Batgirl
Joker had been unusually inactive since Batman's dissapearance, Batgirl knew where he was of course, but she couldn't help but feel suspicious of the clown prince's sudden stop in crime.
It was why she routinely checked the warehouse Joker publicly stayed in, his own little villain base.
She'd done a check every night for an entire year, making sure nothing strange was going on, and besides moving some crates and storing them, Joker hadn't been doing any crimes.
So imagine her surprise at seeing the younger-looking version of Joker perched up on a rooftop, watching Joker's goons do their weekly storage runs. Just what was the clown even planning?
She could tell the boy was young, he was either a fan of Joker or...
She gagged at the thought that crossed her mind. Joker having a son? Even imagining the villain copulating was enough to make her barf.
She sat one building behind the copycat while he ate chocolate and kicked his legs back and forth, clearly, he was just as serious as The Joker was, she'd watch him all night instead of doing her usual runs...
Victor Marrows(Jester)
As night descended upon Brockton Bay I found myself perched on a rooftop peering down at a warehouse near the docks. The salted caramel dark chocolate in my hand melted as I watched the shadows below. The henchmen of Joker seemed occupied moving crates, probably weapons and drugs inside. It felt like the time for an entrance.
It had taken me 10 minutes to get to the rooftop of the building, kind of embarrassing if I'm being honest. It was necessary though, comics always had heroes sitting on rooftops watching the bad guys, I can't break tradition.
The warehouse stood adorned with graffiti, its walls bearing the marks of neglect over the years. With its weathered appearance, it resembled a relic from a time when industry thrived rather than a current hotspot for criminal activities. Smiles were painted all over it. The Joker was anything but subtle.
The night air was crisp, carrying hints of saltwater mingled with the odor of oil from the nearby docks all underlined by faint notes of rust and decay. Each breath tasted of dampness and metal a contrast to the refined streets downtown.
"This city is so shit, if I wanted to breathe in cancer I'd huff Sharpies again. The guild couldn't have gotten rid of pollution?
You used to live in California, isn't Smog normal for you?
I scowled at Lily's words, dirty air was dirty air, you can't just get used to it.
I sighed as I savored the piece of chocolate in my mouth relishing the intense bittersweet flavor that engulfed me. Chocolate used to be a pleasure, a small act of defiance against my strict and uptight parents. Now it was my only source of food.
While I always found it lame to go out at night, this night was different, special even. It was my moment to shine, to step out into this new world and start my life. But fuck this shit was annoying. In a world of heroes and villains and godlike beings destroying shit, there were still weapons and drug dealers? Get a life.
Joker wouldn't even be in my line of sight if I didn't want to be mistaken as his fan, or his son or something. It was the first thought when I had made my suit appear(Tricksters Gambit is pretty useful) and I wanted to prevent that before I made myself public.
Below me, the goons carried on with their tasks unaware of my eyes. Their actions were precise and calm indicating they were well-practiced in their routines. Observing their movements closely I noted their efficiency and military-like precision. They reminded me of the high school drones I used to send out to fight when a new lookism chapter was up. They were all way more impressive though.
My custom-made outfit was a blend of colors, red, green, and black mostly. The soft jingle of the bells attached to my attire added to it all, creating an interesting contrast with the more serious look of the costume. It actually helped calm down that little voice in my head that kept telling me to do weird shit. Like, jump off this building headfirst just to see if it would hurt.
Spinning a card atop my finger, I guided it down below me, sending the rest with it as I used them like stairs. Why hadn't I done this to get on top of the rooftop? I don't fucking know.
Approaching the side entrance of the warehouse I noticed it was unlocked. Quite careless on their part. It seemed like the Joker's reputation for chaos included his security measures. He clearly wanted people to come after him.
I peeked inside the large warehouse, noting a few of the goons I saw earlier standing idly and talking.
Stepping inside my footsteps made no sound on the floor. The interior was dimly lit with tall shelves casting shadows that reached out like dark claws over the concrete ground. I could hear their voices now, metallic clinks and occasional laughter echoing through the space.
