Some days have passed since the appearance of Gashadokuro and his fight with Orochi and Tsurugi, in his human form, he has been staying in some apartment that was quite messy, rest of food lying around, the kitchen sink looks like it hasn't been clean for days, and not mentioning that there's almost no light on the room, well there is but it's flickering and the only source of light he's getting is from a window where the curtains have been torn apart.
It was obvious Gashadokuro didn't care about keeping his room clean or even take care of the water or electric bills, though the few things that appear to be somewhat okay and not destroyed are some posters, one being a heavy metal poster and another being the poster of a woman in a red swimsuit.
Gashadokuro appears drinking from a can of beer before crushing it on his forehead and tosses it away, he looks at his sword and from it, green souls appear coming out in agony, Gashadokuro simply smiled before stretching himself.
"Man these souls sure gave my body the massage it deserves." Gashadokuro said in a laidback tone as he stares at his sword "The big boss was nice to give me this baby, just enough souls for me to heal my wounds, I thought I would get bored just collecting souls, but now I got some real entertainment!" He shouts before laughing as he falls on the sofa "Orochi and Tsurugi, you better not disappoint me the next time we encounter each other." He smirks while his eyes glow purple.
Today was a very lively day at the Yasakani house. Haruki and his kids, plus Tsubaki, are sitting on the table waiting for something, and said something already got Riku excited, Mika is also smiling as well.
"Oh man, oh man, oh man! Big bro is cooking for us today!" Riku says in an excited tone.
"Have to admit, I like those days when Hyuuga cooks for us." Mika agrees while nodding to Riku "His cooking is a lot better than yours dad." Haruki's eyes widened after hearing this.
"Y-You don't really mean that right? I mean, I'm a good cook, right?"
"Sorry dad, but big bro's food is a lot better than yours by a lot!" Riku smiled innocently, not realizing his words just caused Haruki's face to fall on the table.
Tsubaki was the odd one out, she was surprised that Hyuuga could cook, and even more surprised that his siblings seem to like his food a lot more than their father's.
"Is the food ready big bro?!" Riku shouted to the kitchen.
"Almost done, gotta add that little Hyuuga style flavor!" Hyuuga's voice comes from the kitchen.
"Okay I need to ask, is his food really that good? Like, so good that it's even better than your father's food?" Tsubaki asks.
"Please, you're killing the last bit of happiness I'm having." Haruki said in a sad tone of voice.
"No disrespect to dad but, Hyuuga's food is amazing, I don't know what kind of Ninjutsu he uses to make it so good." Mika explains.
"She's right! You just have to see for yourself, Miss Tsubaki!"
"Alright, I'm all for experimenting new types of food anyway, so bring it on." Tsubaki said while rubbing her hands.
"No need to rush, because it's all done!" Hyuuga comes from the kitchen holding a tray that has five plates in it, he puts it on the table "The Shoyu Ramen from yours truly is done!" Hyuuga shouts with a smug tone in his voice as he sits on his table, the rest of the Yasakani family look in awe at the food while Tsubaki looks with a curious and hungry expression as her mouth opens, clearly excited to experience this.
"Thanks for the food!" Everyone shows their gratitude towards Hyuuga and they start eating, Tsubaki looks at her food as stars appear in her eyes, she then looks at the rest of the family, they are clearly enjoying it, except Hyuuga, who is just staring at her with a smug expression.
"Well what are you waiting for? Go ahead." Hyuuga said as Tsubaki rolls her eyes as she grabs her Hashi, picks the pork meat and takes a bite out of it.
Tsubaki's eyes open and widen at the same time as stars once again appear in her eyes before they start burning and becoming fiery red stars.
"I-How-You." She's having trouble finding the right words to use, as Hyuuga goes to eat his food as well and waiting for Tsubaki's response.
"Well I'm waiting." Hyuuga said in a surprising patient tone.

….
….
"THIS IS AMAZING! I NEVER ATE SOMETHING THIS GOOD BEFORE!" Tsubaki shouted in the happiest tone possible, scaring the others, and even Hyuuga, all of them stare at her as she goes nuts over the food. She realizes the scene she did as her face gets very red before looking away and clearing her throat "I mean, this is some good food, it's pretty good."
"Oh so you did enjoy it huh? Well you can ask me anytime you need to eat." He was clearly enjoying this moment where he was the one teasing Tsubaki instead of the other way around.
"S-Shut up, idiot." Tsubaki muttered as she continued to eat her food while still blushing trying to hide her embarrassment.
The rest of the family laughed at this situation, and Tsubaki could help but smile as well. It's nice having these moments where you are just living a normal life and not risking your life fighting against supernatural creatures.
"I will say son, you are really improving with your cooking, maybe that can be your future job?" Haruki said as he drank some soda.
"Nah, I can't exactly see myself as a cook, I rather just cook for you guys." Hyuuga said.
"And you did a good job Hyuuga." Mika said.
"Yeah, your food reminds me of mom's." Riku said as he continued to eat, Hyuuga chuckles at that comment.
"I guess she did inspired me to learn how to make food." Hyuuga said while rubbing the back of his neck.
"If you don't mind me asking, I noticed your mother is not around, is there any reason for that?" Tsubaki asks, and she then notices everyone's expressions get a bit grim. "Oh I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that."
"No, no it's alright, you didn't know and I guess it would be normal to ask that." Haruki said, reassuring Tsubaki she did nothing wrong.
"Mom was great, and every day I miss her." Mika said as she wipes a tear from her eye, Riku hugs his sister to comfort her.
