Chapter 25

A child's wish

Week 9: Day 66

(Theta's POV)

The past month has been interesting. The Spartan is a major upgrade from the Meta. For one, she doesn't kill everything around her. She actually listens to me and my siblings, and even goes as far as to attempt to sing me to 'sleep' after a 'nightmare' about North's death. I still love it when Rhody sings 'you are my sunshine' to me, but I can't help but feel sad about everything we've lost. But I am happy to have found Ohio, Rhody, and Mu again. It feels good to be reunited with my big sister again.

Right now Alice was in the headmaster's office with his blonde friend who I think is named Glynda. My siblings and I were all on Alice's shoulder, well all but Delta and Penny. Penny was in Alice's scroll right now talking to Delta about her world. Those two have grown rather close over the past month. Outside the window near the docks were dozens of transport ships from Atlas dropping people off, and Penny's new body. Well discretely offloading it. to the normal bystander she would look like a normal Atlas student with a few armed guards. Can easily mistaken her for Ironwood's daughter. Freelancer's ship was still bigger then most the vesicle outside, probably better armed as well. I'm not sure, never seen one of those transport ships in combat so I can't tell.

"Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels." Glynda observed as Alice stood beside her to look out. "It's a little much for a friendly visit, he doesn't need to bring his massive army, won't you agree Alice?"

"It's tiny compared to the size of Reach's defense fleet back home, or Earth's for that matter. Mostly comprised of Orbital defense platforms, but still can pack one hell of a punch. But yes it is a bit overkill for a simple trip to across a continent or ocean, it's like he's expecting a massive war. Which is smart to prepare for in a time of peace like this. For when war does break out, he'll be ready to end it quickly and with as few casualties as possible." Alice spoke holding her helmet to her side. Glynda raised an eyebrow at Alice who continued to stare out at the fleet. "As quoted by George Washington, 'Preparing for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace'. Being ready to combat a serious threat at a moments notice is a must in peace times. Another quote from the ancient Roman empire my instructor made sure I memorized and understood clearly, 'Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum', which translates to 'If you want peace, prepare for war'. Because if there's one thing I learned, it's that there will always be someone out there somewhere training to kill you. No matter what the circumstances are. What we do till then is up to us. We can either prepare for the worst and be ready for when it strikes, or pretend that peace will be permanent and continue out our lives like nothing will ever happen. My siblings in arms and I are living proof of that."

"That may be true Spartan, but if one prepares for war too well, they're going to get one and it will be bloody in the end. Best to prepare for one tactfully if they must." Ozpin chimed in his two cents.

"But war against what is a completely different story. As far as I can tell your world is still at war, but in the shadows. Against a White Fang splinter cell if I am correctly informed." She replied. "Thing about extremist terror groups is, they're like a cancer that can blend in with the general population, show up to raise all sorts of hell then leave like a whisper. Making it difficult to tell who's friendly and who's out to get you. Extremely tricky to fight in urban environments and even harder to take out completely. Cut off the head of the snake and another pops up with even worse venom than the last. It makes it impossible to eliminate extremist threats without civilian casualties; which in turns fuels more groups to pop up as well. Insurrectionists proved that point pretty damn well. We killed one of their leaders, and an even nastier one came into power, but with a thirst for vengeance. It just all depends on how you view the world."

"Glad to know that the resident super soldier agrees with me on that." A new voice spoke out as the elevator opened up. Walking out was someone high up in military command by the way he dresses and holds himself. Coal black hair with some areas graying up with age, blue eyes battle hardened on par with a high ranking general. Well dressed and clean white overcoat with a gray undershirt and red tie. His attire and walk screamed he was high up in the world and to be respected. The small metal strip above his right eye seemed to be embedded into his skin. White gloves covering his hands with an intricately designed revolver. Beside him was a robotic being walking beside him. It looked a lot like Penny used to. Same basic outfit, same freckled face, same everything. Only difference between her old body and this robot is the eyes. This one's were cold and lacked any emotion or soul. Like it was an empty shell of a being whose sole purpose in life is to serve its master. Alice stood to attention as he entered the room. Back straightened, feet together, hand on her head in a salute. "At ease soldier." Alice eased up as Penny and Delta decided to pop up beside Ozpin, suspiciously close together. I may not be the fragment for love, but I think Delta might like Penny. Eta and Iota looked at one another confused.

