Alright everyone I'm back again after some unexpected life problems. As always not gonna bore with the details so I'm just gonna get started. Also I apologize for my mistake where Gohan learned the same thing from both Lucifer, and Charlie. I honestly didn't think about it at the time. Going forward just go with the talk between Gohan and Lucifer. Also as I said before if you can't stand the power scaling don't read. I'm not going to entertain rude reviews.
Where the Hell is Gohan: Chapter 5
The sounds of alarms blared through the air of Pentagram City as the yearly extermination had begun. The dark red sky had been blotted out with angelic wings as thousands of exterminators dive bombed the large city down below. They came brandishing swords, spears, knives, and bows as they hunted any unfortunate sinner that happened to be unlucky enough to not have shelter.
Gohan hated every last minute of watch he was seeing on the television screen. He was instantly reminded of the time Garlic Junior tried to take over the world with the Black Water Mist. This time however he knew that these exterminators were not being controlled unwillingly. He could sense the negative energy coming from these so called holy warriors as they slaughtered the defenseless sinner demons around the city.
For hours the three just sat on the couch staring at the carnage in disgust, but unwilling to look away. Looking over the other two on the couch Gohan could see Vaggie trying to keep Charlie calm as she looked to be on the edge of tears. He couldn't really blame her as these were her people and she could do nothing to keep them safe.
Gohan clenched his fist against the side of the couch as a horrible feeling welled up inside of him. He wanted to do something….anything to make all the suffering stop. He knew these were damned souls but even they didn't deserve to be hunted down like animals.
"This is horrible!" He said to himself as the women looked towards him.
Vaggie was the first one to say something as she still held onto the sobbing Charlie's hand "Now you see why we are doing this? Every year this is to be the fate of all the sinners in Hell unless we do something.".
"What is the point of it all though!? Surely not everyone in Hell is so bad that they deserve to be erased from existence?" Gohan questioned feeling the horns on top of his head starting to ache as his anger grew.
Charlie sensing his anger and confusion quickly reached out to grab his hand, using the hand not being held by Vaggie "That's what I've been asking myself for years now. It's why I started this crazy dream in the first place. I want to lead the way for a better future for the sinners who could use a second chance.".
Looking Charlie in the eye Gohan could tell she was serious as she gave his hand an affectionate squeeze.
"I don't how much help I can be but I will do anything to stop this senseless bloodshed." Gohan said as the two women noticed his horns were sticking out slightly longer than they were before.
Before either of them could say something about it, the sound of Tom Trench and Katie Killjoy rang out from the Television.
"As we approach hour six of the yearly extermination, we now turn to the new and improved Vox cams to see some of the action that is happening on our streets. These cams were happily supplied by Overlord Vox of the V's to give us a better look as some of the slaughter!" Katie cheerily said smiling at the camera.
Suddenly the broadcast changed to the view of multiple cameras that gave an extreme close up of some of the more brutal kills that had been going on.
"Oh of course that bastard would profit off the single worst night of the year!" Vaggie screeched as she rubbed her temples.
"Who's Vox, and what are the V's?" Gohan asked confused at Vaggie's outburst.
Vaggie sighed before answering his question "Vox is an extremely powerful overlord that has been gaining a lot of influence in Hell due to his partnership with two more equally powerful overlords. They call themselves the V's because of the names Vox, Valentino, and Velvette. I'll be honest I hope you never have to involve yourself with them (Oh the foreshadowing...).
Gohan wanted to know more but as he was about to ask he was interrupted by the TV again.
Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench were excited screeching at a camera screen that showed three women running across an area of destroyed town that was littered with weapons.
"Well if it isn't the queen of arms Carmilla Carmine, and her two daughters out in about in all this carnage!" Katie Killjoy laughed out "Surely they weren't stupid enough to forget what today was!?".
"Well Katie it looks like this might be her last mistake as it looks like they are being chased by at least five exterminators and are gaining quickly!" Tom said before getting smacked upside the head with a glass bottle by Katie.
"Doesn't matter Tom! I'm sure once she's gone the other Overlords with be eager to get their claws into her territories!" Katie smirked as she straitened herself up in her seat.
