Luz was unpacking her suitcase in the hotel in Yokohama. Naturally, it was upscale, because she was rich, the Intercontinental Yokohama Grand.
'Yeah, I'm trying to literally find a fish in the ocean, I want a little comfort when I'm not looking for her.' Luz thought.
"Woah, the shower here makes ours look like a low budget model!" Boscha said.
"Boscha, we don't even use our shower." Amity said, "In case you forgot, we lose our legs when-"
The sound of water could be heard, along with the all too familiar sound of a fish slapping the tile floor.
"The fact that you haven't swam into a fishing net is incredible." Amity mumbled before walking to help.
Luz went over to the window and looked at the harbor, knowing all the fish that are in the water, but unsure of the one they're looking for. Luz saw something stick out of the water, it was too dark to actually see, but it looked like... a head.
"Luz, honey, could you come here? Boscha is heavy." Amity said.
"I'm big boned!" Boscha said.
"You're a shark, you don't even have bones!"
Luz looked back out the window, seeing another head pop up and give a kiss to the other one.
'Okay, they're probably just a couple taking a night swim, not exactly uncommon in many countries.' Luz thought, before going to help her wives.
As she did, the two swimming went back into the water, one with fins attached to her arms and the other with a large tail. In the bathroom, Luz saw the tiger shark mermaid giving her a wide smile, resting her head on her hands.
"Hi." Boscha said with a wide smile, showing off those sharp teeth of hers, "So, you come here often?"
"Only when you do something stupid." Luz said, "Why did you turn on the shower? You knew that would only end one way."
"What can I say, I like it when you two come and help me up."
"Awe, you're so sweet." Luz said, finding it sweet how Boscha wanted them to help.
"And stupid." Amity said, dropping a towel on Boscha's head, "But in a sweet way, now dry yourself off, we have a family breakfast in the morning, and I'm ready to get to sleep, and you won't be getting any cuddles if you take your time."
Boscha gasped.
"Wow, rude!" Boscha said.
"Don't worry, Boscha, I'll cuddle with you." Luz said.
"At least someone loves me!" Boscha said, looking away from Amity.
"Oh, pipe down you overgrown soup ingredient."
"Hey, Shark fin soup is a horrible creation, that lead to the death of 73 million sharks every year!" Boscha said, "They only cut the fins off and then leave the shark to drown a slow and painful death!"
Boscha hated seeing her babies get hurt and killed. Humans kill millions of sharks every year, and sharks only attack an average of 70 people a year, and only around 5 are fatal. You have a significantly higher chance of dying from a car accident, and yet no one has banned cars yet.
"Careful, Amity, you might get her talking about statistics, you know how she is with shark statistics." Luz said, helping dry Boscha off, while still thinking about where the mermaid would be.
Because some people I've spoken to about Boscha didn't know, I figured I'd say it here. Sharks don't have bones, they have a skeleton made of Cartilage, which is flexible and lightweight. It also doesn't fossilize, which is why you always see shark teeth, but never a skeleton... so yeah, Boscha doesn't have bones when she's in her mermaid form, it's also why she was having such a harder time learning to walk in the first story, because she had to get used to having bones.
