Hey guys loving all the feedback and everything it's been incredibly helpful. Not gonna lie this chapter is gonna have a bit of a time jump simply because my brain wishes to see years in which Harry is growing up. Also some might realize something I've done in both this and my other work. People call Bellatrix, Trixie. This is because I have looked at the evidence from her life in a pureblood traditionalist family and as being submitted to a deranged family like the Lestranges and then being almost Voldemort's pet I've come to the assumption since her nickname for them was "Bella" it would be a trigger for her and is why she responded to Sirius calling her Trixie.

Jessie Quirk: Glad you're loving them I'm having a lot of fun writing them. Definitely see things coming forward in later chapters since right now it's setting up a good bit.

Thank you all for the info remember to smash that favorite button, Follow the story and myself for updates, and please review. A writer is only as great as his best critic.

"Harry James Potter!" A stern voice called out to the young boy of five years old as he flew across the grounds of Hogwarts on the back of a young Hippogriff. His grin portrayed the fun he was having with the wind hitting him straight in the face as he felt free. It wasn't until he heard that voice that he turned and looked back straight at the woman and felt his face blanch.

"Heeeeeeeeey Grandma Minnie!" He called out to the stern woman as he gulped, completely aware that he had been caught doing something he wasn't supposed to do.

"Get…..Down… NOW!" His grandma in all but blood starred up at him and he could have sworn he felt the air drop a few degrees.

"Yes ma'am!" He didn't argue and leaned forward. "Down Buckbeak." His whispered voice was fully understood as the young hippogriff began to descend himself at a very slow and calm pace before stopping right before Minerva McGonagall. Harry jumped off the hippogriff and petted it happily before they heard a noise. Turning he saw the alpha of the herd of Hippogriffs come out and make a noise which, after nuzzling Harry, caused Buckbeak to return to the herd which returned to their home enclosure. "Bye Buckbeak!" He waved before turning and then looked down, seeing Minerva's face.

She sighed as she looked down at the boy. "Harry….." Minerva ran a hand up to her face and back through her hair before letting loose another sigh. "You said you were going down to see Hagrid…"

"I did!"

"Then can you explain to me how I found you on a hippogriff's back?"

"Well, I got down here and Hagrid said he was going to be taking care of the hippogriffs and that I could help him and I could get to meet them. That little one came up towards me and liked me so Hagrid said he didn't see an issue and put me on top of it's back letting me ride Buckbeak around!" The excitement was clear in the young boy's voice. As much as Minerva felt like she should scold Harry she couldn't help but smile at the happy look on the boy's face. "Hagrid said he'd show me his other friends. Something called Fluffy, and someone called Aragog too!" That switched the face to a frown.

"Harry, as much as I believe Hagrid does this with the best of intentions, I truly believe you shouldn't meet Aragog yet…His kin are quite… aggressive unlike the herd of Hippogriffs." Minerva warned as she bent down and with a few waves of her wand removed the mud and dust off of Harry's clothing. "Now come alone Harry I do believe your father should be done at Saint Mungo's soon."

"Awww alright Grandma Minnie." He reached up and took her hand as they headed back up to the castle. His father had begun to go to Saint Mungo's by the request of the entire family in order to try and help with his trauma. Harry didn't understand it but it started when Uncle Padfoot came by and saw the fact that the only portrait of his mother was within Harry's room and nowhere else around the house. That was about two years ago and as an agreement James had to go see Mind Healers every week. Harry didn't mind as it gave him time to go and have fun with his entire family. His aunts, Amelia, and Andromeda, his uncles Padfoot, Moony, and ted, his friend Nymphadora, Susan, hagrid, and Grandma Minerva and Grandpa Filius. Needless to say it felt good to see them. His mom said from her portrait that he could always count on these people no matter what and he completely believed her.

Though he had to admit he was wondering what was going on between Amelia and Padfoot before they had seemingly been a bit tense the last time he saw them. Oh well Harry assumed they'd figure it out and he wasn't the only one.

"I told you Amelia!"

"No you're hiding something from me Sirius!"

"I'm not lying that I am hiding something!"

"Then tell me where you're going everyday!"