"Who the hell are you?" Tex asked popping up beside him.

"I believe this is General Ironwood. Though records show that he's also the headmaster at Atlas Academy, the same one Agent's Ohio and Rhode Island supposedly transferred from." Delta informed as he flashed to Ironwood's other side. "I can only assume that he's also here to inspect Ohio and Rhode Island's combat efficiency some time soon. It would be the logical thing to do, he is risking a lot lying about them. So it makes sense on why he would want to inspect their combat prowess and how they operate. They are technically representing his academy after all. . . ."

"Delta, remember the talk we had a week ago about over analyzing everything? I think you should consider taking that advice." Tex explained inspecting the female android. "Little small if you ask me, not exactly my first choice for a body. But it will have to do. I call dibs on it."

"What!" Eta yelled floating by Glynda's side. "What makes you think that this body is for you anyway? The rest of us would like to be able to walk around for a change, dammit!"

"Yeah, you can't call dibs on a body. It has to be decided with a majority vote." Iota replied flashing over to her.

"Iota, we'd all vote for ourselves, so what would be the point in voting for it." Tex said.

"Who said the body is for us anyway? Doubt he even knew we wanted one as well. Hell, I'd be impressed if he even knew we existed before hand." Iota informed from Glynda's right.

"Are they always like this?" Ironwood asked pointing to the fight between Eta, Iota and Tex. Glynda shrugged her shoulders as Alice held her head. The poor girl must be having a headache. Well she does technically have five more voices in her head than what is physically comfortable. I'm being smart and staying quiet. The last thing I want to do is to hurt her even more.

"Unfortunately, this is normal. It's when they're quiet and agreeing you'll need to begin worrying. That is when we're at our most dangerous. Casual bickering is quite normal among us." Mu said popping in from Ozpin's computer table. "Good afternoon. May I interest Miss Goodwitch in some stress relief music? Agent Ohio has a entire playlist dedicated to relieve stress. I better warn you that it's heavy metal and Rock. Not for the faint of heart." Mu asked with a smile.

"MU! I missed you!" I yelled tackling my big sister to the ground in a hug. Forget staying quiet, I love my big sister and don't want her to go again. "I missed you so much big sister. I missed you, I missed you, I missed you!"

"I missed you too Theta, even though it's only been an hour since I left." She replied softly patting my back.

"To be fair Mu, you did leave us for over three years. Two of which he spent with the Meta. So it's fair to say he kinda likes you." Delta informed. "Even though technically we're not siblings, but instead fragments of the same AI and . . . ."

"Delta, could you and your siblings leave us for a bit. There's a few things we'd like to discuss privately right now. We'll install Penny into her new body later. Let her have time to say good bye to you all, get her affairs straightened out before we put her back." Ozpin asked putting his coffee cup down. "I believe 'Freelancer' is having a party for Elaia down in the cafeteria. Why don't you go with them Alice, you can use a bit of time off. I know holding back as much as you need to can be exhausting. Especially in that style of armor."

Time off would be really good right now. I've always wanted to go to a real party. The only parties we had at Freelancer was when Rhode could convince enough people to throw one. Even Carolina joined in on planning Ohio's birthday party. It was kind of funny watching her trying to bake a cake, not exactly her greatest skill but she tried. It came out like a vanilla scented brick. Rhody stepped in and showed her how to make it right. I think Ohio said Rhody are making her famous Summer peach cake with honey glazed icing. Something she said her mother taught her how to make before the Human-Covenant war ravaged her world. Alice gave him a salute as she walked in the elevator and hit the ground floor button. The other AI and I followed her into the elevator. Mu just flashed away from the computer table as the doors closed and strained to lower us. Penny popped up on Alice's shoulder right beside Delta.

"Delta was telling me about Reach, he said it was almost as beautiful as I am. Is it really? " Penny replied smiling away. Is she sure we're thinking the same Delta, as in my older brother? As far as I know, Delta isn't romantic at all. He's the more logical one of the family. If anyone came off as the romantic aspect of Alpha, it would be Mu. Though she has spent three years alongside Ohio. So she had to have changed a bit since Freelancer. We've all changed since Freelancer in some ways.