"There's not a single day where we wish she was still here, we miss her, but we try our best to move on." Haruki said as he looked at Tsubaki "She would like us to not let the past trap us as we move on with our lives, it's not easy moving on, but it's something we must do.
Tsubaki stood there in silence as the family resumed eating and she too, despite not showing it, Hyuuga could see that she understood a bit about losing someone close to you judging by her expression.
Some time later, Tsubaki is waving goodbye to the family as she exits the house, but not before bowing to show respect to them, which surprises them.
"She sure is very polite and respectful, unlike a certain someone." Mika said as she moves her eyes to Hyuuga.
"Just another day." Hyuuga said in a deadpanned tone as he went to his room.
"You are always welcome here! Come by again!" Haruki waved Tsubaki, who waved back as she walked away.
"They sure were a nice family, I feel like we are getting closer the more we interact." Tsubaki said as she put her arms behind her back "I kinda envy that, family interactions, eating with them, laughing and all of that." She chuckles before her expression gets a bit sad, though she snaps back to reality as she suddenly hears some noises "What the? It sounds like a motorcycle, but something about it doesn't feel right."
And she was right, from a distance, something appeared coming at rapid speed and making motorcycle noises. Tsubaki notices it's coming right after her and manages to roll out of the way in time, though she starts coughing due to the dust caused by whatever was running.
The running figure stops on its tracks as it turns around, it was a Yokai, though this one was very different compared to the others. This particular Yokai has a more robotic body with with golden chains wrapped around its arms, instead of normal feet, it stands on a pair of wheels, its chest has an ox's cranium, the head was weird, it looks like a white skeleton face with yellow eyes and covered with objects that resembles leaves.
Probably one of the most unusual Yokais to exist, the Yokai Oboroguruma.
"Okay this is new, never thought Yokais could also be robots as well." Tsubaki said as she gets up and assumed a fighting stance.
Oboroguruma sees that Tsubaki is ready to fight and it roars, a distorted Ox roar as smoke comes out of the Ox cranium on its chest and its feet wheels start running, it charges at Tsubaki at full-speed ready to squash her.
Tsubaki tries to use her speed to leap, but she gets slammed by the Yokai's body and sent rolling on the ground. The Yokai roars once again as more smoke comes out of its chest and it goes towards her again, Tsubaki manages to roll out of the way as she closes her eyes to avoid the dust.
She quickly gets up as she puts on the Ninja Driver and presses the button of the Cho Scroll.
[Cho!]
"Henshin!" Tsubaki said as she spun the cornea of the scroll.
[Henshin no Jutsu! Hyouketsu, Cho!]
Oboroguruma once again charged towards her, though this time Tsurugi was prepared. She does a spinning handstand as the blades on her ankles unfold, Tsurugi spins at high-speed as the blades clash with the Yokai and sparks fly from the conflict.
The speed of the spins gets faster and faster, Oboroguruma increases its speed and due to the strength of both, they eventually cancel each other out and are thrown away. Tsurugi manages to get back at her feet as the Yokai does as well.
Tsurugi summons the Cho Katana as she removes the scabbard and goes for the attack, the Yokai roars and charges at her, she goes for a slash but the Yokai manages to dodge and performs a shoulder tackle on Tsurugi. She tries to go for another slash but the Yokai dodges again.
It tries to go for another shoulder tackle, though Tsurugi leaps and kicks the Yokai on the back of its head, then does another kick that pushes it away. Tsurugi manages to slash the Yokai a few times as sparks fly from each other and when she goes for another slash, Oboroguruma turns around and smacks the katana out of her hands before punching her right on the face, the blow being so powerful it knocks her away into a nearby wall.
"Okay, that hurt!" Tsurugi said while getting up and notices the Yokai charging right at her, she counterattacks by doing some hand signs "Ice Ninpo: Ice Spikes!" Tsurugi releases ice spikes on the ground, causing them to shatter into small pieces that get into the Yokai's wheels.
The wheels start malfunctioning due to the small pieces of the ice spikes getting into them, causing the Yokai to lose control over its movement. Tsurugi takes that opportunity as she spins the cornua of the scroll.
[Cho! Hissatsu no Jutsu!]
Tsurugi assumes a stance as light blue snow-like energy surrounds her right palm and the moment the Yokai gets close, she slides out of the way and performs a palm thrust on its back, a shockwave of energy appears on impact and the Yokai is launched through the wall with an explosion.
Tsurugi dusts her hands thinking she has defeated it, until….
[KUMO]
"What the-?!" Tsurugi is caught off-guard by the distorted announcement as suddenly, a large web appears from the smoke and wraps itself on her body, causing her to lose some balance and fall on the ground "A web?! Don't tell me…"
Oboroguruma comes out of the explosion though something was different, eight spider-like legs appear on its back, using them to move.
"No way, it also has a Scroll?!" Tsurugi shouted in disbelief, another one of the missing Seal Scrolls, the Kumo Scroll, was corrupted and now is being used by the Yokais.
The Yokai's eyes glow and suddenly, it splits its lower jaw into two halves as it roars to Tsurugi.
"Ewww why do you have to do this?!" Tsurugi complains while trying to free herself from the web.
Oboroguruma shoots a stream of web from its mouth, covering the except of Tsurugi's body except her head, then it starts pulling her towards it.
Tsurugi continues to resist before realizing what she can do to escape. She uses the blades on her arms and ankles to cut through the web, though she's having difficulty.
"This thing is hard to cut!" Tsurugi shouts as she continues to try and cut the webs.
The Yokai pulls her with more strength and prepares to use the legs to stab her, but luckily, Tsurugi manages to cut herself free in time to dodge one of the legs and kicks the Yokai on the face twice with both legs, then uses the blades on her ankles to cut the legs as sparks fly from them, the Yokai roaring in pain as its spider legs fall.
