LeavesofMyself: Alright! Sorry it took so long, I've been working on this for a while now. It's over a 100 pages of writing, so I'm going to break it up into parts. It'll be posted over some time, to give me breathing room to work on different chapters.

Anyway, I really hope you enjoy!

Summary: Eddy finally gets to go to a clinic, something he's been waiting anxiously for. At his visit, he got completely unexpected news… and he still has to deal with Kevin. These are the consequences of their actions.

Eddy sat nervously in the waiting room of the clinic his mother had brought him to. He tried to pass his time by shuffling through various magazines, eyes barely glancing at the articles as he flipped through the pages.

Blue eyes nervously glanced around, watching as several pairs of eyes landed on him, some patrons scrunching their faces as his thick layer of cologne reached their noses. Eddy tried to give them a sheepish smile, but it simply turned out shaky at best. He had practically bathed in a bottle of cologne, had been doing so for the past several weeks, trying to mask his Alpha's scent that stayed with him. His baggy white shirt kept his mark covered, out of sight.

'Damn it, Kevin.' Eddy groaned internally, his fingers reaching up unconsciously to rub at the healing mating bite. He had been able to keep it a secret, mostly with oversized clothing and what felt like pounds of cologne. So far, none had been the wiser.

Eddy looked up at his mother, who was busy reading an article on something or another regarding omegas and their biology. She seemed engrossed in the article and Eddy was kind of thankful for that. The young teen shifted uncomfortably in the waiting room chair. Just when the small teen opened his mouth to gripe about how long it had been, a nurse opened the door to room, shouting his name. Eddy tensed briefly, panic washing over him before he shakily stood.

"Do you need me to go with you?" his mother quietly asked.

"No!" Eddy said a little too forcibly, causing his mother to recoil in surprise, "I mean, I'll be fine."

With that, Eddy walked forward, greeting the nurse as she walked him back to one of the rooms. She closed the door to the exam room, and started off by getting Eddy's height and weight.

She then moved on to take his vitals, before asking him a series of basic questions, such as whether or not he drank or smoked. Once the woman received the answers she needed, she left Eddy alone in the room. Eddy sat there for another twenty minutes, petite frame shivering from the cold air before a knock from the door caught his attention.

A woman walked in, probably in her later years of life if her chopped silver hair was any indication. Her face was kind, a small smile on her lips as she stepped into the room. She was small, barely any taller than Eddy was.

"Hello," she said as she stepped into the room, walking over to the terminal poking out from the wall, "I'm Dr. Conley, and you must be… Eddy."

Her warm brown eyes looked over to him as she sat down in the rolling chair, typing away at the keyboard for a moment before turning her full attention on Eddy.

"What brings you in to the clinic today?" the doctor asked.

Eddy twisted his hands nervously, eyes fixated on his lap as he answered, "I need suppressants."

Dr. Conley nodded, turning back to the computer, the click of the mouse the only constant sound in the room.

"Alright, Eddy. According to your chart, you only recently presented?" the doctor stated more than questioned, but Eddy gave an affirmative anyway, "Unusual to be your age and just presenting, but it's not unheard of either."

Eddy nodded, not knowing what else to do as the woman clicked away in what he assumed was his medical chart.

"Alright, tell me about your first heat." The doctor instructed, causing Eddy's cheeks to flush red in embarrassment.

'She's just a doctor.' Eddy reminded himself as he took a steadying breath. Eddy recounted the day he went into heat, heavily editing his version into something more PG than what had really happened. Dr. Conley made notes as he spoke, fingers still flying across the keyboard even after he finished speaking. She adjusted the monitor briefly as she stood up, walking over to the sanitizer and slathering her hands. On her way back to Eddy, she pulled on a pair of gloves.

"I'm just going to listen to your heart and your lungs," the woman said as she pulled the stethoscope from around her neck. When she was finished, she laid the exam table flat.

"Go ahead and lie back," she said warmly, which Eddy did so, his body shifting until he was laying firmly on his back. He kept his arms tightly at his sides, the doctor briefly lifting his baggy shirt and began to push on his abdomen, pressing this way and that. The feeling was uncomfortable, and one shift of the hands caused him to wince. Dr. Conley frowned slightly, her hands concentrating on one area.

"You can sit up now," the doctor said as she waited for him to so, moving the table back into a seated position. Dr. Conley removed her gloves, disposing of them as she went back to the terminal.

"Are you sexually active?" Dr. Conley questioned after several minuets of quiet typing. Eddy tensed, unsure of how to answer. The doctor looked at him with expectant eyes, waiting patiently for Eddy to form the words.

"Y-yeah." Eddy stammered, his nerves tightening in his anxiety. The doctor nodded, made a note in his chart before facing him again.

"Do you use protection?" she questioned, professionally ignoring the bright red flush that washed over her patient.

"No." Eddy eventually mumbled, a spark of shame twisting his pheromones, but they were immediately blanketed by his layer of cologne.

"When was the last time you were intimate?" she questioned as she typed away.

"Two weeks ago." Eddy confessed, his blush of embarrassment deepening.

"Did you have a partner for your heat cycle?" she questioned, her hands noting something before turning back to him once more.

"Uh… wha?" Eddy mumbled, his hands coming up to try and hide his face.

"No need to be embarrassed, Eddy." Dr. Conley said, her words gentle and soothing, "But I need you to be honest with me. I can't help you if you hide things from me."

Eddy nodded, his eyes staring at his lap as the doctor repeated her question. Eddy nodded again, which only caused the doctor to sigh.

"Is that a yes?" she asked, to which Eddy nervously nodded again.

"Okay," she said as she typed another note, "Were you knotted?"

Eddy felt like he was going to die from embarrassment. He had never wanted the floor to swallow him whole so much. Not being able to say the words, Eddy simply nodded his head again.

"Have you had multiple intimate partners?" Dr. Conley questioned, earning a scoff from Eddy.

"I'm not some kind of whore." Eddy hissed, his embarrassment forgotten as anger quickly took its place. Dr. Conley raised her hands, signaling she meant no offense.

"I'm just trying to better understand your sexual history. It's necessary to complete your work-up." The woman said, her warm, brown eyes calming the omega in her care.

"1 guy!" Eddy snapped, his hands crossing in annoyance across his chest, "I've slept with one guy."

The doctor nodded, entering a few notes into his file.

"Okay, Eddy," Dr. Conley said, but a gentle knock from the door cut her off. She called to the person on the other side, inviting them in. The door opened to reveal another young nurse wheeling in a machine of some sort. The nurse was average height, her features plain with dirty blonde hair pulled back in a tight pony tail.

The doctor and nurse discussed something in hushed whispers before the nurse walked over to Eddy, the machine rolling with her. She got Eddy to lie back, leaning the exam table back until it was in a reclining position.

"This is Angelica, she's going to be assisting me with this part of your exam," Dr. Conley said as she rolled her chair over next to the machine. Angelica flashed him a toothy grin as she pulled up his shirt while simultaneously lowering his too-big sweatpants and boxers, a hard blush staining Eddy's cheeks in the process.

