Chapter Eight: Turles's Tree of Might
John followed after Turles in top speed while pondering on what the saiyan means by having the Tree of Might on his side. John never heard anything about a tree that is named the Tree of Might. What is the Tree of Might?. And why does Turles so determined to get to it without any delay. Whatever this tree is supposed to be it must be extremely dangerous against them.
"King Kai?. Are you hearing me?." John asked while following Turles key.
On the small green planet in Other World, King Kai had his antennas up and detected one of his new students. He was currently playing chess with Bubbles during the time of the Saiyan Battle.
"Yes, John, I am listening. I'm assuming you are wondering what Turles mean about the so called Tree of Might, yes?." said King Kai, before moving his chess piece.
"Yes. What is the Tree of Might?. What is it so great that Turles thinks he is going to an edge against me?." John spoke while following Turles energy. "I am surprised that he has any enough energy to boost his fly speed to get himself away from sight."
King Kai currently took Bubbles's rook after using his knight. He got serious once he remembered what the special plant is. "John listen very carefully to me. The legendary Tree of Might or sometimes called the Tree of Death is a very ultra rare special plant. The tree and its fruits is a plant of the gods. This tree requires tons of amount of energy to gain and grow from in order to bare its fruit, causing the greenish land around it to be drain and completely dead. Much less slowly killing the earth itself."
John glanced behind him and see that his wife is barely keeping up with him. He looked forward as he comprehend the information that King Kai has given him. "So this tree is a plant of killing nature."
"Mmmm, no." King Kai shook his head while making another move on the chessboard. "The tree itself is never evil. Its requirements to stay alive and thriving it has to dominate in its competition of survival. But overall the tree itself is the least of your worries and concern. The fruit that the Tree of Might bares will undoubtedly super powered and super strengthen the person who eats it."
John completely stopped flying with look of disbelief and horror. "What?!. King Kai are you absolutely sure about this?!."
"Yes, Yes, I am." King Kai got up off the table and walked over. "The Tree of Might's fruits was never meant to be eaten my the lights of mortals. Its fruits were only be eaten by gods and eternal dragons like Shenron. John you must destroy the Tree of Might. The tree that Turles have is the last of its kind. You need to destroy it before it kills earth!."
"Right!. And inform Goku about this as well." John resumed flying and boosted it in a race to reach Turles. That is untill his wife called his name.
"John slow the fuck down for your wife!." Bulma caught up with her husband a bit upset and tired.
John pulled Bulma by her waist before taking off in boosted speed. "Pumpkin Spice, we have to reach Turles in time before he takes a bite of the fruit of the Tree of Might."
"Now, what is so special about a fancy tree, John?." Bulma looked at her beloved husband.
John had his sights in the direction that he is taking them to. "King Kai have told me that the Tree of Might is the plant of the gods and eternal dragons like Shenron. He says that whoever eats the fruit from the tree itself their power and strength will be super powered."
Bulma gasped in shock at being filled in on the information given from her king. "No kidding?!. And what else did King Kai say to you?."
"He says that we need to destroy the tree. The thing is sucking the life force of earth as we speak. Survival of the Fittest." said John.
"Shit. Wish you did not given him his one chance to make the final move, John." Bulma told her husband in serious tone.
Bulma got on her saiyan husband about his slight foolishness on given his opponents the chance of pulling out a final move of opportunity in the battle when he gets overly confident. Especially when he knows that his win is clearly guaranteed. She got on him when he faced Piccolo back at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai which resulted in Piccolo going super sized and before the two had destroyed the whole area and arena itself. Of course she got on him the day after they completed their sexual marriage and had breakfast in the morning. And let's not forget about the Garlic Jr incident. Bulma expected this small arrogant mistake as part of his saiyan blood that clouds his senses. But deep down she believes that this issue will die one day. Unfortunately it is going to be a genetic trait when they have kids and grandkids and so forth.
