Harry wasn't sure who rushed to him faster, Dumbledore, Bill, Charlie, Hagrid, Hermione, or Andromeda. All he knew that after he exited the arena he was bombarded with many questions all at once. Almost too much.
"Harry! What did you do with that Dragon?" Dumbledore though he seemed like he was trying to remain calm was clearly more exasperated then he actually was.
"Harry, How did the dragon get past the wards?" The eldest Weasley boy spoke up as he rushed through.
"Harry! Are you alright?!" Hermione's voice spoke almost the clearest out of all of them to him.
"How did you fix those eggs?!" Charlie demanded but his eyes showed signs of appreciation.
"Harry! Could you 'each me 'ow you did that?" Hagrid almost seemed to beg.
Then finally there was Andromeda who did not ask questions but stuck out her wand causing a barrier to appear around Harry and expanded to push everyone, bar Hermione due to how she seemed to be the only one acting calmly, back as she stopped beside them.
"One at a bloody time please!" Andromeda huffed as she stayed in between them and Harry who after being surprised by the forceful nature of everyone had reached out and taken Hermione's hand, though neither noticed.
"Balls to your bloody one at a time shit! I wanna know how he got past my ward scheme for the dragon?! Nothing living or nonliving should have been able to gone past the arena once the dragon and competitor was placed!" William exclaimed.
"William my boy-"
"What do you mean no one would be able to enter?" Hermione asked concerned as she felt the beginnings of her blood boiling if what she thought he meant was true.
"I specifically made those wards so no being could have outside interference for their part of the competition." William huffed out. "Nothing from a pebble to the dragon itself would be able to enter or leave."
"What?!" A new voice could be heard as a member of the dragon keepers came over and swung a punch colliding with Bill's cheek sending him to the floor. "Bastard!" As Charlie grabbed him.
"No, Aleksander!"
"That bastard put my cousin in a cage with a nesting mother and had no plan if emergency help was needed!" The man named Aleksander yelled and struggled to go for another hit despite having Dumbledore in between them and Hagrid holding William by the arm.
"Your cousin? Mr…." Dumbledore asked.
"Viktor, Headmaster Dumbledore." Aleksander huffed out.
"Ah forgive me, I was unaware that Champion Krum had a family member involved in the set up." Charlie was whispering in the man's ear and Harry noticed how Aleksander's shoulders began to drop and he let loose a breath of hot air.
"Mr. Krum, however, has an excellent point, Headmaster." Andromeda spoke up. "How was the safety of the competitors guaranteed with these kinds of wards in place?"
"The wards were designed with their safety in mind. As you know anyone could have casted a spell and interfered in their challenge."
"But what of the danger from the dragon?"
"She has a point, Dumbledore." Madame Maxime spoke up and towered over them all as she had made her way there. "How did this not come up in the meetings about the challenges?"
"Dear Madam, everything will be fine." Dumbledore attempted to placate her.
"Either way I will be sending word to Gringotts about the endangerment of the ward scheme designed and will be filing endangerment of a minor, and endangerment of persons lawsuits against William Weasley with the Ministry, and the Ministry of Magic with the ICW. Hogwarts will be under both." Andromeda stood front and center.
"Andromeda, my girl…do you truly believe this is-"
"It is to you."
"Besides you can not as it was necessary under contract as the ancient rules of the Triwizard Tournament dictate. If we did not we would have been in breach of contract so you must see that although it was an unintended side effect it was still necessary and was why it was not discussed." Dumbledore defended causing Andromeda to pause and scowl at the truth in his words.
"Balls…" She muttered under her breath. Harry sighed and he looked around noticing the other champions had come as well and the other judges before he spotted Krum in particular whispering angrily to his cousin. Wish I knew Bulgarian right about now, Harry thought for a moment before turning back.
"Now without any more interruptions let us gather for the rewarding ceremony for the First Task." Dumbledore led the group towards a stage so that everyone could see them to the mass cheering of all the schools.
"Sorry about the punch…" Aleksander spoke to Bill as they walked.
"…I get it. Family…" Bill stated but the brow of his was still furrowed. His voice was emboldened with a growl.
"Ladies and Gentlemen!" Dumbledore announced. "It is now time to reward all of the champions their points! Firstly, Harry-"
"Harrison"
"Harrison-what?"
"My first name is Harrison Professor. If this is an official function it should use my correct name." Harry corrected him watching the small almost unnoticed twitch in the eye of Albus.
"Very well, Harrison James Potter!" Dumbledore released his wand and flicked it to the air, shooting a ribbon into the air as it unwinded. Right as it was about to curve, fire ignited the ribbon dropping it to the ground causing everyone to stare at the spot in shock. "What is the meaning of this?!" Dumbledore voiced his annoyance. The roar of a fire caused the judges to turn and move as the old wooden magical creation known as the Goblet of Fire appeared from the stage by its own merits. "A prank, hm? By the Weasleys?" Dumbledore tried to explain before hearing laughter. Everyone turned to see it was one person who was laughing. Harry Potter.
He stopped when he finally noticed everyone staring at him. "You…" he paused to catch his breath a bit before wiping his eyes. "You're the one that declared what connection the Goblet had, Professor. "An Impartial Judge" that will call the tournament fairly and not dictate favoritism."
"We, Headmasters and Headmistress, are the judges along with Ludo here and Barty." He argued.
"No you are hosts, and participating parties of it. If you were to score it would cause them to lose their magic as it would be seen as interference from the schools." Andromeda grinned as she understood what Harry had realized.
"This is impossible…"
"Enough Dumbledore!" Igor snarled. "We have delayed enough as is. I will accept the ruling of the Goblet."