"Alright, Eddy. Have you been experiencing unusual symptoms lately?" the doctor questioned as they turned the machine on. Eddy looked up at the two medical professionals in confusion.

"Unusual, how?" Eddy questioned, his eyes glancing nervously at the screen as it hummed to life.

"Any nausea? Vomiting? Cramps?" Dr. Conley started listing off, her attention fully on Eddy. The young teen frowned, his mind raking over the past several months for anything that seemed unusual.

"I've been nauseous here and there, but never vomited." Eddy said, prompting the doctor to ask how long it had been occurring, to which Eddy simply shrugged his shoulders.

"Anything else?" the doctor asked, using one hand to clamp around the blunt head of the wand in her hand

"Haven't really been hungry a lot," Eddy said from his reclined position. The nurse was gently rolling a bottle of some gel-like substance back and forth in her hands, confusing Eddy as to what was going on.

"Is that normal for you?" Dr. Conley asked as Angelica tipped the bottom of the gel-like substance over, allowing a dollop to drop onto his abdomen.

"I guess…" Eddy said, eyes curiously watching Dr. Conley maneuver the wand across his stomach, smearing the substance in the process. Blobs of greys and blacks distorted the image on the screen as the doctor moved the wand around. She pressed the device more firmly into his abdomen, moving it around further before pausing over a spot.

Quick hands made work of the buttons as she held her other hand steady. She seemed particularly interested in that spot, but from Eddy could see on the screen, there wasn't anything special about it.

Minutes ticked by before the doctor pulled the wand away, wiping it down before shutting the machine down. Angelica quickly came over with a dry cloth to wipe the gel from his abdomen before he was allowed to fix his clothing.

His blood had been drawn before he was escorted to the bathroom to give a urine sample. Once he returned to his exam room, he was left there with nothing but questions on his mind.

Nearly fifteen minutes went by before the doctor walked back into the room, a packet of papers and several pamphlets under one arm while the other hand carried a picture. she placed the stack of information on the office's counter before standing closely to Eddy, the film in her hands.

She handed Eddy the picture, his eyes staring in confusion at the mix of greys and blacks.

"This is your ultrasound," Dr. Conley stated before dragging her figure around the massive grey area, "This is your womb."

Eddy followed her finger, not sure where she was going with this.

"This," the doctor indicated to the black circle, "is you amniotic fluid."

Why was his heart thundering inside his ribcage? Why did it feel like he couldn't breathe?

"And right here," the doctor said as her well manicured finger pointed to a small grey blob, no bigger than a kidney bean, "This is your baby, Eddy. You're about seven weeks."

Dr. Conley gently rubbed his back, that much he could feel.

Why did it feel like his lungs burned? Why was his world blurring?

"Eddy," the doctor said as she fanned his face with one of the random pamphlets, "Eddy you need to breathe. Take slow, deep breaths."

Eddy couldn't, his body trembling as he gave several sobbing gasps, his lungs feeling as if they were on fire, his heart feeling like it would explode.

Why was he crying? Why was he trembling?

"I can't breathe!" Eddy gasped, his lungs just barely pulling in air as his mind processed what was in front of him, "I can't breathe!"

Why was he so afraid?

Dr. Conley did her best to calm Eddy down, but the young teen fell deep into a panic attack. Just as the doctor tore open the door, shouting down the hall for assistance, Eddy's world turned black.

Eddy sat quietly in his mother's passenger seat, his mind blank as the world passed him in a blur. His still trembling hands clenched around packets of information, pamphlets, and the ultrasound picture alike.

The car was eerily quiet, both occupants lost in their own thoughts. It wasn't until Eddy's mother made a left onto their cul-de-sac, pulling her dated car into the driveway that Eddy jerked back to the present.

Both occupants climbed from their seats, exiting the vehicle before making their way into the small house. Eddy's mother walked to the kitchen island, Eddy not far behind her, his unsteady hands dropping the packets onto the quartz countertop. Eddy dropped his head into his hands, elbows propped onto the counter as he hunched over, not a sound leaving his lips.

Eddy's mother sighed, her one hand reaching into one of the lower cabinets and pulled out her bottle of rum. Without saying anything, she quickly uncapped the large bottle before chugging down several gulps of the burning liquor. When she put the bottle down, she replaced the cap and put away as if it had never existed.

Eddy's mother walked around the kitchen island, a hand gently rubbing her youngest child's back in comfort. When she heard Eddy sniffle, his shoulders shaking from suppressed sobs, the woman pulled her child into a hug, her lips pressing a sweet kiss to his forehead.

She held him for a long time, her body gently swaying back and forth in a soothing rockabye, her chest muffling her son's sobs of fear and panic. She could smell the sourness in the air, her heart clenching as tears came to her own eyes.

"Hush, Eddy; it's going to be okay." Her voice was soft, tone light, the sentence playing itself on repeat like a divine mantra.

Eventually, Eddy tired himself out, his body sagging into his mother, who fought to hold both of them up.

"Why don't you go lie down; get some rest." His mother coaxed as she peeled her child from her arms. Eddy said nothing as he let go, instead opting to nod his head as a hand wiped away a few straggling tears. as Eddy turned to head towards his room, his mother called out to him. Eddy turned, his hands being shoved full of his pile of papers from the doctors.

"Take these with you," Eddy's mother said softly, a tight smile stretching her lips, "Don't need your father seeing this quite yet."

Eddy walked to his room, his mind numb. As he walked into the outdated interior of his bedroom, Eddy quickly shuffled over to his round bed, his hands haphazardly dropping his stuff onto his nightstand.

Climbing into his bed, his arms twisting the comforter around him until he was cocooned by it, Eddy listlessly lay on his side, blank eyes staring at his wall but not really seeing it.

'I'm pregnant.' Eddy thought to himself, a concoction of fear, panic, and uncertainty twirling inside in his mind at the realization.

'I'm pregnant.' Eddy repeated to himself, his arms pulling his blanket further up in an effort to disappear.

Eddy reached out, his hand colliding with the smooth, glossy finish of his ultrasound picture before pulling it towards him. Several pamphlets fell to the floor but he paid them no mind as he held the picture in from of him, glassy eyes boring into the small, grey blob swimming in a sea of black.

He must have stared at that picture for hours, long enough for the sun to set, a deep burgundy bleeding into his room from the broken blinds. Not being able to take another minute, Eddy roughly opened his nightstand, unceremoniously stuffing the ultrasound into the drawer before slamming it closed.

Eddy closed his eyes and willed his body to sleep. He fell deep into sleep, his dreams filled with lullabies and baby cries.

He remained in bed for three days, his body tossing and turning as he tried to shut the world out. His mother came in constantly, her voice gentle as she tried to coax her child to rejoin the world. He refused every time.

She had walked in on his third straight day in bed, her lips pursed in a frown as she forcibly opened his blinds. Blue eyes opened, a grimace scrunching his face as the bright sunlight poured into his room. Eddy shifted, burrowing deep into his comforter in an effort to darken his world.

