-Chapter 8: Memories and Snakes-
The inhabitants of the hotel all went to bed anxious of the bombshell that had been placed in their laps. Not only were the exterminations becoming more and more destructive, but now they would only have six months to prepare for the next one to happen.
Once again Gohan, Vaggie, and Charlie sat in their room being unable to sleep. Neither of them knew what to say to break the silence.
Sighing loudly Gohan sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed to sit on the edge of it "Alright I'm just going to come out and say it…..This sucks!".
"I know, how could they just decide this!?" Charlie groaned out burying her face in her pillow as Vaggie softly stroked her back before speaking herself.
"What exactly happened up there to make them decide that?" She asked trying to understand the situation.
"Apparently they are using the fact that I fought that squad of angels to protect the Carmines as an excuse to prove that demons pose an actual threat to them." Gohan said feeling like this was his fault.
Charlie flipped herself over to placate the boy "You can't blame yourself for this Gohan! You should never feel bad for trying to protect someone, you couldn't have possibly known this would happen!".
"That being said, we still have to figure out what we are going to do with only six months to prepare." Vaggie stated seriously.
"We can start thinking of a plan tomorrow Vaggie, I'm exhausted from dealing with Adam, and his first lieutenant." Charlie said leaning into Gohan's side trying to cheer him up "By the way you owe me a story mister!".
Gohan looked at her confusedly "I do?" He asked unsure of what she meant.
Charlie smiled at him before giving his arm a playful shove "Yeah you promised to tell us about yourself remember!?".
Gohan did seem to recall that she had made his promise to tell her about his life "All right fair enough what do you want to know?".
Charlie and Vaggie both took up a spot beside each other as they were eager to hear about the boy's life.
"I want to know everything!" Charlie said almost bouncing in place.
Gohan chuckled as he began to tell them about his past, starting from when his uncle Raditz kidnapped him, the training he underwent when he was with Piccolo, and the eventual showdown that went through with the Saiyan prince Vegeta, and his partner Nappa.
The girls were at a loss for words as they heard him pull up his past events. Gohan had experienced more in his short time alive than most regular humans did throughout a full hundred years of life.
"How could your uncle do that to you!?" Charlie started almost tearing up at Gohan's recollection at what happened to himself "Families are supposed to protect each other, not harm each other!".
Gohan sighed as he knew she was correct but felt it was kind of hard to explain, remembering how Vegeta explained why the Saiyan's followed Frieza in the first place.
"My uncle knew nothing of me when he came to find my father. If he hadn't come to Earth though I wouldn't of even unlocked my power in the first place, and wouldn't have met all of you in the process.
Vaggie was more amazed by the prospect of Alien life as she had only known of a few demon's to claim they were Aliens, but she dismissed them as mentally insane "So all this time Earth hasn't been the only place that souls have been flooding in from?".
"I'm guessing so. This could also explain why Hell is becoming rapidly overpopulated." Gohan said as he never considered the fact that this would explain a lot, in the grand scheme of things.
"Wait since your father is a full blooded Saiyan, and your mother is human that makes you a Half-Saiyan right?" Vaggie questioned trying to get her facts straight.
Gohan nodded as Charlie eyes began sparkling with wonder "So you mean to tell me that we will be officially marrying an alien in the future!?" She locked eyes with Vaggie "We are so lucky!".
Gohan and Vaggie blushed as Charlie was just so candid about that part of her future.
"Let's let him finish the story before we start making wedding plans hun." Vaggie said trying to hide the red on her cheeks. While she didn't fully admit it, she did have a mental flash of a wedding gown go through her head.
"Right! So after your mentor saved your life, and your father came back and beat the other two Saiyans what happened next?" Charlie said ready to listen to the next part of the story.
"Well next we left Earth to find planet Namek to use the Dragon-balls they kept on their planet." Gohan continued as he spent the next twenty minuted explaining the trip to Namek and battles that ensued against the tyrant Frieza.
"This Frieza guy sounds like the worst type of asshole!" Vaggie spoke hating how he just threw lives away so easily. It reminded her of her time in Heaven where the only thing that her superiors cared about was the murder of damned souls every year. She remembered the look at that poor sinner child's face when she let them go, and how because of her mercy she was betrayed by Adam and Lute.
"He killed an entire planet just to get to the Dragon-balls they carried!? How could he be so cruel!?" Charlie said in tears thinking about the suffering they must have went through.
"Not only did he kill everyone on the planet, he also blew it up just to try and kill my dad." Gohan continued frowning "If it wasn't for Mr. Popo making a wish on Earth to revive all the people killed by Frieza, and a Namekian child named Dende using the last wish on the dragon of Namek, we would have all died there.".
Continuing on Gohan finally went through his most recent adventures involving the androids, and his inevitable clash with the bio-android Cell.