Gohan's eyes were glued to the television as he watched the women try to escape their pursuers. He could tell the demon's were close to each other as they each showed concern for each as they ran.
Recognizing the area that the television showed Gohan could sit idly no longer as his anger finally boiled over. Jumping off the couch Gohan quickly ran for the door as Charlie and Vaggie tried to call after him.
"Gohan no it's not safe for you!" Charlie screamed out as Vaggie had to hold her back. Trying to pull herself free she frantically tried to chase after him, but Vaggie held her tight.
"We can't chase after him Charlie, if they see you out there you will be just as much of a target as everyone else!" Vaggie said as she hoped to everything that she held dear that Gohan wouldn't become just another body on the street.
-Streets of Pentagram City-
Carmilla Carmine was cursing her luck right about now as she and her daughter's ran. She was usually so careful when she went to find Angelic weapons to re-purpose for the various demon's she sold to. It's how she gained so much influence and respect in Hell.
On this night however she stumbled across a large concentration of discarded Angelic weapons and spent a little too much time trying to collect them all. She was cursing her own stupidity because not only did she endanger her own life with this excursion, but both her daughters went along to help her.
Now the three we being chased by some exterminators who were patrolling the area. The three ran as fast as they could trying to return to their home. Carmilla herself was guarding the rear as Odette and Clara ran ahead of her. She would be damned before she ever allowed those self-righteous pigeons to hurt even a single hair on her daughters heads.
Suddenly Clara shrieked out as three exterminators cut off their advance as two more joined the rank ready to cut the girls down. Gritting her teeth Carmilla jumped in front of the two as she spread her arms as his to shield them from the attack. "Run Mis Queridas*!" She shouted two the frightened girls.
Knowing better than to question her Odette grabbed Clara's hand and pulled her along as Clara tried to reach out for her mother.
The lead angel readied her spear as she shouted at the mother "Prepare to die demon filth!". She thrust her spear forward ready to hear the sound of her screams before she was stopped by a hand grabbing onto the blade of her spear and holding it back from it's target.
Carmilla could not believe her eyes as what could have been her untimely end was diverted by what appeared to be a small muscular boy with a tail.
The boy in question was holding the Angelic spear with one hand as the exterminator tried to pull the weapon back to no avail.
"Unhand me you wretched demon!" She screamed while having a very one-sided match of tug of war.
Turning his head the boy looked back at Carmilla as if checking to see if she was okay. Ignoring the screeching from the angry angel trying to remove her weapon from his grip he called back her "Are you okay Miss?".
Carmilla didn't know what to say so she just nodded her head to let him know that she had heard him. She knew he couldn't be a regular demon as he was gripping onto the head of the Angelic spear tightly. That would have seared the flesh of any other demon as soon as it made contact.
"Good...Get somewhere safe I'll handle them." He said before looking back to the exterminator and without another word wrenched the spear out of her hand and drop-kicked her into the other shocked angels behind her.
Deciding not to waste her only opportunity Carmilla ran to join her daughters who were had stopped to make sure their mother was okay.
"We are going!" She shouted to the two concerned girls who looked unsure about what just happened. They began sprinting away faster than they ever have ran before.
Odette looked back to the boy who had just knocked down the squad "But mother what about him!?".
Carmilla hated to admit it but even she didn't want to leave him to fend for himself, especially after he had just saved her life. Unfortunately she knew even with her fighting experience, even she couldn't handle a squad of five on her own.
She also knew that if they didn't escape then she would have wasted the opportunity that had been presented to them. For the first time in awhile she didn't know what to do.
Odette however was not content with just leaving their savior to die as she broke away from the other two to run back to help him.
The other two stopped in their tracks and chased after her not wanting her to get involved with the boy and the exterminators.
"Odette you will stop this foolishness right now young lady!" Carmilla yelled trying to slow her daughter's pace.
Odette made no attempt to slow herself as she got closer to where they had just escaped from.
Spotting the boy again the three were floored by what had happened in the few moments they had been running.
