POKEMON RE:DUX CHAPTER 16 IS HERE AND WE ARE BACK. First of all I just wanna say HAPPY NEW YEARS! (Imsosorryimisseditmyfaultyall:/)
I want to apologize for the late upload and inconsistent schedule. As much as I love writing this story and sharing it with you all, SCHOOL SUCKS and I hope you can understand and forgive me for the delay. Secondly, I have to admit that this chapter is a bit of a filler chapter. I know it may not be as action-packed or exciting as some of the previous chapters, but I felt it was necessary to include in order to set the stage for future events. Sometimes, a story needs a bit of a breather to allow for important plot points to develop, and I gotta get back into the swing of writing anyways.
That being said, I hope you can still find enjoyment in this chapter and appreciate the nuances and character development that are present. As always, I welcome your feedback and constructive criticism.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. I promise to do my best to stick to a more consistent schedule in the future.
P.S. - RIP Ash Ketchum the goat, you carried my childhood and it's sad to see you off but this opens up a new chapter for Pokemon in general so WOOOOO!
2027 - Unova, Star City District 6
Kion rushed through the city to get to the sixth district, where Saabrina Kourada resided.
He rushed into her apartment urgently, slamming her door inwards as he rushed in to find Saabrina sitting peacefully on her couch sipping on some sort of drink; as if she had been waiting for him.
"Talk. Now." Kion said, looking irritated as the message she had sent him had been an urgent call to her apartment to meet up.
"I just wanted to call you and ask to hang out. There's nothing bad about that, cool off…" She said with a sly grin.
Kion narrowed his eyebrows at her.
"You texted me saying, 'My location has been compromised, Asther found me and I need backup ASAP!'" He affirmed.
"Okay, and?" Saabrina questioned.
"First of all, nobody f*cking talks like that." Kion said.
Saabrina opened her mouth to make a comeback but Kion held his finger up to silence her.
"Second of all, you can't joke around like that just to get me to come and waste my time sitting around here with you." Kion added.
"What, we can't go out as friends? Plus, I knew if I'd asked you through text you'd say something smart and refuse to go. Or worse, leave me on read." Saabrina questioned.
Kion rolled his eyes.
"Knowing your Kouradas, there's always an ulterior motive." He said.
Bri smiled, holding up her tablet.
"I looked into paldea, and there seems to be a special phenomenon that happens naturally in their region. Like Z moves and Mega Evolution." Saabrina explained.
"Any clue what it is?" Kion asked.
"No, but we can find out more about it. And that's what we're gonna do today!" Bri said with a smile.
Kion furrowed his brow and Khan smiled nefariously behind him.
"We're going on a little trip to the museum! Here's the plan. I need to find out more info on paldea but there clearly isn't anything on the net. There is a museum with all of Unova's archives so that's the spot we have to sneak into. I need you to get in, get that info, and get out." She explained.
Kion sighed.
Saabrina frowned with a look of concern.
"Do you have some sort of history with Paldea? Every time the region is mentioned your face gsts strained like you're uncomfortable. We're friends, Kiki, you can tell me if something's up." Saabrina said.
Kion tensed up.
"It's not Paldea I'm concerned about. It's that man." Kion croaked out.
"What man? Saabrina questioned.
"Kion sighed.
"Just… Don't worry about it. All you need to know is that if Team Plasma and Paldea are both involved with this, that means a certain man has to be. And this just got a lot more personal." Kion said.
Saabrina also sighed and stood up, grabbing her purse and putting on her big red hoodie that was hanging on the doorknob.
Kion had rushed in so panicked that he hadn't realized Saabrina's attire.
She looked much less professional, having her hair in two pigtails and wearing a black tank top with shorts and the same type of sneakers that Kyu would wear.
"Na'Na, we're going out!" Saabrina shouted into the next room.
Seconds later, Na'na came frantically running out of the room zipping up a small bag that she carried with her.
"Are we ready now?" Kion asked.
"Yessir!" Saabrina replied, jokingly saluting.
Kion rolled his eyes, and they left Saabrina's apartment with a destination of a certain museum.
"By the way, we're not friends, we're acquaintances at best." Kion said.
