Just a few days after starting school, Kanon realized that she had truely fallen into the world of the Clamp School Detectives because of the reputation of Imonoyama Nokoru, a perfect student council president of the elementary division, who had nothing to complain. Furthermore, at this time, the detectives team had not yet been formed because Nokoru was only in third grade, according to her memory, that was the year Nokoru met Suoh.

"Oh, Nokoru-sama! Could we take a picture of you standing in the middle of the sunflower field?"

Just as Kanon was passing by the sunflower field, she overheard this. Could this be the moment when the two main characters meet? Not wanting to miss the fun scene, Kanon quietly hid behind some sunflower rows and observed them. While Nokoru was posing for the two girls to take pictures of him, Suoh walked by and noticed a fallen sunflower. He sat down and tied the sunflower back to the support pole. The two girls saw Suoh and expressed their desire for Nokoru to take a picture with Suoh. Suoh didn't want to, but under the pressure of fangirl power and Nokoru's convince, he reluctantly agreed to take a not-so-friendly photo with the student council president who he didn't want to be involved with.

Kanon happily observed the two handsome boys, capturing the hearts of all the female students at Clamp school. Just like in the anime, Nokoru had a beautiful face like a girl, shiny blonde hair under the sun, and flexible, and mischievous blue eyes, while Suoh remained calm with his navy blue hair and serene amber eyes. No matter how you looked at them, you could see the elegance and gentlemanly aura emanating from the two since they were young.

After the two girls thanked them and happily ran off with their achievement, Suoh also bid farewell to Nokoru with an unwilling expression, leaving Nokoru to ponder endlessly about this unfriendly friend.

It seemed that Nokoru felt a bit hurt by being treated coldly, as he had always received affection and friendly looks from everyone he interacted with, except for Suoh. But it could be his genius brain intuitively told him that Suoh would become someone very special to him. While murmuring Suoh's name and planning to go to the student council room to find out more, Nokoru suddenly heard a noise in the flower bed nearby.

Kanon gasped, as she accidentally stepped on a rock under the flower's roots, causing some sunflower to fall and made a noise that caught Nokoru's attention. She heard footsteps approaching, so she quickly sat down pretending to fix the sunflower stems.

"Hello!"

It was Nokoru speaking while peering his handsome face into the flower bed.

"Oh, hello... Kaichou!"

She looked up at Nokoru, her hand was still adjusting the plant's support string

"It's such a beautiful day today, isn't it?"

"Yes, the weather is really nice today. Are you fixing those flowers? You're so diligent, are you member of the gardening club?"

Nokoru curiously asked, as he saw her there, assuming she must have been there for a while since he didn't see anyone around.

"Ha ha, no, I am not. I just noticed that the ties were loose, so I decided to fix them while passing by. Otherwise, with the strong wind, all the flowers would have fallen."

"Alone? Tying them since earlier?"

Nokoru was surprised.

"There's nothing much. I've finished all now. If Kaichou has work to do, I would like to leave now."

Saying that, she smiled, stood up, and was about to leave. How could she reveal that she was hiding here to watch the play? She was just a passerby, could she get away with it?

"Oh, but I don't have anything else to do."

Contrary to her thoughts, Nokoru smiled and looked at her with hidden meaning, seeming reluctant to let her go so easily.

"Even so, I would still like to ask for permission to leave."

She was determined to run away, not getting involved with this troublesome person.

"What class are you in?"

"I'm in class 1Z, Modern Literature Department."

"I'm also in class Z, we're in the same area. Let's go together!"

Nokoru smiled again, very sweetly, but why did she feel a chill down her spine?

Throughout the journey together, Kanon didn't dare to say anything, but Nokoru didn't make things difficult for her either. He didn't ask any further questions, just before saying goodbye, he made her fully understand what it meant to be a genius in Clamp's world.

"See you again, Hanazaki Kanon!"

And he left, leaving behind a bewildered girl, she was only a passerby, ok?

In the Student Council room:

Just like in the anime, the President Nokoru was sitting in front of his massive desk, searching for Takamura Suoh's information on his computer. But there was another person present, Hanazaki Kanon, a new transfer student who arrived a few days ago. He never forgot the name of the girl he had met before and memorized the names of all the female characters in the school. It was Nokoru's way of showing respect and love for women. He wanted to protect them. And from there, the Clamp Detective Team was formed. It was also the beginning of the troubles that little Kanon would encounter later on.

Kanon was contemplating, wouldn't Nokoru and Suoh be kidnapped together after their first meeting? Should she warn them about something? But then, Kanon dismissed her thoughts. In the end, they would escape, and Nokoru would only suffer a minor injury and they finally became close friends.

Well, well, they were the main characters, they didn't need someone like her, just a passerby. No need to worry, just go home and have dinner with her mother.

As she packed her belongings into her bag and stood up to leave, a beautiful face that radiated brightness peeked into her classroom, causing all the female students to stir, and Kanon to panic. It was Nokoru!

Out of reflex, Kanon used her bag to cover her face, intending to sneak out through the back door, but it was too late. Nokoru stood in front of her, smiling brightly and said:

"Good afternoon, Hanazaki-san, I have something to tell you. Could you please come with me for a moment?"

And so, she was dragged away under the sparkling and admiring gazes of the female students in the class.

On the long corridor of the Z class area, Nokoru remained silent, not revealing the reason why he wanted to meet her, so Kanon also stayed quiet.

"Hanazaki-san, are you interested in joining the Student Council?" Nokoru finally asked.

This question caused Kanon to stumble, almost tripping over her own feet, but luckily Nokoru caught her. She thanked him and laughed, replying,

"Are you joking, Kaichou? I has just transferred to this school and don't know anything. How could I join the Student Council?"

"You don't need to know anything, just join. The tasks in the council aren't too difficult, just a bit overwhelming. Honestly, I need someone to help," Nokoru explained.

Nokoru changed his tactics, looking at her with an urgent gaze that was hard to resist, but Kanon still stubbornly tried to keep her distance from this male lead.

Deep down, Kanon thought, "Is he recruiting servants for his harem?"

"I apologize for my lack of talent and ability. I can't handle the responsibilities of being with Kaichou. My studies are already quite demanding, and I can't be of much help. I hope you could understand for me, Kaichou," Kanon declined his offer as quickly and politely as possible.

- Is it really impossible? I can help you with your studies.

Nokoru still refuses to give up.

- But honestly, I'm not very interested in the Student Council, so...

She had to speak the painful truth and cut it off while she still could.

Nokoru stood still, looking at her for a while, and seeing her determination, he couldn't bring himself to force her.

And they said their goodbyes but Kanon knew that Nokoru was stubborn and never willing to give up on his goals. Please let her live a peaceful life.

Seeing the little girl running away from him like a ghost, Nokoru smiled strangely. Well, he could slowly deceive her later, but for now, he would go after Takamura first.