It was kind of exciting sneaking through so stealthily, where else could I enjoy this type of movie bullshit. A group of men stood around a table displaying an array of weapons like a display at a market stall. Handguns, rifles, and some items that appeared to be explosives.
"I heard he wants them delivered by midnight," remarked one of the thugs with a scar across his cheek.
"What about the buyer? The one from out of town?" another asked anxiously.
Taking cover behind a stack of crates I listened in on their conversation closely. I didn't care about any of this, I just needed to take down Joker and destroy the base. I wanted Harley Quinn, she's hot and I want her, but I think I'll let her stew a bit, when Harley is under Joker's thumb she's not nearly as bearable.
Don't fret Harley, I'll kill your boyfriend so you can go find yourself...
I looked at the six men once again, spinning a few cards above my hand. It seemed like they were making a delivery tonight, and Joker was famously known for staying at this warehouse. If they left I could take down any stragglers and then Joker himself, but for once... I'd need to be smart.
I was hoping to try and get my feeble body quest done here as well. Make some noise and just take all their hits, but I had one problem.
No matter who it is or how fast they are, I can't be hit by a melee attack. So feeble body quest would be a bit harder. I almost wanted to just get someone to shoot me 100 times in the legs or something, I'd eventually heal from it after all...
I shook my head, letting the crazy thought disappear as I refocused on the men, noticing one disappeared from the table.
'Fuck... He's right behind me isn't he?' I thought as I turned swiftly. All alone... Guess those tropes don't apply here.
The man sporting a scar exuded an air of authority his demeanor commanding respect. Flanking him were two identical men, possibly brothers, their eyes scanning the warehouse with unease. They appeared on edge, as if ready to react if something went wrong.
My attention shifted to the end of the room where a large crate brimmed with firearms and ammunition lay open. It was kind of cool, all those weapons just there for the taking. A collection fit for chaos.
Fuck, get out of my head.
Amidst the arsenal, a man stood looking down at them, clearly waiting for someone. He had a slender figure adorned with vibrant green hair, his eyes sunken in and his skin looking pasty from the white makeup he wore.
This figure was none other than Smiley, the young teenage right-hand man of The Joker his face etched with scars and an unsettling grin that mocked any semblance of happiness.
I had to look at his Wiki page to make sure it wasn't the same smiley I was thinking of, and thankfully it wasn't. Smiley is a known master who controls people's mind by stamping them with his smiley stamps.
It was kind of scary to think about, this guy had every crime under his belt, with more murders and rapes than I bothered to search up.
"About the buyer " Smiley spoke up his voice blending with the background noise "hes looking for top notch quality. The Joker doesn't tolerate errors. Are we clear on that?"
The men just nodded, clearly uncomfortable with Smiley's prescence.
A surge of excitement coursed through me. This was my moment. Bringing down Smiley would be pretty fun, and once Joker showed up I'd get rid of the bastard.
Only room for one clown-themed cape around here, fuck these other guys.
Shifting my stance I readied myself to act. Just as I was about to throw my cards smiley turned his head upward.
With a breath, I propelled myself into motion. The first card soared through the air cutting through the light before piercing into the throat of the nearest thug.
He fell down with a gasp desperately grabbing at his throat. As the top of the warehouse broke through.
Pandemonium broke loose. The men frantically reached for their weapons, cries of alarm reverberating through the warehouse. I acted swiftly playing another card from my hand that struck one of the brothers in the chest. He collapsed to the ground his eyes wide with surprise.
"Who is that?" Scarface shouted, snatching a rifle and whirling around to face me. Our eyes met and I smirked before he crumpled down.
I immediately noticed the figure in front of me, batgirl. Well, a lifelike version of her, only watched the animated shows.
She looked down at me as she lunged at the second brother, smashing her fist repeatedly into the man's nose until he crumpled to the ground as well.
"This is kind of surprising, I was hoping no one would see me like this," I said with a sigh, turning my attention to Smiley as dozens of men came rushing into the area with their guns pointed at the two of us.
