Chapter Thirteen: Real Namek
"I really do not know how long I can tolerate being bedridden." John looked at his mother in law. "I truly hate getting these sponge baths here from these nurses. If it is not my queen giving me a bath then I most certainly do not want any woman to wash me."
Mrs. Brief stopped her knitting and looked at John with a cheerful smile. "Patience my dear, you will eventually get out of this hospital in no time. And speaking about Bulma, we should have gotten word from her and the others on their arrival to Namek."
John looked up at the ceiling and let out a breath. "True. That, and informing us that they caught sight of that monster as well. I already came up with a plan when I arrived there. In fact, I wish that I told them before they left."
"Oh?." Mrs. Brief resumed her knitting. "What is your plan?."
"Find and collect all seven dragon balls without being detected or spotted by Frieza and his men. Grant our wish. Get into our ship and leave as fast as the machine can go. Because it is indeed suicidal to even think abour or dare to fight Frieza. Fighting him is going to be your last breath among the living." said John.
John then looked back at his mother in law to see what she was knitting and smiled with joy. "Say, is that for me as well?."
Mrs. Brief chuckled. "Oh, John, this sweater is for Bulma!. I am getting ahead in making our matching Christmas sweaters for this year's Christmas. You are all going to love them!."
John kept his smile and looked back at the ceiling. "Can't wait."
Meanwhile with Bulma and the others who were following the right course to their desired destination. This time it is the real destination. Bulma and the others were looking through the one and only window to see what their eyes were showing them. There in the distance stood a light greenish planet that had sparked utter joyment amongst the five. The planet that they are seeing is in fact Namek. Real Namek.
"Alright, we're finally approaching Namek!." Goku spoke in utter joyment.
Chi Chi took a quick picture with her film camera and smiled happily. "Ah, man, and here I thought we would never reach our destination."
"You said it, Chi Chi." Krillin tightens up his Gi. "That last incident had almost gotten us off schedule as to what exact day and time we should have arrived."
"Oh, wow, I am actually going to step foot on Piccolo and Kami's native home planet." Gohan spoke in utter happiness with his tail wagging.
"Alright, you guys hold on, I'm about to enter the planet's atmosphere and land this baby." said Bulma, placing her hands on the controls.
When doing so she carefully embraces the ship to enter Namek's atmosphere. Bulma then easily flew the ship right down upward and had it land on its legs as soon it made contact with the hard ground. Once turning the machine off, they all gathered what they needed before leaving the ship. But really it was just Bulma's box of a variety of capsules that they needed. Upon getting on the pad and pulled down, the five got off the platform before it pulled itself back to the ship. The five took this moment to look at their surroundings of this light bluish planet with few tall trees with light blue grassy leaves.
"My, My, My, My." Chi Chi looked at the body of water. "Light green water. Huh, I wonder if the water is safe to drink."
Goku looked around in confusion. "I had way too much expectation on what Planet Namek would look like. I thought the Namekian culture would be a lot similar to Earth."
"What do you mean, Daddy?." Gohan looked at his father.
"What I mean, Gohan is that I would have thought to see cities or even towns." Goku explained.
"I know what you mean, Goku. Just look at this place." Krillin looked around with a face of wonder. "The planet is absolutely quiet. Too quiet. You sure this is the actual Namek, Bulma?."
Bulma put her fists on her hips. "That is what the computer says on the ship. This can not be an illusion Hmmm, just to be sure, I will just pull out the dragon radar and see if there are actual Dragon Balls here."
When Bulma pulled out her radar and clicked the only button that was located on the top, the green radar screen pulled up the coordinate location of four Dragon Balls to her happiness. Especially when she checks that her radar is accurate and not inaccurate in case they are in another illusion.
"Guys, I just already found four balls close by." Bulma happily spoke when showing the radar. "All we need to know is find the Namekians and tell them our situation, and bam we are walking on the easy street."
Chi Chi felt joy when hearing this. "Excellent. And here I thought that we will have deadly competition in getting the dragon balls."
Before anyone could say another word they all stopped dead as soon as they sensed some power. The power that they were sensing felt absolutely wrong. Wrong as in evil. This made Goku get very serious as he looked at the direction as to where it was coming from.
"Please tell me we're sensing Namekian energy." said Chi Chi, having utter fear.
"No, I don't think so, Chi Chi." Krillin looked in the same direction as Goku while having that uneasy look. "These energies that we are feeling feel wrong. You don't think?."
"It looks like it, Krillin." Gohan looked back with seriousness. "We are not the only visitors on this planet."
"It looks like we are going in for a world of reckoning." Goku turned to face both Bulma and Chi Chi. "Bulma. Chi Chi. The both of you need to get back on that ship and leave back to earth. This is no longer safe."
"Well, duh, Goku." Bulma crossed her arms and had that refusal facial expression. "And as for leaving. I am not going."
"Neither is me." said Chi Chi, having the same facial expression as Bulma.
