Jamie's Encore
Chapter 10 Reunited
SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
JUNE 10
Jamie's badge gets him access right to the gate; he is impatiently waiting for the passengers to disembark from the flight arriving from JFK. The love of his life is coming 'home' to their new home! She settled for a coach seat by the window, so he assumes that she will be one of the last to deplane. He is correct.
"JAMIE!" she squeals as she rushes into his waiting arms. They hug for long moments before she pulls back and looks at him, mile wide smiles on both faces. After a brief kiss she hands off her carry-on, keeping her purse and shoulder bag. She uses a shoulder bag to carry the most valuable scores – those she must have to continue her concert prep. She cannot afford to have them lost for any length of time.
"I missed you so much," she whispers.
"Me too, I love you!" He whispers back.
"Love you more!" She comes back.
"Love you most! Gotcha this time!"
"Enjoy the win!" She smiles.
"I will," he gloats, with a grin.

CORONADO CONDO
"Did the moving van arrive as we hoped?" Caitlin inquires as they walk in the door.
"Yup, 3 PM yesterday. Olivia was here to make sure things were properly placed. Especially your baby!"
She walks into the living room. Her grand piano was sitting nicely. As she would play, her back was to San Diego Bay and the city; eliminating distractions. The piano could easily be turned to change the view. She sat on the bench, raised the cover off the keys, stroked them with a loving touch and began to play. Jamie reclined on a love seat, closed his eyes and was in heaven!
SHE WAS BACK!
All was well with his world.

Caitlin never was able to sleep on the plane. She was tired and restless. She easily convinced Jamie to call for a pizza for a quick supper, then early to bed. It was Friday evening, so they could sleep in tomorrow morning, have a late brunch and then begin to unpack her things that had arrived on the van.
Jamie hadn't told her that he had asked Olivia to prepare the Saturday morning brunch. So, at 09:00, after a late night of reconnecting with her lover, Caitlin was awakened by the smell of fresh coffee. She roused, propped herself up on an elbow, and looked at her man. He opened his eyes and smiled; "Good morning, beautiful!"
"What do I smell, hm?" She cocked an eyebrow.
"Coffee, have you forgotten?" He smirked.
She lightly slapped his arm. "Who?"
"Our cook." He answered, trying hard not to laugh.
"We have a cook?" She cocked her head.
"Rafael loaned her to us."
"He did not!" She doesn't believe him.
"Brunch is ready," Olivia calls.
Caitlin smiles, gives Jamie a long, deep kiss and swings her legs out of bed. She pulls on her robe and dashes for the kitchen. She wraps her arms around her friend, "God, it's good to see you again! Thanks for being here."
"My pleasure, boss! Welcome to sunny California! I'm really glad that you're here. Jamie can start smiling again."
"Oh, did he mope without me?"
"BIG TIME! Don't tell him I said that, though."
"Said what?" He says from the doorway.
"Never mind," Caitlin says. She turns to give him a hug and kiss, "Let's set the table, babe."
"Yes, ma'am." He starts to get out the needed place settings. 'Man, I'm loving this!'

AFTER BRUNCH
They haven't gotten started unpacking when Jamie's cell phone rings.
"Jamie Reagan here. Who's calling?"
"Kensi Blye, remember me? The Oceanside weddings?"
"Yes, I remember. May I make this number a contact?"
"Surely, this is my personal cell. I have a request, if I may?"
"Ok, I'll see what I can do."
"I just learned that your girlfriend is working with the San Diego symphony, and will be playing with them July 12."
"That is correct."
"Could you possibly help me and Marty get tickets to that concert?"
"Well, that would be Caitlin's area. Can I call you back in, say, 2 hours?"
"Surely, that would be great!"
"You understand that you would then owe me 2 solids. Right?"
Silence.
Then Jamie laughs into his phone. "Kidding, Kensi. Kidding!"
"Really, I mean-
"I'm really kidding Kensi. I would be delighted to see you and Marty, and attend the concert with you two. I'll call you back as I suggested. Bye."
Jamie pulls Caitlin to sit with him on their balcony as he tells her more about their Oceanside operation.
"Would you like me to see about tickets for Kensi and Marty? What about those college girls? I have been thinking about them."
"What is there in your contract about concert tickets?"
"I don't remember. I'll need to find the box with my papers and things, and review the contract. I labeled things, it should be easy to find."
She finds the box, and the contract.
"Jamie, will you look over my contract? I need to unpack my bathroom stuff, cosmetics and such."
"Will do, sweetheart."
"Thanks, I'll be out when I'm finished with that."
He reviews, she unpacks.
30 minutes later
They cuddle on the double lounge chair on the balcony.
"You've been enjoying this climate without me, haven't you?" She whines.
"And whose fault is that?"
"I know, I had to finish that term. I barely got through it without you there."
"I'd rather have you than the climate, any day!"
"Aw, you say the nicest things! You shall be rewarded!"
"Oh . . . I can hardly wait."
Long, deep kiss.
"Is that all?" He frowns.
"More later, I promise. Now, about my contract?"
"You are allotted 4 tickets per symphony concert; 2 tickets to 6 other events of your choice – if available. You can negotiate for more, and usually others with ticket allotments have unused tickets. You need to contact the main office to see what is available. Clear?"
"Yeah. I have been thinking of those 4 college girls. I would like to talk with Rafael and see if we can work something out for a block of seats for young people. For symphony concerts. To encourage their interest in classical music. What do you think?"
"I think that's a great idea. Now that I think about it, maybe I could get the SDPD to sponsor 2-4 seats. And could you and I sponsor 2? And Spencer's firm 4-6? This could be quite a campaign!"
"I think that me cuddling by your side inspires you, Jameson!"
"It does."
Tickets and unpacking are forgotten for other pursuits.

The next day Jamie calls Kensi; telling her that he and Catlin are working on tickets. He assures her that something will be worked out, and she and Marty can make plans to attend the concert. He even invites them to stay in their guest room. She says that she would get back to him on that.