This argument had been going back and forth multiple times the past several months. Amelia was a former Auror mind you so she was one of the most insightful individuals you probably could ever know. She could tell when someone was lying or hiding something and for the past months it had become clear to her about one thing in particular. Sirius Black was hiding something from her.

"Amy…You know me." Sirius spoke calmly as he walked over and took her hands in his and sat her down on the couch.

"Which is why I'm so worried, Sirius. You never hide things from me." Tears threatened to tear their way from her eyes as she looked up at the man. "Whatever it is Siri I'll be there by your side… I'll help you where I can." Her hand came up and cupped the love of her life's cheek.

"Melia…" Sirius felt his heart squeeze at that proclamation. "I have to ask Andi."

Amelia stared in shock at him. "Andromeda knows what's going on?" Sirius nodded and after a bit of staring she sat up straight seeing the look on Sirius' face. "You swore a magical oath?!" Her voice came out in that stern way only she and McGonagall could do. Not one of anger but one of worry.

Sirius nodded again before sighing. "And that's why I can't tell you."

"Why did you never just say that…"

"It'd make you more afraid." He chuckled and saw the look on her face knowing he was right.

"I hate it when you're right Paddy." Amelia sighed and leaned over some and nuzzled into him finally feeling the strain of not knowing what had been bothering him leaving her. "Is it important?"

"Yes."

"Does it involve family?"

"Yes."

Amelia nodded to this and wiped her eyes. "I'm so sorry." Sirius looked at her astounded by that apology. "I shouldn't have pushed you like I did. I just… I got afraid … I remember how you were in school and… I know you were never good at commitment…"

"Amelia." Sirius sat her up some to look him in his eye. "Did you think I was cheating on you?" A short look of hurt passed through his face as she nodded and the tears began to fall. "Well I can't blame you since I was acting like that." He ran his hands over her eyes and wiped her tears from her face.

"I just…" Her breathing kept growing shallow and higher as time went on as if she was trying to calm herself but couldn't.

"Amelia… take a breath. You're panicking." Sirius looked at her in shock.

"I guess it's better just to show you Siri." She took out her wand and closed her eyes for the briefest moment. "Expecto Patronum."

Sirius expected Amelia's eagle to come flowing through the wand but was surprised as what came out was a german shepherd dog which began to race around the room around them. Sirius was in shock of it as he watched the dog chase around the room and even into the children's room where they heard Susan laughter, she had her doorway enchanted to be silent whenever a "grownup" talk had to be done and Amelia most likely ended it when they sat down and finally calmed down. He turned to her and raised an eyebrow.

"Sirius… a person's patronus only changes on two occasions… One, Marriage. And two, life changing events." Sirius stared at her as Amelia began to walk closer and took his hand gently in his and brought it to her stomach. "Siri… I'm pregnant."

Sirius looked at her in shock as he looked at her then to her stomach and back before feeling his eyes roll back into his head and felt his weight fall back. Amelia quickly casted cushioning charms on the ground when Sirius hit and she sighed at her reaction time.

In all honesty… That went better than she expected.

It was a shocked Andi that had come to the Bones Manor after being called by Amelia.

"Is Sirius okay?"

"Oh he's fine. A little passed out from finding out he's gonna be a dad."

Andromeda looked at her in shock at this and a grin spread past her cheeks. "Please tell me you somehow have that memory saved. I want to see it later."

"Of course we'll see it later… but that's not why I called you Andromeda." This made the woman raise an eyebrow at her. "No, I asked you here to tell me why Sirius keeps leaving this house… and since I know what you made him promise." She held up her wand. "I, Amelia Bones, Matron of the House of Bones until Heir Susan Bones comes of age, do swear upon my magic to never disclose the information shared to me by Andromeda Irma Tonks nee Black, So mote it be."

Andromeda looked at her in shock but shortly came to the realization this was for Sirius' sake. "I, Andromeda Irma Tonks nee Black of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, accept the oath sworn to me by Amelia Bones, so mote it be." Light flashed on both of their wands showing that the oath was sworn and sealed. "Why did you do that?"

"I will not have Sirius lying to me. We do not keep things from each other and his secrets are mine as mine are his." Amelia proclaimed.