"Alright let's do thi-" I paused as my body flipped, dodging Batgirl's vicious kick.
She stepped forward as I landed, punching and kicking me as the men began to surround us, their guns beginning to make me nervous.
"Not that this isn't exciting, but why are you attacking me?" I asked, smiling as I ducked under her kick and grabbed her arm.
Pulling her down I slammed my knee into her ribs, kicking her legs out from under her and slamming her into the ground.
I couldn't help but smile, feeling the adrenaline rush throughout my veins.
"Who are you? Why are you dressed like my god!" Smiley yelled, grabbing one of the grenades sitting in front of him.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance bro," I replied, evading behind a stack of crates as bullets whizzed past me. "I've just come to say hello."
Batgirl slammed her fist into my arm as I held onto her, trying to escape my grasp.
"You're really fucking this up," I said, kind of annoyed. This was supposed to be simple, take down a few losers before they got their guns, but she had distracted me with her short tantrum.
The only reason I wasn't knocking her out now was because her hits were actually registering for my feeble body quest.
"Keep hitting me for a bit, just found a loophole," I told her as she continued kicking and punching at my body. Guess if I'm holding them down there's no way for me to dodge. I wonder if I'm restrained can I still dodge?
"Alright it's starting to hurt," I said after a few more hits, letting her go and throwing her behind me as I took out all of my cards.
Emerging from my hiding spot with the bells on my outfit jingling softly I let them surge forward, lodging their points into each of the thug's necks. The last card hit its target causing another thug to fall as Smiley looked at me.
Smiley observed me with a calculating stare. He remained stationary at his table, his hands still grasping the grenade. "If you were a fan of the boss you only needed to say so, no need to do all this, you're hired."
I paused at that. Did I need to change up the costume a bit? I thought it looked pretty badass but Joker's own henchmen started mistaking me for a fan, fuck that…
"The Joker wouldn't appreciate you speaking for him," I said with a smirk, calling back all my cards as I saw his fingers twitch. "Where I come from it's not even all that uncommon to die, I encouraged it. As a leader myself, I doubt he'd want lackeys like you making decisions… I'm just here for Justice."
Boom. Batman's gone so I can steal his phrase, it just makes sense. Justice for what? Fuck if I know.
Suddenly, Scarface was up, aiming his AK straight at me and unleashing a barrage of bullets in my direction.
I used my cards to push me back quickly, crouching behind some of the crates as I held up an unconscious thug.
Now that I thought about how many of these guys did I kill? Fuck.
"Why do you continue this nonsense boy? Do you truly want to die?" Smiley asked as the gunfire let up.
I sat there for a second before smiling to myself. "Why? It's just fun. This game just seems so fun."
Rising onto one knee I held a card in my hand swiftly hurling it with precision towards Scarface, watching as it embedded itself in his shoulder. His cries filled the room as he dropped his weapon and clutched at the wound.
The other conscious henchmen hesitated, their confidence faltering. Fear and uncertainty in their eyes as Scarface screamed.
With a sneer, Smiley taunted, "Fun? Do you think you can just stroll in and try and take us down for fun? The Joker has ruled this city for years! He's a god! You're nothing but a wannabe! A mere copycat who wants to appear edgy!" Smiley yelled, tearing the pin from the grenade and throwing it in my direction.
Tonight was already shit because Batgirl fucked up my plan, now this guy was throwing around grenades. I pulled two of the unconscious thugs up and crouched behind them, clenching my jaw in preparation for the blast.
Boom!
The blast pushed me back, I could feel the heat as the sound of sizzling flesh reached my ears. If they weren't dead already my thug shield definitely was now.
"Hey! Grenades are dangerous!" I yelled out, coughing as I looked over my shields while Smiley was holding another grenade.
"Yo look, my bad bro, I didn't even mean to come here, all that Justice talk? It was bullshit... Let me go yeah?"
Smiley just smiled as he pulled the pin off another grenade.
