Where The Hell is Gohan: Chapter 2
Gohan currently experiencing a mixture of emotions at his new surroundings. One minute he was staring down the King of Hell himself to save his friends, now they were both floating down to what he could only imagine to be Lucifer's Palace.
As the two touched the ground Lucifer took a moment to stretch his limbs before addressing his new charge "Well kiddo here we are, what do you think of my lovely little chateau?".
Looking around Gohan was surprised to see that for someone who was supposed to be the supreme evil being, he sure loved to keep things fancy. Overlooking his castle courtyard was an orchard full of golden apples. Beyond that was a large fountain, with a single statue holding a jug that was pouring out water.
"Um...It's very pretty surprisingly." Gohan deadpanned not knowing much else to say.
Looking almost offended Lucifer gave the boy a side eye "What do you mean surprisingly!?I'll have you know that I planted that orchard with my own two hands….and some magic!".
"Well it's just that on Earth, every depiction of Hell is some fiery wasteland where souls are tortured for eternity. I didn't expect to see a fountain, or an orchard of apples." Gohan said waving his hand frantically hoping to not set off the fallen angel in front of him.
Sighing loudly Lucifer could only shake his head "Kid you shouldn't listen to everything you hear. Everyone loves to paint me as the bad guy, but without me you human's wouldn't have had free will to make your own decisions!". Furrowing his brow he motioned for the boy to follow him "Anyway I didn't waste my time bringing you down here for sightseeing.".
Walking side by side, the two ascended the large stair case that led to the foyer of the palace. Pushing open the large doors Lucifer strolled inside while Gohan quickly moved to follow him.
As soon as they were inside, the doors behind them slammed as if an unseen force had closed them tightly. Soon after a small red demon wearing a butler's outfit came running to greet his master before taking his coat.
"Well home Lord Lucifer, I take it your business in the land of the living has been concluded successfully?" The small demon asked with his head tilted upward in a gentlemanly manner.
Grinning widely Lucifer pointed to the boy beside him "Of course I did Higgins, it's me after all! How could I call myself the Head Honcho around here if I couldn't complete such a simple task as collecting one boy?".
The demon butler showed no emotions as he began to hang Lucifer's coat on the rack by the door "Very good then sir. Maybe now you can stop spending your nights eating chocolate ice cream and crying about Miss Charlotte's well being.".
Dropping his smirk Lucifer tried to puff out his chest to save face in front of Gohan "Those are definitely not things that a being such as I would do!".
"I suppose you also did not say that you would cast yourself into the void if your daughter were to perish due to her happy-go-lucky attitude?" Higgins added on.
Turning a deep red, Lucifer tried to shoo his Butler away "That will be all Higgins! Prepare some dinner for our guest he shall be staying the night and making his way to my daughter's location tomorrow morning.".
The demon butler turned to leave before replying with "Very good sir, as you wish.".
Looking back at the boy who had just been standing silent through the entire conversation, Lucifer groaned "Just follow me to my office so we can talk about why I went through the pain of bringing you here".
As they walked through the hallways Gohan took notice of all the paintings that hung on the walls of the palace. What appeared to be a family portrait immediately caught his attention and he had to ask "Is that your family?".
Stopping his travel Lucifer took a moment to stare longingly at the painting before answering him "Yeah that's my little Char-Char. She's the whole reason I put in all this work to get you in the first place.".
Gohan examined her features in awe. He noticed her face was as pale as her father's, but her eyes were large and full of life. She had a beautiful smile that showed off her large fangs. On the side of her cheeks were two large rosy dimples and to top everything off, had a puppy dog button nose.
Honestly Gohan thought she was beautiful and could tell that from just hearing him that Lucifer cared deeply for his daughter. Looking at the other person in the painting he could only assume that the woman with the horns must be her mother.
"Will I be meeting your wife as well?" Gohan asked as Lucifer's eyes darkened, and he lowered his head.
"No….we separated seven years ago kid. I haven't spoken to her since then and barely speak to my daughter anymore." Lucifer said reaching up and placing a hand on the painting.
Gohan could see that this was a sore subject for him as he tried to apologize "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories you might have.".
Snapping out of his daydream Lucifer quickly put a smile back on his face "Hey don't worry about it kid, sometimes things like this happens when you get older! Let's not dwell on the past, and instead we can get down to business. Please step into my office.".
Moving into a doorway onto his right Lucifer led Gohan in a spacious office room, that seemed cluttered with paperwork and random rubber ducky's thrown about.
Motioning to a chair, Gohan took a seat while Lucifer sat himself behind his desk.