It stares at the legs cut and roars to Tsurugi before using its wheel feet to run away to retreat, Tsurugi took a deep breath before falling on her butt as she removes the scroll and turns back to normal.
"Spiders, why did it have to be Spiders?" She complains about the fact that the Yokai gained Spider powers from the corrupted scroll, while also showing a dislike towards Spiders "Either way, that Yokai had one of the missing scrolls, I better call Yasakani and inform him of this." She picks up her phone and calls for Hyuuga.
Back at his home, Hyuuga was resting on his bed until his phone starts ringing and he picks it up.
"Yasakani it's me, listen you need to hear this, it's pretty important."
"And I bet you fought against a Yokai, am I correct?"
"Yeah pretty much, but listen, that Yokai was using a corrupted scroll."
"Wait what? Another corrupted scroll?!" Hyuuga said with shock in his tone "How are they getting their hands on these things?!"
"I don't know, but what's important is getting that scroll back and defeating the Yokai."
"Alright, thanks for the heads-up."
"No problem, I'll keep in touch in case there's more stuff, see you later." She ends the call "I better report this to the Sages, this could probably help dealing with the other missing scrolls." Tsubaki gets ready to leave, but not before turning around as she looks around "Must be my imagination." She shrugs it off and leaps away to the Shinobi Temple.
The thing is, it wasn't her imagination, someone was actually spying on her, that being Fuuka Kagami, who appears holding her phone near her ear.
"Tsubaki Kusanagi fought against the Yokai with one of the missing scrolls and she's going to the Shinobi Temple. I'll see if I can find more information by following her."
"Alright, take care sis." The person she was speaking to was her brother, Setsuna, who hangs up and puts his phone away. "Now, let's wait for the other." Setsuna seems to be waiting for someone as he starts walking around the crowd of people.
Elsewhere with the Yokai Oboroguruma, the Yokai appears holding the corrupted Kumo Scroll, like the corrupted Same Scroll, it was darker in color that covered the image of the animal.
Feeling like its power has returned, the Yokai presses the button of the scroll.
[KUMO!]
It groans as the spider legs emerge from its back, it notices that it only has five legs and roars in anger.
"Sheesh there's no need to cry over those legs, they'll grow eventually." The Yokai looks to its side and hears the voice of a man, the man being the human form of Gashadokuro. It roars and charges at the man, trying to stab him with its legs but suddenly, two of the legs are cut as they fall on the ground. "Nice one idiot, now you lost two more legs, do you even have a brain in that thick skull head of yours?" Gashadokuro insults Oboroguruma as he steps on one of the cut legs.
"Legs grow back you know, especially thanks to the power of that scroll right there." He points to the scroll on the Yokai's hand. "I bet you want some payback to the one that did this right? Tell you what, when they are fully regrown, go after the one that did this to you and bring them to me, I will help you get your revenge. What do you think?"
Oboroguruma nods its head and Gashadokuro laughs at that.
"Good, now that's what I'm talking about!" Gashadokuro laughed as he rubbed the Yokai's head "Now be a good boy and wait for those legs to grow okay? When you're ready, go see me so we can prepare the plan." His sword disappears as he begins to walk away.
"You better be ready, boy, as for me." His "genuine" smile distorts into a wicked grin "I'm gonna do some warm-up."
In another location, Hyuuga appears walking, simply minding his own business in his own thoughts.
"Great, another Yokai with a corrupted scroll." He sighs in annoyance "Once this is dealt with, I'll have a good talk with those Sages."
He's so focused on his train of thought that he doesn't pay attention to where he is going and accidentally bumps into someone.
"Oh sorry man, I wasn't paying attention."
"Oh no, I should apologize for standing in your Hyuuga." Hyuuga's eyes widen as he sees the one he bumped into was Setsuna Kagami.
"S-Setsuna?! What are you-" Setsuna interrupts Hyuuga by putting his finger on his mouth and using the other to shush him.
"Not here, let's go somewhere where we can talk." Setsuna whispers to Hyuuga as he guides him to another location, pretty much in an alley where they can talk without anyone listening to them. "Good, here is fine, now what you were gonna ask?"
"I was just gonna ask what you were doing here." Hyuuga answers the question.
"Oh, I was just walking around just to get some fresh air, though I was also told to see you as well." Setsuna said with his usual innocent yet weird tone.
"See me? Who exactly told you to see me?"
"Sorry but I can't say it, it's a secret." Setsuna smiled while putting his finger in his mouth, something about him didn't feel right for Hyuuga, he could tell there was something going on with him "Let's just say that a little bird told me apparently that Kusanagi girl fought against a Yokai that was using a corrupted scroll."
Hyuuga's eyes widen as he backs away in shock, how could he know about that?
"H-How do you know that?" Hyuuga questions, very concerned that he knows about something that important.
"Sorry, can't say it." He smiled again, that smile was creeping Hyuuga the hell out "But I will say this, I can help you get it back."
Meanwhile with Tsubaki, she arrives at the Shinobi Temple but looks behind herself once again to see if there's anyone following her before heading inside the temple. Suddenly a piece of a nearby wall came out and it's revealed to be actually a fake, with Fuuka holding the fake piece.
"Well well, it's been a while since I went to this place, now let's see what information I can snatch out of them." Fuuka tosses the object away as she enters the temple, stealthy and making sure no one sees her.
While following Tsubaki inside the temple, Fuuka looked around noticing how little the place has changed, something that catches the attention of her eyes seems to be photos showing all of the heirs of the ninja clans, one of them includes her late father, Ryohei Kagami.