The two different raced royal couple have reached a dead lands that once been a greenish forest and endless water. John and Bulma looked below them to see dry up dead trees that did not stand a chance against the obsorbtion of the Tree of Might. Speaking of the Tree of Might the two can obviously see the giant ass tree standing tall and beautiful. John quickly rushed over to the tree and hope that he and Bulma is not too late in stopping Turles. Upon reach close and landing on the tree's giant branch before running to find the bleeding injured saiyan, which it did not take long to find as he had a fruit from the tree itself.
"Looking for me your majesties?." Turles mockingly got their attention.
John and Bulma looked up to see Turles on a branch holding the fruit in his hand with a evil grin to the two's distasted bitterness.
"Damnit!." John and Bulma said in anger and distaste.
Turles laughed at seeing and hearing this. "Now, you, your disgusting human wife, Kakarot and the others will now meet the end of the road."
"Oh, no." Bulma looked anxiously.
Turles lifted the fruit up. "Behold the power of the Tree of Might as it will be your undoing!."
"No!." John powered up. "Kaioken!."
John super jumped at Turles in a race to stop him from eating it. Unfortunately, on King Kai's part, he did not tell John that it only takes one bite to gain the powerful power and strength. Turles took the quick swallowed bite and instantly felt the might takes its course. Just as soon as John was seconds away from landing a punch at Turles, the saiyan grabbed John's fist. Making John utterly shocked including Bulma. In fact, John can the pain of his fist getting squeezed really hard by Turles.
"Hehehe." Turles threw the bitten fruit down and looked at John with confident facial expression. "It only takes one bite, John. Haaaa!."
Turles powered up to his new power level as Bulma who still has the scouter on her face is calculating it. John uneasily feel the brand new power of Turles and it is not feel good at all none whatever. Without any hesitation he found himself being completely thrown like a rag doll and got kicked in the back, after Turles had appeared behind him. John managed pull himself up and powered up to Kaioken x2 and tried to keep up but failing.
"Power level of 300,000!." Bulma said when the scouter both calculated Turles's new power and then blow itself up to her shock. "The scouter has a power scaling limit?. John, I am coming!."
Bulma fly jumped at where two are fighting but John quickly energy forced her back after pushing his himself away from Turles. Bulma ragained her balance as she looked at her husband in concern.
"No, Bulma this is my fight." John glanced at Turles. "Your power does not hold a candle to what Turles is packing. You will not last long."
"Kiren is right Bulma." Turles looked at the earth woman with a grin. "But do not worry because after I kill your husband, I will most definitely kill you as well."
"Not while I am still breathing and moving, Turles!." John powered himself up and debating on whether if he should risk his body in going to the needed level of kaioken. "This is going to hurt like a motherfucker. But I do not have a choice in this fight."
John looked at Turles who has his arms crossed and waiting for the waited attack. Bulma watches her man having self debating and looked like he is getting ready to come up with conclusion. Bulma hold herself in fear as to how they are going to beat Turles since he is jacked in power and strength wise.
"Body do not fail me." John channeled his power. "Kaioken x 20!."
"John no!." King Kai yelled but was sadly ignored.
John charged at Turles as the two collided in a massive brawl. Bulma can not even see them fight as they were going so fast than her eyes can follow. John is already starting to feel the consequence of using the high level kaioken. At this very moment his whole entire body is beginning to extremely hurt and he does not know if he can keep fighting. His muscles were straining beyond belief both feeling extreme burning sensation and sored bones. Turles can see that John is slowing down and see to take the opportunity. Turles blocked John's incoming punch and then instantly punched at his ribs.
John stopped right away as Turles fits made contact to his already hurting bones and organs. The pain was too much to fight or dare to ignore it. Turles evilly laughed as he side kicked John on the other side of his ribs. Causing the man to completely drop twenty times kaioken. Bulma looked on in horror. Turles then started to lay multiple punches to John's abdomen and pushing the man's pain even further. John was unable to do anything to defend himself as the pain of using kaioken x20 is truly biting him in the ass. Bulma had tears running down as she just can not bare to see her husband being injured apart piece by piece.
"Oh, payback is truly is a bitch!." Turles super kicked John square in the face and have him crashed into the giant roots of the Tree of Might.