"Very well… Well it all started five years ago…" And Andromeda began to tell Amelia the news about Bellatrix. After the long talk Amelia sat down in shock.

"I wish I could drink." Amelia muttered causing a small laugh to escape Andi.

"I felt the same when she appeared.

"You both could have come to me sooner."

"We were afraid of what would happen given her reputation."

Amelia sighed and nodded to that fact if she had found out she'd probably be duty bound to send Aurors to arrest her… technically she was still duty bound but she shook her head. "The Lestrange Brothers and Barty Crouch Junior have already been sent to Azkaban for their parts in the torture of Alice and Frank… If she was coherent enough I could get her a trial."

"She's not… Not yet at least. We see glimpses of my sister but then a loud noise or the sound of running water causes her to hide. "

"Even after five years?"

"Amelia!" Andromeda glared. "Trauma has no end. It sits in you till the end of days. We find ways to cope but it does not simply vanish." She took a breath in to calm herself.

"Forgive me… I didn't mean it like that."

"I know but I couldn't help but snap back. Amelia, She can't leave the building yet. She refuses to even walk in the garden or pick up a wand. The calmest I've seen her is when Sirius sits nearby and tells her stories of his life since he last saw her… That's when I see the glimpses of the woman who played with him when he was young. "

Amelia nodded. "If i can suggest. I know a Mind Healer. She's personally working to help James with his issues. She does it discreetly to help him without others knowing. She would be willing to swear the same oath as us… It's Doctor Sabal Patil."

"I know the man." Andromeda nodded. "We've worked closely over the years when I was earning my mastery in mind healing." After a bit of debate she nodded. "Very well Amelia, if you trust him with James then I guess I can trust him with my sister."

James sighed as he returned home after getting Harry from Minerva. He still couldn't help but chuckle that his son had already started getting in trouble but knew that Hagrid would keep Harry safe no matter what.

"Harry, go continue your studies on etiquette."

"But Dad!"

"No Buts except the one you have, Harry." James looked down at his son. "The more you learn about the Most Ancient and Noble House of Potter the better you will be received at Hogwarts."

"Mom wasn't a member of one of the Houses and from what everyone says she was the best!"

"She was Harry." James kneeled down and looked him in the eyes. "But there are families that think of this etiquette as something akin to worshiping a religion. I am preparing you to be able to handle and deal with them once they come. You can't simply ignore their beliefs as that will make them enforce their views more. You must be able to tear down their beliefs as if a sword through a serpent. Until you have children of your own Harry, we are the last of the Most Ancient and Noble House." He expressed the severity of this to him by giving him a small shake. "You are Half blood. You must be more Pure than the Purebloods and more Muggle than the Muggleborns."

Harry looked down and nodded after a moment. "Yes Dad…." He felt himself saddened that his father must be disappointed in him at how he was acting. That was until James tilted Harry's head back up.

"You have your mother's eyes Harry… and I see the genius behind them the same as I saw in her. I know you'll make us both proud." He grinned. "I am proud to be your father. I simply want you prepared."

Harry's smile slowly came back hearing his father before he hugged him. "I'm gonna keep making you proud Dad. I swear it."

"Oh you swear it?" James raised an eyebrow at that and chuckled. "What else do you swear?"

Harry's eyes of genius as James referred to them took a mischievous tone. "I solemnly swear that I will be up to no good."

"Not too much no good, understand?"

"I wouldn't wanna grey any more of Granny Minnie's hair like you Dad."

"Oi!" James playfully swung his arm at Harry duck and took off running to his room. He laughed though as he had to admit Harry was the best of him and his mother. He just slightly hoped Lily's nature would come out more than his own. He stood and sighed as he rubbed his metal mask and began to walk through the house looking at the portraits of all the past Potters lining it. He stopped before his office and opened it walking to his desk and sitting opening up the mail he had received today.

"James."

He flipped through the letters. Marriage contracts mostly ask for Harry's betrothal in order to connect families. Like in Merlin's name he'd ever sign away his son's right to choose who he loves.

"James Fleamont."

He sighed as he laid down the letter from the Wizengamot about assigning a proxy in his absence which he began to pen down an official letter which was as simply Sirius would take control of his voting power until such a time came that he or Harry came to retain the seat.

