Chapter 21

Day at the fair

Week 4: Day 38

(Johnathan's POV)

It's been nine days days since I've been administered in this god forsaken hospital. It's not that bad, it's just that I am bored as hell with nothing to do but watch the paint chip. I can't do anything till I can get administered OUT OF HERE! Hopefully it is today. Guess it isn't all that bad. I got Mu hidden away in my helmet on the end table to keep me company while everyone else is back at Beacon for who knows what. Almost out of the casts and ready to get out of here. Just waiting for my arm to heal up.

Velvet stops by every day and we talk. We agreed that the day after I get out of this hellhole we're going to the Vytal festival pre-event street fair. Apparently the Vytal festival is a big thing here, don't know why and I won't complain. I love fair games, I know how to beat the rigged games almost every time, dad taught me a while back. Even better when they test my aim, I love seeing their reactions every time. Especially when I shot an asshole down the row in the ass a hundred times, he had it coming. Trying to harass a young girl into kissing him, even after she said no a million times. No one did something so I stepped up and did something. Worth the weekend in jail while the girl's parents paid my bail. They thanked me and gave me a plate of fresh cookies, Elaia ate them all before the morning began. I have taught her well.

Alice has agreed to be Beacon's new hand-to-hand combat teacher to prepare the students for the worst. I can see the practicality behind it, you're not always going to have your weapon on you or if you run out of bullets, there is a sure fire way to make sure you'll always have a way to defend yourself. Plus I heard she got in a practice fight with Goodwitch to test her skill. What I would have given to see a real SPARTAN II in action, to see the legends come true before my very eyes. Only fought beside one II and that was Jorge. It was a one week thing, but boy was it fun. Emile still owes me 20 credits for decapitating a Brute Chieftain.

Serena and Elaia were temporally using my dorm to stay in. Don't know how everyone is reacting to Elaia. From what I've heard, CFVY is being pretty protective of her and Coco nearly sent someone to the hospital for pulling on her tail. Coco now has earned my undying respect and my eternal gratitude. From what I hear Elaia, Nora, Ruby get along pretty well. I shutter to think of what the hammer welding maniac will try to teach her. Cole went to his own dimension to rest up. Forcing two connections in a single day is tough on the poor guy. He might sleep like a bear. Won't be hearing from him for a while.

Good news is that I can move most of my body, bad news is it all still hurts. Apparently my 'Aura' that Velvet unlocked helps speed up the healing process. Not by a insane amount to where I am like Deadpool but enough to where I can move my body without it feeling like I got hit by a freight train. Arm went from a cast to a sling. If I can remember right, Aura acts like a shield to many, a sword to others if trained right, and healer to all. Something called a semblance comes with Aura. I asked Velvet about it yesterday. From what I can understand, a semblance is a lot like the armor abilities from Project Freelancer, only you don't need an AI fragment to run them. It is a manifestation of your soul and some what reflects on your personality or something like that. No idea what my semblance is, I'll figure it out later when I'm out of here.

I can sort of make connections between semblances and armor abilities now that I think about it deeply. Blake's Shadow clones are a lot like C.T's hologram projection. Weiss's glyphs to North's dome shield now that I look deeply at the comparisons. Both appear pretty much out of nowhere and can be used to do many things if used correctly. Ruby's speed semblance to Carolina's speed enchantment, not much needs to be said there. Yang's semblance, forget what she calls it, to Maine and Tex's unnatural strength and fury. Horrible comparison but when the they get angry, I'm not sure who I'd rather fight. All three will kill me a hundred different ways and still make each one more painful then the last. Wyoming's time distortion unit to . . . I think Oobleck or Port might have something like that. They always seems to appear at the right time or place for a lot of things. Ozpin might have that as well, he is always at the right place and time for everything related to his academy.

Now that I really think hard about it. I can find distinct similarities between the people in this universe to the ones I meet in the RVB universe. Blake and C.T act alike, both act like they are hiding something and both use their clones/holograms to help them confuse the enemy in a fight. Ruby and Caboose are a bit alike as well, both are innocent minded and love snacks. Yang and Tucker act a lot alike. Both make god awful jokes and puns (Tucker more sexually oriented then Yang's, but still awful), both love having a good time, and they both would kick the ass of anyone who hurts their friends., (Though Yang is 100 times scarier.) Weiss and Carolina act alike. Both cold toward new people, don't trust easy, and both don't like talking about their families too much. Once I started connecting the dots, it all makes sense to me. Monty must have had some influence from Red vs Blue when he created RWBY, the resemblances are uncanny. Then again the drugs are talking more then I am. They got me on a few pain killers to help with the fractured bones. Plus on something or another to help my 'Aura' regenerate faster. I'm hopped up on enough painkillers to see sound, that is how high they have me.