-With Gohan-
Gohan could not watch more killing as he took flight to where the women were fleeing. He had recognized some of the destroyed buildings from the car ride to the hotel. Unfortunately with all the carnage some of the terrain was destroyed causing the area to look different than when he arrived.
Still though he was able to backtrack his way to the location he had seen them running within minutes due to his speed. Concentrating hard, he was able to sense a group of fast traveling energies a short distance away. Taking his chances he zipped over to the location that he sensed and was relieved when he spotted the women he saw on TV.
He could see the larger one stand in front of the other two as if to shield them. She shouted for them to run as once of the exterminators readied her spear for the kill.
He would not allow her to become another victim as he moved quickly in front of her and grabbed the head of the spear as hard as he could. He grunted slightly as the spear head felt hot to the touch and he could once again feel the horns on his burn. Still though he persisted and refused to give the angel a single inch.
"Are you okay Miss?" He asked the stunned woman who nodded at him "Good….Get somewhere safe I'll handle them.".
Unable to stand the burning in his hand any longer he wrenched the spear out of her hands and drop-kicked her in the chest knocking her into the other angels with a loud thud. He was relieved to see that the woman took the hint and took off running as he dropped himself into a battle stance.
Sure enough the group had recovered and once again raised their weapons in response to his attack.
"What do we do!?" One of them yelled to the others as she gripped her sword. The lead angel who Gohan had disarmed groaned out before pulling a knife from her belt "The plan is the same just slaughter him!".
Gohan smirked as he rushed the group punching one of the exterminators in the gut instantly launching her into a wall and knocking her out. Without giving them time to recover he quickly spun and roundhouse kicked another into the air breaking the visor on her helmet and causing her land in a crumpled heap on the ground.
The other two Angels tried to rush him from both sides as they raised their weapons to try and rip him to shreds. Gohan quickly used an afterimage to dodge their attack as the two angels crashed face first into each other.
"Wow that easy!" Gohan said as he stared down the final Angel that he had disarmed before. Her spear was still on the ground where he had disarmed her, but he could see that she had a knife firmly clasped in her hand.
"You think you've won demon filth!?" She yelled at him, angry that he had made them look like fools.
Gohan could not believe she was still willing to fight as he stared her down "Well….yeah, I mean you saw how easily I beat your buddies.".
He then noticed that she was started to look past him as could hear her chuckle crazily "Looks like your little hero act fell on death ears!".
Turning around quickly Gohan could sense one of the women that he had saved running quickly towards him.
As he spun around to see why she had returned, the exterminator had thrown her knife as a distraction as she grabbed her spear from the ground and sped past Gohan to kill the easier prey.
The knife had struck the blond demon in the leg as she crashed into the ground with a cry of pain as the angel prepared to strike "Die Demon scum!".
Gohan tried to stop her from striking but realized that he would not be able to make it to her in time to stop the blow "NO!" He yelled as he tried his best to make it to the girl.
The blond haired girl was terrified as she was spear dropped down upon her. She closed her eyes and raised one arm up in a failed attempt to stop the spear. Moments passed and she waited for the impact but it never came.
Looking up her jaw dropped as both her and Gohan could only stare at Carmilla Carmine who had intercepted the blow and decapitated the angel with a well placed kick.
Gohan could only stare in amazement at the power and grace the woman showed to be able to dispatch an enemy the way she had.
As she touched down onto the ground she gave the boy a firm glare before turning her attention to the injured girl on the ground.
"Odette my darling daughter are you okay!" She yelled to her daughter with a mix on frustration and concern.
The young blonde demon winced as she pain in her leg grew as the knife was still lodged deep inside her flesh "I'm sorry mother….I just wanted to help him!".
Gohan felt terrible knowing that she came back thinking that he was in danger. He was so focused on beating the exterminators that it didn't cross his mind that they might try to attack the group again. Standing there silently he could only watch as the three expressed their concern for each other.
The other girl with the curly hair and large black horns knelt down beside the downed girl and hugged her tightly "Do you have a fucking death wish!? He clearly had it handled by himself!".