"Eddy, you need to get up." His mother said authoritatively, her tone leaving very little room for argument. Eddy simply pushed deeper into his comforter, glassy eyes slipping closed as he willed himself back to sleep.

With an irritated sigh, Eddy felt his blanket being harshly pulled from his body. A struggle ensued, Eddy trying desperately to hold onto the one thing that kept him hidden from the world while mother did the exact opposite. Several minutes later and the blanket was ripped from his hands, the faint sound of it bunching up on the floor sounding unusually loud in his quiet room.

"Get up." His mother demanded, her hands positioned on her hips with a deep frown marring her features. Eddy released a sigh, eyes opening to glare at his unwanted intruder.

"Just leave me alone." Eddy grumbled, even as he unfurled from his fetal position.

"Eddy Skipper Reese," his mother hissed as she tap her foot in an effort to relieve her annoyance, "You are being incredibly selfish right now!"

Eddy scowled, his body springing upright, "I'm selfish?!"

His mother took a calming breath before she walked over to her son's bed and sat beside him, her hand coming up to run soothingly through his hair.

"Eddy," she started, her arm wrapping around her son's shoulders in an off-hand hug, "It's not just you anymore. You have to think of…"

"Don't say it, Mom!" the omega pleaded, his tone uncertain and ashamed. Eddy's mother gave him a gentle smile, her lips pressing to his forehead in an affectionate kiss.

"You're going to have to come to terms with it sooner or later," she stated, her arm moving to rub soothing circles into the young teen's back, "Sooner would be better."

Eddy said nothing, his eyes staring despairingly at the floor. His own hand raised to run through his locks, a deep, heavy sigh leaving him.

"What am I going to do?" Eddy cried, tears pricking at his eyes as he dropped his head into his hands. His mother was quiet for awhile, before she answered as honestly as she could.

"Well," she began, her own lips frowning sadly at her youngest, "You're going to have to grow up quickly. You're going to have to mature and learn to stand on your own two feet. Your baby is counting on you."

Eddy sobbed in response. He was just a teen, this wasn't supposed to happen so fast. His teens were for him goofing off and making stupid mistakes, not life-altering ones.

"You may not see it now, but your baby is a blessing." His mother said, a slight smile on her lips. Eddy choked on his mixture of sobs and disbelieving laughter.

The duo stayed quiet for several minutes, Eddy crying into his hands while his mother soothed him as best she could. Eventually Eddy's sobs morphed into sniffles, his hands coming up to wipe away falling tears.

"So," his mother began, a bright smile lighting up her face, "Can I guess which one of your little friends is the father?"

Eddy snorted before laughing, his head shaking is awe of his mother's ability to make light of almost any situation.

"You can," Eddy said as stood from his bed, muscles stretching as he did so, "But ain't gonna tell ya."

Eddy's mother pouted and she would have said something else, but Eddy's stomach choose that moment to give a long, rolling growl in hunger. A blush streaked Eddy's cheeks in turn, his mother giving a light chuckle.

"You'll have to tell me at some point," she said as she too stood from his disorganized bed, "But for now, let's get you something to eat."

Eddy dutifully followed his mother into the kitchen, his petite form taking a seat at the kitchen island as his mother moved pots and pans around. A short time later, Eddy was happily munching away on a simple meal of grilled cheese and tomato soup.

As he ate, his mother's cell phone rang, cutting through the serene silence like a knife. His mother quickly finished washing her pan, hurriedly dried her hands off before answering the ringing device.

Eddy listened to one side of a conversation, his mother muttering 'Yes' and 'Okay' every so often. The call was short, but by the time the woman ended the call, Eddy had finished the last of his meal, his stomach content for the first time in days. Eddy's mother quickly cleaned his plates, while the young teenager sat at the island sipping on a can of soda.

"That was Dr. Conley's office," his mother began, unintentionally causing Eddy to tense. "She got your bloodwork back. Mostly everything looks good, just a few minor deficiencies."

Eddy said nothing, his hands twisting nervously together, half-heartedly listening.

"She wants to get you started on prenatal vitamins right away. Oh! And can't be on suppressants while your… you know." His mother finished, turning to face the omega teen. Eddy sighed, a hand rubbing his face as he took in the news, his other hand unconsciously stroking his flat abdomen.

"We'll head to the store in a few," his mother offered, a slight smile gracing her lips as she noticed her son's actions.

"Can I at least take a shower?" Eddy asked, his hand flopping onto the kitchen island. His mother gave a soft chuckle before nodding her head, watching as the young teen disappeared to his bedroom once more.

Eddy quickly tore through his closet, grabbing a comfortable pair of sweats and a loose hoodie. He opened his dresser and pulled out clean boxers and socks before dumping everything on his unkempt bed. The young teen walked into his bathroom, hands immediately turning the dials of his shower until he was satisfied with the temperature. Eddy quickly pulled off his clothes before stepping into the warm water. He wasted no time in cleaning himself up, thoroughly washing his hair and body before relaxing under the warm spray.

Eddy sighed quietly, allowing the water to loosen tightened muscles as he stood there. His hand unconsciously came up to rest on his abdomen, his thumb stroking the area as he lost himself in his thoughts.

Minutes later, when the water cooled, Eddy shook his head, dispersing his loud thoughts as he climbed out, grabbing a towel and drying himself off.

Eddy quickly pulled on his socks and boxers, before stepping into his grey sweatpants. The omega walked in to bathroom once more to run a comb through his hair, blue eyes landing on his mating mark as he did so.

'Oh fuck,' Eddy thought as his free hand lightly traced over the impression on his shoulder, 'Kevin.'

With a groan, Eddy quickly pulled his hoodie over his head, fingers fixing messy strands before he left to join his mother.

9 weeks

Eddy rushed through the halls of his school, taking a corner rather sharply before he barged into one of hallway bathrooms. Eddy hurried over to one of the stalls, not bothering to close the door before he leaned over the toilet and emptied his stomach. Heave after heave left him, his body still trying to regurgitate when there was nothing left.

Eddy groaned in misery, his knees hitting the bathroom floor as his frame racked with dry heaves. After several minutes, the young teen was able to sit back, his arm propping his head up as his stomach twisted within him.

Just when he thought it was safe to stand, his stomach flipped and he retched into the toilet once more. His body continued to heave until it started to become painful, a choked sob leaving him in between his heaving.

"This fucking sucks!" Eddy whined as he sat back for the second time, one arm curling around his midsection. When Eddy finally stood, he flushed the contents of the toilet before walking over to the sink, his mouth swishing water about in an effort to rid himself of the acidic taste in his mouth.

The bathroom opened, a heavily pregnant omega walking in before making a beeline to an empty stall. Eddy paid him little attention, his stomach rolling horribly, almost making him dash back to one of the toilets. He was able to keep his composure, a miserable groan leaving him as he held onto the sink.

The other omega finished their business, before occupying the sink next to Eddy.