"It was a thousand times more beautiful and breathtaking then anything I've seen on this world. I spent most of my childhood on it's surface training to be the best I can. I would love to go back if I could. Just to see it one more time." Alice replied.

"What happened, Why can't you go back?" Penny asked.

"In the summer of 2552, our universe time, Reach was found by the Covenant and later destroyed. Recovered records from Freelancer HQ indicate it was partially glassed. Very few survived that devastating loss. Nearly all the SPARTAN super soldiers died defending it, which comprised of several surviving SPARTAN II, dozens SPARTAN III fire teams, as well as countless Marines and ODST squads. Not to mention the hundreds of millions of civilian lives lost as well. Plus countless amounts of . . . ." Delta replied.

"Delta, a simple 'It's been burned to ashes' would be easier. No need to rub salt in the wound." Tex interrupted. Alice was visibly angered by that remark, her right hand clenching up in a fist showed evidence of that. I can tell it was a sensitive subject to her. It makes sense why; Reach was the only place she could call home for the longest time, the only place she probably felt accepted after her augmentation. I feel sorry for her, hearing her home got destroyed and with Tex being so blunt about it doesn't help too much.

"Technically it wasn't all burned to ash. Small parts of Reach still remained habitable after it all. It is possible to reclaim the planet through terraforming. It would take several decades but it is possible." Delta informed shining a bit of light on the dreary subject. Alice took a few deep breaths as the doors opened and she threw her helmet on. I hope Elaia is enjoying her birthday.

"Wait a second, we're going to a birthday party. Shouldn't we bring her a gift of some sort?" I asked.

"Um well . . . . shit." Tex replied.

(Johnathan's POV)

" . . . . happy birthday Elaia, happy birthday to you." Rhode sang as she walked into the room, holding a peach flavored cake she made herself, with seven lit candles on top. My special dish was already half gone on the table beside us, roasted Troodon. Well seasoned and well prepared. Cole picked me up and we went to the Jurassic park universe before anyone woke up. Port came along as well for the thrill of the hunt and to keep him quiet from mentioning this small road trip. It was a pain getting this delicious little bastard in the kitchen. She knew I was hunting her, and spent over two hours turning a simple hunt into a wild goose chase. Every shot I took, she ran off as soon as my finger even touched the trigger. Finally managed to kill the jerk when we trapped her in a snare. Quick slash with my energy sword painlessly took it's head off. Skinned and cleaned it there. On another note, Coco now has a one of a kind Troodon skin belt. To pay off the debt I owe her. Also everyone gets to try an extinct animal that never naturally existed in this world. I was sure to cut out the venomous glands and organs. No I fed the organs to a nest of sleeping raptors. Venom glands I got locked up in a freezer. I can name a million different situation where a neurotoxin will come in handy. Bones I gave to Port for him to have on display for one of his many stories for class. He was a rather adapt tracker and loved it in the Jurassic park universe. Aside from the Rex nest, we slowly backed away from there and got the hell out of there as quick as we could. Rather not deal with another Rex anytime soon. Way too majestic to kill in cold blood, yet too dangerous to keep as a pet. Since it was only a short portal trip, Cole should be alright for now. Can't ask him to force a connection too many times. No, last time was stretching it. At least three times in less than an hour. No that's too much for the poor guy. Well he did pass out when we exited the portal. Port was kind enough to act as the designated pack mule while I hunted.

I've outdone myself this time with the dish. The sample I sliced off tasted superb. Splash of mango juice, dry rub of assorted herbs and spices, slow cooked over the course of the past eight hours to be sure the flavor soaks through all the way. It was done and done right. I don't want to poison my baby girl or my friends. Tastes a bit like chicken, only it is rather. . . . chewy when done wrong. Rosa and Azula got a special treat today in Azula's cage. Gave them two large sides of beef. They did not complain and jumped after the meat. Can't risk Azula hurting anyone. She may have calmed down since last month, but she is far from party ready. Rosa I know won't try anything . . . well she may drink the punch dry. That crazy raptor loves her sweets. I need to lock the refrigerator at night to be sure.