Saabrina whacked him in the head.
"The hell'd you just say?!"
2027, Sinnoh, Oracle Village
Back at the village, Retsuko walked out of their makeshift pokemon center after going in to exchange his Galvantula Zwe for Kaz due to the 6 Pokemon limit rule.
He and Kuu left the building and snuck behind the temple to the cliffside where Kyu and Daffodil had smoked together the night before.
Retsuko had needed to find a place where he could rest alone with his thoughts away from the world and that place in Star City had been above his apartment, but he'd needed to find a substitute for his time at the temple.
He'd found an area next to the cliff with some trees and a small shrine, and after making his way there, he climbed into his makeshift hammock that had set up the night before.
Kuu climbed in with him, curling up comfortably as Retsuko laid with him, using his body as a sort of pillow.
Popping in his earbuds, Retsuko opened up Spinda-fy, and tried to play a song in his playlist.
"Night is Faint by Eva." The song title read.
Right as he tried to press the song to start it, an error notification rang in his phone, alerting him about the lack of wifi and the inability to play the song.
Groaning, Retsuko turned over in his hammock.
"Right, no wifi in a damn mountain. Ugh, where's Zwe when you need him…" Retsuko noted regretfully.
He went into his phone settings where he kept a backup of all of his songs downloaded to his storage and opened up the audio file, ready to play it.
Right as the song started and he began to fade away into his music, holding his arm over his eyes and his other to the side as he drifted off like he normally did, he was interrupted by a loud greeting from Kyu.
"I found him! Yo!" Kyu energetically said.
Retsuko tilted his head backwards, moving his hands into position in preparation to hoist himself up, but was interrupted by the sight of Via with Kaz and Vye behind her.
"Oh?" He questioned. "Sup." Retsuko greeted, recognizing his friend and yawning slightly.
Kuu flipped over to face their friends, waking up.
"You seem to be adjusting to mountain life just fine." Retsuko said in exhaustion.
"It's nowhere near as bad as when we had to camp up in mount Lanakila! And that's thanks to these hot springs!" Kyu said, holding up his towel.
Retsuko had skimmed over the details but he then realized that Kyu was wearing nothing but some shower trunks and a bucket hat, with his Greninja shirt in his hands.
"I'm guessing you just came back from there?" Retsuko asked sarcastically.
"Sure did!" Kyu replied.
Kyu had a very skinny and fragile build, not having much body mass in comparison to Retsuko, who was well built and pretty athletic naturally.
Via looked around at the area they were in.
"I kinda figured you'd be somewhere like here." She said.
"Were you at the springs with Kyu?" Retsuko asked, finally working up the energy to sit up.
Via smiled. " Nope actually. We wanted to know if you wanted to come with us?" Via asked cheerfully.
Retsuko paused awkwardly, while Kuu chirped in approval.
Retsuko looked to Kuu and back to Via hastily.
He put his hand behind his head.
"I don't... Really have a swimsuit." Retsuko nervously said.
Via looked away as if she'd remembered something, semi-embarrassed.
"Oh yeah, M-Me neither..." She thought to herself.
"Well what about the one that you used back in alola?" Via questioned. "Y'know, for Mantine surfing and just plain swimming." She added.
Retsuko chuckled. "Vee, I was 12 at the time. I'm 15 now. I used to be shorter than you somehow, remember?" he jokingly said.
"Besides, I used to borrow one from Kyu." Retsuko explained, Kyu shrugging in agreement.
"Oh…" Via said in disappointment and frustration, stumbling over her words due to her slight lisp.
"Bro, I'm hungry as sh!t. Yall wanna grab something to eat before we do anything else today?" Kyu changed the subject, patting his stomach.
"Yeah, let's." Via agreed.
Retsuko groaned and forced himself to get up, following them out of the cliff area.
Via and Kyu started another conversation but Retsuko was absent, regressing back to his earbuds that he shared with Kuu as he once again faded into his music.
"Coffee is the best!" Kyu exclaimed.
"Don't listen to him Retsu!" Via said, reappearing behind Retsuko and swinging her arms around him, to which Retsuko's level of discomfort skyrocketed.
Kyu's expression soured. "Imagine thinking that tea is better than hot Coffee..." he mumbled.
