The few days remaining before the new generation of ninjas started the academy had passed as quickly as a simple breath in time. He could see the future ninjas of his village entering through the academy doors, where he once was. He couldn't help but smile as he saw the people for whom his life now remained stable, and he hadn't resigned from the title of Hokage the night he lost his companion.
Looking through the Hokage's crystal ball, he could see his children sitting together in one of the last rows of the classroom, where they would spend the next six years of their lives until they graduated to become future shinobi and make a name for themselves in the ninja world. However, despite being proud of them, he couldn't help but feel a slight discomfort as he saw Kenzo's gaze directed straight at Naruto, looking at him as if he were seeing his mortal enemy in front of him.
One day after his children's birthday, he had to separate the boys for the sole reason that Kenzo, after Naruto's blow to his person, had pounced on him, wishing to unleash some of the corrosive chakra of the Nine-Tailed Fox. He didn't have to think twice to immediately get Naruto out of Kenzo's way when he attacked him from behind, propelled by the fox's chakra.
He neutralized Kenzo in time after putting Naruto safely aside with the Five-Point Seal, leaving him unconscious in front of the guests who saw everything. The party ended with a bitter taste in everyone's mouth as they watched one of their sons attack the other, fueled by the power of the fox that had taken away the love of his life. It was clear that he knew the difference between the vessel and the container, so to speak, but he still had the memories of that power that had taken away one of the people he loved most in his life.
That night, he made the decision to start training his Jinchuriki children after seeing one of them being carried away by emotions more than he should. He began training them in emotional control so that they wouldn't lose their heads if they ever broke free again. Of course, he hadn't forgotten about his younger son's training, but knowing how advanced he was because of his own prodigious abilities, he left him in the care of his godparents so that he could give more priority to his other children.
It wasn't that he was biased towards them, but rather it was for the protection of his younger son, as he feared that in the moment he wasn't present, Kenzo or Kaori would be carried away by the fox's chakra and harm their younger brother without them knowing it. For that reason, he decided to focus on them for the time being so that in the future, they could have better control over the fox's chakra and use it to protect the village, but above all, to protect each other.
He didn't lie to himself by saying that his two older sons were geniuses, but he knew that neither of them would give up to reach their goals. They had a determination that was equal to that of their mother; when she set her mind to something, she would try until she succeeded. This was something he was happy to see because it was a way they reminded him of his late wife through them. However, even though they reminded him of her in some way, he always saw more of Kushina in Naruto than in them. Physically, he was a complete copy of his deceased wife, but in personality, he was completely different.
He remained serene most of the time, barely letting anything disturb him, only changing his expression when a book caught his attention, which he gave to read. But he hoped that would change once he was in the academy so that he could make friends his own age and lead a more normal life than he already had, now that he was his son. The village gave him everything on a silver platter, pampering him, something he was grateful for, but he didn't want his children to become arrogant.
And that's the end of the chapter, to be honest, this one was short because it's an interlude to move faster to what many want from the canon, so it's easier for you and for me.