We were in a corner of the cafeteria with teams RWBY, JNPR, and CFVY. The other students were smart and let us have our small celebration. Cardin and his team ran away from Elaia the second they saw her. Guess they don't want a replay of last week. Even Oobleck joined in on the party. He brought Elaia a small globe of Remnant. Saying education at such a young age is extremely important. That reminds me, I'm going to have to think of enrolling her into school here if I should even consider thinking about staying long term. I heard Signal is a good school. Ruby and Yang went there, so it can't be too bad right. I can't teach her everything and even Mu has her limits. I'll look into that later, just in case.

Blake's gift to her was interesting, a pink bow clip that just happened to fit perfectly behind one of her ears. Coco got her a pair of sunglasses, last minute gift on her way to the party. Ruby and Nora combined their money to give her a weapon from this world. Some type of blue and gray Dust revolver (kind of like a .45 magnum with blades on the side) that transformed into a mace like thing. They said it was between that or a piston gauntlet design similar to Yang's 'Ember Celica'. Not sure which will be better for her yet at the same time easier for her to get use to. It is getting put up till she knows the basics of weapon safety and maintenance. So I need to teach her how to fight with it and maintain it. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later, might as well start while she has ambition to learn. Elaia said she'll name it something like Suvulaan Kun. Dusk's light in Dovah-Zul, or Dragon language I think. No idea where she learned that, maybe Mu taught her a little while I was away. Weiss was rather generous and got her a 'Dust for beginners' book. According to Weiss, it's so she's safe around dust; and knows not to sneeze and blast someone into a crater. She refuses to tell me why she specifically mentioned the last part. Ruby just giggled like a madwoman, and refused to mention why as well. I got a good idea on what happened now.

Ren was a lot more . . . reasonable with his gift then his partner. He got Elaia a nice pair of slippers with a small pair of cat ears on them. Pyrrha and Jaune both worked together to get Elaia a gray and blue hoodie that fits her perfectly. Apparently it's a lot like Jaune's and has bits of armor pieces sewn into it. I can't even tell that they're there. Some type of microfiber flexible Kevlar nano-weave. Not too heavy, she can walk around with it perfectly fine. I won't argue, as long as she loves it and they put thought into it. Fox got her a coloring book and crayons, Velvet warned me that he is terrible with gifts. I don't think he's bad with gifts. Elaia needs something fun to do while I'm in class. I honestly think he chose well. Yatsuhashi got Elaia an antique tea set. I'll show her how to brew tea. Dad taught Serena and I a recipe Mom use to make him. Well Elaia became a Grey when I adopted her, so it's my responsibility to pass down to her what my Father taught me.

Rhody's gift to her was a beautiful amber hairband. Suits Elaia rather well, keeps her fur out of her eyes and matches them as well. Serena's gift was simple and straightforward, a scroll so we can keep track of her. Just like what everyone else here has. Serena downloaded a few episodes of SpongeBob from her helmet to keep her occupied when I'm in class, plus a few episodes of the loony toons. Velvet brought her 'Remnant: The game' and will show her how to play. I think I saw Ruby and Yang try to play it earlier today. Seems like a strategy game like civilization or something. Cole gave her a spell tome from Skyrim. Healing hands I think it is, novice restoration spell. I won't argue, except for the fact that the book kind of incinerated itself and made Elaia's head hurt a bit. On the plus side, she knows how to heal people now. We'll work on her magica levels later, I'm not going to be shot in the knee with an arrow any time soon. He was kind of relaxing on a chair leaning against a wall. Me; I got her the book I fought for yesterday, as well as a fishing pole and tackle box. I promised her I'd teach her how to fish over the weekend.

Elaia smiled as Rhode walked into the room. Nora was kind of off to the side blowing a noise maker with Ruby. The two really loved to party. Yang even offered to blow up the balloons. I was beside Elaia in my armor. I learned my lesson after yesterday, I'm not going anywhere without it. Everyone was happy and proud for Elaia, despite only knowing her a month. I'm glad she's enjoying herself here. Velvet was smiling away beside me as I quickly snuck a cheek kiss in on her. Elaia looked back real quick at me.

"Make a wish sweetie." I replied smirking like a idiot as Rhode set the cake on the table. Elaia smiled and faced the cake in front of her. She closed her eyes for a bit before whispering one word toward the candles. I should have figured she'd try this.