Retsuko sighed and looked down. He noticed that Via was still hugging him very tightly.
And it still felt so off to him.
Retsuko gulped. "Uhh... Via?" he asked.
His voice was a bit shaky.
"You're way too close." he managed to squeak out with a serious tone.
Via glanced at Retsuko, acknowledging the fact that he was noticeably uncomfortable. She also noticed that her body was pressing up against his.
Her face turned just as red as a tomato berry, as she backed off and scooched away from him.
"Speaking of 'close', that exhibition match was super close, wasn't it?" Via began, desperately wanting to change the subject, and what better than the memory of their first Pokemon league?
"Yeah I guess. I don't know, being back in vertess city in that environment felt so nostalgic. …For all the wrong reasons." Retsuko said.
"I'm not too sure, it just reminded me of the Alola League." Kyu added.
...Which he lost.
Retsuko smiled as he remembered the intense fight he had witnessed in the Alola league.
His friend Leinani had to defeat a mysterious man in order to win her spot in the Monalo conference Semifinals and win the Alola league. The only issue with that was that that man had somehow caught himself at least 3 mythical pokemon, with his non-mythical pokemon being Latias, Rillaboom, and Marshadow.
Leinani fought until the end and won, thanks to another Marshadow that her younger brother befriended.
Retsuko and Kyu had both fought and lost to the man in the Alola league prelims but Retsuko had viewed it as a learning experience and was happy they did.
Kyu smiled, as they reached the temple entrance.
"We sure have been through a lot in the past 4 years," he said.
"Yeah it has been quite an experience," Via said happily.
"Yeah, it ha- *Awk* Retsuko began but was interrupted mid sentence as he
accidentally bumped into a young boy, who was carrying a large stack of books.
Retsuko randomly stopped walking, causing Via and Kyu to also freeze and they turned to realize what had happened.
"Sh!t, I'm so sorry," Retsuko said, reaching out to help the boy steady his load.
The boy looked up at him, his eyes wide and surprised. He was about nine or ten years old, of Korean descent, with dark hair and bright, curious eyes.
"It's okay," he said in Korean. Retsuko was surprised to hear the language, but Kyu was able to understand him and translate.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you," Retsuko said and Kyu repeated in Korean, smiling at the boy.
"It's okay," the boy repeated, still looking a bit stunned.
Retsuko took a closer look at the books the boy was carrying. They were all in Korean, and she could see that they were textbooks for a language course, specifically one on history and scrolls of the past.
There was another on religion, and on general social studies.
Piecing two and two together, Via smiled in realization.
"Are you studying to become a priest?" Via asked in Korean.
Though being semi-fluent in the language herself, she stumbled over her words and pronunciations.
The boy nodded, his eyes lighting up. "Yes, I wish to take over as the temple cleric."
Via was impressed. "That's really cool," she said. "I've always wanted to take a social or religion class at the academy, but I haven't had the time."
The boy smiled. "It's never too late to start," he said. "You should come to our class sometime. We're always looking for new students."
Via smiled kindly. "Maybe I will," she said jokingly.
Stealing glances at Retsuko during their conversation, Kuu picked up on the boy's interest in him.
The young boy stared at Retsuko intensely, as if he were evaluating his appearance.
Retsuko glanced at him unassumingly and the boy moved over to Kyu and Via, tugging their clothes to get their attention.
They huddled up and the boy whispered something to them in Korean, causing them both to explode into laughter.
"What did he say?" Retsuko questioned.
Kyu struggled to form words between his laughter.
"He said that he thinks you're pretty but you look like a '레즈비언!" Kyu exclaimed, finally managing to put the words together.
"A who, now, what, when?" Retsuko questioned in complete confusion.
"A lesbian." Via translated in between laughs.
Retsuko's face grew red in embarrassment.
"Wait, does he think I'm a girl?" Retsuko said sullenly.
"Yup." Kyu and Via said in unison.
"Damn it!" Retsuko shouted in frustration, causing Kuu to laugh.
Retsuko grabbed his partner by the shoulders and began to swing him around.
"You think this is funny?! At this rate, if people keep mistaking me for a girl I'll never get a girlfriend!" Retsuko wailed.