"Hello Johnathan." An angelic voice said. "How are you feeling today?" I turned my attention from watching the paint on the ceiling chip to the door. Velvet was standing there in her combat uniform looking as beautiful as ever. I smiled as she walked in and sat beside me.

"Better now that you're here." I replied chuckling a bit at my cheesy line. "Honestly Velv, I'm bored as freaking hell. Please tell me that my 'Aura' fixed everything and that I can get out of here within the next five minutes before I go insane." I pleased trying my best to replicate Elaia's innocent kitty eyes.

"Talked to the doctor. They said you can leave today." She explained kissing my forehead. I smiled at the good news. "But I had to promise them to keep you from stressing yourself too much. So no combat till that arm is healed. Doctor's orders and mine." She informed crossing her arms. Well there's no talking my way out of this. Woman has her mind set, no force known to man can change it. I threw my hand up in defeat as she smiled and kissed me again.

"What are we waiting for, we have a date to go on." I said throwing the covers off me and getting out of bed. I've been confined to a bed all together for longer then I care to admit. I know how this routine works. I will admit one thing, I am horrible at romance. Seriously, I can't be romantic to save my life. Aside from cheesy romance everyone knows. Dad taught me a but about dating but not a whole lot before he passed. I asked Serena for advise once, she just said to be myself. I was stupid enough to ask Tucker for advise at once, all that got me was a freaking kick with steel toed boots to the nuts, again and again and again and again and a few dozen more times after that. That was a very pain day and I learned never to take Tucker's advice. Probably should have known that to begin. Reminder to self, shoot Tucker in the nuts when I see him again. Payback can be a mean son of a bitch, and so am I when needed.

Two hour later

This was nice. Fresh air filling up my lungs, smell of greasy and delicious fair food being cooked. Feeling of having the woman I love beside me and holding my hand, unfortunately it is my robotic hand that I can feel jack shit with. That was the only thing I can complain about.

It was like a regular street fair from when I was growing up, only a lot bigger and with more people wondering around. I was in my armor minus the helmet. Had it hanging by my waistt by my swords. Velvet brought her box of wonders. Safe to say we learned from last time we forgot them. Fleshy arm was in a sling, not suppose to be using it yet. Mu was with RWBY for the day while they went to the dock for who cares why, she didn't tell me her reasons and I never asked. They agreed to babysit her, shouldn't be too hard. Asked Coco watch Elaia while we were out. Coco agreed but Fox warned me that she might teach her something bad. If Coco does, she'll be wishing I was dead and lose my eternal gratitude.

To be honest, I wanted to bring Elaia along to have some 'Father-daughter' bonding time because I haven't seen her in so long. But I promised Velvet a day alone with her. A Grey keeps his promise, not even death can stop a Grey from fulfilling it. I'll bring Elaia down when I am sure it is safe for her. This will be a recon mission/date. I'm doing some recon to be sure the festival is safe for her, and spending time with Velvet. Win/Win in my book. I'll bring her home some cotton candy. She'll forgive me.

"So what is the Vytal festival for anyway?" I asked as we strolled down the road. Vendors of various kinds were set up and down the block. Multiple games to play and try to win various sized stuffed Grimm toys, there is even a adorable Kitsuninja plushy and over sized Ursa that looked like Winnie the Pooh. Even a few rides you expect to see at a fair. Ferris wheel, bumper cars, tea cups, even a large slide for little kids. Man, the one time I wish I didn't wear my armor, but I don't want anything to get the jump on me without it. We're kind of limited on what we can go on together. Doubt they made a ride with an extra thousand pound weight capacity. Well the Ferris Wheel maybe,

"Every two years a kingdom is chosen to open it's doors to the world, to allow citizens from everywhere in Remnant to meet and indulge in one another's cultures. Last time it was Atlas, before that it was Vanco, then Mistral, and so on for the past eight years. This time it's Vale's turn." She explained. So it's a lot like the Olympics back home. Makes sense, every universe has something like it one way or another. "It was named after the small Island of Vytal where the Great war ended. It was a war that spanned through all of Remnant." A lot like World War I. I am starting to make a few connections here. No idea what the Human-Faunus war could be, WWII maybe. Still don't know enough to make a guess. "There is fairs, parades in some cases, all sorts of things. And at the center, the Vytal tournament. Huntsmen teams from all the kingdoms sign up to compete in it. To test one another's strengths and weaknesses in a controlled and sportsmanship friendly environment." Yeah, definitely like the Olympics to me.