"Fus." She whispered. Just enough force from the whisper passed over the candles to extinguish them. If I remember correctly, one of the Greybeards said that she can control how much force or effect a shout can have. Just takes lots of practice and training. Apparently she got it just right on her first time trying it . . . . that I know of. For all I know, Mu could have been trying to work with her on her shouts. Doubtful considering Mu isn't familiar with the Thu'um or Skyrim laws of physics. Rhode chuckled as she cut and passed out the cake. I must say, it is quite delicious.

"So what did you wish for?" Yang asked breaking the ice as everyone ate their cake.

"I can't tell, otherwise it won't come true." She replied, thanking Rhode for the slice of cake after words. I still remember the first birthday party Serena and I threw for her. Balloons everywhere, streamers galore, and a ton of sweet rolls I 'borrowed' from the Windhelm guard barracks while they had me under questioning for my gear. One accidentally shot another's pinkie toe off with my pistol. Humorously their names were Church and Caboose. It's like I can't escape them, no matter where I go.

Doubt they remember me, spent all of ten minutes in Windhelm, and most of that was just to resupply before heading back to Solitude with the Khajiit trade caravan. They offered to take care of Elaia for me when they heard her story, I politely declined their offer. Yes it would be good for her in the long run to be raised by members of her own species, but I came to grow attached to the little bundle of fur and energy. That and I shudder to think at what they would do with her power. No, I don't trust anyone in her world to take care of her. I firmly believe most would try to use her power for personal gain. Windhelm guards gave me no trouble. Of course I am over seven foot tall, with armor and weapons they never seen or heard of before. So I wouldn't even piss me off by pointing out that the Khajiit child isn't allowed in the city. Now that would be just plain rude.

"Let me guess, you wished for a real unicorn?" Nora replied with her mouth full of cake.

"Nope." Elaia replied in the cutest tone I ever heard. I can get her a real unicorn if she wanted one. I know plenty of places with them wondering about. Not it's a matter if I'm willing to go back to those places without throwing up. Never going back to that talking pony world, not as long as I live and then some. Not without a life-or-death type of reason.

"Lifetime supply of cookies?" Ruby asked.

"Nope, try again." She replied in the same tone only with a mouth full of cake.

"A new Thu'um shout?" Mu asked popping up on my shoulder. NO! No more shouts till she learns to use the two she has already properly . First word of 'Storm call' is bad enough, I don't even dare imagine her with any worse. Especially 'fire breath'! I prefer this place to NOT be in cinders. Okay maybe two words for 'Ice form' so she has a better option to defend herself with.

"Close." She replied swallowing her mouth full of cake.

"Come on, you can tell me. I'll make sure daddy would make it come true." Velvet bribed. Oh no, don't start the double teaming on me. I can't say no to either when they give the puppy dog eyes. My only weakness . . . . that and meat. Juicy, tender, well cooked meat. What ever her wish was, it can't be too bad. I looked over to find Cole softly snoring as I took a drink of my pop. Everyone else was still going about their normal party business.

"I want to go see the Blue palace, back in Skyrim." She confessed. I nearly did a spit take after hearing that. Did she say Skyrim? Same Skyrim that is full of dragons, bandits around every corner, and multiple factions that hate my guts? Blue Palace I can handle, as long as there is no Thalmor around.

"What's the Blue Palace?" Ruby asked innocently.

"It's where the High Queen of Skyrim lives, I think. Umm. . . . Elaia is there anywhere other then there you want to visit." I asked.

"Markarth." She replied without missing a beat smiling.

"The city made of stone, with forsworn attacks always looming, with a million and one guards who hate my guts." I asked in a deadpan. Markarth, even worse. All I'm willing to state why it's worse, stone beds. Enough said there. My back hurt like hell for weeks. Plus the guards don't like me too much, kind of pissed them off by blowing up half a cliff face. Hey, a dragon was attacking. It needed to be killed quickly, my railgun was all I had with the range at the time. I accidentally went through the dragon and hit the cliff, destroying a few market stalls and killing fifteen people. Not my best moment, but I'll admit to it when asked. Till then, I'm shutting up.

"Yep, I always wanted to visit the temple of Talos there. Can we go, please?" She asked. We got a small problem with that. . . . okay several.