"Alright kiddo, now we that we are comfortable let's get down to brass tacks. I bet your mind is just racing trying to figure out why I wanted you here, isn't it?" Lucifer asked as Gohan quickly nodded curiosity getting the better of him.
Waving his hand the Fallen Angel caused a mass of red cloudy energy to float above them acting as a makeshift screen "Well kid we will start from the beginning. As you may know there are three destinations that a soul can go to when they finally bite the big one." The screen showed a location that he had only heard his father speak of that looked like a giant snake path "The first stop is known as Otherworld where everyone must stand before King Yemma to be judged. He judges you on all your past actions and decides whether you go above or below.".
Snapping his fingers Lucifer changed the image to now reflect their current location and showed off many of the different rings of Hell "Next is the lovely little prison I was kicked down to called Hell. This is where all the so called evil souls that can't reach paradise are sent. Since we are on a tight schedule, I'm just going to give you a brief overview of what to expect here. Each area in Hell is called a ring and is ruled by one of the Seven Deadly Sins.".
Gohan was trying to keep up with him but had to interrupt at the last part of the information "Wait...So each of the Seven Deadly Sins are actual beings instead of just forces of nature?".
Giving him an amused look Lucifer only replied with one word "Yup.".
Gohan could only imagine how powerful they were if they were at the top of the ladder alongside Lucifer. He then realized that Lucifer said he was the Sin of Pride "So how did you become the Sin of Pride?".
Lucifer gripped the edge of his desk tightly for a few moments before taking a deep breath "Let's just say that Lilith and I had big ideas for humanity but the uptight fucks upstairs just didn't want to risk anything fucking up the so called big plan" He could see that the boy looking at him with focused eyes and forced the conversation back to the screen "Alright kid, since we are on the topic of it, the last place you need to know about is Heaven.".
Gohan could see a pure white city, with lots of Angelic beings, and surprising few souls wandering it's streets.
"This is where the purely righteous and deserving go to spend the rest of the eternity, in paradise." Lucifer stated with a bored tone.
Not able to stop himself Gohan had to comment on what he was seeing "Seems Surprisingly empty. I thought more people would be up there".
Smirking to himself the King of Hell had to agree with him "Yeah Gohan, it's as if bar is set to high for most people. That's why we get most of the influx down here in Hell.".
Gohan frowned at this. Was it really fair for most people to suffer in Hell for eternity in Hell while only a select few actually have what it takes to make it through to paradise. To him it seems like the system was rigged.
"If you think that's bad kid wait till you find out what happens every year." Lucifer said with a frown.
"What do you mean?" Gohan asked not liking the look on his face.
Standing up Lucifer walked to a nearby window and stared out to the large city that made of the Pride Ring "There are two types of beings that you need to know about in Hell. Natural born members of Hell including my Charlotte are called Hell born. They are able to traverse any ring in Hell, and are free to do anything they like within reason down here in Hell." Turning towards Gohan to make sure he was paying attention Lucifer continued "Then we have the main problem down here in Hell, namely the Human souls that are confined only to the Pride Ring. We call them Sinner Demon's and they are a royal pain in my ass!" He roared out banging his head against the wall in frustration.
Looking at the man with concern, Gohan could only stare at him with wide eyes.
Taking the time to compose himself Lucifer groaned out before locking eyes with his charge "Sorry about that, but they are the reason why I need your help.".
Now Gohan was really interested "Are Sinner Demon's threatening your daughter life!?".
Letting out a halfhearted chuckle Lucifer ran a clawed hand through his blond hair "I wish it was that simple kid, I wouldn't have had to spend so much time trying to get to Earth if that was the case. I'm getting ahead of myself though, let me explain why they are so much of an issue right now.".
Gesturing back to the screen he reverted the image back to Heaven where Gohan could see a large army of winged Angels, holding various weapons all lined up at the gates of Heaven. At the front of the forces there was a rather large male angel that was wearing what looked like a large LED screen helmet with two large horns. He held a golden guitar and was commanding the Angel's to swoop down into Hell.
"Wait, what are all those angels doing!?" Gohan said before the screen showed the carnage that was about to unfold. Gohan couldn't believe his eyes as he could only watch as the Angels began swooping throughout the pride ring slaughtering Demons left and right "Why are they attacking them, they are already being punished, what is the point!?".
Lucifer took no pleasure in watching the replay of last year's Extermination "Heaven is afraid that if the number of Sinner Demon's isn't culled then they will rise up to threaten Heaven. What a load of shit, these fools only care about increasing their influence down here." Seeing how uneasy Gohan was becoming he quickly vanished the screen and continued "They fear Sinner Demons because of their ability to gain power through making deals, or forcing other Demons to sign their souls away.".