"I agree that being said we still owe him our thanks." Carmilla said he she stepped towards the boy.
Gohan realized that she was addressing him and quickly remembered his manners and bowed to her "I apologize ma'am my name is Son Gohan!".
The woman raised an eyebrow at the boy as she took note of his manners and his name "You have done nothing that needs apologizing for niño. In fact it is I who should be apologizing to you for having to risk your afterlife to save us. My name is Carmilla Carmine, and these are my daughters Clara, and the one who injured herself to assist you is Odette.".
Smiling at her Gohan raised a hand to shake hers "Pleased to meet you!". Looking over to Odette who was looked like she was suffering, Gohan quickly dropped to her side "I'm sorry that I wasn't quick enough to stop the blade!".
Odette was sweating furiously as the blade was currently burning into her flesh "It was my fault….I couldn't just leave you to die after saving us!" She struggled to speak as the pain was becoming to much.
Carmilla moved to her daughters side and began to stroke her cheek "My precious girl, you must be in agony right now. Stay still so I can remove the blade!".
Odette nodded weakly as she leaned into Clara's side trying to brace herself for the removal of the blade. Not wanting her to suffer for much longer Carmilla quickly reached down and with a surgeon's precision quickly pulled the blade out of the girls leg, and ripped off a portion of her own clothing to apply pressure to the wound. Odette cried out in pain as the blade was extracted from her leg.
"We have to get her back to our home while we still have time!" Carmilla said lifting her daughter up, being careful of her leg and turned to the boy "Seeing as you are a capable fighter can you accompany us back to my tower? I swear I will find some way to compensate you for your service.".
Carmilla Carmine was a proud woman who hated being indebted to demon whether it be Hellborn or Sinner Demon. However she was also a mother who had a very large soft spot for her children. This boy had just saved both her life and her children's lives. This deed would not go unrewarded.
Gohan however was not a greedy person as he shocked the group with his next sentence "No payment needed, I just wanted to make sure you ladies were safe!".
The three couldn't believe it. How was this boy stuck in Hell with both manner's and kindness? It just didn't add up in their eyes. Truly if this boy belongs in Hell then Heaven definitely stack the deck hard against everyone.
"We can talk about payment later, we have to go now!" Clara said as she pointed into the distance as more exterminators could be seen in the distance.
Gohan nodded as he responded to her "All right lead the way, I'll take up the rear.".
Without another word the three took off in the direction of safety with Odette being carried by Carmilla.
-Carmilla Carmine Tower-
The four finally made it to the home of Carmilla without any additional incidents as the filed into the building. Climbing into the elevator they rode all the way to the penthouse before getting out into the place the girls called home.
"Clara please keep our guest entertained while I deal with your sister's injury." Carmilla spoke softly to her daughter as she carried the now passed out girl into a different room.
Looking over to Gohan, Clara motioned him over to the couch so he could sit down.
The two exchanged awkward glances at each other for a few minutes before Clara finally decided to break the silence with a question "So….do you normally save beautiful women from blood thirsty angels all the time!?" she asked with a nervous chuckle.
Gohan nervously laughed as he tried to answer her question without giving too much away "Um….Not really, this was my first time actually.".
"Wow so we hit the hero jackpot!" Clara said before looking at him curiously "How did a cutie like you end up down here in Hell?".
"Um...To be honest I don't really have an answer for that." Gohan lied knowing that it wasn't a good idea to be spouting off his reasons for being here. He didn't want to become a risk for Charlie just in case someone might be against her.
Clara seemingly bought his excuse and decided to move on "To be fair most souls probably don't know what they did to wind up down here. Personally I think Heaven is just blocking anyone who they don't find useful from getting up there. I mean what are you sixteen….seventeen. To young to be down here at such a young age.".
"Actually, I'm only thirteen." Gohan said nonchalantly.
Clara stared at him for a total of ten seconds before shrieking out "Thirteen!? How in Satan's name do you have a body like and the ability to fight of Angel's!?".
"Vitamins….and good genes." Gohan squeaked out trying not to reveal his origins.