"No, no time to get emotional, gotta continue my mission." She slaps herself mentally as she sees Tsubaki entering a room "This must be the room where the Sages usually stay, now how to enter without being noticed?"
That's when she spots some servants walking and she has an idea.
As a servant passes nearby, she taps his shoulder.
"What?" He turns around and is suddenly knocked out with a precise chop to the neck as he falls down, but not before Fuuka grabs him so he won't make any noises.
Tsubaki enters the room and bows to the Sages as they bow back.
"What brings you here miss Tsubaki?" The one of the Sages spoke first.
"I came here with a report, Sages, it's about a Yokai I fought against." Tsubaki said "This Yokai was holding one of the missing scrolls."
Hearing this causes the eyes of the Sages to widen in shock.
"I see, it seems that a lot of the missing scrolls are in the hands of these Yokais." One of the Sages spoke with a concerned tone.
While they were talking, a servant enters the room, the Sages notice them and they bow to them, they bow back and continue their conversations. What they don't know is that the servant is actually Fuuka in disguise.
"'Those old men sitting in their comfy seats, somehow this brings back some nostalgic memories, either way, let's see what I can found here.'"
"I just don't get it, how are the Yokai finding this many scrolls?" Tsubaki questions, the Sages look at each other as they already know the answer.
"You know how the Seal Scrolls were used as part of the sealing Ninjutsu many years ago to seal the Yokais, correct?"
"Yes I'm aware of that." Tsubaki nods her head.
"When the seal was broken we discovered that the scrolls were scattered all over the city, we managed to collect a few of them but the others were missing, presumably stolen by the Yokais."
Hearing this causes Tsubaki, and Fuuka, to have shocked expressions on their faces.
"Then, that means whoever broke the seal also stole these scrolls and gave them to the Yokais!" Tsubaki shouted in disbelief.
"Yes, I'm afraid so." One of the Sage said in a somber tone.
"Well now, that was an interesting piece of information." Fuuka spoke up, causing the Sages and Tsubaki all to stare at her, not knowing it's her "I must say this was easier than I thought, thank you for that."
"What the, who are you?!" One of the Sages shouted to her.
"Oh why should I answer? You already know who I am." She spoke in an arrogant tone before waving them goodbye as she ran away.
"Get the hell back here!" Tsubaki shouted as she went after the disguised Fuuka, she leaves the room but stops to look for where she has gone to. She continues to search for her around the temple, but doesn't manage to find her "Dammit I lost her, who was her anyway?"
Outside the temple, Fuuka, who has thrown the servant outfit away, walks away with the piece of information she found with a satisfied smile on her face.
"And how exactly can you help me get it back?" Hyuuga asks.
"Well, this little bird told me that the Yokai that Kusanagi faced seems to be quite fast, speed being its primary ability, and despite the enhanced speed us Ninjas have, it won't be enough to accompany it." Setsuna said.
"And you're saying you have a way to help us against this one?" Hyuuga asks, with Setsuna simply nodding to him while keeping the smile "Okay, and should I trust you?"
"Of course you can, we are friends, correct?" Setsuna said in his creepy innocent tone as he extends his hand to Hyuuga.
Hyuuga looks at his extend hand and starts thinking if he should accept the offer. Despite knowing about the Kagami clan's reputation, he wants to believe that not all of them are manipulators, that some of them can be trusted.
He extends his hand and was about to shake hands with Setsuna, that is until they hear the sounds of people screaming in horror and running away, they go to see what's going on and spot Gashadokuro in the middle of the crowd, swinging his sword wildly and managing to snatch some souls before spotting them.
"We meet again, Orochi!" Gashadokuro shouted in an excited tone.
"It 's you, he Gashadokuro Yokai!" Hyuuga shouted with anger in his tone "What the hell are you doing here?!"
"Let's just say I wanted some payback from that last fight we had." He said as he put his sword on his shoulder.
"Payback huh? Well that's just good to hear." Hyuuga cracks his knuckles "I also wanted to have a chance to kick your skeletal ass once again." He pulled the Ninja Driver and Hebi Scroll "Stay back Setsuna, this is between me and, what the?" Setsuna is not there, he has suddenly vanished.
"Don't get distracted!" Gashadokuro shouted as he swings his sword, Hyuuga managing to dodge the slash and rolls for another slash, he also inserts the Hebi Scroll on the Driver "Got you!" He looks up as Gashadokuro goes for a downward slash and he quickly puts on the Driver, causing the Orochi suit to form on his body minus the helmet, he blocks the sword with his arm as sparks fly "What?!"
"Let's dance bonehead, Henshin!" He opens the cornua.
[Henshin no Jutsu! Moeru, Hebi!]
The magatama ring appears as it hits Gashadokuro before passing through Hyuuga's head, forming the helmet.
"Orochi, has arriv-" He suddenly interrupted by Gashadokuro swinging his sword again to strike him as he falls on the ground "Let me finish dammit!"
"Who cares about introductions, let's just fight!" Gashadokuro said while pointing his sword at Orochi.
"Fine, let's do it your way." He gets up as he leaps high into the air "Orochi…." He summons the Hebi Dual Blade and switches to Futaken Mode as he holds both blades in reverse grip "Has arrived!" He slashes Gashadokuro with a fierce slash before slashing him again and kicks him "You like that? Because there's more where that came from!"
"Then bring it on!" Gashadokuro shouted as light suddenly appears on his eyes and he fires from his hand blue energy projections of skulls towards Orochi, who don't have time to dodge as he crosses his arms to try and block them as sparks fly and he's pushed away.