"How did go through all that, without going crazy!?" Vaggie yelled out as Charlie wrapped herself around the boy in a tight hug.
"How could your father put you through that at your age!?" Charlie cried into his shoulder.
"Dad could feel the power I had inside trying to come through, so he thought that I was the only one who had the power to beat Cell." Gohan said as he could feel the dampness on his arm from Charlie's tears.
Vaggie frowned at him "The entire fate of the world was at stake and your father threw you out there all on a feeling!?".
Gohan shrugged "I won't pretend that it was his brightest moment, but at the same time it allowed me to push past my limits to reach a new level of power.".
Vaggie stuttered as he said it as nonchalantly as he could "How have you not gone insane by this point!?".
"I just….don't think about it most of the time." Gohan said softly as he sweat-dropped.
Charlie leaned her head of his shoulder and gave him a serious look "Remind me to give him a piece of mind if I ever meet him.".
Gohan's face darkened as she finished speaking "That's not going to be easily done…..he died trying to stop Cell from exploding on the Earth.".
Both Charlie and Vaggie gasped as they heard that "I'm so sorry, I didn't realize." Charlie said bowing her head apologetically.
"Wait but didn't you say that the Dragon-balls could be used to bring people back to life? Why didn't your friends just use them to bring him back to life?" Vaggie said carefully not wanting to upset him any further.
"Dad didn't want to come back." Gohan said sighing "He said that he was attracting to many destructive people to the planet, and decided to stay in Otherworld.".
"Oh…" Vaggie said wanting to shrink because of her question.
Seeing their faces Gohan tried to cheer them up "It's alright you two, I've had some time to accept how things have turned out!".
The two women just stared at the boy in silence as they could tell he was trying to bury his feelings without upsetting them.
Suddenly Charlie's eyes shot wide open as she realized something "Wait Gohan…If the people you and your friends fought were truly evil, then don't you think that somewhere here in the Pride Ring they might have survived the exterminations? Won't you eventually run into them!?".
Gohan was floored by her realization "I honestly didn't think that that was a possibility…".
Slapping her hand to her face Vaggie groaned "No wonder there have been so many cases of disappearing overlords lately!".
"What do you mean Vaggie?" Charlie asked not understanding the implication.
"I've been hearing talk over town for the last few years of overlords disappearing from their territories. I just assumed that it was because of the exterminations, but the time that they started vanishing doesn't match up to the time of year." Vaggie answered not liking what this could mean.
"You two don't think it's because of the people we sent down here?" Gohan asked feeling troubled.
Charlie thought for a moment before answering "It could be a possibility but it's hard to say without things happen around Hell." Smiling she decided to add on "Even if that's the case, we have here you here to protect us right!?".
Gohan smiled gently and nodded as Charlie grabbed his arm and hugged it tightly.
"In any case it's been a really long day and could really use a few hours of sleep." Vaggie said as she yawned and stretched.
The other two agreed as Gohan laid down in the middle of the bed with the other two joining him on either side.
They all closed their eyes as Vaggie rolled into Gohan's side to lay her head on the side of his arm "Don't worry Gohan, we have your back no matter what happens next.".
"Yeah, after all you've been through you can trust us to have your back." Charlie said laying an arm across his chest, as she began to softly snore.
Gohan smiled as the two did their best to comfort him "Thanks girls, I'm really glad to have you both here." Seeing that both girls had finally managed to fall asleep, he finally allowed himself to rest.
-The next morning-
Waking up the next morning, Charlie sat up in bed along with Vaggie. Staring down at their still sleeping partner they both smiled at the boy.
"How about we let him sleep in for a little while sweetie?" Charlie said looking at her girlfriend lovingly.
Vaggie agreed as she began walking towards the shower. After his explanation of his past last night, she fully agreed that if anyone deserved some extra rest it was him.
Both girls shot a flirty look to each other as they both went into the shower together. After all it had been awhile since they have had time to be intimate with each other.
-Across Town at Vox Tower-
Vox was currently sitting in his control room, smiling over the success of his latest product. Grinning to himself he relished over the fact that he was gaining more power and influence, as he took control of the minds of those who consumed his products.
"That's good Television!" He laughed to himself as his energy crackled around him. His cackles were soon interrupted by Velvette contacting him through his personal line.
Sighing to himself he accepted the call as he started into a screen behind him "Ah the lovely Velvette, to what do I owe pleasure today?".
"Cut the shit Vox, I need you up here now!" Velvette seethed taking brief looks behind her.
"Oh whatever could be the problem, my dear?" Vox said taking a sip of his coffee.
Velvette scowled at him as she continued "You little boytoy is wrecking my department while I'm trying to put together a show!" She was cut off by Valentino hurling insults and body parts at her staff "Just get your ass down here now!".