The girl could only stare at him with wide eyes before a voice called out "Well if Vitamins could do that to a person then please send me some of yours.".
Carmilla came across the room as she sat down across from the two before looking towards her daughter "She's stable but she will need to rest for a few days.".
That was all Clara needed to hear as she bolted for the room where he sister was sleeping, leaving Gohan and Carmilla alone so they could talk.
"Now that we are alone, let's be completely honest with each other. I don't where you came from, or why you are here….but there is no way you are a sinner demon." Carmilla said narrowing her eyes at him.
Gohan's eyes shot wide open as she called him out "Why would you say that!?".
"First off, you don't look like any Sinner Demon that I've ever seen. Yes you may have horns and a tail, but without those you could pass for a regular living human. Secondly you grabbed an Angelic Spearhead straight on without loosing your hand in the process. You saw what just a leg wound from an Angelic weapons did to my daughter with just a leg wound. Third and finally….no Sinner Demon would decline payment from an Overlord." She finished looking at him with a small smirk.
Gohan was both impressed and slightly frightened that she was able to sus him out so easily. This did worry him since he was warned about Overlords and their manipulative tendencies.
Sensing the worry on his face Carmilla sighed "Don't worry I'm not going to ask about your past, or even why you are here now. I just want you to know that whether you want it or not, I owe you a favor for saving my life and my daughters from those bastards.".
"That's really not necessary ma'am, I just say you guys being chased on TV and decided to help you. Nothing more, nothing less." Gohan said trying to get her to understand his reasoning.
Carmilla smiled but still insisted "I appreciate your manners, and find your moral compass refreshing but I must still insist. Name anything and if it is withing my power I will see that it is done.".
Gohan thought long and hard but couldn't think of anything he could possibly want "Well seeing as that I'm new here, how about…we just consider each other friends?".
Carmilla looked at him for a second before giving him a quick "What!?".
Gohan repeated himself trying to get the point across "Well I can't really think of anything that I would need from you, but since I don't know much of Hell I could use some friends to get to know here." He finished placing an arm behind his head.
Carmilla was astounded that he was given the offer of a lifetime and all he wants is to make friends "Well….I have to say that I've never had anyone decline a repayment request just to make another friend….Very well Gohan consider the Carmine family your friend. As long as you don't do anything to hurt my girls or for the matter me as well.".
"Well it would kinda defeat the purpose of saving you if I was just going to attack you later." Gohan said with a blank face. Carmilla had to admit that he had her there.
For the next hour the two made small talk, seemingly ignoring the rest of the extermination happening outside.
Finally a loud siren rang through the air that cause the two to silence themselves in alarm. Looking at the clock Carmilla was confused as she listened to the siren blare.
"What is that noise?" Gohan said as the alarm kept ringing.
Standing up Carmilla walked to the window and stared outside. Sure enough Angels were retreating back into the sky as the portal to Heaven opened back up.
"That's the alarm to signal the end of the extermination." Looking back to the clock she was suspicious of the sudden retreat "But for some reason it's ended early this year.".
Gohan was confused by this "I wonder why that is?". Suddenly the mark on Gohan's chest reacted violently as he fell to his knees in pain.
Carmilla quickly came to his aid as she kneeled down beside him "What's wrong!?" She shouted in worry as Gohan continued to clutch his chest.
It was as if a fire had erupted in Gohan's chest and quickly spread to his brain as Gohan hear a voice call into his mind.
"Gohan what in the ever-loving me were you thinking!?" The voice of Lucifer rang out in rage.
Looking around in confusion Gohan was confused as to where he was speaking from.
"I'm in your mind genius just think of what you want to say, and I will be able to hear you." The voice of Lucifer spoke again clearly irritated.
Gohan took a deep breath before he chose to reply "How are you speaking to me right now? I can't feel your energy anywhere near me at the moment?".
"I'm still at the mansion filling out paperwork on this years extermination, but enough about where I'm at! Why did I get a frantic call from my daughter, saying that you bolted from the safety of her hotel just to say some demon's from becoming roadkill!?" Lucifer ground out annoyed at his future son-in-law.