A. It's in a completely different universe

B. Our only way there is asleep in a chair.

C. I'm sure the Thalmor have an ambush waiting for Talos worshipers there. I can promise that, I can also promise I will make Chaurus chow out of their mangled hides if they dare harm a hair on Elaia's head.

Well, Velvet did say she'll make sure I made Elaia's wish come true. How I'm going to grant this one will be tricky. Last year she wanted to learn 'Unrelenting Force'. Small chat with the Greybeards and a deal was made. They taught her the shout, I had to recover an artifact for them. Drauger are not so bad, once you got energy swords they are easy as pie. Well, if we're going to wake Cole up, might as well bring the Teacher. He'll probably want to join the party.

"MU! I missed you!" I heard someone shout again. I looked right to find Theta tackling Mu to the ground with a hug. He really loves his big sister now doesn't he. Wait a second, if Theta is here, then the SPARTAN is close by. I quickly looked toward the door to find the soldier in question walking through with a crudely wrapped olive green box. Must have been a last second gift on the way here.

"Happy birthday kid." Alice said handing Elaia the box. Elaia thanked her and begun to unwrap the box. Under the wrapping paper was a blue box. Elaia quickly took the top off to find a small silver dragon shaped necklace inside, gold chain with blue sapphires as the eyes. The dragon's wings were wrapped around a pearl that was colored to look like Reach, before the Covennt got a hold of it.

"It's beautiful" Ruby replied looking awestruck at it. I don't blame her, that thing must be worth a pretty penny. Where in the hell did the Spartan get that? Last I checked, ONI didn't pay them that much or at all. Just imagine how set the Chief would be if he got paid, or any of the surviving Spartan IIs. Saving the human race would amount to a rather large paycheck. At least eight figures, if not more. Talk about retiring in complete comfort. I pity the poor man who thinks stealing from them would be a good idea. Nope, one way ticket to hell. I almost feel even worse for the politician planning to cut their benefits and well deserved paycheck.

"It belonged to a young mother during the invasion of Arcadia, she gave it to me to thank me for saving her child before she passed moments later from her injuries. The child was healthy and alive. I personally saw his evacuation off the planet. Kept it to remind me what I fought for back home. Since I can't go back any time soon, guess you'll have to be the one to have it." She informed as Elaia ran up and hugged her leg.

"I love it. Thank you." She thanked as the Spartan pat her head a bit. Mu was kind of busy trying to wiggle out of Theta's death hug. Eta and Iota were busy laughing away at their older siblings while beside Jaune and Pyrrha. Delta and Penny were standing beside Ruby chatting a bit. Only one I can't find is Tex, haven't talked to her much in the past month. We don't exactly see eye-to-eye on a few things. Cole actively avoided her at all costs. A plasma grenade to the crotch would be a good reason to stay away. Thank god he's Deadpool's son. . . . . . . well I think he is Deadpool's boy. Which Deadpool I have no idea. All of them might have like dozens of kids they doesn't even know about.

"Alright, I got two Hog's all gassed up and ready to go. One's got a chain gun, the other with extra seats. Who has shotgun? Who has gunner? We're going to Skyrim. Let's hope we don't run into any dragons while we're there." Cole announced as he walked through the door. Wait a second . . . isn't he asleep on the chair. "Whoops, can't forget my stand in dummy for plot convenience and stuff." He said to no one in particular as he picked up himself from the chair like he was a giant blow up doll and tried to shove himself in his bottomless backpack. I forget he was a bit crazy, calls himself a 'fourth wall breaker'. Then again, few days, let alone years in the 'Black' would make anyone go insane. He's the only one I know who's been into the 'Black' and come back. He's only done it once, and said never again after eating my entire fridge clean as well as my pantry. He has an appetite worse then mine, that alone says a lot. Considering I can eat a pasture worth of meat and still be hungry.

"We're really going to Skyrim?" Elaia asked as her eyes glimmered with joy.