She ended the call as Vox grumbled to himself "Oh god here I go to deal with Valentino, just another fucking day with Val!".
Quickly moving over to an elevator, he traveled up to the public center of his tower where he was ambushed by a swarm of reporters eager to get his take on the recent extermination news.
" what is your take on the new extermination deadline!?" A female reporter asked shoving a microphone into his face.
Smiling Vox put on his most business forward face and replied "My dear people we at Vox Tech Enterprises, have always been at the forefront of innovation. Now with this new oncoming threat we are shifting our focus to your protection. We are proud to announce that Vox Tech Angelic Security is now coming soon! Trust us with our safety!".
As he finished his announcement he used to his power temporarily hypnotize the audience of reports before walking off.
"Sir when did we begin development of Angelic security?" A secretary demon asked as he caught up to Vox.
"Thirty seconds ago, now get that bitch Carmilla on the books, and cancel all my appointments today. I have a fire to put out upstairs." Vox ground out clearly unhappy at what his day was turning into, as he turned into electricity and zipped all the way to Velvette's penthouse.
As he teleported in front of Velvette he put on a fake smile as he called out to her "Oh Velvette, I can see that you are busy. Tell me where is our hotheaded friend now?".
Velvette spun around rather annoyed "Up in his tower waiting for a flat-faced prince to calm him down!".
"And what's got him so pissed off now?" Vox asked wanting to know what he was running face first into.
Velvette shrugged as tried to straighten her workspace back up "How the fuck should I know!? By the way Vox, when are we going to follow up on the Carmine's knight in shining fucking armor?".
Vox grinned as he was hoping she would be ready to talk about that "Soon my dear, after I calm Valentino down we can all have a discussion on what we are going to do about the situation. You sure you have things taken care of down here?".
"Of course I do fuck you, now go take care of the piss-baby!" Velvette said flipping him off and returning to the social media world through her phone.
Vox chuckled as he walked away to calm his on again, off again lover.
(The majority of the conversation continues the same way it did with the show.)
-Back at the Hotel-
Gohan was enjoying the amount of sleep he was getting and was currently dreaming of being at a long table stacked high will all his favorite foods. Rice, chicken, beef, and all the vegetables he could ever want were his for the taking.
Suddenly a large boom from the entrance of the hotel shook him awake, and caused him to fall flat on his face to the ground.
"What in the world is going on!?" He shouted out as he noticed that Charlie, and Vaggie were not in the room with him. Quickly running over to the wardrobe he grabbed his clothing and quickly put them on before running outside as quick as he can.
Spotting everyone standing in a small crowd outside he quickly ran up in a defensive stance "Alright someone wanna tell me what's happening!?".
Angel Dust was the first to respond as he pointed up into the sky "Looks like the Edgelord came back for round two, and this time he's going straight for Alastor!".
Gohan looked over to see Alastor once again summoning the same tentacles from last time as he laughed hysterically "There's no need to fear young Gohan, why I can handle this nobody with both arms tied behind my back!".
The tentacles began shredding the airship once again as Sir Pentious's screams were heard calling for surrender.
"Um..Alastor I think he has had enough!" Charlie said disturbed by the amount of Joy her business partner was taking out of hurting the sinner.
Angel Dust jokingly added on "Nah hes got a few more hit in em.".
As if right on Cue, Sir Pentious dropped out of the airship and landed right in front of the group in a crumpled heap.
"Thanks for another forgettable experience!" Alastor laughed while twirling his cane around.
Sir Pentious raised a single claw up before weakly saying "Thank you…..for letting your guard down!" as he used his tail to rip a portion of Alastor's dress coat away.
He soon realized this was a mistake as both Gohan, and Alastor stared at the snake with a disproving expression as Alastor began to change into his demonic form. Gohan moved beside Alastor before raising his hands above his head in a familiar stance, confusing the others around him.
"Masenko!" He called out and released a burst of yellow Ki, just as Alastor blasted him with his own demonic power. The combined attack sent his sailing through the sky deep into the city.
Dusting his hands off Gohan turned around just to be stared out by the entire group minus Alastor who was looking at him with an interested look.
"What….was that Gohan!?" Charlie gasped surprised at the amount of power that Gohan had just unleashed.
Angel Dust also commented, as he didn't believe what he had just seen "How in the fuck did you just do that!".
Gohan chuckled in an embarrassed way as he began rubbing the back of his head "I guess I haven't shown much of my power since I've been here have I?".
Alastor however just smiled as he walked over to place a hand upon Gohan's shoulder "Well I for one am impressed with your abilities my boy! While I could have handled that two bit overlord myself I do appreciate the sentiment.".
"Well you know, just doing my job." Gohan said just happy that he could be of help.
"That is most appreciative my boy, keep up the good work like that and this place with an impenetrable fortress of improvised redemption!" Alastor said before noticing his ripped coat "Well if you will all excuse me it seems I have meeting with my tailor, best of luck chums!".