"He did call you a lesbian…" Kyu said, shrugging as he walked up, bidding goodbye to the boy wth Via.
Retsuko followed him, having to put more effort into his strides to keep up with the taller boy as Via lagged behind due to being the shortest.
"I'm gonna punch you again." Retsuko threatened, but Kyu smiled arrogantly.
"It's not such a bad thing." Via interrupted.
"Yeah, lesbians have great style for starters." Kyu said. "Well I mean you don't at all, but generally they-" Kyu began.
"Boys who dress like that are so sexy…" Via fantasized aloud but Retsuko popped her bubble.
"Both of you shut up."
2027 - Unova, Star City Museum of Unova
Saabrina and Kion made it to the museum where there was a massive line due to a memorial event for the lives lost during the plaza attack.
The pair begrudgingly got in line and were forced to wait for what felt like hours.
"Of all the days you proposed the idea to go here you picked today." Kion groaned with a facepalm as the two approached the end of the line to get into the museum.
Seeing an opportunity, the man behind Saabrina groped her, causing Saabrina to whip her head around quickly.
The disgusting look on his face scared Saabrina into silence, afraid to move or do anything and continue to let him violate her.
Kion caught wind of this and lowered his head, covering his bloodlusted eyes with the shade of his locs.
Out of nowhere a giant seamitar was swung, and landed directly in front of the man's face.
Kion had silently released Khan from his pokeball, and now its large blade was being pointed directly at the man's face.
Kion lifted his head, his hair shifting to reveal one of his eyes.
His normally green eyes were darkened with anger, and his pupils had shrunken to resemble something inhuman. His eye almost looked like Khan's?
"Get. The hell. Away. From my friend." he growled.
The man, recognising Kion as the 9th ranked trainer in the world, backed off nervously and ran away in fear.
Saabrina stared at Kion in amazement.
"Are you okay? I saw what that guy did." Kion asked, returning to his normal self.
"Yeah I'm fine. What happened to us not being friends?" Saabrina asked with snark.
Kion rolled his eyes.
"It was just a formality. Besides, I have a personal hatred for that type of assault." Kion seethed, walking up the line into the museum.
Saabrina trailed behind him, taking bigger strides in order to keep up.
The tour guide gave them a usual tour because that's what the tickets Saabrina had bought were for.
As the guide was explaining the story of Reshiram and Zekrom, Kion inched closer to Saabrina and whispered to her.
"I think it's time for a bathroom break." Kion said in code.
Saabrina smiled giddly, nearly letting out a squeal in her inability to hold her excitement.
"Let's do this, agent K!"
2027 - Sinnoh, Oracle Temple
In the Oracle Temple, Samantha walked up the stairs onto the altar, where Daffodil was praying again.
Samantha got on her knees and bowed down to Daffodil, who smiled, standing up.
"Speak, child." He said serenely.
Sam looked back up at him with a disgusted expression.
"Dude… Don't ever say anything like that again. You acting all professional and being secular? Yeah, no." She rejected.
"Leave it to you to tell me what's unbecoming of myself…" Daffodil noted in an irritated tone.
He pulled out a smoke and lit it, breathing some in and holding it.
Sam smiled, ready to change the subject.
"The preparations are complete. We can begin the initiation whenever you want us to!" Sam said excitedly.
"Who should we choose to test their worthiness out of the three then?" Sam questioned.
Daffodil smiled intently.
"Retsuko Kourada was the first to awaken his Gijinka powers, making him our prime candidate. Besides, I have a special interest in the son of Nagato Kourada." He said, blowing out some smoke.
Samantha nodded.
"I find Kourada to be… Interesting to say the least. His appearance, for example, is so unique. I've never seen anyone like him with eyes so blue like his. His skin tone and hair make me think that he has some origin in Alkebulan, but he seems to be mixed with some sort of Asian. I've read about people having two different hair colors! And that mark underneath his left eye… And his teeth! They're so sharp, he looks like he has fangs! I wonder what his ethnicity is…" Samatha rambled.
Daffodil laughed giddily.
"You seem quite interested in the boy. A bit of a crush possibly?" He teased.