"Morning sickness?" the other omega questioned, catching Eddy off guard. Blue eyes glanced over at his companion, noting the other was probably around his age. He had fading dyed hair, amber eyes that hid behind a pair of glasses, his features as what could only be described as 'cute', and he was at least a foot taller than him.

"Ugh… Is it still morning sickness when it happens all day long?" Eddy grumbled as he took several steady breaths. The omega beside him laughed.

"I'm Christian," the omega said, thrusting their hand into Eddy's personal space. Eddy looked up from the sink he was leaning over, his eyes glancing at the offered hand.

"Eddy," the young teen grumbles, briefly clasping the other's hand before he went back to concentrating on keeping his stomach content in his actual stomach.

The sound of shuffling was heard before something small and thin tapped him on the arm. Eddy looked over, an opened back of mints were held in offering to him. Skeptical eyes looked at Christian, then back at the mints.

"They helped me," was all Christian said as he poked Eddy with the stick of mints again. Eddy gave a shaky smile, his hand accepting the gift from the other omega.

The other teen said they needed to get back to class, to which Eddy waved them off. After ten more minutes of his body contemplating on vomiting some more, the young teen was able to stand straight, hands rubbing at his face.

Eddy turned to leave the restroom, his hand automatically popping one of the peppermints into his mouth.

Eddy flopped back onto his bed as soon as he made it to his room. He had completely blown off his mother when she asked how his day went, the woman receiving an unwarranted death glare in response.

A long groan left him as he starred up at the ceiling, his stomach coiling once again that day. A whimper escaped him when it felt like he was going to upchuck again, but he managed to keep everything down. Eddy curled on his side, minutes passing before his mother knocked softly on his door, her head peeking in.

"Eddward is here," she said softly only to get a groan in response. She moved out of the way, Edd making his way over to Eddy, eyes watching him uncertainly.

"Hiya Sockhead." Eddy mumbled as he slipped an arm underneath his head to provide some support.

"You don't look so good, Eddy." Double D said, worry in his voice as he reached out to touch Eddy's forehead. Said teen smacked his hand away before it could make contact.

"Thanks for stating the obvious," Eddy muttered, a breath of annoyance ringing in his tone.

"Are you sick?" Edd asked, his body shifting slightly to better view the miserable omega next to him.

"You could say that," Eddy sighed, his body curling further into itself. Double D frowned, getting up from the bed and momentarily disappearing from his friend's room. When he returned, he had a small glass of some sort of drink with him, to which he handed to Eddy.

"Drink it, Eddy. It should help." Edd offered, watching as his miserable friend forced himself into a seated position, a shaky hand taking the glass but not sipping from it.

"I doubt that, Double D." Eddy huffed as he rested the glass on one of his clothed legs, his other hand reaching up to pinch the bridge of his nose.

"Well, you won't know until you drink it." Edd huffed back, a look of annoyance crossing his features. Eddy waved him off, bringing the cup up to take a sip, just to shut Double D up.

"Ginger ale?" Eddy asked as he swallowed his sip, a grimace on his face at the bitter taste.

"Ginger has been scientifically proven to aide with ailing stomachs." Double D said as he retook his seat. Eddy rolled his eyes before placing his drink onto his nightstand.

"I hate ginger ale." Eddy grumbled.

"That's all you had!" Double D said, his arms folding across his chest as he observed his friend.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Edd questioned as Eddy looked like he was going to be sick. The young omega groaned in response, taking several deep breaths before answering.

"Just peachy, Sockhead." Before Edd could say anything in response, Eddy jumped up from the bed, sprinting into the bathroom where he heard the sound of regurgitation happening. Double D winced, standing to grab the drink from the nightstand. As he picked up the glass, his eyes caught sight of the fallen stack of pamphlets on the floor. Without hesitation, Edd bent down and picked them up, eyes quickly glancing over the information.

Light blue eyes widened in surprise, Edd turned toward the nightstand where a packet of information lay. His eyes gleamed the material, disbelief roaring through him. He deposited the pamphlets onto of the packet before making his way to the bathroom, where he heard the sound of the toilet flushing.

He reached the bathroom just as Eddy came stumbling out. With a sigh, Double D grabbed his friend's arm and led him back to his bed. When the omega teen made it, he was gently coaxed to sit down before the glass of ginger ale was shoved back into one of his empty hands.

The duo stayed quiet for a while, Eddy focusing on easing his queasy stomach while Double D awkwardly twisted his hands.

Eddy heard Double D call his name and when he opened his blue eyes, a stack of pamphlets were spread out in front of him. Eddy tensed, having completely forgotten about the discarded items. The young teen further tensed when Double D placed down the packet of information, his eyebrow raised in question at him.

Minutes ticked by before Eddy sighed, his right hand hesitantly indicating to his nightstand, "In the drawer."

Edd said nothing, turning to said stand and opened the small drawer. Sitting on top of a pile of useless treasures was a glossy picture, the entire thing showing a greyscale image. Eddy looked away in shame as Double D pulled the photo from the drawer, the picture distorted with several wrinkles and crumbled corners.

"Eddy," Double D said shyly, his eyes glancing over the image, "This is an ultrasound."

Eddy snorted in response, his hand reaching to put his unwanted drink down.

"Go ahead, Sockhead," Eddy insisted, confusing his friend, "Let me have it."

"What are you talking about Eddy?" Edd questioned, his eyes tearing away from the ultrasound to look at the forlorn omega.

"Don't play dumb, Double D," Eddy muttered, his eyes refusing to meet his companion's, "Hurry up and tell me how irresponsible I am… How much I fucked up my future…"

Edd look mortified, his lips pulling down in a frown. Without warning, Double D threw his arms around Eddy, pulling the teen to him in as much of a bear hug as he could muster. Eddy blinked in surprise, his arms hanging loosely at his side.

"I would never, Eddy." Double D said, causing tears to spring to Eddy's eyes. Eddy's arms reached up and returned the hug, several sniffles leaving him as he did so.

"Stupid hormones," Eddy brokenly laughed as he wiped at his tears, Double D giving him a genuine smile.

"So," Double D began, unable to contain his curiosity, "How far along?"

Eddy smiled at that, Edd still proving that he was the most logical one of the two; it was a comfort, reminding that not everything was changing.

"9 weeks." Eddy said as he counted off using his fingers. Double D bounced next to him as an unexpected squeal left him. Double D uncharacteristically tackled Eddy, pushing him gently backwards onto his bed. Eddy released a curse before his eyebrows drew together when Edd laid himself down next to him, his head resting on his flat stomach.

"You can't feel anything, Double D," Eddy said with a roll of his eyes. Edd slapped his thigh, ordering him to not ruin the moment.

After nearly ten minutes, Edd moved to lay next to Eddy, laying on his right side so he could face him. Eddy shifted, turning onto his left side to match Double D.

"Are you going to tell me who the father is?" Double D finally mustered up the courage to ask, even though he already had his theory.

"You already know, Sockhead." Eddy confirmed.