"That's what you said you wanted. Now what kind of family friend would I be if I didn't let the birthday girl have her wish? That and I haven't kicked any butt in at least a month. . . unless you guys wanna call my epic one liner slash distraction on Grumpy McSplitlips my kill?" He replied jumping on his own head to get his dummy into the backpack. "All though I would bring Caboose's intelligent double with us. He'd love Markarth, even if the beds are horridly uncomfortable. Maybe the lovable idiot as well. He'll love it there, tons of beautiful girls your age in distress and in need of a valiant savior. No offense blondie, but you need a girlfriend big time. Snow queen over there obviously isn't interested and poor P . . . . ." He managed to squeeze out before Serena sprayed him with a spray bottle full of vinegar. Unfortunately he has a severe allergy to water. As in he explodes if he so much as touches the stuff. He is usually back within a week or two, sometimes the next day if he's lucky. Apparently it's a small side effect to his Nanites and portal making stone, forget the name of it. At least that is what he tells me.

"No spoilers! We don't need to mess their event-line more than we already have, you know what can happen." She informed spraying him some more. The Event-line, I completely forgot about that little shit. Basically when something major happens in a universe, it will happen no matter what. Like if someone important is supposed to die, they'll die. Or if two people were meant to hook up, they'll hook up. There is no way to stop it, there is no way to change it, I can delay the inevitable but not for long. Let's say that someone here was suppose to die, I can delay it for a while but they will die by the same killer's hand. All I can do is prepare for it, one of the many reasons why I hate my luck. Why do I have a feeling that Serena isn't telling me something? Would Velvet's suicide attempt Monty showed me be apart of the event line or not? I need to know this crap GOD DAMN IT!

"Ahh, ahh. Okay okay. I won't spoil anything else. Please stop making me smell like french fries! I can't take a shower like you mere mortals." He complained trying to block the spray bottle from my terrifying sister.

"Wait, so we're really going to Elaia's home world. He's serious?" Ruby asked as her eyes lit up with joy.

"You bet your cute little hood on it, exact same universe and all but the Hogs' can only hold seven. Me, Johnny, and Elaia are going, so that's four spots left. I better warn you all; there will be cut throat bandits, fire and ice shouting dragons, surprisingly cuddly zombies, and death is a very real possibility. Did I forget that danger is around every corner and that the area is locked in a massive and bloody civil war. Anyone still brave enough to go?" He asked grabbing the spray bottle from Serena's hands. His normal cheerful and carefree personality vanishing "I'll give you all a bit to debate on who's going before deciding." He informed chucking the spray bottle out an open window. He's serious, Cole is seriously going to take us to Skyrim. I have no doubt these guys can handle a common bandit or even a few drauger, but a dragon would be pushing it. The Thalmor will surely remember me, I left a lasting impression on them. I can't promise all their safety, but I can promise that it would be an adventure. In life, that's what it's all about. The destination is not what matters, it's what you do that leads up to it that does. I pray that there are no dragons waiting for us there.

"Where the hell is Roman, shouldn't he have been here by now?" Emerald asked kicking a can down the deserted building of Mountain Glenn. Mercury was at a table trying to chip the purple goop off his boot gun. Neo managed to untie herself and was polishing her umbrella blade. They've been here for almost a day and still haven't heard a single word on Roman or the Meta. Both Emerald and Mercury looked a lot better than they were yesterday. Small packs of beowolf grimm wandered the streets below, looking for their next victim.

"From what Sigma described, the Mech they're after is under heavy security. So I wouldn't be surprised to find them covered in blood when they get back." Mercury responded chipping off the final bit of goo from his boot.

"This is the Meta we're talking about. The same man who hijacked an Atlas shipping freighter full of dust and weapons single handed. Plus who knows what else." Emerald informed.

"Maybe they got lost and made a wrong turn somewhere." Gamma replied popping up on Neo's shoulder.

"Not likely Gary. He has Sigma with him, he can't get lost." Omega said popping up on Emerald's shoulder. "I can't believe he left us here. A freaking Metal Gear is the perfect host for us. At least we can have some fun with that. I got a long list of places I want to nuke here. "

"Omega, please don't . . . " Gamma squeezed out before a monstrous portal erupted down the street, easily as big as a building and twice as wide. The ground shook as a massive, bipedal, walking tank of a machine ran out of the portal. Monstrous sized gun hanging off it's right side, large dome on it's left, hammerhead shaped beak like cockpit, navy battleship grey all over with areas of red splattered around the feet. Gatling guns and missile launchers under the cockpit, laser weapon under the bulge of the cockpit. The thing looked ready to ruin any one's day, or make it a lot more gun. Maine was holding on for dear life as he held on to the massive machine's left arm thing. The Grimm were smart and ran like hell away from the monstrous machine. One poor Grimm didn't move in time as it got stepped on by it's massive foot. Each footstep the machine made cracked the asphalt beneath it. The front spikes on it's feet impaled themselves into the ground to slow down. It slammed into the side of a building and made it collapse under it's weight.