Vaggie ran out to stop him "Alastor wait you can't just leave, we need you to do your job!".
Angel Dust also piped in staring at the missing chunk in the hotel "We also need a wall.".
Alastor turned and laughed in amusement "Quite right, can't have my new project fall into disrepair already! What would the paper's think!?".
Snapping his fingers he summoned a few shadow demons up from the ground. They quickly began to repair the damage as angel began to flirt with the buffest one there.
Charlie quickly moved over to Gohan as she began to apologize "I am so sorry that woke you up Gohan! Vaggie, and I were trying to let you sleep in after the last few days you had.".
"It's alright Charlie, I mean it's my job to make sure you are safe and protected. Not to mention that the marriage plan in the future." Gohan said smiling warmly at Charlie.
"Wait what!" Angel Dust yelled out as he heard what Gohan had said "You mean you two bitches decided to marry the kid, when I had to feel bad for hitting on him!?".
"We decided nothing, it was Lucifer who contracted him to marry Charlie!" Vaggie said not appreciating the tone Angel was giving them.
Angel just scrunched up his face as he heard that "You mean to tell me that Mister Lightshow right here somehow made a deal with the head honcho himself to get into both your pants?".
"Actually it was the other way around. Lucifer came to find me to protect his daughter." Gohan said hoping to clear things up.
"And no he hasn't gotten into our pants you freak!" Vaggie added while crossing her arms.
Angel still wasn't understanding the angle for choosing Gohan "Out of the thousands of demons he could have picked down here in Hell, why did he just randomly choose a kid?".
The question caused Charlie, Vaggie, and Gohan to all look around with uneasy looks.
"Why are yous all looking like that!? Is there anything else I don't know?" Angel said eyeing them suspiciously.
Charlie poked her fingers together as she replied "Gohan…doesn't exactly belong down here in Hell.".
"What you mean like he's an angel, then why does he have those horns and that tail?" Angel said still not understanding.
"Definitely not an angel." Vaggie said blankly trying not to be the one to say it.
Angel got fed up with their beating around the bush "Then what the fuck is he, will one of you just say it!?".
"I'm still alive Angel!" Gohan finally said as a camera zoomed in on him from a nearby street light.
Gohan spent the next few minutes explaining his story to Angel Dust as the camera focused it's lens on the boy.
-Vox Tower-
Shortly after Vox had managed to calm down Valentino, he learned that his old nemesis the Radio Demon Alastor was taking up residence with Lucifer's daughter at her hotel.
He had called a meeting between the other two V's to get on top of the situation and also reveal some pressing new information to Velvet.
"We have a problem. Alastor has been spotted chumming it up with Lucifer's little princess Morningstar, at that ratty hotel. One of our main concern's right now is to make sure that no kind of deal is made between that little brat and that smiling freak!" Vox declared as he slammed his fist on the table.
"And how do you suppose we do that?" Velvette asked swiping through her phone as Valentino bedazzled his favorite gun.
"Put something inside them, that's how I get the bitches to behave!" Valentino grinned widely.
Vox thought for a minute before coming to a conclusion "Maybe getting someone on the inside wouldn't be a bad idea. You think you could get Angel to do it?".
Valentino scoffed "That lanky prick won't even return my calls!".
"We need someone who the princess would accept with open arms." Vox spoke pacing around the room.
"Someone pathetic, desperate, with no direct ties to us." Velvette said catching on to Vox's wavelength.
Valentino shrugged "I employ every down on their luck loser this side of Hell, who the fuck is left!?".
Vox smiled as his eye started twitching "I think I have just the one!".
Just as he thought of the perfect person in mind an alarm went off on his phone and he quickly pulled it out to check it.
"Problem out on the streets Voxxie?" Velvette asked still staring at her own phone.
Vox smiled as he pulled out a big screen from the middle of the table "Quite the opposite my dear, take a look who I found!".
As the screen flickered on Velvette immediately noticed the figure of the boy they were just talking about earlier "If it isn't our mystery boy that we've been looking for!" Velvette smiled as she leaned forward in her seat.
Valentino looked at the other two with an annoyed look "Are you two looking for another group member to replace the radio demon!?" Looking down at the screen he noticed Angel Dust talking to the boy directly "Why is that little twink chatting so candidly with him, he's supposed to be out there making me money!?".
Vox pulled a hand up as he tried to calm his associate "Not quite Val, Velvette, and I might have just found someone who could tip the scales between the exterminator's and the sinners.".
Velvette flashed a sneer over to the moth demon "Yeah Vox, and I have been working our asses off to find out about this guy, while you have been crying over your little lost whore!".
Ignoring the comment from his fellow overlord Val moved himself closer to the screen "Why the fuck can't I hear what they are saying!?".