"Have you told him yet?" Double D questioned, unexpectedly receiving a hysterical chuckle in response.

"Things are…" Eddy started, hesitating for a moment, "complicated."

"You're pregnant with his child," Edd said, his tone matter-of-fact. Eddy shook his head, indicating that's not what he meant.

"You might as well know," Eddy said with a deep, heavy sigh. He hesitantly reached up, his hand grasping the collar of his shirt before pulling it to the side, a strangled gasp leaving Double D as his bruised mating mark came into view.

"You're mated!" Double D said loudly, prompting Eddy to slap a hand over his mouth to muffle his shock, shushing him harshly.

"Shut up, Sockhead!" Eddy hissed, his head swiveling behind him to cautiously watch his door, waiting for the moment his mother burst in to chew him out. When it never came, Eddy released the breath he had been holding, his hand letting go of Edd's mouth, though a warning glare was sent his way.

"Eddy!" Double D harshly whispered as soon as Eddy pulled his hand away.

"Calm down," Eddy said, his eyes rolling once more when Edd proceeded to freak out in front of him.

"But Eddy!" Edd cried, another harsh glare getting Double D to lower his voice.

"I'm not mated," Eddy said, causing a whole other meltdown.

"Look," Eddy started, his eyes hard with an unreadable expression, "I slept with Kevin a couple of weeks ago. In a moment of passion… he sort of… marked me."

A hand slapped harshly over Edd's mouth once more as he tried to shout questions. Muffled noises sounded throughout his bedroom, minutes ticking by before the slender teen managed to calm himself.

"Eddy," Double D urged, his eyes swimming with concern, "This could be dangerous."

Eddy waved off his concerns, muttering that he was fine.

"No, Eddy!" Double D reiterated, his voice hushed but still frantic, "You have an incomplete mating bond AND you're pregnant. The stress on your body may become too much."

Eddy frowned, his mind considering Edd's concerns for a moment. With a sigh, Eddy replied, "I'll be okay, Sockhead."

With a displeased grimace, Double D stared at his friend, his eyes oceans of worry and anxiety, "I hope so, Eddy."

Eddy gave him a small smile before the duo fell into a tense silence.

11 weeks

'I can do this. I can do this.' Eddy thought to himself as he stood just outside his front door, his heart hammering within his chest as he panted slightly.

Today was the day he was going to tell Kevin, at least, that's what he had convinced himself. Eddy had managed to make it out his front door before he froze in place, catatonic fear keeping him from walking next door.

'I can do this!' Eddy reiterated, his lungs swallowing a deep breath as clammy hands sunk into his loose pockets. Timid fingers brushed against the folded up ultrasound printout in his pocket. He got himself to take a step forward, fear forcing him back two more.

'Just rip the band aid off already!' Eddy swore at himself, sweat trickling down his forehead. He looked like an idiot dancing in place in front of his own door, but no matter how much he willed himself forward, he stayed rooted to his spot.

He wanted to tell Kevin, he really did. His doctor had said he would be ending his first trimester soon, and that his child would start to develop quickly inside of him. He would be hitting milestones in his pregnancy in no time.

His heart ached as he thought of Kevin missing those moments.

Sucking in a deep breath, Eddy held it for a few seconds before blowing it back out. He willed himself to take one step, and then another, and another. Before he could chicken out, Eddy was standing in front of Kevin's house, body nearly convulsing with nervous energy.

'I can do this!' Eddy reaffirmed as he reached out and pressed the doorbell. He bounced on the balls of his feet, his body shifting side to side as fear pricked at every nerve in his body. The door opened, Kevin's father filling the doorframe. Eddy froze, his vocal cords paralyzed as he tried to speak.

"You here to see Kevin?" the jock's father asked, to which Eddy numbly nodded his head. The tall male gestured him inside before telling him that Kevin was up in his room. Eddy pulled the needed path from memory, his lungs nearly hyperventilating by the time he reached his desired destination. The bedroom door was cracked, not a sound slipped from inside.

Shaky hands quietly opened the bedroom door, his head peaking into the silent room. Kevin lay on his bed, bulky headphones covering his ears, green eyes closed.

Sucking in a sharp breath, Eddy made his way into the bedroom. He lifted a hand to shake Kevin, but he stopped. His heart felt like it was beating a thousand miles per minute, his lungs just barely able to swallow down the air needed.

'I can do this.' Eddy reinforced, his hand coming up to tap Kevin. He stopped before he made contact once more, his hand falling limply to his side with a frustrated sigh.

Eddy reached into his pocket, fingers lightly grabbing the thin edge of the folded ultrasound before he wordlessly pulled it from his pocket. Uncertain eyes stared at it for a moment, contemplating just leaving it behind and hightailing it out of there.

He was about to do just that, but Kevin's eyes opened, immediately landing on Eddy. A eyebrow raised in question, the older teen sitting up in his bed as he simultaneously removed his headphones.

"Eddy?" Kevin questioned, his lean form quickly standing from his bed, hurriedly crossing his bedroom before shutting the door for privacy. Eddy quickly stuffed the ultrasound back into the pocket it came from, Kevin none the wiser.

"Why are you here?" the Alpha asked as he walked back over to his trembling omega. Eddy said nothing, eyes shifting around the room to look at anything and everything but the jock returning to sit on his bed.

"What? Can't a guy visit his mate?" Eddy muttered bitterly, Kevin flinching backwards as if he been slapped. The Alpha said nothing, choosing to wisely keep his lips sealed. Eddy sighed, a hand coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose for a brief moment, feeling a migraine coming on.

Intense green eyes roamed his small form, eyes trailing over every minuet detail. Eddy knew the Alpha was undressing him in his mind and that thought caused a shiver to race through him, a slight track of slick leaving him wet. Kevin obviously smelled it, as a lecherous grin pulled at his lips.

With another sigh, Eddy plopped himself down next to Kevin, his thigh brushing against the jock's. Kevin shifted his body, trailing light kisses up his neck, across his cheek, before sealing themselves over Eddy's lips.

The kiss was slow, but still incredibly good. Tongues danced in a lazy tango, neither wanting to rush the slow burn of affection. Eddy moaned lightly into the kiss when Kevin began to rub the inside of his thigh, the action eliciting the response of the light scent of arousal to linger in the air.

When they pulled apart, Kevin continue to rub his thigh, his lips searching to taste the sensitive flesh of his neck. Eddy grabbed his wandering hand, stopping the red head in his tracks.

"What am I to you?" Eddy questioned, blue eyes uncertain as he crushed Kevin's hand in his own. The jock recoiled, shifty eyes darting around his room, unable to look the omega in the eyes. A disbelieving snort left Eddy, his hand tightening around Kevin's before he forcibly pushed it away from him.

"So you can fuck me, but you can't answer a simple question?" Eddy said accusatory, blue eyes narrowing in a glare at the male next to him.

"Why did you mark me?" Eddy whispered, a wisp of venom hanging onto the words, forcing the Alpha to flinch slightly.