Sam's expression soured.
"Ew, no. Master, you're forgetting I have a boyfriend." She said, rejecting the suggestion.
Daffodil shrugged.
"Oh yes, that Ken character." He remembered, causing Sam to fold her arms in offense. Daffodil exhaled a bit of smoke from his mouth.
"So I suppose you've chosen Retsuko to be your page." He asked.
Sam nodded, causing Daffodil to smile.
"Well I'll be sure to ask him your question about his ethnicity after today's initiation."
Daffodil said, walking down the stairs. Sam followed behind him, dashing over to catch up to the much taller man, before following him out of the temple.
Retsuko, Kyu, and Via walked past right as they exited, and Daffodil caught sight of them.
"Hello 젊은 반신!" Daffodil greeted.
"좋은 아침이에요." Kyu replied bitterly.
"Oh, Mr. Yeonghon!" Retsuko greeted in surprise, bowing.
Master Daffodil laughed heartily.
"Mr. Yeonghon was my son. Please, Please, you can call me Daffodil." Kyu's grandfather explained.
"Right." Retsuko said.
Daffodil laughed heartily.
"We were actually just about to send for the three of you. All our preparations for your initiation are complete, and I think it's time that you all receive a proper tour of the Temple."
Retsuko and Kyu looked at each other and back to Daffodil while Via triumphantly put her hands to her hips.
"I'm so hyped!" She exclaimed.
Master Daffodil led the trio of young Pokemon trainers through the winding corridors of the Oracle Temple. The air was cool and musty, and the only sound was the soft padding of their footsteps on the stone floor.
As they walked, Master Daffodil spoke in hushed tones. "This temple is home to some of the oldest and most sacred artifacts in the Pokemon world. The mural we are about to see is said to be over a thousand years old, and it depicts the legendary Pokemon in all their glory."
Retsuko, Kyu, and Via listened in awe. They had never been to a place like this before, and the idea of seeing a thousand-year-old mural was almost too much to comprehend.
Finally, they arrived at a large chamber. The walls were adorned with intricate carvings and ancient symbols, and at the far end of the room, a massive mural covered the entire wall.
Master Daffodil gestured for the young trainers to come closer. "Behold, the legendary Pokemon," he said in a reverent tone.
The mural was massive, depicting all legendaries from the 3 Birds to the legendary beasts Zacian and Zamazenta.
The mural was breathtaking. It depicted the legendary Pokemon in all their majesty, and as soon as they laid eyes on it they all got a simultaneous wave of nostalgia.
"Do you feel that?" Daffodil questioned.
"Major Deja Vu." Kyu said, reaching out to touch the mural.
Highlighting the depiction of Lunala, the mural began to glow purple and cyan.
"This mural was created with the same type of stone that the fragment found under the star city Plaza was, but a less pure version. That stone was called an Oracle. We aren't entirely sure what their correlation to the Gijinka are due to an inability to translate the language engraved on the completed stone. Long ago, there were two oracles. A Black and White one. The Oracles were powerful energy sources that your enemy seems to want to claim. The white Oracle was shattered and its fragments were spread all around the pokemon world, but your enemy is tracking them down. As for the second oracle. Well, it's actually in our possession. Hidden in the walls of this temple." Daffodil explained.
"What caused the White stone to be fragmented? And if the oracle is here, won't this place be an eventual target of the orakuru?" Via questioned.
"That is exactly why I have to train you. Come." Daffodil beckoned.
Daffodil lead them to a room in the center of the temple, resembling the ruins that the Plaza had morphed into during the attack.
In the center of the room was a case with the same type of stone that was buried in the plaza, but this time it wasn't a fragment, it was a full Black Stone.
It glowed with purple runes, resembling the ones that were somehow linked to Via.
"What the heck is that?" Kyu asked.
"The Black Oracle…" Daffodil said and Retsuko muttered in unison.
He opened the case, exposing the scroll to the air.
"Hey don't you think we should open that in a safer pla- Kyu began but was interrupted by the scroll which started to glow, and the words on it were projected into the air?
The words on the scroll seemed to be in some sort of ancient language but it was oddly familiar to Retsuko.