Vox groaned as he tried to adjust the settings "It seems that the idiot I had in mind, damaged the audio ports when he tried to attack, Alastor. Therefore I think this guy owes us his assistance as reparation.".
The three smiled as they knew that Vox was the best at manipulating people. They knew that soon they would have all the information they needed to proceed with their plans.
-Back at the Hotel-
Gohan has just finished his explanation of the events that led him to Hell, and in the engagement of Charlie.
"So you just expect me to believe that you are some kind of powerful half-alien that saved Earth, and now Lucifer owns your soul, and he wants to marry his daughter who is two hundred years old, to a thirteen year old boy?" Angel said squinting his eyes at the three,
"Yep!" Vaggie said simply.
"You got it!" Chirped Charlie with a smile.
"Sounds crazy I know." Gohan spoke with a shrug.
"You bitches must think I was born yesterday!" Angel laughed as he clutched his stomach.
Gohan just sighed "I mean you can laugh if you want, but it's true.".
Angel Dust stood up from behind doubled over and said "If that was the case, the how come aliens never visited Earth while I was alive!?.
Gohan thought for a moment "To be fair there was only one alien that anyone would have known at the time and he didn't show himself to normal people.".
Angel didn't know how to respond to that "You being serious?".
Gohan nodded looking him dead in the eyes "I don't make a habit of lying."
The color almost drained from Angel's face "So those power's you used weren't being a sinner demon!?".
"As I told you before I'm not even dead, the horns are from my deal with Lucifer, and I still don't know how my tail grew back." Gohan said raising his shirt and showing Angel the mark from Lucifer's deal.
Being faced with the evidence of Gohan's claims Angel grabbed his head "Holy shit! I'm gonna need a few hours to process this shit!".
The spider demon retreated inside the hotel as the trio was left alone.
"Do you think he will be okay?" Charlie asked hoping that Angel wasn't too freaked out by the information.
Vaggie just groaned "He'll be fine, it's not like he wasn't going to find out later.".
Gohan had to agree as he finally decided to ask the two "So what's our mission for today?".
Charlie smiled as she placed her hands on his shoulders "Well me and Vaggie are going to walk around town and try to find some new tenants for the hotel, and we want you to stay here for today and take it easy!".
"Aren't I supposed to stay with you to make sure you aren't in harms way?" Gohan asked confused why she wanted him to stay behind.
"We just thought that since, you've been running yourself ragged trying to make sure Charlie stays safe, that you could use some relaxation time to recharge yourself." Vaggie said warmly.
"I don't know girls, what if someone attacks you while you are out around town?" Gohan said not sure if they would be safe.
Charlie grinned as she hugged Vaggie's side "That's alright Gohan, I'll have my original ass kicker by my side the whole time!".
Vaggie held up her spear to emphasize her point before the two grinned at each other.
"All right you two just be safe okay." Gohan said as Charlie suddenly remembered.
"Crap I almost forgot!" Digging into her pants pocket, Charlie pulled out a device and handed it to the boy "Since you are so worried about our safety, I present to you your very own HellPhone!".
Gohan was surprised as he wasn't expecting Charlie to get him anything like this "Thank you!..But I don't know how to use one of these.".
Charlie and Vaggie looked at him with surprise.
"What were you raised in the mountains?" Vaggie said without thinking.
"Yes…" Gohan answered giving her a blank look.
Vaggie winced as she had remembered that he had just told them that the night before, and now she felt like an idiot for even saying it.
Charlie however just warmly spent the next few minutes showing him the basics of it.
After his tutorial was over they hugged each other good bye and he watched the girls walk down the street to complete their objective.
As they finally vanished from view, Gohan turned and walked inside the hotel before plopping down on the couch.
As he sat alone in silence playing with the different functions of his phone, he felt a small weight drop down beside him.
Looking up he was met by the smiling face of Nifty, who stared at him intently.
"Hi Nifty...Can I help you?" The boy asked wishing she would move back slightly.
Nifty just grinned as she stared at him "Hi bad boy whatcha up to?".
"Well Charlie, and Vaggie are looking for more tenants for the hotel, and Alastor went to go get his coat fixed. They wanted me to just sit at the Hotel and relax for today." Gohan said simply as Nifty just sat beside him.
"That means I have you all to myself!" The girl screeched as she grabbed onto his arm.
She was stopped as water bottle was thrown at her head knocking her back slightly. Looking over Gohan spotted Husk, as he just stared at Nifty with an expectant look.
"The boy just said they wanted him to relax for today, that doesn't mean you can sink your claws into him!" Husk growled out as he want back to cleaning the mugs at the bar.
The cyclops girl groaned as she began to walk away sadly.
It made Gohan kind of sad to see the dejected look in her eye, he stopped her after a few seconds "Wait Nifty…as long as you just sit beside me, I don't mind if you just want to hang out.".