"Is CFVY participating in the tournament?" I asked.

"If fact we are. Coco signed us up saying 'it could be fun'. I can't wait for it to begin. All the different types of styles people use, all the different cultures to learn about. Just. . . amazing in general." She explained day dreaming a bit. I let out a small chuckle as she smiled at me. "What about you? Is Freelancer joining?"

I don't know yet. I trust Rhode enough to have my back in it, we can show people what a Freelancer can do. Though I doubt the Raptors will be allowed to participate, they don't exactly know how to fight without maiming their target. Azula will pretty much kill anything on sight if she is hungry. Plus there is Mu who is the unofficial third member of our team, come to think of it. Me and her count as half technically. She isn't a full being without a body, and I am not full person without a little merciful voice in my head. Plus there is another minor complication.

"I don't know if I'll be able to stay for that. With Cole here I'd have to get back to work some time soon, before MERC sends the search parties for a deserter. You're much happier not knowing what they do to deserters." I said softly with a heavy heart. Velvet's ears fell flat against her head. I felt a huge ping of guilt and sorrow well up inside me. No, this is not the way to start a date. Cheer her up. NOW! "I'm stay as long as I can, just for you. So let's not worry about the depressing future and focus on the joy filled present." I said kissing the top of her head. She giggled a bit as her ears perked up. I smiled as something caught my eye. A over sized stuffed T-Rex toy hanging by a balloon popping game. Detail on it was amazing, they even got the tooth count right which is a bit rare to do. Looked a lot less menacing the real thing, but cute never the less. I smirked as I pointed it out to her.

"I spy a certain stuffed dinosaur by the balloon game, and it has your name on it. Wanna try it out?" I asked. She nodded as we approached the vendor. Looked like your typical carnival vendor. Young teenager, probably a temporary job. Dark hair, blue eyes, grey wolf ears. Normal blue jump suit for carnival workers. He greeted us, I paid the five Lien for three darts each. He accepted the money and gave us our darts. Like the gentleman I was raised to be, I let the lady go first. To win the Rex we needed to pop three balloons in a row, small plushy is two balloons in a row, whistle is one balloon.

The Balloon game, may look easy but it is tricky to master. The balloons are inflated just below the normal level. The dart bounces off of them, few are filled up more to he popping point to keep certain people from thinking it is rigged. Trick to this game is having great hand/eye coordination and knowing which balloons are full and which are not. Dad taught me and Serena this at every carnival we went to as kids. Even went as far as to show us step by step how to win with the game operator there. Good part about being from another universe, no one here will expect me to know the secret to wining the games.

Velvet readied her first dart in her right hand, she eyed the red balloon around the middle, stuck her tongue out as she aimed carefully. I had my hand on my chin studying the balloons as she threw her first dart. It popped the balloon as the metal tip of the dart made contact. I clapped as she readied her second dart. Eyed a rather large green one. I smirked as she let her second dart fly. It landed right on target with a loud pop. I clapped as she readied her third dart, eyed the lone blue one off to the side. This is where the game gets you when you aim for the big prizes. Out of the fifty balloons on the board, I counted only five or six where the easy to pop ones, none Velvet was aiming at. She let her dart loose as it hit it's target. Like I predicted, it bounced off the balloon and fell to the ground. The vendor congratulated her on her win as he gave her a Rabbit Grimm plushy and wished her better luck next time. Velvet smiled as she moved aside to let me try. I nodded and went right to work.

I aimed my first dart in my left hand and threw it without hesitation. Impacted the dead center of the same blue balloon Velvet tried to break. Quickly took my second dark and threw it. It popped a red balloon on the top right. Picked up my last dart and threw it at a green one in the middle of the board. It struck the balloon with enough force to break it and embed itself shaft deep in the board. The vendor looked at it with eyes the size of dinner plates. Three balloons in three seconds. Velvet looked impressed as the Vendor handed me the giant stuffed Rex.

"I gift to thee, Sir fluffyous from the kingdom of Animal stuffies." I said using the my best Shakespeare impression as I handed her the fluffy dinosaur. She couldn't keep a straight face as she accepted the over sized animal with a laugh. Hell, I couldn't keep the act up without laughing

"I'm assuming this is another thing you learned from your time around the Multiverse." She said holding the giant Rex that was almost as big as her. I wrapped my hand around hers as we walked though the fair a bit more.