While the two are fighting, Setsuna appears spying on them as he hears his phone ring.
"Hey sis, so how was it? Oh, now that's interesting." He looks back to the fight "Very interesting."
Gashadokuro swings his sword but Orochi slides to the side and slashes the skeleton Yokai, then goes for another slash and holds both blades horizontally.
"Fire Ninpo: Raging Roar!" He spins at high-speed and surrounds himself in a vortex of fire, he then strikes Gashadokuro, who tries to block with his sword but is pushed away, Orochi then continues to spin as he strikes Gashadokuro a few more times before stopping.
"Okay, that really hurt." Gashadokuro said as he got up "Either way, I'm done here."
"Done here? What you mean you are done here?!" Orochi questioned.
"This was simply a warm-up, but don't worry, we will resume our fight, and don't forget to bring Tsurugi as well. See ya!" He starts walking away before disappearing in a purple mist.
"God how I hate him." Orochi said in an annoyed tone "Right, gotta find Setsuna." The suit disappears as he starts looking for Setsuna, but not finding him anywhere and sighs in annoyance "He sure likes to disappear a lot, either way, gotta meet with Kusanagi so we can think of our next move." Hyuuga said as he runs to meet with Tsubaki.
Some time later, Hyuuga and Tsubaki meet each other to discuss what to do next, while also exchanging some information they got.
"So you're saying that the scrolls got scattered when the seal got broken, and the Yokais got their nasty hands on some of them?" Hyuuga asks.
"Pretty much." Tsubaki nods her head.
"Well, this is gonna be annoying."
"No kidding, and you're saying Gashadokuro fought against you just as a 'warm-up', and now wants you to bring me so he can fight us both?"
"Basically yes, well for it doesn't matter, the bonehead is going down!" Hyuuga hits his fist on his hand "Though of course there's also that Yokai you were facing."
"Yes, and you really think that Kagami boy is gonna help us?" Tsubaki questions Hyuuga.
"Well… Wait, you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
The two hear some motorcycle noises and suddenly, the Yokai Oboroguruma appears as the two cover their eyes from the dust while coughing.
"Hey, it's the Yokai I fought against!" Tsubaki said while pointing to Oboroguruma.
"This makes things easier, let's get that scroll back!" The two get into a fighting position, but before they could do anything, the Yokai instead gestures them to follow it "What?"
"I think it wants to follow it?" Tsubaki said in a confused tone before the Yokai run away "Hey get back here!"
"Great, now how are we gonna go after it?"
"And this is the part where we come to give some assistance." A voice came from behind as the two turn around and see the Kagami siblings walking towards them.
"Oh now you show up after suddenly disappearing, Setsuna!" Hyuuga shouted as he approaches Setsuna, but Fuuka puts her hand in front to stop her "And who are you?"
"I'm his twin sister, Fuuka, and please, don't approach my brother while angry." She introduced herself and gently pushed Hyuuga away.
"Wait, your voice sounds familiar." Tsubaki said before realizing where she heard it before "You're the one that infiltrated the Shinobi Temple!"
"Wait what?" Hyuuga said.
"Oh my, I'm impressed you managed to figure that one out, Kusanagi." Fuuka said in a smug tone, anger built up inside Tsubaki as she raises her fist, but Hyuuga quickly grabs her arm.
"Wow wow chill Kusanagi, we got other stuff to do remember?" Hyuuga said, reminding Tsubaki they gotta deal with the Yokai.
"Yes you should listen to your boyfriend, he's a lot smarter than I thought." Fuuka said.
"Actually you know, nevermind you can deck her in the face." Hyuuga said as he let go of Tsubaki's arm.
"With pleasure." Tsubaki said while smiling and gets ready to punch Fuuka, but Setsuna gets in between them.
"Sis that's enough, we came here to talk not fight." Setsuna said with a serious tone.
"My apologies brother, just wanted to have some fun before getting into business." Fuuka said before giggling, Hyuuga and Tsubaki's eyes start twitching as they try controlling their anger "In all seriousness, we came here to assist you two."
"And how exactly do you plan on doing it?" Tsubaki questioned, clearly not trusting them.
"With this." The siblings show them two scrolls, they appear golden in color and have the Kanji for vehicle "A new scroll that we developed to assist you, and it might be useful in other situations as well.
Hyuuga and Tsubaki grabbed the scrolls as they analyze them, they also had shocked expressions in their faces over the fact the Kagami siblings manage to produce their own scrolls.
"You gotta thank sis for that, she's quite good with creating scrolls." Setsuna said.
"There's no need for that brother." Fuuka said in her usual calm tone.
"Okay what's the catch? Spit it out." Tsubaki said.
"Oh, you don't trust us I assume?" Fuuka said as Tsubaki gets close to her "It's only natural that others don't trust Kagamis after all. But don't worry, there's no catch I promise."
"Right, I'll believe you." Tsubaki said in a sarcastic tone.
"Well maybe you don't, but what about him?" Setsuna said as they looked at Hyuuga, who was still looking over his scroll.
"Setsuna, are you my friend, or are you just using me?" Hyuuga said, which takes the siblings by surprise.
"Excuse me?" Questioned Setsuna.
"You said a while back that we are friends, and I still wanna believe that not all Kagamis are like that." Hyuuga said "So, can I trust you?"
Setsuna stared at him for a few seconds as he turned around. "Well why won't you decide, decide if you can trust me or not."
Hyuuga gripped on his scroll after hearing that answer, conflicting thoughts of wanting to trust Setsuna but also if he's being tricked or not.