"Guys this is serious. Based upon what John said about Frieza, this situation is too dangerous to stay." pointed out Krillin.
"The same goes for you three. We're not leaving." Chi Chi argued.
"Chi Chi…" Goku was stopped by Bulma.
"Goku, even if we did return to earth and John has recovered by then, it will take me and Chi Chi six whole months back to Namek. Meaning that by the time we get back you all will be dead!." said Bulma.
"Bulma, I mastered Kaioken. I'm pretty sure I can keep me, Krillin, and Gohan surviving long enough longer until you guys come back with John." argued Goku.
"Don't be a dumbass asshole, Goku." Chi Chi frowned at her husband.
As Goku and Krillin were trying to convince Bulma and Chi Chi to return home and come back with John, meanwhile Gohan had sensed two powers that were close. Closer than the other powers that they sensed not too long along. It is getting closer and closer until Gohan has seen the two people responsible. There from a far distance towards that other patch of area were two aliens in armor and having scouters on their faces.
"Guys!?." Gohan got into his fighting stance.
Goku, Krillin, Bulma, and Chi Chi stopped their arguing to see what made Gohan get their attention and not liking what they are seeing.
"Hmm, it would appear that Lord Frieza was right about the possibility that these particular Earthlings and the surviving Saiyans would go to Namek." said the purple alien on the left.
The humanlike alien on the right nodded. "Much less make the foolish attempt to get the Dragon Balls that Lord Frieza has been gathering since we arrived here."
"Oh, shit!." Bulma was in utter shock to see them.
Before Goku could make a move, the two henchmens flew up to the air and did something that neither the Z warriors had even imagined. They set and combined their plasma energy cannons together to extreme high and fired at the ship. Resulting in destroying Kami's old spaceship and reducing it into pieces. This has shocked all five as that is the only ship that would take them home let alone get them there in less time.
"The ship!." Chi Chi went from utter shock to enraged before looking up at the two. "You bastards!."
With no heads up, Chi Chi charged right at the two henchmens. The lackeys were about to engage in a teamup on Chi Chi. That is until Goku instantly appeared behind them and then side kicked the purple alien by his neck, while Chi Chi got in front of the other henchmen and threw multiple punches in his abdomen before throwing him down. Then she performed and fired a quick kamehameha to kill him. Goku pulled the alien's heart out and had him fall into a watery grave.
The other three flew up to meet up with Goku and Chi Chi after seeing that quick display of action. Deciding that it would be wise to leave the current area and quickly go find shelter. Flying away from their current area, the five made sure not to pull so much energy in flying while keeping their powers hidden. Not wanting to be found by one of Frieza's men. The five managed to find a nice deep cave to settle in along with hoping that no one will find them or discover the cave.
Luckily Bulma has taken the small box of capsules before the ship was blown into chunks of pieces, as she activated the mobile home capsule for them to stay in and not stay in a dripping wet cave. Upon settling into the nice luxurious indoor home, the five Z warriors took this moment to work on a strategic plan upon getting any of the Dragon Balls before Frieza can get his hands on all of them.
"In my knowledge, Frieza is only able to get the dragon balls with such great progress because he is using his scouters in finding those Namekians. No one has the above average intelligence like I do to create an accurate dragon ball radar." said Bulma, who is sitting on the nice comfy couch.
Chi Chi sat down the pot of tea that she had made on the coffee table after pouring herself a cup. "True, and it is their weakness. Think about it. The scouters can only detect a person's energy but can not detect a person who is hiding their energy. Meaning that we can travel around and hide our energy, while we can sense a person's energy and get the dragon balls. A stealth operation!."
"That does sound brilliant, Chi Chi. Really. But there is one thing that we are forgetting. And that is trying to convince the natives on this planet that we mean no harm nor are we working for Frieza, without making the wrong approach." said Krillin, taking a bite of a fresh rice ball.
Gohan set his cup of iced orange juice down. "Well, we do have a common enemy as them. We can tell them what made us travel here and tell them about Kami. There should be some Namekians that know Kami."
"You are not wrong about that, son." Goku sat down with a bowl of little bit of rice. "If we tell them that we know Kami personally, then they have to let us use their dragon balls."
Bulma nodded. "This plan will have to be good to know. Goku. Krillin. Gohan. You three should go out and scout to find a village that has not been ravaged by Frieza, while me and Chi Chi stay put until you guys get back."
"Sounds fair." Goku got up from his seat.
"Make sure that Gohan does not get hurt out there, Goku. Krillin. Or else." warned Chi Chi.
"R…Right." said a frightened Krillin.
"Don't worry, Mom, I won't get hurt out there." said Gohan, when giving her a quick hug.
Before anyone could make a move, they all felt huge amounts of power coming in their direction. It sent cold chills down their spines as the feeling is a whole lot worse when it is close. It made all of them rush out of the mobile home and out of the cave, while staying hidden to have a look outside. When doing so they all heard strong flying and before they knew it they saw a good handful sized group fly pass. Leading the group is someone in a hovering chair. That individual is carrying the most power amongst the group.