"No, my father taught me that. One of the very few things he taught me about dating before he passed. He told me that women love it when you win stuff for them, and that the good ones appreciate the time and effort you put into their gifts instead of the amount of money you spend on it." I explained chuckling a bit. Normally I don't talk about my parents too much, well not around people I am not too comfortable being around. Around Velvet, I feel like I can be myself. I feel like a completely different person around her. A lot calmer and less insane. "I still remember the time when he got on the dunk tank plank and told us to try to get dunk him. We were five at the time, spent a good two hours trying and failing to hit the target, while he was there trying to entertain us by acting like a seal. Serena eventually gave up and punched the button." I said chuckling.

"Your father sounds like he was a great guy." She said.

"He was a great man. Taught us how to function in the real world while still giving us a great childhood. I remember running down the stairs on Saturday the mornings to watch the Loony Toons. Bugs Bunny was always my favorite character, he was just a pure badass." I said. Velvet looked pretty confused. "Oh they are the best when it comes to old shows, pure comedy gold. Tons of slap stick humor and corny jokes. Wonder if it would be considered racist here?"

"Why?" She asked raising an eyebrow. How do I explain this carefully without her torching my ass. Never had to describe the Loony Toons before other then 'Funny as hell'.

"Basically about talking cartoon animals getting into all sorts of funny trouble. Bugs Bunny earned his title for 'the king of troll' for over fifty years and counting." I informed. She still looked confused. "I'll show you a few episodes later. Let's go do something you want now, I picked the game. Your turn to pick something for us to do." Her eyes lit up as her smile went from ear to ear, doesn't matter which ears. Her smile was still huge and adorable. She squealed a bit as she dragged me toward a food vendor. She handed me the Rex stuffy as she ordered our food. I can tell this is going to be a good day.

(Velvet's POV)

Hour later

"No way something like that actually happened." I said swiping a bite from our shared Funnel cake. We were at one of the benches pretty much swapping stories, side by side. He was telling me about his time at Freelancer, I told him about my time being a first year. Back when Coco was a bit of a fashion nut, to put it politely. Jonathan on my left, our stuffed Rex on my right. I'll admit it does feel weird having a stuffed version of a beast that nearly ate me, but it looks adorable never the less. Sun was slowly arcing downward below the water, air was salty yet felt good on a normal late Autumn day. It wasn't too cold yet not too hot out, one of the few times where the temperature was just right. The picnic area we chose was pretty dead. Only a few pigeons scavenging crumbs from the ground.

"I'm not kidding, it was freaking terrifying. Tex had just finished arming the transmitter. Of course Carolina decided to butt heads with her a little but before we were surrounded on all possible sides. Hornets armed and ready to kill us, their leader was a major dickhead though. Swearing at us, waving his gun around like he was the big bad boss in charge, insulted poor York. Well to be fair we were there to kill them so it was understandable, but he didn't have to insult York like that." He explained taking a bite of the food. "Suddenly a dozen or so red beams focused on the transmitter. Carolina and Tex dispatched the hostiles while York handed the dickhead the transmitter. Not even two seconds later, the Director decided to fire the freaking MAC right where we were at. Imagine being mere inches from a crater, caused by a cannon with the destructive output of over 64.52 kilotons of TNT. Even if the MAC wasn't at full power it still was pretty damn destructive. Destroyed the entire building with a single shot.I barely got away in time before being vaporized. My ears were ringing for hours after that."

"Wow, sounds like you got a guardian angle on your shoulder." I complimented.

"No Mu replaced him a while back, Freelancer was way too extreme for him to handle. Anyway, not long after that did we have to jump off a hundred something story building into a free fall. Yeah it was fun except for the bullets flying at us. Four-Seven-Niner flew in and picked up Tex, Wash and the main objective. Maine pick up York and Carolina in a military car before they went splat on the ground, I hijacked a Hornet and used it to cover them while we went after the secondary object. Rest is just pure Freelance badassary I can't explain to the fullest. The entire mission was a success, but at the cost of Maine losing his ability to speak forever." He explained sounding more impressed then sad. "Funny really, the man is a living tank. You thought I was an injury magnet, he is a lot worse. I don't know how he did it but he managed to survive nine shots to the throat, a sniper round to the chest, probably a whole lot more if I know him by now."

I whistled in amazement. Maine sounds like someone I wouldn't want to mess with. From what Johnathan has been telling me, it would take an army to stop him, and that would just be for him to reload before continuing his murder spree.