It was right on his finger. Some sort of language that his grandfather had taught he and his brother in his youth, but he had no recollection of it anymore. It was like a mental block had been placed stopping him from accessing the memories…
"What In the hieroglyphics?" Kyu questioned sarcastically.
"They're so… Pretty." Via said, somewhat nostalgically.
She walked closer and touched one of the symbols. It distorted itself around her finger in a way that a computer projector would.
"If I could translate it, I would but I have no idea how to. The only man who could have translated it isn't with us anymore, and the remains of the language have been lost with time. Furthermore, it's missing the last page." Daffodil explained, activating his ability again.
His eye glowed again and the pupil spiraled into a star shape.
"This scroll holds the secrets of all of Re: in it. And the last page that was stripped from it is the key to everything." He said.
He turned to Retsuko who tensed up.
The two stared at each other for a good moment before Retsuko grew too uncomfortable to keep eye contact and Daffodil sighed in retirement.
"One more thing. And I specifically ask you, Retsuko Kourada." Daffodil explained.
Daffodil led Retsuko to an open field in front of the temple.
Kyu followed behind them, attempting to sneak around and avoid being found.
Walking up to Retsuko after nodding at Samantha, who stood side by side with her Lucario, Daffodil fixed his hair."Young Kourada. Before I agree to train you, I have a question for you. A test." Master daffodil said, putting his hands on Retsuko's shoulders.
Retsuko stopped walking.
"Question?" Retsuko asked in complete confusion.
Daffodil smiled deviously.
"Ass or Tits?" He asked.
Retsuko paused in shock at the question.
"...Eh?" Retsuko questioned and Samantha rolled her eyes, facepalming.
Kyu froze in shock, completely not expecting the inquiry. "Motherf*cker is really going in with the big questions off the bat!" He shrieked mentally. "Excuse me?" Retsuko replied awkwardly.
"It's a simple question, Retsuko Kourada. Which do you prefer, ass or tits?" Daffodil repeated.
Mixed between awkwardness and discomfort, Retsuko stood there in silence, unsure what to say.
Placing his hand to his chin and folding his arms, he relaxed himself, starting to think hard.
"I can't even pick." Retsuko finally answered after about a minute of deep thought.
Daffodil looked back at Retsuko with a disgusted and simultaneously disappointed expression. "Pathetic."
Kyu's hands immediately shot up to his face in worry as he clenched his teeth.
"Damn it Retsuko, the answer he was looking for was tall with a fat ass!" He mentally scolded.
Out of nowhere, Daffodil activated his eye ability again, using his dominance to force everyone unconscious but Retsuko and Kyu.
"His dominance again!" Kyu groaned as he was retired to the ground.
"ALLOW ME TO ASK YOU ONE MORE TIME, KOURADA." Master Daffodil shouted, increasing the pressure of his ability.
Retsuko struggled even more to stay on his feet.
"THIS WILL BE FOR YOUR REDEMPTION. ASS OR TITS?"
Kyu tensed up, fearing for Retsuko's fate.
"Come on Retsu. Answer the question truthfully, and go all in with your opinion and or it's your life."
Retsuko took a deep breath and attempted to stand, though his effort was futile.
Daffodil was initially taken aback by this, but eased up and let Retsuko stand.
Released from the tension on his body, Retsuko smirked, taking a breath and standing up amidst the pressure.
"Ass or tits, huh?" Retsuko repeated.
"Choose wisely." Daffodil growled intently.
"Or." Retsuko responded.
The pressure was immediately returned and Retsuko was brought back to his knees.
"You dare play games with me? Listen here boy-"
'"NO, YOU LISTEN. IF YOU'RE WITH A CHICK THAT'S GOT ALL ASS BUT NO TITS, THEN IT'S ACCEPTABLE CUZ SHE'S PROBABLY GOT A PRETTY FACE. BUT WHAT IF IT WAS REVERSED? " Retsuko shouted in protest.
"Ho?" Daffodil voiced in question.
"IF YOU'RE WITH A GIRL AND SHE'S GOT NO ASS BUT HELLA TITS, THEN IT'S AN ORDEAL FOR SURE CUZ OF THE PROPORTIONS. BUT WHY SHOULD WE JUDGE WOMEN BASED OFF OF THEIR BODIES?"