"I…I…I…It is Frieza. It has to be him with all that power. Ah, damn, John was not pulling our legs about how powerful he is." said a feared Goku.
"Ah, man." Krillin stepped back with a look of fear. "That guy is packing a whole lot of power. We don't stand a single chance against him."
"Oh, wow, I can't imagine anyone having that kind of power. No way!." Chi Chi tried to stop the hairs on her arms from standing up but did not prevail.
Bulma started to feel goosebumps all over both of her arms. She is totally scared. "Now, we really do need my husband here. Oh, John, please recover quickly."
*Back on Earth*
"Doctor, I really do not want another needle in me. If this keeps up, I am about to go insane and will not be held for my actions." said John, eyeing the doctor preparing a shot.
"Until you are fully healed, you will be taking these shots." informed the Doctor.
John looked at Master Roshi. "Any word from Bulma and the others, Roshi?."
Roshi, who is dressed to impress and be a dirty old man by purposelessly grabbing the nurse's ass or boobs, looked at his former student. "As a matter of fact, John, I did got word from Bulma when getting myself ready to visit you."
This made John alerted. "What happened on Namek?. What did she say?."
"For starters they had accidentally landed on an illusion planet to look like Namek and were almost trapped there by those two imprisoned individuals." began Roshi. "Bulma informed me that they arrived on the actual planet and encountered two of Frieza's men. Goku and Chi Chi made quick work of them, that is to be sure. Unfortunately, they did not do it earlier before their ship got destroyed into pieces. It looks like you have to not only aid them but also give them a lift back home."
"Oh, my!." Mrs. Brief put both of her hands on each of her cheek and had a shocked facial expression. "My poor daughter and the others. They are stranded out there on a faraway planet with that evil Frieza person with no means of leaving the planet."
"Oh, no, Krillin, Goku, Gohan, and Chi Chi!." Ox King had that worried look. "They are stuck there!."
"Will you all please stop stressing me out here?." John got their attention. "I am already filled with extreme anxiety about them being stuck on Namek with Frieza. To top it all off, I was right about Frieza knowing about the existence of the Dragon Balls after overhearing Nappa and Turles run their stupid ass mouths when they were on earth. Grrr, dammit all!. I need a senzu bean now and get my ass onto Namek as soon as possible."
"Good news then…."
Everyone looked at the doorway and saw Yajirobe with a full bag in hand.
"I have what the real doctor ordered." Yajirobe pulled out a bean. "Catch."
Yajirobe threw the bean to John before the doctor could raise another complaint. John grabbed the bean while ignoring the pain when moving the muscle and ligaments in his arm and hand. He put it into his mouth, chewed, and swallowed it down. In just a few seconds he felt like his old self again.
"Thank you, Super Saiyan God." John got up off the bed with such ease to the doctor and nurse's shock before gathering his energy to help bust his cases off of his body. "Damn, that feels good to be bandaged and casted free."
John went over to the cabinet where the freshly clean and repaired Gi is located. After putting his boots back on he then made his way to the window and opened it. That is before he grabbed the bag of senzu beans from Yajirobe and tied it to the left side of the rope of his Gi. Next, He hopped up on the ledge and wanted to fly out of the hospital and head on home to where his new ship is waiting, but he is hesitating. His body refused to move as he tried to leap himself out.
"You okay, John?." asked Ox King.
"I would like to say yes, but I'm not." John shook his head and put on his confidante look. "Come on me, get the bitch out of your damn pants."
John flew out and flew at top speed without wasting any precious time he had. The others went over to the window to watch him fly away until he can no longer be seen.
"Huh, I never saw John hesitate at a chance of fighting anyone or taking action. What gives?." asked Ox King.
Yajirobe crossed his arms and had a plain look. "Yeah, and I met John and Goku, and I will tell you they will never be cowardly against anyone or anything. Shit, being cowardly is not their nature or personality."
Roshi stroked his long white beard. "Don't jump into conclusions so soon you two. We never encountered or dealt with Frieza before except for John. When I met John he had never mentioned anything about Frieza when I was training him, his brother, and Krillin. Based upon what Bulma informed me on the power that she and the others have felt, it must be a very good reason why John is not going to eat more than he can chew."
"Oh, dear." Mrs. Brief holded her hands together and put them close to her chest along with a worried face. "Is there any solution to beat this Frieza character?."
Roshi sighed. "I wish that I knew, you guys. I wish that I knew."
John put speed to the metal when flying fast in order to reach Capsule Corp and get into space, and set his course to Namek and go save his wife, brother, sister in law, nephew, and best friend. He just hopes that the situation does not demand him to conquer his fears and stand up against Frieza. If Bulma's life is threatened and on the line when dealing Frieza, then he will just have to get off the bullshit and be a Saiyan. A Saiyan King to be added.
"Do not worry, Bulma. Stay surviving just a bit longer for me, baby." John pushed more in his flying speed. "Your king is on the way."