"There's still that Yokai to catch, so you better hurry." Setsuna said while pointing to where the Yokai went.
"Oh right, we gotta go." Hyuuga and Tsubaki put on their Ninja Drivers and inserted the scroll "It probably works similar to the Summoning Scroll."
"Then let's do it." Hyuuga nodded as he and Tsubaki perform a few hand signs "Summoning Jutsu!" They open the cornea of the scroll as a paper with the Kanji for "Vehicle" appeared.
In an instant, glowing lights come from their scrolls and they took form in front of them, the light disappear and in their place, two motorcycles appear, one being red with flames and serpents decorations, the Red Striker, and the other being light blue in color with ice and snowflakes decorations, the Azure Dancer. They also came with helmets as well and a pair of gloves, red for the Red Striker and blue for the Azure Dancer.
Hyuuga and Tsubaki stared at the machines with their mouths wide open and eyes in shock, they stared at them in complete silence before looking at each other and saying one word.
"Awesome!" They shouted at the same time in happy tones before running to their bikes and looking at them.
"Oh my god look at this beauty, I can't believe I have my own motorcycle!" Said Hyuuga.
"I am so gonna take you on every ride baby." Tsubaki said as she kissed her bike "Let's take these babies on a test drive, shall we?" Tsubaki said to Hyuuga.
"You read my mind." Both get on the bikes, put on the helmets and gloves and turn them on "Let's go!" They then ride to follow to where Oboroguruma went.
"Well, shall we get going then?" Fuuka asks as Setsuna nods his head and pulls his own scroll.
With the duo, they appear riding and spot Oboroguruma in front of them.
"Found you!" Hyuuga said as he sped up the Red Striker and got near the Yokai, Tsubaki did the same as both get on both sides on the Yokai.
"We got you now!" Tsubaki said as she extended her hand to try and grab Oboroguruma, but it simply roared at her before speeding up "Hey!"
"Kusanagi!" Hyuuga got close to her as appears holding the Hebi Scroll "I think we got one big brawl incoming, so get ready!" He pressed the button of the scroll and put it on the Driver.
[Hebi!]
"Right!" Tsubaki does the same, pulls and presses the button of the Cho Scroll before inserting it onto the Driver.
[Cho]
"Henshin!" Both spin the cornua of their scrolls.
[Henshin no Jutsu!]
[Moeru, Hebi!/Hyouketsu, Cho!]
They transform into Orochi and Tsurugi.
"Orochi…." Orochi increases the speed of the Red Striker "Has arrived!"
"Tsurugi…." Tsurugi does the same with the Azure Dancer "Here I come!"
They both speed up and manage to catch up to Oboroguruma, but then notice something in front of them, that being two blue energy projections of skulls, they dodge as the skulls explode on the ground with more incoming before they realize where that's coming from.
"Gashadokuro!" Orochi shouted, seeing Gashadokuro in the distance attacking them with the projectile barrage.
"Ah I get it now, the Yokai was bringing us to Gashadokuro." Tsurugi said.
"Well this makes things easier, let's deal with both of them!" Orochi shouted as they sped up.
The Ninja Riders stop their bikes and get out of them while summoning their weapons, with Oboroguruma stopping near Gashadokuro.
"Glad you two accepted my invitation, and I'm happy to see you brought her as well Orochi."
"Oh shut it bonehead, it's our job dealing with Yokais, so no surprise she came along." Orochi said while pointing his sword at him.
"And now that we are here, we are gonna get that scroll back!" Tsurugi said, also pointing her sword
"Oh, you want this scroll?" Gashadokuro pointed to the Kumo Scroll that Oboroguruma is holding "Then come and get it!"
The two nod at each other and charge at them, Orochi facing Oboroguruma and Tsurugi facing Gashadokuro.
Orochi goes for a slash, but Oboroguruma uses its speed to slide to the side then punches him in the face, followed by a kick with its foot wheel and when it goes for another kick, Orochi grabs its leg before slashing it with its sword twice and kicks it away.
The wheels on the Yokai's feet start to spin and it runs in circles around Orochi, using its speed to try and confuse him as it strikes from different angles, each strike causing sparks to fly from Orochi's body.
"Need to find an opening." Orochi said as he takes on a defensive stance while looking for a chance to strike.
Tsurugi and Gashadokuro clash blades as sparks fly from the impact, she kicks the skeleton Yokai before slashing him on the torso.
Gashadokuro launches the skull energy projectiles towards Tsurugi, who backflips while the skulls hit the ground, explosions happen on impact. Tsurugi then sheaths the katana and shows the alternative mode of the Cho Katana by pressing a circle on the hilt and moving it downwards, causing a barrel to appear at the tip of the scabbard.
[Rifle!]
Cho Katana Rifle Mode, the alternative mode of the weapon for long-range combat. Tsurugi points the rifle towards Gashadokuro and shoots blue energy shots at the Yokai, who gets by them as sparks fly from his body and he's sent backwards, Tsurugi landing and spots Orochi in a tough situation.
"Eyes on the fight lady!" Gashadokuro took that moment to slice Tsurugi violently then slashes her again and kicks her away.
"Kusanagi!" Orochi shouted before getting an idea, he removes the Hebi Scroll and inserts it onto the Hebi Dual Blade.
[Hissatsu no Jutsu]
"Super Fire Ninpo!" Orochi passes his fingers over the blade as it's slowly ignited in flames "Great Serpent's Slash!" Orochi performs a fiery spinning slash, managing to hit Oboruguruma as the flames start burning it and it stops running "Here's one more!" Orochi swings the sword forward and launches a fiery slash wave at the Yokai, causing an explosion that sends it away "Now gotta help Kusanagi!" Orochi said as he went to help her.