"As will Beauxbaton." Maxime announced. Seeing no way around it Dumbledore released a sigh seeing his power in the tournament diminish.
"Very well ... .As we were. The points for Harry-"
"Harrison."
"HARRISON James Potter…" Albus gritted his teeth. And the fire launched itself from the Goblet and spun, twisting in the air before twisting into a forty eight. Which caused the crowd to cheer aloud.
"Next Victor Krum!" Igor announced as the fire spun in a circle clearing itself before it swung to a stop and formed a forty five. Cheers went but also a few boos from the fact he was lower than Harry.
"Fleur Delacour!" Maxime stepped forward to yell. The fire did a backflip of sorts before it formed a forty two. Judging from Fleur's face she knew why…. And the singe on her blouse.
"And finally Cedric Diggory!" Ludo announced as the fire seemed to vibrate itself out of the shape and form a small ball before exploding out into a forty five as well. The crowds cheered as the ceremony came to an end, the fire returned to the Goblet and it faded back to where it had been.
"The Next Challenge shall be on the twenty fourth of February!" Dumbledore announced before he left the stage in a hurry while the crowds cheered for the champions. As the arena emptied the champions began to go their own ways, Harry heading down with the other three talking and laughing before he was tackled by a bushy haired missile.
"Harrison James Potter, don't you ever do something like that again!" Harry couldn't help but laugh at the way Hermione used his full name, that doesn't mean it didn't spook him slightly, since she now had the capability to hold that over his head.
"Do what again? Help a dragon?"
"Go near a bloody dragon!" Hermione glared at him as it was clear she had actually been worried for him, making his quip die on his tongue.
"Well I can't promise that Hermione…but I promise to be more careful."
She snorted into his chest. "You? Careful? Maybe once you're an old man."
Harry couldn't help the whisper in the back of his head of 'if I live that long' as he grinned down at her. "Oh that reminds me. Hermione, this is Victor and Fleur. "
"Bonjour Hermione."
"Yes indeed hello Herminny" Victor tried to say her name but clearly it didn't feel right on his tongue for some reason. Then again Harry saw how the famous quidditch player gave Hermione a once over, a pit formed in his stomach for some reason.
Nearby a red haired wizard hid behind a tent looking at the scene he knew he should go and apologize. It was his fault Harry wasn't prepared for this challenge. After all, he was sent letters by both of his brothers ahead of time about the tournament. Balls to what happened with the selection! In the end Harry had done more for him than even his own flesh and blood at times. He was about to step out when a thought trailed in his mind.
Turn away from them, now is not yet the time to apologize. Maybe he'll apologize first too.
This thought made sense. Afterall Harry had just been through a grueling task and most likely desired rest. Hell maybe Harry would be the first to apologize. Afterall it was the least he could do for everything Ron had done for him. Having his family all but adopt the great Harry Potter. Oh excuse him, Harrison Potter.
As the redhead turned to head back into the school he stumbled into Professor Dumbledore.
"Oh I am sorry Professor!" He exclaimed, wiping himself and Dumbledore off.
"No matter, young man." Dumbledore flicked his wrist inwardly knocking off any remaining dust with a small snap sound. "I take it you will be heading to the castle now that the task is done. From what I understand the Twins host a massive celebration for victories."
"I….don't wanna get anyone in trouble sir."
"Understood Young Ronald, my boy. Now up you go." Dumbledore watched as the lad headed up the hill only stopping to recheck his holster on his wrist to confirm all was well he smiled before heading up to the castle.
The party was as it always was one of the Weasley's grandest. Mountains of cake, flagons of pumpkin juice and butterbeer on every surface, Lee Jordan let fireworks free, and Dean Thomas had drawn banners depicting Harry lifting up eggs and baby horntails
surrounding him as the mother wrapped around him as if protecting its young. It called Harry "The Dragon Soothsayer".
"Wow this thing is heavy!" Lee joked as he lifted up the golden egg. "Hey Soothsayer, why don't you open this and give us all a listen!"
"Honestly Lee, at least let Harry attempt to figure it out by himself." Hermione rolled her eyes at Lee's energy.
"Hey…. Where is Harry?" The party seemed confused as they looked around and Harry was nowhere to be seen.
"Course he's resting…"
"…after what he did!" Forge spoke before raising up two goblets. "TO HARRY! THE GRYFFINDOR CHAMPION!"
"TO HARRY!" The cheer echoed throughout the common area.
Meanwhile Harry who stood outside sighed in annoyance. As much as he liked his Hogwarts family he had to admit there was a hecticness they produced that was a bit much for him. Pushing himself from the wall he headed to the opposite wall and walked a bit before stopping and looking around. No one was near as he took a deep breath. His lips moved slowly and the wall opened. Stepping in he closed the wall and ordered the floor downward. Down and down to the depths of Hogwarts and beyond. To the place he had recently found peace. The Chamber of Secrets. Kicking off his shoes he found the pleasure of the cold stone against his barefoot as he walked straight into the middle of the chamber and knelt to begin his meditation. Afterall it worked wonders for the mind. Even to the effect of removing the stench of death that once permeated the chamber. His black hair tied itself back from his face knowing what his training would be as he heard the soft laughter of someone.
"Luna, I know you're there."
"W̴h̸o̵ ̶s̶a̶i̶d̴ ̶I̵ ̸w̸a̴s̸ ̴L̸u̷n̷a̶,̶ ̷S̵p̶e̸a̷k̴e̷r̵.̷"
Harry's eyes swung open as he turned and saw yellow silted eyes peering into his own.