"I'm sorry Lord Lucifer but they needed my help! I could just leave them to die…How are you speaking to me right now anyway?" Gohan thought almost forgetting how worried Charlie and Vaggie must have been back at the hotel.
"That little mark on your chest is proof of the deal we made. Unlike other demon's that sell their souls to another, I can manipulate the power of our deal to provide a sort of two way communication between us. That being said you are not to leave the Hotel on Extermination Day. Heaven has no idea you are down here so that means you are not exempt from the kill order!" Lucifer said trying to hammer the point across.
Gohan sighed as he didn't think how this might affect the others "I understand that I was in danger but I swear that I'm in a safe place right now. Even though I did come to blows with some of the exterminators.".
Lucifer was silent for a moment before asking suspiciously "You didn't kill any of them did you!? Cause if you did that would be very bad for you….".
Thinking hard Gohan decided to not inform him of what Carmilla had done, not wanting to put her and her daughters in any more danger "Other than giving a few of them massive headache my hand are clean.".
"Well something has these flying pricks in an uproar. They are calling there forces back to heaven, and I'm hearing talk of a headless angel." Lucifer said.
Gohan could tell that he was on edge "I'm hiding inside of a tower in the middle of town, it's just a short distance from the hotel. If I'm careful I can be there in just a few short minutes.".
"Perfect! Get back there as quick as you can, so that Char-Char doesn't have a heart attack, and you better pray that the other one doesn't break your legs for the stunt you pulled back there!" Lucifer half-joked to the boy.
"Alright Lord Lucifer I'll leave right away." Gohan said apologetically.
"See that you do, and stop calling me Lord! We are going to be family soon, and I'll be damned even more than I already am to have you keep calling me your lord!" Lucifer said before lowering his tone "And Gohan…..be careful out there, I have a feeling that something is happening strange is happening out there. Those bastards were scared shitless as they were retreating.".
Gohan could feel the connection break as the mark on his chest stopped burning. Looking to his left he could see the very concerned look of Carmilla Carmine who had placed one of her hand on his back to steady him.
He slowly stood up before taking a deep breath and exhaling "Sorry about that Miss Carmine.".
"Care to explain exactly what that was about?" She asked giving Gohan a guarded look.
"It's kinda hard to explain." Gohan said with a sigh before standing.
Carmilla crossed her arms across her chest as she stood "How about you start with who owns your soul!".
Gohan eyes shot wide opened as she she was able to sus him out "How did you know?".
"I've been an overlord for a long time boy. There are other ways than just chains to tell if someone is owned by another...namely for you the glowing mark on your chest." The mother spoke as Gohan looked down to see Lucifer's mark shining through his shirt.
Gohan could see from the look on her face that she wasn't willing to let this slide. Taking a deep breath Gohan sat back down on the couch and tried to explain "Let's just say that I was found by someone extremely powerful and that they managed to persuade me to make a deal with them.".
"I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that this particular deal was made by our fearless King himself?" Carmilla asked.
Gohan was impressed at her level of deduction as he nodded "I mean yeah….but how did you know?".
Carmilla chuckled lightly before sitting next to him "You seem too strong to make a deal with just any random overlord, and too nice for that matter. That being said I could see why Lucifer himself wanted to get his claws in you. But what do you get out of selling your soul to him.".
"Well it keeps my family safe for one. Another reason I guess is that he has me helping someone who desperately needs it." Gohan said honestly exhausted from the fight, rescue, and now activation of his deal mark.
Carmilla knew that he would not have just willingly sold his soul unless there was a good reason "Well Gohan I'm sure you must have had your reason for doing this, but heed my warning. This city is filled with all kinds of souls from many different backgrounds. Many will seek to take advantage of your selfless attitude. Keep yourself guarded and be aware of others intentions.".
Gohan knew she was right. Just because the exterminators were kill crazy morons, didn't mean that the other denizens of Hell were any better. He did hold onto the hope that there were still some out there that were worth the redemption that Charlie was offering.
His eyes snapped open thinking back to his fiance, and he remembered what Lucifer had just told him.