John is bleeding from his mouth, nose, and his forehead. He is feeling completely dazed and have no idea what is going on. His vision is starting to go blurry. Turles landed down and slowly approached the fallen saiyan warrior of earth with glee. He looked down at John who is breathing through his mouth and barley getting any air in due to bleeding out in the mouth.
"Oh, I know for a fact that Nappa is laughing at your downfall, Kiren." Turles lifted his right boot up and stumped on John's left ankle.
"Ahhhh!." John yelled out in pain.
Turles moved his boot up and then stumped down on John's right bicep harder than he did with his ankle. John roared out in pain as this is truly suffering. Bulma went from tearing to anger as she clenched her fists. Bulma remembered on what John has told her in staying out of this fight. But Bulma knows that she can not stand by and watch him suffering in physical pain.
"Even though I will not get my wish as an imortal saiyan on this pathic ass excuse of a planet that you call home." Turles stumped John in his stomach and hear him yell in pain. "At least I can get my wish granted when I go to Namek. Before I do that...I will take your crown as king of the saiyans through death!."
"Leave my John alone!. HAAAAH!." Bulma yelled out a battle cry when charging at Turles.
Turles playfully amused the fight against Bulma who was putting a lot of effort. She threw a lot kicks to his head which he easily blocked from side to side as he knows that her speed is so not up to par with his. Bulma was not giving up no matter if she is not landing any hits. She went full bulk wild on Turles. Doing side kicks, below punches, upper kicks, and even backwards kicking. Bulma jumped back and powered her ki and got into her blast position.
"Galick Gun!. Haaaa!." Bulma fired her beamed.
Turles laughed after putting his hand out to catch Bulma's Galick Gun and crushed it!.
"N...No...Bulma." John can barley talk or moved at this point as his voice got horsed. "B...B...Bulma...g...g...get...o...o...out...of...here. P...P... Please."
Bulma did not hear her husband as she was far away from him and too distracted on seeing Turles crush her Galick Gun like a water balloon. "Ah, damnit!."
Turles super leaped forward to Bulma and kicked his knee right into her abdomen. Bulma gasped for air as her nervous system was trying to alert her brain as to what has happened to her. She coughed out blood before the pain has finally came around. Turles took his knee out of Bulma's abdomen before viciously pulled her head down and connect his same knee with her face head on. Bulma yelled in pain once she had her head pulled back with squirt of blood shooting out from her nose. Then Turles took the chance and kicked Bulma's left ankle out of place before slamming her down on the hard surface of the Tree of Might's root.
"Did not even gave me a challenge at all." Turles laughed when watching Bulma cry and hollar out in pain. "Tell me Kiren?. How should I kill your wife, huh?."
John did not say anything as he will not stoop into submission and dare pick the kind of tragedy for his woman. Turles sees that John is not going to answer his question and just have to pick the type of excuation to his earth woman that he shamelessly crowned her as his queen of their dead race. He went over to Bulma before reaching down and aggressively grabbed her by her neck before lifting her up.
"L...L...Let...m...m...me...g...g...go...y...y...you...b...b... bastard." Bulma painfully warned as she tried to move her good leg to kick him while having both of hands on the man's wrist in the attempt of getting him off of her.
"For an Earthling you sure have the dieharded spirit of a Saiyan Woman in the heat of the battle." Turles said, giving a quick squeeze on Bulma's neck.
Bulma gagged as she closed her eyes in pain and wishing it will all end. John wanted to so badly kill Turles for hurting and punishing his wife but his body will not let him get back to his own two feet. His ass can not even lift his head up to look. He heard Turles approaching him as the clicking of his boots was kinda echoing to him. Turles came beside him on his left side and making sure that John can see himself and Bulma.
John angerly looked at what he is seeing. Bulma hanged lifeless in Turles's hand but can see hear her whimpering a bite. The woman managed to look down at her husband in pain when doing this as she had a very defeated facial expression.
"S...S...Sorry...d...darling. I...I...I tried." Bulma slowly spoke.
"Turles, please do not hurt her." John managed to get some strength back while horsed. "Kill me. Kill me instead."