Tsurugi was on the ground as she tried getting up after being damaged by Gashadokuro, and speaking of him, he was running and swung his sword to strike her.
"Oi bonehead!" Orochi leaps in front as he blocks with his sword "Striking someone while they are down? This may not be my place to say it, but that's low!"
"This is a fight, there are no rules, the winner is the survivor, and the loser dies!" Gashadokuro said as he raises his sword with enough force to break Orochi's balance before smacking him away "And as for you."
"Wind Ninpo: Emerald Typhoon!" Suddenly a green cyclone appears and strikes Gashadokuro while also pushing him away.
"What the?" Tsurugi looks behind and sees the Kagami siblings, with Fuuka being the one who performed the attack.
"Well we can't exactly let you die, we need you alive after all." Fuuka said in a calm tone.
"Sure whatever." Tsurugi said as she got up.
"Wait, wind Ninjutsu?" Gashadokuro said as he got up as well, realizing who this wind belongs to. "You two are from the Kagami clan?" He said while pointing his sword at them.
"Bingo." Setsuna snapped his fingers to show he was correct.
"You damn Kagamis have been a thorn in my side even years ago!" Gashadokuro shouted in an anger tone, showing that he possesses some hatred towards the Kagami clan.
"Oh look at that sis, we are famous." Setsuna said.
"Guess our ancestors must have really made a fool of you huh?" Fuuka said in a smug tone, which angered Gashadokuro as he charged at them, but Orochi came with a flying kick.
"Kusanagi, you deal with the Yokai over there, I'll take care of Gashadokuro." He said with Tsurugi nodding as she got up and went to fight Oboroguruma "Let's continue our dance!"
Tsurugi gets ready to fight against Oboroguruma, but it pulls the Kumo Scroll and presses it.
[KUMO!]
The spider legs grow from its back as it uses them to stand up and its lower jaw splits in two halves as it roars at Tsurugi.
"Seriously this again?!" Tsurugi shouted in a disgusted tone.
Oboroguruma start shooting balls of web from its mouth as Tsurugi, who shoots at them with the Cho Katana in Rifle Mode, the energy shots destroying the webs as they also hit Oboroguruma, though it has gained some durability thanks to the power of the scroll and uses the spider legs to leap high in the air, it aims them towards Tsurugi to try and slice her, she manages to dodge a few but others hit her and pushes her away.
"Guess I gotta fight equal to equal." Tsurugi said as she close and remove the Cho Scroll and pulls a new one then presses its button.
[Hakucho!]
The Hakusho Scroll, being white in color and having the image of a swan. Tsurugi inserts the scroll on the Driver, a large freezing scroll appears on the air behind her and she spins the cornua, showing the image of a freezing swan.
[Henshin no Jutsu!]
[Tenkū no Utsukushi-sa, Hakucho!]
A large swan appears from the scroll as it flies up, does a U-turn and strikes Tsurugi on the back, causing large wings to appear while Tsurugi's body freezes before shattering as the wings shrink in size.
Tsurugi's new form, Hakucho, the suit now has gained a Swan motif, becoming white in color, the helmet changes to resemble that of a swan, the eyes become orange, the wings that appeared in the transformation have wrapped themselves on Tsurugi's shoulders and ending above the Driver. She also gained feather-like accessories on the forearms, small feathers on the ankles and the chest area now has the symbol of a swan alongside two crossed swords.
Tsurugi moves her hands as she assumes a more majestic stance, before doing a come-on gesture to the Yokai.
Oboroguruma roars at this and charges towards her with the intent of stabbing her with its spider leg, Tsurugi however, quickly blocks with her arm, catching the Yokai by surprise and using her other hand, she delivers fast palm thrusts on its torso before swinging both hands in a spinning motion and striking them both onto the Yokai's torso, after some delay, impacts appear on the Yokai's body from the palm thrusts and the final one sends it away.
"Oh wow, Kusanagi got a new form, then I gotta do the same!" Orochi said as he removes the Hebi Scroll, pulls the Same Scroll and presses the button before inserting it on the Driver.
[Same!]
"I won't allow it!" Gashadokuro shouted as he launches the skull projectiles at Orochi, explosions occurring on impact.
"Hyuuga!" Setsuna was about to run but Fuuka extended her arm to block him "Sis?"
"Like that's gonna take him down that easily." She said in a calm tone.
"Sorry bonehead." Orochi's voice came from the explosion as Gashadokuro looked in surprise.
[Henshin no Jutsu!]
[Umi no Tsuyo-sa, Same!]
Orochi slices through the flames of the explosions with his arm blades.
"But you are about to become shark food!" He looks at Gashadokuro as the eyes of the helmet glow.
Orochi then charges at Gashadokuro, who tries to slash him with his sword, but Orochi ducks and starts breakdancing while slashing with the blades on his ankles, then he puts his hands on the ground to stop as he pulls back his legs before launching them forward, kicking Gashadokuro away.
He breakdances once again before leaping and landing on his feet.
"That's such an unorthodox way of fighting." Fuuka said while Setsuna simply laughed.
"Hyuuga, he sure is an interesting person." Setsuna said.
Back with Tsurugi, she rushes towards Oboruguruma and it attacks by shooting a large amount of web from its mouth.
"What worked once is not gonna work twice." Tsurugi said as she performs some hand signs "Ice Ninpo: Reflector Throw." Tsurugi literally grabs the fluid of the web with her bare hands as she spins before tossing it back to the Yokai, the web hits and covers its face, blinding it.