Giggling with glee the girl quickly ran back to the couch and sat politely beside him.
Husk was surprised that someone was willing to allow her presence "You sure you wanna do that kid? Nifty really isn't know for just sitting when it comes to people she likes." He asked not wanting to see the boy get mauled by the small girl.
Gohan smiled before thanking the cat "I'm sure Husk, thanks for the help though!".
"Don't mention it kid, just don't let her get her hand down your pants." The cat smirked before chugging a bottle of beer.
Gohan gulped as he stared back at the girl who was smiling evilly at him.
Silently Gohan began to pray to Lucifer, to protect him from being violated from the small demon.
-Lucifer's Office-
Lucifer was working on some new duck toys in his office before he dropped his screwdriver and clutched his head.
"Is something wrong sir!?" Higgins exclaimed, moving to his masters side in worry.
Lucifer waved him away before looking around himself "Somehow….Somewhere I feel as if my son-in-law is trying to stop a small shortstack from molesting him…..And the shortstack is winning!".
-A few hours later back at the hotel-
Charlie and Vaggie had finally made their way back to the hotel, exhausted from looking for new tenants to no avail.
As they walked through the door they were met with the surprising site of Gohan trying to fend off a feral Nifty.
"What in the fuck is going on here!?" Vaggie yelled out as she tried to pull Nifty of the boy.
Husk laughed as he watched the spectacle "I tried to warn him that giving Nifty an inch was a bad idea!".
Charlie groaned as she collapsed down onto the couch as Angel Dust came down the stairs "So how did it go?" He called as he descended the stairs.
Vaggie had finally managed to pry Nifty off of Gohan, as she threw the girl to the side and answered "Not one person out there was interested at giving redemption a try.".
"Yeah well who would want to spend their last days not fucking and fighting?" Angel Dust dryly said as he plopped down into a chair.
Gohan rose to his feet, happy that Vaggie was the one that came to his rescue "I'm sure we will eventually get someone who wants to change their ways.".
"I wouldn't count on it super boy." Angel Said as they all shot him a disapproving look.
Vaggie was about to tell him off when a knock came from the front door.
Walking over to answer it, Gohan opened the door to a face he had just seen hours before.
"Why hello my good sir!" Came the voice of Sir Pentious before he received a punch to the face from Gohan.
"We already beat you once today snake-man. How many times are we going to have to teach you this lesson." Gohan said ready to punch Sir Pentious again.
Said overlord dropped to the ground in fear as he waved his arms in front of him "Wait, wait, wait I come in peace!".
Vaggie moved to Gohan's side as she stared down at the demon, before drawing her spear "What are you doing here!?".
"Vaggie, Gohan what's the problem!?" Charlie said poking her head from around the door before seeing Sir Pentious on the ground "Oh hello again!".
Pulling himself up Sir Pentious began to explain his case "I didn't come her looking for a fight! Why I heard that you are helping people here! People that want to be better?".
Charlie's eyes lit up as she grabbed the overlord's hands and began to walk him into the hotel "You head right! Welcome to our home of healing, our resort of restoration, our…".
She was cut off by Angel Dust looking angrily at her "Are you fucking nuts!? He was just trying to kill us a few hours ago, and now you want to invite him to live with us!?".
"Absolutely, after all this place is made for second chances, and deserves one more than this….slithery, slippery...special little man!?" Charlie happily spoke as Sir Pentious nodded eagerly beside her.
Angel Dust looked at Gohan, and Vaggie accusingly "Aren't you two supposed to protect this place?".
Charlie shot them both an adorable puppy dog pout, causing the two to sigh.
"I guess he's not much of a threat without his war machine." Vaggie said as Sir Pentious perked up behind her "Or even with the war machine.".
The snake overlord deflated at that as Gohan had to agree "Plus if he slithers out of line again, we can just sent him flying through the town again.".
"OH THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!" Charlie screamed triumphantly before hugging both Gohan and Vaggie together "Sir Pentious, welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!".
Sir Pentious smiled as he followed behind her "Oh no darling, thank you! You won't regret this!".
Angel Dust frowned at him before following behind them "I give you a week...tops!".
Charlie began to give Sir Pentious a mini-tour around the hotel before being stopped by Vaggie.
"Babe you don't need to show him everything here." She said smiling at her girlfriend.
Charlie apologized as she hopped in place "Sorry, I'm just so excited to have our first real guest!".
Angel Dust quickly took offense as he heard what Charlie said "What the fuck am I then!?".
"Well Angel, you are an important part of our family, but you…." Charlie started before being finished by Vaggie "Constantly make us look bad, Sexually harass the staff, and have still since day one not tried to improve in any way.".
"What she's trying to say is that it's just nice to have someone who is interested for once." Charlie said trying to soothe the tension. She didn't notice however the sad look on Angel's face at her comment.