Turles looked down at John for a short second and then back at Bulma. "Sounds reasonable. But unfortunately for you, Kiren, I am not an reasonable saiyan man. I just kill her in front of you and then I will kill you last. Cool?. I think so."
John angerly watched Turles getting ready to impale his wife with his free hand and he can not stop this form happening. What looked like all hopes were lost for the two, suddenly in a blink of an eye, Turles got kicked in the back and resulted in dropping Bulma. The person responsible of kicking the saiyan in the back is none other than Chi-Chi herself while Goku quickly grabbed Bulma and rested her down.
Turles regained his balance and looked at the second earth woman in rage. "Why you sneaky little earth bitch!."
Chi Chi got into her turtle hermit fighting stance. "Leave my sister-in-law alone you fucker!."
Goku powered up to Kaioken x3. "Now, you are dealing with us now!."
Turles chuckled. "Your weak asses is going to be just like those two scums."
Chi Chi and Goku worked together in taking down Turles with everything they got. The two did combine wild attack combos and ki blast dual attacks. Unfortunately for Goku and Chi Chi, Turles overcame the odds easily and beat the shit out of the two. Not harder than he did with John and Bulma but painful either way as he quickly and aggressively kicked Chi Chi in the ribs with sounds of it being crushed and then kicked off the root and crashed far into the dead soil dirt. Goku tried to raised his kaioken but got super shuts down when striking him in the back.
"Ahhhh!." Goku hit the ground beside his slightly unconscious Chi Chi in pain.
Turles watched Goku try and get up to check on his beaten wife. "Oh, I failed of making you paralyzed form the waist down, like you have done so to my dead saiyan brother Nappa. No matter. I will just try again."
As soon as Turles flew over and was inches away from doing so until a super punch had made contact to his cheek. Resulted in him to look and see a freaking angered Gohan as he had revenge in his eyes.
"Leave my family alone you big bulley!." Gohan roared as he started fighting Turles like a kid possessed by ancient spirits.
Gohan's temporary boosted power was given Turles a run for his money as the full blooded saiyan was in impressed and off guard by this. Krillin on the other checked on Goku and Chi Chi who were more or less find and able to move. They told him to check and give John and Bulma a senzu bean right away. Krillin went over to his other two friends as he helped Bulma back to her feet. Well, one foot as she her left ankle needed to be manually repositioned in an emergency room once this is all said and done.
"Do not worry you two." Krillin lifted the bag up. "Senzu Beans to the rescue."
"Good." Bulma barely spoke it out.
Krillin opened the bag and see that there was no beans inside. This both worries and confused the bald monk as he dug his hand inside and feel not a single bean but feel a hole. He looked under the bottom of the bag and see that there is in fact a hole at the bottom. Meaning that the remaining senzu beans that was in the bag had somehow go loose when the bag had unexplainably had a hole in it.
"Ah, no!. Shit the beans went through the hole!." Krillin angerly threw the bag down.
"We are fuck." said Bulma, admittedly while eyeing her nephew's impressive hold against Turles. "Do not die on us, nephew."
"Krillin?."
Bulma and Krillin looked down to see John who is looking at them with one eye closed while breathing through his mouth as his nose is freaking broken.
"Krillin come and place her hand on one of my hands. There is no time to waste." John ordered his best friend.
Krillin nodded. "Ok, John."
Krillin knealt down and placed his hand on John's right hand. Then out of nowhere, Krillin felt his own energy being half drained. Bulma barley hold herself on one good leg watched her king do whatever it is that he is doing that involves taking some of Krillin's energy. Once done getting the half energy, John slowly got himself back onto his feet and looked at Gohan holding up on his own better than anyone could.
"Gohan is not going to last much longer, John." Bulma almost felled if it was not for Krillin to have her arm around his neck.
"His power is over ours." Krillin focused his energy sensing on Turles. "There is nothing that can kill him."
John let out a breath with determination on his face. "There is one way to kill Turles and finally end this shit."
"And what would that be, Big Brother?." Goku flew down carefully with holding an conscious Chi Chi.
"We did everything we could, John." Chi Chi began while trying not anxious herself about her son's health. "What else can stop and kill that motherfucker?."