"Eddy… I… it just… I'm sorry." Kevin rambled, his mind trying desperately to come up with an excuse that would be good enough for the omega in front of him. It seemed his words were of poor choice when Eddy scoffed at him, his frame immediately standing from the bed.

"Oh!" Eddy said forcibly, anger beginning to spike in the air, "You're sorry? Oh well, then I guess everything is just peachy then!"

Eddy rolled his eyes, the spark of anger igniting into a storm causing tears to sting his eyes, his fists balling at his sides.

"Was marking me a mistake?" Eddy hissed, the tears threatening to fall. Kevin shifted uncomfortably on his bed, his eyes still glancing at everything but Eddy.

"Yes…" Kevin began, Eddy interrupting before he could get any further. With tears of anger streaming down his face, Eddy couldn't hold back, his arm automatically slapping whatever part of the Alpha he could reach. He did it again, the third time a trembling sob escaping him.

"Fuck you! You stupid prick! Fucking asshole!" Eddy raged, his hand still coming down to hit Kevin, even as the jock grabbed ahold of his arms, stopping any further attacks.

"Eddy, listen…" Kevin began, allowing the young teen to pull away from his loose hold. Eddy said nothing, his body turning, storming across the room and almost out the door. Strong arms held him back and Eddy turned around swinging.

"Let go you stupid asshole!" Eddy hissed again. Kevin did the opposite, yanking the omega back into his room, forcing his petite frame against his closed door. Eddy struggled, his knee coming up to try and hit the Alpha where it would really hurt.

"I said, let go!" Eddy sobbed, his body twisting this way and that but Kevin refused to release him. The jock did his best calm the distraught omega to no avail.

"I'll scream!" Eddy warned once he stopped moving, tears still rolling down his face, flesh flushed from his rage.

"Just sit down!" Kevin pleaded, desperation and a hint of irritation in his tone. When Eddy refused, his struggles starting up again, Kevin hissed a one last ' please', to which Eddy huffed but complied nonetheless. Kevin escorted him back to his bed, where he sat the omega down on the edge, his body following suit. Minuets of silence ticked by, before Kevin looked up at Eddy, a deep, heavy sigh leaving him.

"Yes, it was a mistake marking you," Kevin started, his hand running through his hair as he fought to find the words. Eddy scoffed again, moving to stand once more, but a calloused hand held him in place, "BUT… I don't regret it."

"What?" the omega questioned when the jock fell into a thick silence.

"I don't regret it." Kevin affirmed, his eyes holding a glint of something unknown as he looked into Eddy's ocean blues.

"Great!" Eddy sneered, sarcasm heavy with each word, "Glad I'm a mistake that you don't regret."

"Eddy!" Kevin huffed, irritation clouding his voice.

"That's my name, jackass; don't wear it out." The younger teen said bitterly. Kevin took in a deep breath and seemed to hold it for a few seconds before blowing it heavily from his lungs.

"Just listen!" Kevin said, exasperated. Eddy glared hard at the jock, before he held up a single digit.

"One minute," the younger teen snapped, one of his hands angrily wiping away the still falling tears.

With a deep sigh, Kevin looked as if he were racking his brain, trying to find the right words to piece together.

"45 seconds!" Eddy hissed.

"Okay, okay!" Kevin said urgently, "Look, when I caught those pieces of shit with you in the bathroom; I… dunno… I just snapped. The thought of anyone with you, especially in that way… It just makes me want to murder someone."

Eddy starred long and hard at Kevin, sigh of his own leaving him, "I'm not some possession you can just…"

"No!" Kevin forcibly interrupted Eddy, his green eyes wild as he grabbed the omega's face, "You're not a toy, you're not a possession; you are none of that! It's just…"

Kevin trailed off, a groan of frustration leaving him as his words failed him again.

"It's just what?" Eddy questioned, all the fight seemingly gone from his body.

"All I could think… was that I wanted to be the only one who saw you. I wanted to be the only Alpha in your life." Kevin finally admitted, his hands letting go of Eddy as he flopped backwards onto his bed, the mattress bouncing lightly under them from the movement.

Eddy was silent for several minutes, his own mind weighing Kevin's confession.

"Do you love me?" Eddy whispered, his voice so light the Alpha almost missed it.

A deep seated sigh left the jock as he answered, "I don't know, Eddy." Kevin's green eyes shot to the omega, watching as the petite form slumped from the admission.

He wasn't going to admit that stung, nor would he allow it to show. He simply allowed to confession to roll of like water, after all, he had time. He could get his Alpha to love him, even if it was for a fleeting moment.

Kevin gave heavy sigh, his hand flopping across his stomach, green eyes drilling holes into his bedroom ceiling. Eddy turned his head to face Kevin before he shifted slightly, leaning far over to kiss the red head's cheek. Kevin looked over to him, propping himself up on one arm, freezing in place as if contemplating something. Just when Eddy was about to ask, Kevin leaned down, sealing his lips against the omega's, the kiss soul-searing and deep.

They laid there in a mutual silence for nearly twenty minutes, neither having anything further to say but also not wanting to give up time with the other quite yet.

"So," Kevin finally prompted, causing Eddy to look over at him, "Why did you come here?"

Eddy's features immediately drained of color, his body tensing impossibly tight. It was Eddy's turn to bring a hand to his face, rubbing at it as if he could stop the freight train of a headache that he could feel coming on.

"Come on, out with it." Kevin urged, his elbow lightly jostling the omega when he remained quiet, "It can't be that bad."

Eddy made a muffled noise, his body physically wincing from the jock's words. Kevin sat up, his torso turning so he could look down at the omega.

"What? It's not like you're pregnant." The red head said with a teasing lit to his voice, a smirk pulling his lips wide. Eddy said nothing, just starred helplessly at the ceiling, unable to make eye contact.

When Eddy didn't respond for several minutes, Kevin's smirk fell away from his face, his voice becoming more urgent, "That was a joke, Eddy."

Again, the omega said nothing, moving his own body to sit up and turn to face the Alpha in front of him. Kevin looked panicked as he repeated himself, "Right! It was a fucking joke!"

Eddy grimaced, a shaky smile pulling at his lips, his hands coming up in a weak, pitiful attempt at jazz hands, his voice barely audible as he muttered, "Surprise."

Kevin just stared at Eddy as if he had grown another head, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.

"Eddy, please tell me your joking." Kevin whispered, panic gripping his frame as he shook a little. Eddy shook his head, his hand reaching for the folded ultrasound in his pocket, pulling it out and handing it over to Kevin.

Shaky fingers unraveled the ultrasound, Kevin's eyes staring at it before he dropped his head into his hands, the glossy picture slipping from his hand and falling to the floor.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck…" Kevin rambled, his head shaking in denial. Eddy raised his hand to pat the Alpha on the arm, but stopped himself.

"Kevin," Eddy coaxed, keeping his voice void of any particular tone, "I'm not expecting anything from you. I just thought you deserved to know… you know… since you're the father."