Charlie continued showing Sir Pentious around "Over here we have our maid, Nifty!". At the mention of her name the girl jumped onto his chest and stared him in the eye "The bad boy is back! Never leave me again!".
Even though Gohan was happy that it was someone else for a change, he was still hoping that she didn't terrify Sir Pentious too horribly.
"We are about eighty percent sure she is harmless." Charlie continued before taking notice of Alastor coming down the stairs "Over here we have Alastor our gracious facility manager, You've met Sir Pentious our newest guest!".
Alastor eyed him before grinning widely "Ah yes, you are the one who ruined my coat. I definitely remember you now!".
"Well, I guess this is a great time for you first lesson, how to apologize! The first step to becoming a better person is to admit when you are wrong! Why don't you give it a try?" Charlie instructed as she pushed Sir Pentious in front of Alastor.
Sir Pentious smiled nervously as he prepared to talk to his one-sided nemesis "Yes, Mister Radio Demon sir, please forgive me for attacking you and ruining your very lovely coat! Um...here you go!" he finished as he handed the discarded piece of fabric he had ripped from the demon.
Alastor took the piece within his claws before laughing "Ah, not many demons have managed to take even this much from me! It must have meant a lot to you?" her smirked before setting the fabric on fire in the palm of his hand.
The next few hours consisted of Charlie trying to get Angel and Sir Pentious to perform happy exorcises to get the redemption ball rolling. She felt that if they started speaking on the kind of stuff they enjoyed, they would be more likely to open up to getting more help.
While it seemed that Sir Pentious was enjoying the bonding with the group, Angel Dust pushed back as he retreated to his room.
Outside of his room Angel could hear the others preparing for bed as he just laid across his bed, listening to his voice mails from Valentino.
Message after message passed as he heard Valentino beg for him to come back, soon to be followed up by rapid insults about how he will never be free of him. Clicking through the messages rapidly Angel could just hear Valentino's voice all around him.
Shaking his head Angel Dust noticed Fat Nuggets trying to cheer him up only to be brushed aside gently "Not now fat nuggets, I'm not in the mood.".
Leaving his room he noticed Husk wasn't at his regular spot at the bar. Moving quickly he grabbed a large bottle of beer and began to chug it sadly.
As he was doing so he noticed a blur pass by him quickly before moving into one of the offices in the nearby hallway.
Peeking inside the room he found Sir Pentious setting up one of Vox's spy cams right on the shelf.
"You slippery little shit, you working for the V's!?" Angel yelled at the now scared demon "I knew that there was something shitty about you!".
Sir Pentious tried to straighten his posture as to look more intimidating before growling at Angel "I don't know what you are talking about….whore-bug!".
Yelling in anger, Angel Dust launched himself at the snake as he began punching and kicking him before pressing him down with his body.
"Get your aggressively average body off of me!" Sir Pentious shouted before rolling over and using his power to disorientate Angel's vision.
The spider demon let him go as he shook his head free of the waves he was now seeing. The two stared each other down as suddenly from the hallway Gohan, Charlie, and Vaggie ran in.
"What's going on?" Charlie yawned as she tried to figure out the issue.
Angel grabbed Sir Pentious's arm and thrust him forward "This little bitch is a fucking traitor!".
Sir Pentious tried to look as innocent as possible while he appealed to Charlie's helpful nature "I would never betray you, because after all you are my best friends!" He spoke with fake tears as he hugged the group in front of him.
Gohan quickly pushed him back as he walked over to where Angel was standing. Grabbing the camera from the bookcase he held it up to the group and frowned "I'm guessing this isn't one of yours!?".
Realizing he had been caught Sir Pentious began frantically running around the room to escape the group "Ah ah ABORT, ABORT! Agent Pentious in need of immediate evacuation!" he screamed out to his wrist communicator as the face of Vox appeared.
"Pentious...what you were caught!? It hasn't even been a single day!" Vox almost screamed at Pentious.
"Please you have to get me out of here!" Sir Pentious panicked as the other just stared at him.
Vox angrily spat at how pathetic he was sounding "I can't believe we thought you could do something even this simple! You know what do us a favor, if they don't kill you go ahead and do it yourself you miserable failure!".
The call disconnected as Sir Pentious was left sobbing at his own failure, before dropping to the ground in front of the others "I guess just make it quick….not that I deserve it.".
"This is kinda sad." Gohan stated still holding onto the camera as Vaggie raised her spear up to finish the defeated demon.
"Wait Vaggie!" She stopped the bloodthirsty girl before reaching out a hand "Sir Pentious I know that you were trying to leak our information to the V's, but maybe this is your chance to really redeem yourself.".
Sir Pentious looked up at her with hopeful eyes as the girl was willing to give him another chance "Really? Do you really mean that I can still be apart of this with all of you!?".