John managed to stop hunching over and straighten himself up. "King Kai taught me this since he wanted us to have some kind of edge against them. I am going to use the Spirit Bomb."
"Spirit Bomb?." Goku, Chi Chi, Bulma and Krillin said in confusion.
"The spirit bomb is explosive energy ball made from the collected energy gathered from both living and nonliving things. The more energy that is collected, the more powerful the bomb is." John looked up at the Turles's Tree of Might. "And I am getting the needed energy form that damn tree that is draining the life out of our homeworld. I just need enough time to collect and distract Turles at the same time. But how?."
Gohan had Turles against the ropes but all that raged energy got transferred somewhere into his body. Leaving his weak and fatigue against Turles, who happily beat the daylights out of the saiyan hybrid with utter enjoyment. Turles beated Gohan to the ground and kicked the boy multiple times in dirt like a damn kickball.
"Ahhh!." Gohan yelled when being kicked harder.
"You are an absolute abomination to the Super Saiyan God himself." Turles bitterly said when kicking the boy to lay on his stomach. "Your Father and Uncle stained what is left of our race in fucking disgrace."
Turles started stumping Gohan's back in the midsection with such pressure to the boy's pain. "Me, Kakarot, Kiren and yourself are truly the final living saiyans in while entire universe itself. But unfortunately for you and your Daddy and Uncle, I will be the soul living saiyan in the whole entire Universe."
Turles continued stumping Gohan hard and hearing the boy's cry out for mercy. He stumped and stumped with no mercy. As things were looking super dim for Gohan, he felt the energy that he once had when enraged as he felt its way through his tailbone. And with one last hard stump form Turles it encouraged to forcibly pushed Gohan's new tail out to the man's surprise. Turles watched Gohan lay to his back and looked at him fatigue and bloody as he eyed the hybrid and was impressed at what he just witnessed.
"Huh, it would seems that you have a special gene trait that some Saiyans rarely get within their families. That, and our saiyan scientists once theorized that a saiyan child can regrow a new tail once their bodies activate its emergency energy mode triggered by unknown causes. Looks like you proved that theroy, hybrid." Turles spit out the last part in distaste.
Gohan felt his new birthed tail wiggling excitedly as it made the boy think back to what his Daddy told him on their way over here about their saiyan tails. Then he remembered the shiny orb that is still in the sky and found the solution that he needed. Even though he does not remember at all after he transformed nor being self aware when transformed. Still he has no choice. Deep down in his heart, Gohan knows his beloved Uncle John has a plan to kill Turles and he needed to give him enough time to capitalize on it.
"You should be very threatened about me if I was you, Turles." Gohan spoke boldly.
"You do not say?." Turles unamusedly spoke but had a funny chilling feeling that he needs to be. "Why?."
Gohan leaned up at looked at Turles seriously. "Because I am going to wake up the uncontrolled beast, asshole."
"Uncontrolled beast?." Turles tilted his head. "The fuck does that...wait!."
Turles quickly turned around and looked up to see the shiny energy orb that he created in total fear. He then quickly looked at Gohan who had all eyes on the orb and is completely got his Oozaru triggered.
"Oh, shit!." Turles quickly tried to grab Gohan's tail but it was too quick and is avoiding to be grabbed. "No!. Do not transform!. No, No, No, No!."
Turles punched Gohan's chest so many times in vain as the boy started changing with no stopping in sight as he got bigger. Turles jumped back as it was far too late to stop the transformation. Even though he is in fact stronger than the hybrid's Oozaru form he does not have any figting experiences against it. Meaning that unselfaware Gohan has an advantage point. Oozaru Gohan roared while pounding his chest wildly before eyeing Turles and angerly seeing him as a target to destroy.
"Ah, shit!." Turles said, before being slammed hard by Gohan.
John, Goku, Chi Chi, Bulma and Krillin looked on in awe and shock to see Gohan in Great Ape form. However, John sees this as a big opportunity when giving it a thought in the given situation.
"And I found my distraction." John weakly grinned. "Good job, Nephew. Now, it is my part on ending Turles once and for all."