"Well Miss Carmine I thank you for letter me stay here for awhile, but I really do need to be getting back to my temporary home." Gohan said standing up and stretching.
Carmilla smiled at him as she moved her hand for Gohan to shake "I understand I must be tending to my daughter as well. Just remember what I said, and be safe getting back.".
"I'll do my best, please tell your daughters that I said goodbye. Also tell Odette that I hope she makes a full recovery." Gohan said shaking her hand.
Carmilla nodded as she walked him to the door "Don't worry I'll make sure to tell them both, and remember even if you ever need it you are welcome here as a friend to my family.".
Gohan nodded back as he walked out the door before taking the elevator back down to the bottom of the tower.
As she locked the door behind him, Carmilla could not help but be intrigued as she pondered to herself "How powerful are you that warrants the King of Hell himself to keep you under his leash?". Without another word she quickly made her way to her daughter's quarters to watch over her.
-Happy Hotel-
To say that Charlie was upset was an understatement. She had been pacing the entrance way for over two hours now waiting for Gohan to return. Vaggie had been doing her best to console her but even she held some concern, and irritation about Gohan's sudden disappearance.
"What if he doesn't come back Vaggie!? It's my fault for not stopping him, and now he could be dead in a ditch from an exterminator's blade in his back." Charlie cried large streams of tears as he cheeks were bright red from all the crying.
Vaggie moved forward and pulled her into a tight hug as she proceeded to stroke her hair comfortingly "We don't know what's happened to him sweety, and as soon as it's safe to go out we can both go and find him.".
Charlie could only sob into her shoulder as she assumed the worst for her new friend/fiance.
Suddenly the two were shook from their moment as a loud bang on the door interrupted them.
Releasing her grip from her girlfriend, Vaggie grabbed her spear and with as much caution as she could muster slowly moved to unlock the front door.
Sure enough just as soon as the lock had turned Gohan quickly jumped through the door way landing in front of the two women as crouched down on the floor trying to catch his breath.
"I'm back!" The boy said as both Charlie and Vaggie stared at him silently. After a few seconds had passed Charlie let out a squeal and tackled the boy to the ground in a tight hug.
"Oh my Satan I can't believe you are okay!" The girl said still not releasing him from the hug.
Vaggie gave the boy an annoyed look as she folded her arms across her chest "Do you have any idea how worried we were about you! Charlie almost paced a hole into the floor after you left, and how was it you managed to avoid the exterminators!?".
Gohan felt ashamed of himself for making them worry but was also surprised that Vaggie herself was showing concern for his safety "Looks girls I'm sorry, but when I saw the Carmines being hunted down like that I just felt like I had to do something.".
Charlie pulled back from the hug for a minute to look the boy in the eyes "Did you manage to save them, and are you hurt at all!?".
Gohan smiled as he gave her a thumbs up "No injuries here in the scuffle, and I'm proud to say that other that a knife wound on one of Miss Carmine's daughter they are all safe in their tower!".
Charlie was both relieved and happy about the news "That's great to hear...wait a minute! What do you mean scuffle?".
Gohan realized his mistake as Charlie stared him in the eyes as her body started to shift. Slowly her eyes started getting redder and he horns started poking out of her skin.
Gohan looked nervous as he tried to explain "Um..I ran into a few exterminators while trying to save Carmilla Carmine and her daughter's so I knocked them out and hid inside of their tower till the alarm sounded!".
Both Vaggie and Charlie eyes him angrily as they couldn't believe he had been stupid enough to fight exterminators head on.
"So let me get this straight, you expect us to believe that you fought off multiple angels that are armed with holy weapons. Beat them all in a fight and just walked away without a scratch!?" Vaggie said in disbelief.
Gohan decided it was best to omit the part where Carmilla killed an angel, as according to Lucifer that would have caused massive issues if it got out "Well yeah but I just knocked them out. Not going to lie they were pretty weak.".
Vaggie just rubbed her head in frustration as she couldn't believe what he was telling them. Charlie on the other hand was furious that the angels would stoop so low as to attack a child.