"Aren't you their King!? Why aren't you out there protecting them!?" Gohan yelled out not believing that Heaven could be so brutal as to slaughter thousands under a presumed threat.
"I tried for years to help them! Lilith and I were cast down here just because we dared to give the gift of free will to humans! Do you know what it's like to spend every waking minute to improve their afterlife just to be spurned and attacked at every opportunity!?" He yelled back at Gohan as the Half-Saiyan sat back down in silence.
Realizing how heated things have just become he tried to defuse the situation "Look I don't need you to understand why I do the things I do down here, I just need to know if you will help me protect my daughter's life.".
Still in disbelief Gohan could only give a small nod in response.
"Maybe you would be more enthusiastic if I explain how you could help her. My little Char-Char has always been a dreamer that wanted to help people. In a way I think she could easily be the purest person in Hell." Lucifer stated fondly.
"Why would she be in danger if she just wants to help sinners?" Gohan asked unsure of where he fit into the equation.
"That's the problem Gohan. I made a deal with Heaven to not interfere with the exterminations as long as they don't attack the Hellborns and spare my daughter from being killed." Lucifer stated as he pressed a hand to his forehead.
Staring at Lucifer who was groaning at the situation, Gohan realized now why he didn't get involved "Is that why you and you daughter don't speak much because of this deal you made?".
"Not exactly kid, I love my daughter but due to my position I haven't exactly been the best father I could have been. The last time we spoke we argued because of the deal I made" Lucifer said remembering how heart broke his daughter was at his decision "That's why I need your help! She wants to rehabilitate sinner's so they could get into heaven, but I think it's a fool's errand. I tried so many times to get them to listen to my ideas for the souls of Hell and all that got me was a one way ticket here!".
Gohan could feel the sadness coming from the man as he poured his heart out, but had no idea on how he could help "No offense Lord Lucifer, but I don't know how I could be able to help your daughter. I mean Mr. Piccolo was evil before he became my friend, but I know nothing about how to redeem possibly thousands of souls!".
"I looked far and wide for someone to help me with this. I've spend to many hours looking for a soul up above to help keep her safe, and no matter what I tried I always found my way back to your name." Lucifer placed his hand on Gohan's shoulders and gave him a pleading look "I've watched events from your life, and I am certain that you and Charlie are kindred spirits that would be a perfect match!".
"A perfect match for what!?" Gohan asked getting a bad feeling from the Lord of Hell.
Smiling widely Lucifer announced "I want you to marry my daughter!".
Gohan almost choked on his own saliva as he yelled out "Marry you daughter!?".
"Of course my boy you are one of the most powerful beings ever, and as of now the purest soul in existence, who else should have the honor of marrying my little Char-Char!?" Lucifer yelled out with enthusiasm.
"There is no way she will just accept a thirteen year old boy as her future husband!" Gohan stuttered out not believing what he was being told.
"Of course she will, after all that is one of the perks of being the King of Hell! What I say goes whether or not anyone else agrees." Lucifer stated with his head held high "Besides this is all for the sakes of my her safety. Even if she becomes even more angry at me, I'm doing this all for her. Besides she's almost two-hundred years old and I wanna have some grand-kids for me to spoil!".
"Um...I need an adult!" Gohan squeaked out in disbelief.
Lucifer narrowed his eyes as he pulled Gohan close "I am an adult…".
Flinging Gohan back into his chair, Lucifer used his magic to form a contract for Gohan to sign. An elaborate scroll flowed in front of him that was accompanied with a fancy pen that dropped itself into Gohan's hand.
"All I need you to do is sign on the dotted line. To save you the trouble this contract seals the deal between you and charlie, and gives you the authority to conduct business under my name. This will open a lot of doors for you in hell and should keep a lot of the lower class rabble from trying to harass you too much. This also means that you are required to live here until all of my daughter's need have been met." Lucifer said quite pleased with himself.
Gohan gulped as he stared at the contract. Did he really want to sign his life away like this? He never imagined that he would be forced into a position of marriage at this young of an age, and could see why his father told him to be wary of it.
"Will I be able to see my family again if I agree?" Gohan asked thinking of his mother and his soon to be born sibling.
Lucifer looked at him with a sympathetic smile "Of course kid I'm the Devil, not a monster. Although it will be much harder to get you back to earth to see them, but I'm sure I can find a way to make it happen.
Although he didn't want to be away from them, Gohan also couldn't help but think about the current situation in Hell. If Lucifer's daughter was really wanting to save the souls of so many sinner's in Hell, then he wanted to help her in any way he could, after all he was his father's son. He just hoped that she wouldn't try to murder him once she found out about this deal he was making.
"You won't try to attack my friends after this will you!?" Gohan asked suspiciously, trying to cover all of his bases.