'Trip'
I chuckled to myself as I held my thug shields close, laying behind a crate as the explosion went off.
Smiley's screams were the first thing I heard once the ringing stopped, cursing and screaming for 'His god' to save him.
I chuckled softly, the sound reverberating through the now quiet warehouse.
"Fuck, I don't know why I'm laughing, this shit's disgusting," I said as I laughed, dropping the thugs and walking over to Smiley's body.
His arm was destroyed, torn up, and charred with pieces of metal stabbed into it, the rest of his body wasn't doing much better, his face was now blown off, I could clearly see of his skull as he yelled.
"Hey," I said, smacking his cheek and then grimacing as I got his blood on my hands. "Where's the Joker at?"
He let out a growl. Attempting to strike back with his fucked up hand. How he had the awareness I don't know, but I guess he was tougher than I thought. I swiftly evaded his attack. Delivered a sharp knee to his midsection. He heaved in pain as I punched his shoulder, dislocating it quickly.
I grabbed his burnt-up shirt, smacking his face so he didn't pass out. He was probably gonna die tonight anyway, but I need my answer first.
"The Joker, where's he at?" I asked once again.
Smiley shook in pain as I frowned. He was too out of it now, his earlier attack was his last-ditch effort.
"Fuuuuuck" I groaned, dropping him and standing up. The warehouse was a mess of blood and unconscious/dead thugs.
I guess I could save them, that would be pretty heroic. Saving the bad guys even after they tried to kill me?
I sighed as I looked at Batgirl, coming out of her hiding spot and holding two batarangs, clearly glaring at me.
"Looking for your father huh? Who knew The Joker would have a cape son…" She said as if she was putting the pieces together.
"Are you going to attack me or should we get these guys out of here?" I asked, not even bothering to deny her claims.
"Why? So you can escape?" She growled, throwing two of her batarangs at me.
I stood still. Well, I stood still until they both hit me in the chest making me groan and jump back.
'Forgot throwing shit doesn't count as melee…' I thought to myself as she threw another one.
"Fuck this," I said to myself as I rushed forward, dodging the Batarang and landing in front of Batgirl with the queen of hearts facing toward her.
"I'll take you out later," I promised as she was sucked into the card.
I needed to hurry this up, if Joker wasn't showing up yet then he probably wasn't here.
Why would someone say he's always hanging out at this warehouse if that wasn't true? I thought everything on the internet was real…
Sighing to myself at my ruined debut I dragged the thugs who were still alive outside, leaving the dead ones inside the warehouse.
Thankfully these guys had a good amount of gasoline and explosives, so once I was finished I poured gas everywhere and grabbed a few grenades.
"Well, I'll get Joker next time-"
My words caught in my throat, my smile dropping as I looked down at the new hole in the side of my body, dripping blood.
"Fuck…" I said as I dropped to my knees, the bullet wound searing as I fell, looking behind me at the skinny man with a gun pointed at me.
"Oh hey, you're joker right?" I said, coughing a bit. He hadn't hit anything vital, so hopefully I could stall and have this heal up.
Demigod blood was very useful, but I'm pretty sure feeble body limited it.
"Hehehehehehe… Are you a fan?" The high-pitched voice said next to my ear, getting white makeup on my skin. "Now why would you come to my home and do all of this? I had an oh-so-very important customer coming tonight… Guess I'll need to clean up."
"Wait!" I yelled, feeling the gun drive into my back, right above my heart. "I'm your son, sir, I just wanted to prove to you that I shouldn't be neglected… I'm sorry, I just... I just wanted to meet my father."
Fucking bullshit obviously, but batgirls words were fresh in my mind so improvise I will.
Joker was quiet as I let my head down on the cold cement, breathing in gasoline fumes.
"My son?" Joker said hesitantly. Not gonna lie, I was 99% sure he would kill me immediately, but the son shit was actually working?
"M-My son... Dick?" Joker's voice got deeper as I frowned, did he just call me a dick.