Daffodil fell to his knees in complete disappointment and the pressure on Retsuko subsided.
"No... Don't tell me that the son of the great Nagato Kourada... would choose "personality" over ass and tits..?" Daffodil said, defeated.
"Nah. But that's a part of it." Retsuko said.
Kaz exploded out of her Pokeball and the same burst energy from the Plaza incident began to radiate from herself and Retsuko.
Looking at her paws and up at Retsuko in confusion, Kaz jumped behind Retsuko's leg at the sight of an angered Master Daffodil.
"I'LL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. THE BEST BETWEEN ASS AND TITS... IS NEITHER. THE ANSWER IS A WOMAN'S THIGHS!"
Retsuko said, rushing forward and clashing his will with Daffodil's.
Daffodil's eyes widened in confusion.
"MADNESS! MADNESS YOU PREACH!" He shouted in accusation.
"Hear me out." Retsuko said calmly.
"WHAT IS THIS MADNESS THAT'S ESCAPING FROM YOUR LIPS? "NOW YOU SEE! ASS, WHICH IS CLEARLY THE SUPERIOR OF THE TWO CAN ONLY BE SUPPORTED BY ONE THINGS OR IT COMPLETELY RUINS THE LOOK. THE THIGHS!"
"Obviously tits are awesome, it's easy gropes, nice and soft headrests when you're tired, and when you getting down to business they bounce like crazy." claimed Retsuko.
Daffodil remained silent.
"Those are all valid but think about what you could do to that ass. You can also grope easily, you can smack that shit and it will jiggle, it'll also jiggle when you "get down to business" and most girls wish they had one." Retsuko listed.
"Yes but what does this have to do with thighs?" Daffodil questioned.
3
"When you walk up to a girl what are you going to see first?" Retsuko asked in a convincing voice.
"Depends. Tits, but that's walking up to her from the front but say you are walking behind her? Anyone would see that fat ass and wanna get a piece of it." Daffodil counterpointed.
"Yeah. You're gonna be like "Damn that shit fat I need to get with her, right?" Retsuko questioned.
"But what part of a girl's body is thick 360%? ALL THE WAY AROUND. NO MATTER WHAT, THE THIGHS ARE THE MAIN ATTRACTION. IF A GIRLS GOT ALL ASS BUT NO THIGHS IT'S TIME TO PACK IT UP! AND ASS IS SUPERIOR TO TITS! Retsuko added also in a convincing voice, soliciting his final statement.
Daffodil paused, releasing Retsuko from his ability's control.
"I see." He said in consideration, pausing to think for himself.
"Eh?" Kyu questioned, a bit too loudly causing Retsuko and Daffodil to hear him.
"It appears you've given me much to consider." Daffodil said to himself, lighting another blunt and taking a puff of it.
Daffodil paused before leaving, Kyu looking at him in complete confusion and disbelief.
Oh, and Retsuko? He questioned.
"Yeah?" Retsuko said, looking up to meet the man.
"What exactly is your ethnicity if you don't mind me asking? Your appearance is quite unique. And your name is Japanese but I don't remember Nagato marrying a Japanese woman?" He asked.
Retsuko smiled faintly.
"Well my mom's side of the family is from Alola and we're Filipino according to Grandpa Hala. My dad on the other hand is Nigerian so I'd say I'm a mix of those two." Retsuko explained, holding up two fingers.
"Mhmmmm." Daffodil replied, noting his explanation.
"As for my name… My gramps was a prankster and according to my mom, he promised her that she would get to name their firstborn because in my dad's culture the parents aren't allowed to name their children and it's the grandparents. So my dad and grandpa went and named me and my brother random Japanese names and my older sister is the only one with an Alolan name." Retsuko explained.
"Ahh, I see. A wonderful mix." Daffodil replied with a smile. "Alright now, Samantha." Daffodil waved, walking back into the temple.
Everyone around them who had woken up had returned to their normal mundane activities, and Samantha returned to her feet.
Samantha stepped up to Retsuko, pulling out hand wrapping for martial arts and applying the protective combat wear.
She smirked.