"I swear on my power as king that I will not attack your friends….Minus that damn Fat boy on the lookout! He's had it far too good for far too long.." Lucifer said cracking his knuckles.
Gohan sighed "As long as you don't kill any of them.".
Lucifer let out a huff as he finally relented "Fine, but later after this whole business is concluded I will be calling on you for some favors.".
Realizing that this is the best he was going to get, Gohan stared down at the contract. Taking a deep breath Gohan quickly signed his name down on the dotted line, as Lucifer grinned.
"Truly from the bottom of my heart I thank you…..and I'm really sorry for this next part" Lucifer sheepishly said to Gohan's confusion.
Before he could ask what he meant the contract exploded in a bright white light causing them both to shield their eyes, before striking Gohan straight in the chest where his heart should be. The boy let out a scream of pain as he felt as if something was shackling his very soul. He fell to the ground in pain before quickly losing consciousness as a Golden apple appeared right over his heart, appearing as if Lucifer's very symbol had tattooed itself upon him.
As the light died down, Lucifer gazed down upon the poor boy. He didn't expect their deal to fuse itself so violently to the boy, but as a result he could feel himself become much stronger as a result.
"Geez kid, just how much power are you keeping in that little body of your!" Lucifer asked rhetorically as he flexed his wings. He felt as if he had doubled in strength, and now had the stamina that he hadn't felt in years!
"Higgins!" Lucifer yelled out as the Butler quickly made his way to his office.
"Yes sir, how can I be of service?" The demon quickly asked seeing the smoldering child on the ground "Is he alright sire?".
Laughing to himself, Lucifer calmed his help down "He'll be right as rain if he is half as strong as I think he is. Do me a favor Higgins, take him down to the guest room, and prepare a large meal for him. When he wakes up I have a feeling that he is going to eat enough for a small army. After he awaken do me a favor and contact me so I can introduce my new son-in-law to his bride to be!".
Higgins looked at him in shock "Your new Son-in-law sir!? Princess Charlotte is not going to like this!".
"You let me handle that issue. I just need you to get him to his room, and make sure he is fed when he wakes up. Starting first thing in the morning he is going to have a full day ahead of him." Lucifer said running out of his office to burn of some of the energy his was feeling.
Looking down at the now unconscious child he could only shake his head "I hope that you can survive the Princess's partner dear boy, I have a feeling she is not going to take your presence with an air of enthusiasm.
Snapping his fingers two maids came in with a wheel barrow and they both tried to lift the boy up with causing him too much discomfort.
-Unknown Location-
A lone limo was riding around the streets of Pentagram City. In the backseat sat two figures or were conversing with each other until the smaller of the two stop talking and gained a angry look on her face.
"What's wrong Vaggie?" Asked the taller of the two showing concern for her partner's angry face.
The smaller one looked at the window towards the passing street as she spoke "I don't know Charlie, but I have a feeling that something just happened that I'm not going to like!."
As if on cue the one known as Charlie phone began to ring.
"Um….it's my dad!" Charlie said as she looked at the phone cautiously.
Vaggie looked at her with a surprised look "Wasn't the last time you two spoke you were arguing about the hotel?".
"Yeah, it must be really important if he is willing to contact me first!" Charlie said as she quickly answered the call "Um..Hi dad….Wait what?…..You did what!?" she screamed into the phone as she threw her phone across the inside the of the limo.
"What!? What did he do!?" Vaggie yelled grabbing her by the shoulders.
Charlie looked like she was about to cry as she pulled the girl into a deep hug "He forced me into an engagement!".
Staring at the girl in shock Vaggie could only say one thing "I fucking knew it!".

That's the end for chapter two. I really wanted to get this chapter out to establish the reasoning Lucifer is using for getting Gohan to Hell. The next chapter will be about Gohan meeting Charlie and Vaggie, and a few other characters.
When it comes to reviews I really enjoy having conversations about ideas but I will say now that if you leave a anonymous review and all you are doing is insulting me or trashing the story the I'm just going to delete your review and turn them off completely. I don't care if you don't enjoy the story but you need to be a least respectful when you post on it. I will say again part of why I'm writing is for my own enjoyment so I'm not going to change my story for every little nitpick that someone might have.
Also you might wanna just save your time and not message anything about power scaling because it's getting a little old by this point and I'm not wanting to keep talking about it. It's not like there is non-stop fighting throughout the story. If anything this story is more about Gohan's reactions and involvement within the Hazbin, and Helluva Boss universes. There will be fights yes but I'm not going to be just retelling DBZ through my story. If you can't even be slightly open minded then just read another fic. Thank you for everyone who actually wrote to me about some ideas you might have and I do take them into account while writing.