"Hello kiddies, did you miss us?" Roman asked through the radio as the cockpit on the thing opened up and it knelled to the ground. Jumping out of it was the Roman dusting himself off as the Meta let go, landing on his own two feet. Wobbling a bit from the joyride he's been on. Emerald and Mercury ran down to see the machine. Neo calmly walked down from her steel garter. "Meta, I could kiss you right now if I didn't value my own life. That was well worth all the trouble you've given me the past week and a half." Roman replied falling on his ass as Neo helped him up. He was laughing like a maniac as he looked back at his prize. "That was the best side heist I could have asked for. Not only did we get the giant killing machine and come back alive, but we snagged a few warheads for it as well. I forgive you for stealing my cigar, take the whole damn box next time if it means a job go this smoothly. This is going to be a lot of fun, who are we going to nuke first? I'm eager to test this bad boy out."

"Patience Roman. We need support first before we even think of launching a nuclear strike against anyone. The Metal Gear can only do so much alone." Sigma replied moving from the machine to the Meta again as the portal closed behind him.

"What in Monty's name is that thing?" Emerald asked looking at the massive machine with wide eyes. Sigma smiled as he flashed over to her shoulder. The Meta grabbed Roman by his back and lifted him back up. He was going to answer but someone beat him to it.

"That my sweet Emerald is a Metal Gear REX, and I have full intentions on using it." Emily replied stepping out of the shadows. "I see this heist was a success. Cinder will be pleased to hear you finally got something right Roman."

"Hey, the last heist failed because your ex and his pets interfered. How can I plan ahead for them when I know next to nothing on what he's capable of." Roman complained.

"YOU don't plan ahead for him, that is my job. Your new job is to rally support and raise hell. Cinder expects you to do so for the White fang at their next meeting. They're starting to grow restless and annoyed with our plan." She replied holding her hands on her hips, close to her lightsabers.

"And how the hell do you expect me to do that. Last I checked I'm human, they hate humans more then the Meta hates Neo right now." He informed crossing his arms. Emily smiled as she tilted her head to the machine beside him. He looked left and connected the dots and shook his head. "I see what you mean. So we're nuking the Schnee dust company HQ first? Just give me the word and they'll be off the map for good."

"I was thinking their mansion, sends a message that no one is safe in this world anymore. But only if you do it at the support rally. When the Faunus see the Fang has this type of firepower under their control, they'll join for a chance at revenge at the Schnee family." She replied walking off. "Oh, and do hide that thing for right now. The Vale and Atlas military would be all over it if they saw that."

That's a wrap people. After a small debate in my head, I decided to go for the REX instead of EXCELSUS. Simplify because I like the design of the REX a whole lot better and from a practical standpoint, the REX is easier to hide and steal then EXCELSUS. plus it is pretty badass. Ray I don't like too much. I won't say why so I don't start a flame war in the review section.

Next chapter we'll be going into the world of Skyrim. I already know who's all going along. I will not spoil anything, but I will say one of the supporting RWBY characters will be lost in Skyrim. Which one I won't tell so I'll let you all guess. Now to reply to a few reviews.

BlazefireDrago- Yes a Metal Gear, and it's Rex as well. Cinder's side just got a lot more interesting.

That's it, I'm turning this over to my Beta to work his magic. Hope he got a good night's sleep. The insanity train has left the station and there are no brakes on this ride.

Happy B-day Elaia you fuzzy little firebomb! Lord be with your adopted parents when you hit puberty… oh geez has she hit puberty yet? (Dgreen; Nope, not yet), I hope not. Anyway sorry for the late beta read. I had to borrow my mom's pc to do this. And spoiler alert! There will be dragons. You don't go to Skyrim and not see a freakin' dragon or twelve, not confirmed but unless Dgreen is planning on being a troll and not putting some dragons in (Dgreen; there will be dragons and a few fights) … I'm probably tempting fate here so I'm not saying anything else. goodnight , day, or whatever time it is when this is being read…