An unexpected whine tore from Kevin's lips, his anxiety shooting through the roof at the mere mention of his paternal standing. Eddy stood to leave, his mouth opening to say something comforting, but the words died on his tongue.

Eddy turned and saw himself out, shutting the door behind him, the soft click drowning out the quiet fear happening within the room.

12 weeks

Eddy was watching some mind-numbing program, his mother sitting on the opposite end of the sectional, a bowl of half eaten popcorn in her lap, her hair twisted back into an up-do, while her face was painted with her nightly mask. His father was currently away, visiting some old college pals for some alumni-weekend-thing.

A soft chirp caught Eddy's attention, blue eyes glancing at his phone as it chimed again. Unlocking the phone, Eddy felt his breath catch in his throat.

Kevin: Eddy? You there?

He contemplated leaving the message on 'read', but he wasn't able to bring himself to ignore the red head.

Eddy: I'm here. U need somethin?

Eddy waited with baited breath and whatever it was that he was expecting in reply, it definitely wasn't what he actually got.

Kevin: Just checking on you.

Eddy did leave that on 'read', his eyes rolling in his head as he thought of the his week. What was he supposed to say? He hadn't spoken to Kevin since their confessions in the jock's bedroom, and he was pretty sure the last thing Kevin wanted, or needed, was heavy sarcasm.

Kevin: How's… ya know.

Eddy couldn't tell if he was amused by Kevin's inability to recognize what obviously exists, or if he wanted to smack the jock for acting like petulant child.

Eddy: No. I don't know.

He was sure Kevin was pulling his hair out at the root on the other end of the phone. For some reason, that picture alone made him feel more relaxed and at ease.

Kevin: The… baby

Eddy: Oh! The BABY. The baby that you fucked into me? That baby?

Eddy knew he shouldn't harshly tease Kevin, but, damn it, this week's morning sickness had absolutely wrecked him. He was feeling a little spiteful.

Kevin: Yes… that.

Eddy grinned mischievously, contemplating messing with the jock even further.

Eddy: Oh, ya know. Good. Just being a spawn of Satan that hates anything and everything I give it in offering.

Kevin: ?!

Eddy sighed, annoyed that Kevin was clueless as to what was happening with his body.

Eddy: Morning sickness.

Nothing was sent back for some time after that, and Eddy eventually dropped his phone back onto the stand next to the couch, his eyes wandering back to the screen of their ridiculous movie.

Finally, Eddy had had enough, his form standing from the couch and stampeding toward his bedroom. He muttered a quick 'goodnight', before disappearing down the stairs and into his solitary sanctuary.

With his body absolutely exhausted, Eddy decided to just go ahead and get some rest. He made it through his nighttime routine in record time, his hand gently setting his toothbrush in its holder.

He lingered in the bathroom, eyes trailing over his form, hidden beneath a shirt that was two sizes too big. Hands pushed the front of his shirt up, his body twisting to the side. He still wasn't showing yet, and he couldn't tell if that was a blessing or a curse. Hands quickly let go of his shirt, flipping the switch to the bathroom before racing over to his bed. He slid under the covers, his frame burrowing deep into his comforter.

Tired eyes closed, and, within moments, he was asleep.

When bleary eyes opened, his alarm clock red 3:27 in the morning. Frowning, Eddy rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. He had been almost successful, but the same firm thudding sound that had originally woken him played on repeat.

It was a knock. Someone was knocking on his door, at the asscrack of dawn to boot. A groan left Eddy as he tried to block out the sound, but whoever was on the other side of his door leading to the yard was not giving up.

With hissed curses, Eddy threw his covers off, stomping over to his door. He unlocked it, ripping it open with every intention of cursing whoever it was out.

"Kev?" Eddy mumbled, his exhausted mind not expecting the Alpha to be standing awkwardly on the other side. The red head said nothing, instead a calloused hand thrust a singular can at him, a small blush staining his cheeks, as he found the floor incredibly interesting.

Eddy reached out and grabbed the can from Kevin, his hand shifting it so it was visible in the dim lighting. He was both amused and floored.

"Ginger ale?" Eddy questioned the red head. Said jock just proceeded to shift uncomfortably, the blush on his cheeks deepening.

"I read online that it was good for morning sickness," Kevin mumbled, a hand running nervously through his hair. Eddy couldn't help the laugh that left him, his mind picturing Edd saying almost the same thing to him.

Kevin frowned, not realizing that the omega wasn't laughing at him directly, but more so the situation in general. Without another word, Kevin turned to leave, but a hand on his bicep stopped him.

"Sorry," Eddy muttered, prompting the red head to simply nod his head, "It's just… Sockhead said the same thing to me."

Instead of chuckling along with Eddy, the red head frowned, an irksome expression taking over his face.

"Double Dweeb knew before me?" Kevin said bitterly, his expression darkening slightly. Eddy, on the other hand, fumbled around for something to say to calm the Alpha's ire.

"I didn't tell him," Eddy finally offered up, causing green eyes to snap towards him. It was Eddy's turn to shift uncomfortably under the intense scrutiny, "He, sort of, figured it out."

"Figures," Kevin finally muttered after several seconds of silence. Eddy released the breath he hadn't known he had been holding. They stood in a stiff silence, the red head looking as if he wanted to say something. Eddy decided to take pity on him.

"Are you coming in?" Eddy asked, his voice light, just a hair above a whisper. Kevin said nothing, simply slid by Eddy and into the dark room. Eddy closed his door, feet cautiously making it over to his bed, hand feeling along the cool mattress until it touched his nightstand. With a flip of his fingers, his bedroom was bathed in the dim light of his table side lamp.

Eddy laid himself back down on his bed, his arms tucking a pillow under his head as he shifted slightly to get comfortable. He hadn't expected Kevin to climb into his bed, his strong arms reaching out to wrap around his petite form before tugging him close.

Eddy lay with his back nearly plastered to Kevin' front. It felt nice, almost natural, causing a small smile to pull at Eddy's lips.

Eddy's eyes slipped closed, his form far more relaxed than it had been in a long while. Just as he was barely conscious, Eddy felt the Alpha's calloused hand slip underneath his shirt, palm gently cupping his still flat abdomen. The sensation filled Eddy with butterflies, his mind fighting the urge to rest his own hand over the jock's.

Within minuets, Eddy fell away into his dreams, only waking slightly when the red head shifted over him, the dull sound of a click echoing in his exhausted mind, as the soft glow just beyond his eye lids disappeared.

Eddy wasn't sure how he had managed it, but he had successfully pulled his frame out of the jock's limp arms without waking him. Eddy quietly walked around his room, changing clothes and getting ready, all the while, Kevin slept peacefully on his bed.

Now, he was just standing in front of his bed, mind contemplating on what to do. On one hand, the Alpha looked so peaceful he didn't want to disturb him, but, on the other hand, Kevin couldn't be left to wake up alone.

"Kevin," Eddy whispered, his hand coming up to gently shake the red head. When he got nothing in response, he repeated his actions, only slightly louder and harder. A tired hum came from Kevin as he was coaxed from his slumber.