Gohan sensing that the two women were skeptical of his story he moved forward and wrapped them both in a hug "I promise that I'm okay and that I won't run out like that again, but thanks for being concerned about me.".
This seemed to calm Charlie down a bit as she started to shift back into her day to day form, while she and Vaggie sported a matching blush on their face.
"Well I guess the most important thing is that you are okay. Although I want to hear about everything that happened since you left!" Charlie said while looking at him expectantly.
Gohan chuckled as he smiled at her "I guess that's fair.".
Sitting down on the couch Gohan would spend the next couple of minutes explaining the his adventures during the night.
Unbeknownst to him back at the scene of the battle a trio of demon's came across the remains of the mutilated angel.
"Well now, isn't this a surprise!?" A tall demon in a red coat spoke to his two companions.
"Wow someone actually had the balls to take down one of these flying fucks!" The next demon with a television screen for a face spoke giving a kick to the lifeless angel's body.
The last of the group stared at her phone and flicked her manicured hand in annoyance at the two, before she groaned out "So someone finally got tired of the status quo and decided to take one out so what Vox!?".
The Television demon now know as Vox pinched his clawed hand to his screen before groaning at the girl "Don't you see how big this is my dear Velvette!? Just imagine if we could find the one who did this and pull them to our side!".
Velvette gave him a bored look before sneering "Yeah cause you definitely have a great tract recorded of pulling powerful people to our side. Need I remind you of you know who?".
Vox screen flickered before the tall demon stepped in front of his while patting his shoulders soothingly "Now, now my friends, lets not turn on each other so quickly! Velvette it couldn't hurt to figure out who is behind this, and to Vox's credit this time we won't be looking for another partner. No this time enslavement is the game.".
Vox's screen returned to normal as he giggled to him self before straightening his tie "Yes Valentino you are right. I tried playing by the rules and all it got me was a massive headache, plus a missing rival. This time I want whoever did this to be brought underneath our heel, ready to unleash on anyone who crosses us!".
The two men grinned evilly at each other as they began their minds we already envisioning the power they would be gaining from an angle killing servant.
Velvette however was not interested in their half-baked scheme as she realized there was one major flaw with their plan "If you two are done giggling like a couple of cheeky tarts, maybe you should be figuring out how we are supposed to be tracking down this mystery killer!".
Realizing she was right Vox quickly composed himself before clearing his throat "Sorry about that Velvette, you are correct. Luckily I've been spending the last couple of months upgrading almost every street corner here in the city. All I have to do is comb though all of the footage I've gathered from the last day to figure out what happened here.".
Valentino groaned as he wasn't willing to spend hours of the next day combing through footage. After all he had to find more replacements for all the workers he may have lost during the night "You won't be needing my help for this will you Voxy? I have a lot of work I need to take of back at the studio.".
"Oh piss off with your little studio! I'll help Vox with the footage since you would rather entertain your little whores, just don't expect us to call once we find out what we are looking for!" Velvette said clearly not pleased with Valentino whining.
"Last time I checked little girl, I was the same rank as you in this organization!" Valentino said gnashing his teeth at Velvette as she flipped him off unimpressed.
Vox jump between the two as needed the two to get along if he was ever going to get anything done "Calm down you two. Val we can handle this on our own, just take care of your business. And Velvette it will be faster for the two of us to look through the footage since we are both tech savvy.".
"Fine!" Both Valentino and Velvette said at the same time, as the both crossed their arms and turned away from the other.
Vox groaned to himself at the pair's stubbornness, he could tell that his was going to be a very long day.

Alright that's another chapter down. We will officially be on the pilot after this chapter which means that Gohan will be there front and center for the first official day of the Happy Hotel/Hazbin Hotel. I'm sorry I was gone for long but unfortunately I have to focus more of my work so I can be able to even write chapters in the first place. I'll try not to take so long for the next chapter but I make no promises. Also for the people who keep messaging about the power scaling, and saying I hate DBZ. You are free to leave this story now and find another fic to complain about. That being said I do feel like this is one of my weak chapters but I'm okay with since it's going to be what gets me back into the writing mood.