Tsurugi takes that opportunity to strike the Yokai, performing some fast chops and kicks onto it, she then notices that it's now swinging its spider legs wildly due to the web covering its face.
"Gotta deal with these quickly." She takes a deep breath and with precise palm strikes, she destroys the legs, then moves her hands in a circular motion and strikes the Yokai, sending it away.
Back with Orochi, using his more wild fighting style, he leaps around Gashadokuro while slashing with his blades, meanwhile the Yokai blocks them with his sword, though he's now having some difficulty due to the speed and wild movements of Orochi.
"Take that! And that! And some more of it!" Orochi shouted with each strike, putting more pressure onto Gashadokuro.
"Enough!" Gashadokuro's eyes light for a second and he fires a stronger skull projectile at Orochi, who blocks and is pushed away "You were getting very annoying, but it's now the time to finish this!"
"Couldn't agree more!" Orochi spin the cornua of the scroll as the word "Killer technique" appears.
[Same! Hissatsu no Jutsu!]
"Super Fire Ninpo!" Orochi starts spinning at high-speed as a vortex of flames surrounds him and he's propelled upwards.
"What the?!" Gashadokuro shouts in surprise and shock as he sees Orochi turning around and flying towards him.
"Shark Tornado!" Orochi shouted as he charges towards Gashadokuro.
"You wanna play that way? Fine, then let's do this!" Gashadokuro passes his hand over his sword as green energy appears around it and his eyes glow. "Take this, my secret technique!" He raises his sword in the air with both hands "Death of Life!" He swings his sword downwards, clashing with Orochi in his vortex of fire.
Seeing the difference in strength, Orochi shouted as he spun faster and faster, causing the vortex to expand and get hotter, Gashadokuro is then hit by the Orochi, being pushed away and an explosion occurs, sending him to crash into Oboroguruma.
"Now Kusanagi, finish it!"
"On it!" Tsurugi spin the cornua of the scroll as the word "Killer technique" appears "Super Ice Ninpo!" She leaps high into the air as she extends her arms and legs as an energy aura of a Swan appears around her "Heavenly Cross Swan!" Tsurugi dives towards the two Yokais with the swan aura flapping its wings.
"Oh I got no time for this!" Gashadokuro grabs Oboruguruma and uses it as a shield to protect from the attack. The moment Tsurugi gets closer, he rolls out of the way as she passes through Oboruguruma and flies up, the Yokai freezing in place.
"Freeze for eternity Yokai." Tsurugi said as the swan aura disappears, she lands gracefully on the ground and swing her arm "Punishment!" Oboroguruma shatters into pieces as its soul appears before imploding.
"It was useful at least, now I'm getting even more excited." Gashadokuro laughed before disappearing.
"Hey where do you think you're going!" Orochi tries to go after Gashadokuro despite him disappearing.
"Yasakani stop! He vanished." Tsurugi said, with Orochi rubbing the back of his helmet.
"I know I know, wait, the scroll!"
"Don't worry, it's right here." Tsurugi shows the corrupted Kumo Scroll.
"Alright we got it!" Orochi runs towards Tsurugi and the two do a high-five.
"Thank you." Suddenly, Fuuka appears and snatches the Kumo Scroll out of Tsurugi's hand, the two Ninja Riders looking in shock as she walks away holding the scroll.
"I must say this was easier than I thought." Setsuna said.
"Well you know how easy it is to manipulate others." Fuuka said.
"What the hell is the meaning of this?!" Orochi said as he and Tsurugi run to the siblings and cancel their transformations.
"We are just getting what we wanted, our reward you could say." Fuuka explains while waving the Kumo Scroll.
"What?!" Hyuuga shouted.
"I knew it, you were just using us so you could get your hands on that scroll!" Tsubaki said while pointing fingers to the siblings.
"Pretty much, and I'll say, you two did a good defeating that Yokai." Setsuna said before suddenly, Hyuuga grabs him by the collar of his shirt.
"You lied to me! I thought I could trust you, but you used me!" Hyuuga said in a much anger tone towards Setsuna "I wanted to believe that you were not like everyone, but I guess I was wrong." He let go of Setsuna by pushing him.
"My apologies, but you must know, once a Kagami…." The two begin to walk away "Always a Kagami."
Now only Hyuuga and Tsubaki stand there, the latter simply sighing at the situation while the former punches the ground in anger for being manipulated.
"You are very naive, you know that?" Tsubaki said.
"No shit Sherlock." He starts rubbing his head in annoyance "God I'm so stupid! How could I let them just walk over me like that?!"
"It's not your fault." Tsubaki said as she put her hand on Hyuuga's shoulder "You wanted to believe that he wasn't a manipulator, that he didn't follow what his clan does, and while I say this was pretty dumb of you, you were following your heart, you are a good person." A sad smile appeared on Hyuuga's face as Tsubaki helps him get up "Come on, let's get home, we need some nice rest after this."
"Couldn't agree more, let's go." The two then appear riding on their bikes, having some fun with their new vehicles as the sun shines bright on the sky.

Chapter 5: Ninpo: Rampaging Oni
Author's Note:
Okay, wow, this is probably the biggest chapter I ever wrote, and sorry if I didn't wrote a Author's Note last chapter, didn't had a good idea on what to write regarding the chapter, but I think I might have some stuff to say here.
For starters, considering how big these four chapters were, next chapters are gonna be a bit lighter, as in, not much lore and explanations, just some MOTW episodes that also focus on some character interaction, but of course there will be a plot being built, especially regarding the mystery of who freed the Yokais.
This chapter is also filled with references, so have fun trying to spot and recognize the references.