"Kevin, it's almost 10 o'clock, I have a doctor's appointment at 12:30. You need to get up." Eddy said, his patience waning the more the red head ignored him.

Irritation setting in, Eddy grabbed his pillow, lifted it over his head, before bringing it down on Kevin's head. The Alpha jerked awake, a curse falling from his lips as he bolted upright. He tensed for several seconds before his tired brain caught up with his surroundings.

"What the hell, Eddy?" Kevin grumbled, hands raising to rub the sleep from his eyes.

"You weren't listening!" Eddy fired back, a sheepish smile coming to light when green eyes glared softly at him. With a yawn, Kevin stood from the bed, his body pulling taunt in a deep stretch. A loud, low rumble sounded unusually loud in the quiet room when Eddy's stomach chose that moment to make itself know. A soft blush stained Eddy's cheeks at the noise as Kevin chuckled.

"Shall we go eat?" Kevin questioned as he walked around the bed and over to the omega. Eddy said nothing, instead leading the red head through the house and into the kitchen. Eddy walked over to the fridge, pulling out a singular apple before plopping down at the kitchen island.

"What?" Eddy grumbled when Kevin starred hard at him.

"That's all your eating?" Kevin asked skeptically, a red eyebrow raising in question.

"Not like it matters," Eddy angrily mumbled after swallowing a mouthful of his apple, "It's just gonna come back up."

Kevin frowned, "That's not enough. You need more substance."

Eddy snorted before he waved off the red head's concern.

"At least eat a piece of toast." Kevin pleaded. Eddy looked the red head over for a moment, before nodding and getting ready to stand to make him some. A held up hand kept him in place, instead the jock wandered around his kitchen, pulling a loaf of bread from the pantry.

It was amusing, watching Kevin make him 'breakfast'. Eddy couldn't help the content smile that crossed his face. In less than five minutes, Kevin was pushing over a saucer with a piece of dry toast on it.

"What? No butter?" Eddy teased, surprised when the red head shook his head.

"I read that dry toast is good for you; it's easy to digest." Kevin said, his tone matter-of-fact.

"Oh?" Eddy questioned as he set down his half eaten apple to pick up his toast, "What else did it say?"

"Said citrus is good. Umm… don't eat big meals… eat carbs, especially crackers and shit." Kevin said nonchalantly, his hands making quick work of closing the loaf of bread before putting it back.

Eddy nibbled at his toast, his thoughts flooded with surprise at the Alpha in front of him. Kevin must have caught on because he gave Eddy a 'look'.

"What?" the jock asked, his hands leaning against the edge of the quartz countertop. The omega was quiet, simply raising an eyebrow in question.

"I just thought," Kevin began, nervously shifting his feet when Eddy just continued to stare at him, "I thought I'd do some research. Ya know, since we're having a baby and all."

"We?" he couldn't help that it slipped past his lips. Apparently, it was the wrong thing to say, as the red head looked offended, but, before he could go off on a tangent, Eddy broke out into a glowing smile. In a spur of the moment, Eddy dropped his toast back onto his saucer, form racing around the counter and into Kevin's arms. He lifted up onto his tiptoes, one arm yanking the collar of the red head down so he could smash his lips against the Alpha's.

The kiss was fierce, tongues battling in a steamy duel as they sought to claim the other. Hands caressed what they could of the other, the spice of arousal slipping into the air. Eddy gave a soft 'oomph' as he was pressed into the counter top, the Alpha's hands driving him crazy.

A surprised 'oh my' had them pulling apart, both forms panting slightly from their entanglement. Eddy felt he could melt into the floor from embarrassment.

"Did I interrupt something?" his mother questioned, a knowing smirk in her voice, causing Eddy's blush to deepen and Kevin to awkwardly clear his throat. His mother walked deeper into the room, a sly smile on her decorated lips as she observed the two teens In her kitchen.

"Eddy?" her voice light yet teasing, causing Eddy to hide his face into his hands.

Kevin shifted uncomfortably on his feet, "Mrs. Reese, how are you?"

He heard his mother snort in amusement, a breathy chuckle leaving her as she answered, "I'm doing well Kevin."

Eddy just shuffled back over to his plate of toast, choking down a large bite in an effort to avoid saying anything embarrassing, or stupid… mostly both.

"Eddy," his mother called him, voice a little more firm and a little less teasing. Weary blue eyes looked up at his mother, "I take it he's the father?"

A timid shake of his head and he watched as a sincere smiled bloomed across her features. She walked over to Kevin's towering frame and pulled his stiff body into a hug. Kevin looked at Eddy, eyes pleading for some kind of direction, of which Eddy had none. In the end, Kevin loosely hugged the enthusiastic woman back before he stepped away to put some space between them.

"I always had a feeling you two would end up together." She teased. Eddy flinched at her statement, a feeling of longing choking the air around him.

"We're not together." Eddy said quietly, his distant eyes staring blankly at the kitchen counter in an effort to avoid his mother's gaze. He knew his mother was frowning, could hear it in her voice when she muttered a quiet 'Oh'. Eddy thanked every deity listening when his mother wisely chose to remain silent.

"Are you going with us to the appointment today?"

Kevin heaved a hefty sigh before slowly shaking his head in the negative. Eddy tried not to show how much that actually hurt, but he was sure his mother caught onto his pain. She frowned, steeled eyes catching Kevin's green ones for a moment before he broke contact.

"Eddy, dear; why don't you go get yourself ready." She said it so sweetly, almost sickeningly so. Eddy looked at his mother confused, eyes glancing down at his dressed form before raising a brow at his mother. At her harsh stare, Eddy scrambled off the stool, muttering about brushing his teeth before disappearing back down into his room.

"Kevin," her voice firm, but not harsh. Kevin looked at the woman, uncertainty shinning in his eyes, "Today marks a very important part of Eddy's pregnancy. It's the end of his first trimester."

Kevin flinched backwards, an unknown ache settling into his chest as he imagined missing the entire first part of his child's creation. Eddy's mother lightened her tone, her eyes softening as she watched him wage a silent war.

"I'm not telling you that you have to go, or that you need to be involved. You're old enough to make your own life choices," she started, her smaller frame walking over to him to place a comforting hand on his shoulder, "I just need you to choose. If you plan to be here for Eddy, then you need to be here wholeheartedly. It's not fair, to either of you, to pop in and out of his life if you have no plans to stay."

With her part said, Eddy's mother turned to the abandoned plate, picking it up and carrying it to the sink. She heard shuffling behind her and when she turned back around, Eddy was just reemerging from his room. He petite frame froze momentarily, a deep lingering pain crossing his features at the lack of his alpha's presence.

Eddy's mother gave her son a soft, gentle smile as she moved to comfort her son. Eddy pulled away though, face steeling into stone as he brushed past his mother to get ready to leave. As a courtesy, Eddy's mother tried to ignore the few straggling tears that dripped down Eddy's cheek.