Johnathan speaks fondly of his time Freelancer. He told me all about York, Wash, Rhode a bit more, and North Dakota. From how he speaks of them, they were his best friends for the longest. He told me more about South 'training' him. She sounds like the woman I wouldn't want to meet. Cold toward everyone and very hateful. Makes Cardin on a bad day look like a saint in comparison. Tex and Carolina he describe them as 'forces of nature to fear and respect'. If half of what he says is true, then there is good reason for it too. He told me the times North and Rhode would stay by his side after a night terror, Maine giving him his teddy bear to help him sleep better. I find it funny that a tough guy like Maine had a teddy bear. Johnathan said it was a old style bear that looked worn and a bit destroyed.

Apparently it was all Maine had to remember his old life before their war consumed his planet, same as most of the Freelancers. He said they all carried things from their old lives before the Covenant destroyed their worlds. Rhode's purple armband was all she had left to remember her family, the twins had each other, York had a key chain if I heard right. C.T had a pair of ballerina slippers from when she was a little girl. Carolina had her mother's dog tags to remember her by, and so on. Pretty sad story, having to fight to live at all, willing to go to such lengths for your race to have the right to exist. The Covenant sound like they would make what the White fang do look like a preschool playground bully in comparison. Sure they are misguided but not to the point where they burn planets to ash. I'm kind of glad now that the White fang is the worst we got, beside the Grimm of course.

"Sounds like you miss them, the Freelancers." I said holding my head up with one arm.

"Like everyone I meet on my travels, I miss them all. Freelancers the most, I got to know them on a personal level. They were like a second family to me. Someone I can count on in the dark and merciless multiverse, someone who has my back no matter what. I can never thank them enough for training me. Though I never got to properly say goodbye to them all, or keep my end of the deal. Something that has haunted me to this day." He explained sounding a bit sad about it. "Anyway, what was Beacon like your first year?"

"Eh, it was interesting to say the least. Coco loved using me like a model, especially with bows. She loved the fact that I am a Faunus, said ' my ears provided her with a challenge and she loves a challenge'. She didn't pull on them willingly so I didn't complain. Fox was a bit of a joker. The jokes he use to make put Yang's to shame. Yastu was just a quite and calm as he is now. He really didn't change much. I use to be a lot more shy and less trusting. Lot of the people at my old schools pulled on my ears, called me names I rather forget, few even tried to chop off my feet for good luck. So I had a bit of a issue trusting people easy. Few problems with bullies first year, heck they are still bit of a problem. But I'll figure out a way to fix the problem eventually." I explained.

I reached over and held his hand, his human hand. It stiffened at my touch but soon relaxed as he held mine from his sling. Even with his hand in the gel suit thing, I can still feel his soft touch through it. The warmth of his body heat through the fabric and the gentleness of his touch. It's amazing that he had the strength to rip things apart when needed yet still able have a gentle touch able to pick up delicate objects.

"You're an amazing person Velvet, don't let anybody make you think otherwise." He said wrapping his other arm around me and kissed me, I closed my eyes and kissed him back as I wrapped my other arm around him. Everything felt perfect. . . till Johnathan's helmet started going off. We separated and blushed heavily as it played some type of ringtone. Went somewhere along the lines of 'So light 'em up up up. Light 'em up up up. Light 'em up up up. I'm on fire!' He blushed brightly and threw his helmet on to try and hide it.

"Why the heck is Serena calling?" He said as he pushed a button on the side of his helmet. The little blinking red light I remember from day one came on. "You have reached Johnathan Grey's voice mailbox. The man you are trying to reach is currently on a date with a beautiful rabbit eared angel. Please leave your name, number, and message after the beep. Beep." He joked. Yeah I am dating a dork, but he's my dork and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. I smiled as he was trying and failing to contain his laughter.

"Johnathan I know that is you, we got a slight problem here." Serena said. Johnathan quickly straightened up and lost the calm aura he was generating.

"What happen? Elaia okay?" He asked.

"What, yeah Elaia is fine. The fashion nut is teaching her how to paint people's nails. It's what the red kid and her team has a problem and I got to tell you something." She said.

"Elites? Flood? Reapers? Hilary Clinton or Trump?" He asked. No idea what the Flood or Reapers are, but I'm sure they are bad. Hope it isn't anymore Elites. No idea what a Hilary Clinton or Trump is. Sounds like politicians to me.

