
"No! Cliff-hanger!" Blake suddenly cursed out as the cat Faunus rubbed her eyebrows. "I hate it when stories do that…"
"Wow. Didn't know you're engrossed in pretty boy right there." Yang gave a teasing smile before her partner punched her in the arm.
"So… Valerian knows of a way to save Kerrigan from her Zerg form?" Penny tilts her head and asks as the realm lord stands from his chair before stretching his back.
"Saying it will be spoilers, Ms Polendina" A grin grew on the realm lord's face. "Anyway, enjoy the cliff-hanger, and we'll continue later. Go have a break, guys. I got a big sister to check on."
"Have a good break." And with that, RGQC walked through a portal he summoned while everyone left the theatre room, as Adam was the last to leave.
And we are done, and fuck, man! I was supposed to have this out on the first of the month, but procrastination and getting distracted by Demon Slayer and Avatar fic didn't help me in the slightest at all with my daily writing schedule.
Anyways, it's out now, and I hope you enjoyed this because I better hope it does! But yeah, now this story's back on my writing list, and you can expect more in the coming months!