"James Fleamont Potter."

He sealed the letter and handed it to the owl beside him. It was a beautiful owl. Part of a set with a younger female one which spent more time in Harry's room. Harry had gone with him once to Gringotts and had seen this older white owl along with a smaller one in the same cage and it seemed like destiny.

"Go on, Aries." The older male seemed to be a bit more aggressive typically than that smaller one so the name Aries seemed perfect for him while his son had come to call the younger female Hedwig. He watched as Aries flew himself from his post to the window which opened automat-

"JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER, YOU TURN AROUND AND LOOK AT YOUR MOTHER!"

And there it was. Like usual when he had to take care of business here. No wonder he locked the door typically and had the door always have a silencing charm so Harry never heard. He sighed and rose from his chair and turned to face the two portraits on either side of the window.

"Mum, Dad…. Why must you act like that."

Fleamont Henry Potter looked down at his son with an annoyed look. "Take that mask off your face son." The answer from James was a glare and a small hesitation before taking it off and throwing the mask on the desk with a thud.

"There's my son's face."

"Mum…"

"No, do not interrupt me James." Euphemia Aurora Potter looked at her son. She looked saddened by him. "You need to stop wearing that mask all the time James. It's starting to leave lines on your face."

"Mum…"

"And I'm sure Harry would love to actually see his father's face, James."

"I'm… I'm not ready yet." James sighed as he picked the mask up. "He's just gotten over the nightmares… I don't want him to be haunted by this constant reminder."

"But you wish to be." Fleamont grunted out. "You wear that mask as your own form of penance."

"And if I do?!"

Fleamont raised his eyebrows before bringing them back down. This wasn't the Fleamont his son saw at the end of his father's life; this was Fleamont in his middle life. Strong, Wise, and at the time a very skilled duelist. He had to be due to the Global Wizarding War that Grindelwald had brought upon the world in 1932.

"Don't raise your voice at me son. Especially when your mother and I are only trying to help you. We don't want you to be lost in your grief."

"I… I know Father." They talked for about an hour before Samual appeared and informed James dinner was ready. He collected Harry and traveled to the grand dinner table which they had transfigured to be smaller when it was only the two of them so they didn't feel lonely with such a big table. It was a favorite of both Harry and James, Shepherd's pie. It seemed that Samual had seen that perhaps tonight was a good night for something comforting. Such a good house elf that aided him in his efforts to raise Harry. After James saw that it was quite late he hurried Harry up to his bed and tucked him in after reading from The Hobbit. He had found the books when out in Muggle London once and figured perhaps it was destiny in a way since it was the book "The Lord of The Rings" That had saved him now four years ago. He tucked in his son and gently kissed his head before heading to his own bedroom. It was directly through the wall in a way so he could always hear if Harry needed him. It had a listening charm so he could hear into Harry's but a silencing one so that Harry could not hear James' room. He'd rid the listening charm as Harry gets older but for now he wanted his son to be safe. He paused after a bit and was sure Harry was asleep before he went over and flicked his wand at an empty spot on the wall.

The portrait flipped from Harry's side of the wall to his and he instantly felt the look in her emerald green eyes though he kept his eyes elsewhere while he changed clothing.

"Don't look at me like that."

"Are you going to silence me again?"

"I….you know I didn't mean to do that."

"I know James but you're not accepting what I'm telling you."

"And why should i? You're not even really you!"

"Don't take that stance against me James. You know I'd be here if I had the chance." She looked insulted.

"I know… "

"Now take it off."

"No."

"James."

"I said no!"

"You're still the man I-"

"I KNOW!" He slammed his hand on the dresser as if this was a topic he had heard so many times. "I know…"

"Then look at me… without the mask." He spun and cast a silencing charm on the portrait and before the look of betrayal could reach his eyes he continued the chain to block off its access to say what it had seen here to anybody but him, sent the portrait back to Harry's room, and turned it off. He went and sat down and cupped his hands to his mouth. "I'm not ready… I'm not ready… I'm not ready." He leaned over and laid his head on his pillow after securing his mask. The last thing he said as he let sleep take him shook brought him discomforting dreams.

"I'm sorry Lily."