"Not quite. Black girl with the bow is missing, but that's not the bad part." She said. "The Meta has been spotted all over Vale within the past three days. He's robbed over twenty Dust shops and stole entire trains of the stuff. Whatever he's planning it's going to be huge, and Emily is with him."

Johnathan was dead silent and froze like a statue. I can feel the fear he gave off just by the mere mention of their names. Who ever the Meta and Emily are, they sound like bad news if Johnathan froze up like that.

"Your right Serena, that is worse. Much . . . much worse."

(Theta's POV)

"That's the operation for tomorrow. Everyone clear on their roles? No one's lost or needs me to explain it again? " Some bowler hat guy named Torchwick asked. The room was full of a dozen or so of the fluffy animal people. We've been working by his side for the past week, robbing Dust stores, and stealing creates of the stuff. Even stole an entire train full of the stuff with Maine's help. I don't know what anyone would need with this much Dust. Sigma never asked and didn't ask questions. He just had us go from one robbery to the next non stop. Maine wasn't tired in the least. I was on his shoulder again. I kind of like the fluffy animal people, the mouse one is nice to me. Never got her name. The one Sith girl was back with Cinder preparing for phase two of Cider's plan. Emily agreed to helping Cinder but we're still the poor sap doing the heavy lifting, literally.

"Crystal clear." Sigma said. "Now to our understanding, White Fang spies have confirmed there is an android in Vale, one that can produce an 'Aura'. Code named 'Penny'. What shall we do about her should she intervene?"

"Kill her, kidnap her, rip her limbs apart, sell her body parts for some cheap liquor. I don't care what you do with the walking pile of nuts and bolts. Just keep her out of our hair if she shows up, by any means necessary." Torchwick said. Maine's hand went to the AI capture unit on his belt and growled happily as he pat it. He made from spare parts lying around the Fang's main base, with Delta's help of course. "That's what I like you Meta, you follow orders without question and ask none of your own."

I can't watch this any more, I don't want to know anything else that they are planning. I disappeared from his shoulder and into Maine's mind. Beta showed me how to do it after Maine picked her up. His mind was just so dark and gloomy. Dead trees as far as the eye could see, dried up leaves all across the ground and crunched under my foot steps. It's suppose to be Maine's home planet, or his last memory of it. I don't like it in here, it's way too depressing. But where else can I go, either in here where I can think of a way out or out there listening to them plan something highly illegal. I just sat down on a fallen log and let out a huff in defeat.

"Figured you'd come in here Theta." A female voice said from beside me. I didn't even look back to know it was Beta, or Tex as she likes to be called. "What's eating you up little brother?" She asked. We've all grown closer together since being stolen by the Meta. Tex has accepted her fate as an AI and mostly resides in here. Says it brings her peace. How can something like this bring one peace?

"Beta, I need some advice."

That's a wrap people. With season 3 under way, I will be accelerating the plot and chapter length to cover season 1 before season 3 comes out. I want your votes on something. Should I have this go an extra few dozen chapters to cover season 3 or end it at season 2. I honestly want to end this around season 2 but if the demand is high enough I'll continue through season 3.

I introduced a new character that has kind of always been here, she was just hiding in Maine's mind. I was debating to myself to either bring in Caboose or Tex to even the sides. Till I thought, Caboose will do more harm then good and will probably kill one of the main characters in the original plot line to try and 'help' them. If I'm to guess, Ruby or Jaune because he has a small tendency to kill his leader. Again and again and again.

I made two chapters for this, didn't like how the other one went so I deleted it and tried again. Plus you all didn't seem to like it, by the lack of views and reviews. Kept the first two pages but edited it enough to flow better and get in a bit more fluff and flesh out both Johnathan's and Velvet's pasts a bit. Again we know next to nothing about Velvet so I'm using my imagination and going from there.

Next chapter will be a huge turning point in the story, I dropped a few hints on what will happen in the next chapter. Going to make it as big, if not bigger, the the monster of a chapter the last fighting one was. This is the Meta we're talking about, the scariest fucking mute in all of Roaster Teeth, on par with Neo of course. He won't go down easy and not without busting a few heads open. I'm re watching the episode to be sure I get it right. Keeping an eye on areas I can change a bit or have flow with the plot. There will be a funeral within the next two chapter. Won't say for who, but someone is going to die. That is all I can say without spoiling it.

Well I am done for right now. Time to hand this off to my wizard for a Beta and let his do his magic. See you all next chapter where I wrap up season one. Please leave a Review on what you like about the story so far or what could be changed to make it better. See you all next chapter.