Charlie looked to the others getting a disgusted look from Angel, a thumbs up from Gohan, and a shrug from Vaggie.
"I mean Charlie did say this was the place for second chances, and it's not like they have any more use for him now that he's caught." Gohan said trying to sway the others two's opinion.
Gohan was suddenly wrapped into a tight hug from the crying snake demon, as Charlie just giggled at his antics.
Vaggie sighed as she knew that no matter what her opinion was on him, the other two would make her see reason in the end "Alright fine, but the next time he tries anything like this I'll skewer him head to tail.".
Charlie smiled and hugged Vaggie happy that her partners were standing by her side.
This left Angel Dust who was standing to the side frowning "Alright fine, but don't expect me to like it!".
Feeling like the day was a success the group all walked back to their rooms as the office was left in darkness.
Alastor who had been hiding in the darkness suddenly entered the room before picking up the discarded communicator on the ground.
Using his magic he turned on the device and was greeted by the angry face of Vox "What!?" he shouted before he realized he was face to face with Alastor.
"You'll have to try harder than that next time old pal!" Alastor cackled before clutching the device tightly leaving it a crumbled heap on the floor.
The last sounds that could be heard were Vox's screams of anger dying alongside the machine.
-Vox's Tower-
"What the fuck was that!?" Velvette screamed out as Vox's outrage caused a power overload in the tower.
"That my dear Velvette, was our old pal Alastor fucking with us once again!" Vox belted out as his screen flickered from his anger.
"I told you he was there, alongside your new little fixation, and my favorite whore!" Valentino said crossing his arms sassily over his chest.
Velvette slammed her hand down on the table in frustration "How the fuck are we supposed to get any information now that the snake freak failed!?".
Vox continued flickering before he stabilized himself and realized that the camera had still been filming. Chuckling to himself he rewound the footage right up to the point where Gohan had picked it up and they were given a close up view of their target.
"Say Velvette….How good are you at seducing people?" Vox called out to the girl, knowing exactly what to say to appeal to her vanity.
"You know damn well, I'm the sexiest piece of ass this side of the Pride Ring!" Velvette yelled as Valentino frowned "So you claim.".
His comment was met by a phone being thrown at his face, smacking him directly in the eyes.
The two partner's eyes each other angrily before Vox stood between them "Now, now you two let's save our anger for the people that deserve it. Velvette I think it's time for some ground work don't you think?".
Realizing what he was saying she looked at the target with sadistic glee, already thinking of ten different way to put the charm on him.
"Trust me Voxxie, when I'm done with him he won't even remember who little Charlotte Morningstar even is!" Velvette laughed as she left to group to prepare.
"I still don't see why I couldn't be the one to bring him in!?" Valentino spoke with boredom as Vox wrapped his arms around his shoulders.
"Patience my dear Val! Once Velvette gets her hooks in him, I'm going to need plenty of your love potion to keep him under her power!" Vox spoke gently.
Valentino raised and eyebrow at him "I thought little Miss Priss would have been enough to bring in one guy.".
"It never hurts to have a back up plan Val, and if this guy is as powerful as I think he is, then we are going to need every advantage we can pull." Vox said before staring long and hard at the image of Gohan on the screen "Soon all that strength will be all ours to use as we see fit!".
Throughout the tower the only sounds that could be heard was Vox's cackles sounding out through the night.

Glad to get another chapter out before I begin my new job! The next update will probably be this coming weekend with the latest being next Friday.
I will clarify that's I know that in the show it's been weeks since the Extermination while in the story it's only been a few days. There will eventually be a time to skip ahead of time but I would like to get some parts of the story out there because it wouldn't make since to have Gohan there without addressing a few things first. Luckily for those who were excited for this, the Overlord meeting is next chapter as well as the meeting between Gohan and the backbone of the V's herself. As well as his reunion with Carmilla Carmine and her daughter's. I have been waiting to get to this chapter and might make it a little longer as to fit more engagement between all the overlords and Gohan.
The Dbz villains will making an appearance soon so don't worry!
Since this question has come up, why doesn't Gohan just annihilate anyone that causes him trouble. Why would one of the kindest characters in DragonballZ just choose to murder anyone that slightly inconveniences him. It doesn't matter how much power he has, Gohan would never choose to just flat out eliminate someone over befriending him. I feel like anyone trying to pose that question has never truly watched Dbz to even know Gohan's character. I might get some information wrong about him from time to time but at least I will go and fact check myself if someone calls it out.
Also to the people freaking out about lemon's there will not be lemon's every other chapter of this story. For one I'm not comfortable writing them so I would have to ask someone to write it for me. I would credit them of course, but this isn't going to be a have sex just to have sex kind of story. I'm sorry if that's what you were hoping for but that just how it is.