"This is gonna be fun."
2027 - Unova, Star City Museum of Unova
"Can I F*cking Leave now!?" Kion questioned Saabrina.
"Yup. The museum is closed now. But you'll still have to watch out for night guards."
As Kion stepped out of the restrooms, he couldn't hide his annoyance at Saabrina's antics. He had been waiting in there for hours until the museum closed, and he was starting to feel claustrophobic. Saabrina chuckled at his reaction, knowing she had pushed his buttons yet again.
Kion made his way to the archive library keeping Khan in his pokeball to remain stealthy.
Avoiding guards, Kion leaped into the entrance to the library.
As he approached the door, he noticed a keypad lock on it.
"Uhh, Bri. There's a lock." Kion said, dropping his bag.
"Guess something, these types of people try to intimidate you with a scary looking lock bu reverse psychology." Saabrina bragged.
He looked around, making sure no one was watching, and started to input numbers. After a few tries, he heard a click, and the door unlocked. He couldn't believe his luck.
Hearing the click, Saabrina beamed happily and Kion rolled his eyes.
"Don't let it get to your head. I can literally HEAR you smiling." Kion said in disbelief at her being right.
"My fault, my fault." Saabrina apologized half-assedly.
Inside, Kion was greeted by towering shelves lined with ancient tomes and rare manuscripts. The floorboards creaked beneath his feet as he made his way towards the archive computer, hidden away in the far corner of the room. He quickly scanned the computer's interface, his fingers dancing across the keyboard as he searched for the file he had come for.
Inserting his drive, he started a file transfer but was blocked by another wall.
"Bri-" Kion called out again but Saabrina interrupted him.
"I can see it. Another password." She guessed.
"Work your magic girl." Kion said bitterly.
"I can't see the exact code on this one either but I can tell the amount of digits in it this time. 14 Characters." She said, adjusting her AR glasses that allowed her to see through Kion.
"That narrows it down." Kion said semi-sarcastically.
A microphone icon appeared on the screen, startling Kion.
"A voice search. Maybe it's a date?" Saabrina questioned.
"Why the heck would it be a date, that's too easy to guess." Kion retorted.
"I'm very confident it's a date." Saabrina said proudly.
"I don't think so," Kion said. "It could be anything. Maybe it's a reference number or a password."
"I'm telling you, Saabrina, it's not a date," he insisted.
Saabrina scowled. "I'm sure it's a date," she repeated. "But fine, we'll try your stupid ideas first. What do you suggest?"
Kion smirked.
"Well, this is the Unova Government we're talkin about. They change data frequently, meaning this should all be suited to the current dictator. Asther. What if it's something relating to her?" Kion questioned.
"Go for it." Saabrina brushed him off.
"Dragon Master." Kion said, pressing the microphone icon that resonated with the tone of this voice.
An error message beeped and Saabrina laughed.
"Why the heck would you guess something so random!?" She managed to say.
"Why the heck are you so adamant about it being a date?" Kion questioned in suspicion.
"I dunno, a feeling? This is so irking, just let me try!" Saabrina argued.
"No, it's not a f*cking date." Kion rejected.
"Ugh, I told you it was a date," Saabrina said. "Now let me try my idea." She added, getting annoyed.
"Y'know what fine, let's try your nut ss idea, you want a date, here's a date!" Kion exclaimed in frustration."
Saabrina rolled her eyes.
"Let's try 10 September 2010," he said, trying the voice search again with a completely random date off the top of his head.
Rolling his eyes in anticipation of it not working, Kion was shocked to hear a beep, followed by a mechanical whirring sound.
"You're f*cking sh*tting me." He said in disbelief.
"Huh. Interesting." Saabrina said, a smug look on her face.
"Kill yourself." Kion said irritantly.
"Gladly!" Saabrina chirped, causing him to roll his eyes.
And then, as they scrolled through the results, Kion's eyes widened.
"This changes everything," he said softly, reading through it.
"Told ya it was a date." Saabrina said smugly.
"My guess by the way." Kion said.
"My idea tho." Bri added.
Kion grunted loudly, stomping his foot down.
"ENOUGH ABOUT THE DATE, SAABRINA!"