Joker dropped the gun, the piece weaponry falling next to me. I looked over to see Joker grabbing his head as an ear-splitting scream escaped his lips.
I pushed myself up, trying to ignore the pain as I watched the Joker flicker back and forth between two forms.
The Joker I recognized, and then… Batman?
The man grew in muscle right in front of my eyes, breathing heavily and wearing a suit that resembled the Arkham games.
He stayed on the floor, breathing heavily as my frown deepened.
This was… Strange.
I understand the world is more chaotic and weird, evil even, but this shit? What even is this?
"Yeah… You know what, I'm good, you got this," I said quickly, limping away from Batman before stopping as I felt his strong hand grab my ankle.
'Lily it hasn't even been a full 24 hours yet, this is stupid,' I thought with a sigh as I looked back, the man stared up at me.
"You… Who are you?" He said before passing out at my feet.
"Oh fuck off, like I'm the one who just appeared," I said, sighing to myself as I looked around at the warehouse before continuing what I'd been doing before getting shot.
I grabbed the two grenades I had earlier, storing the unconscious Batman in a card before walking out of the warehouse and tossing both of them back in. Gotta get those quest rewards after all.
I moved as fast as I could, quickly jumping next to the unconscious men as the warehouse blew up, several explosions went off as the warehouse was blown apart.
The wreckage sprayed everywhere, even slamming into a few of the survivors I had collected, what a waste of time since they died anyway.
As the fire raged I rushed off, changing my appearance to something completely different. Didn't want anyone to think I was the one that killed them.

'What the fuck Lily? Video uploaded?' I asked, only to be met with silence as I rushed home, time to leave...
I stumbled into my new mansion, falling on the floor with a sigh, I was still bleeding pretty badly, that was one of the things tricksters Gambit couldn't fix. No matter how I changed my clothes or my body there would still be injuries and blood.
Breathing heavily I made my clothes disappear, staring at my naked body.
I had bruises on my wrists and knuckles one on my knee, and two on my chest.
In total, I had managed to take 65 hits tonight. Not bad, but definitely not what I wanted.
The fact I was bruised up from attacking was insane, and it had counted as me getting hit! If I'd known that I wouldn't have used the cards and just finished the quest right away.
I walked into the bathroom, the mansion Lily had gifted me was decked out with anything someone would need. The fridge was always full, there was medical supplies in each bathroom as well as a first aid kit in the kitchen, and it had a flat-screen TV that definitely wasn't out yet in this time period.
I grimaced as I stuffed gauze into my bullet hole wound. Hopefully, the bullet had successfully come out, if it had shattered and spread apart inside of me I was fucked no matter how I dressed the wound.
I placed ice on all my bruises as I lay down, still breathing heavily but successfully wrapped up, the bleeding had even stopped.
"Yeah Lily, fuck this. What even is this world?" I asked aloud. Waiting for a bit before I rolled my eyes at the lack of an answer and promptly closed my eyes.
…
The darkness enveloped everything, swallowing all traces of light. I found myself amid a landscape with cracked earth beneath my feet. A chilling wind whispered through the air carrying echoes of distress and cries for help. The sky above was a pitch-black void, no stars or moon bearing down on me.
Taking a step forward the crunch of earth under my boots echoed in the silence. As I advanced the ground shifted to reveal hands emerging from below their bony fingers reaching out as if trying to drag me into the depths. I recoiled at the sight as a wave of fear coursing through me.
A sudden movement caught my attention. I turned to see a distant figure. A woman with her back turned to me. Her hair was. Unkempt her clothes torn and stained with blood hanging loosely on her frail body, like rags. She stood still head bowed as if lost in sorrow.
"Hello?" I called out into the emptiness; my voice reverberated hauntingly around us. She remained silent and unmoving. I moved a step closer to her my heart racing in my chest.
As I approached the air turned colder sending shivers down my spine. The ground beneath me felt alive, shifting and moving beneath my feet. When the woman lifted her head slowly a wave of relief washed over me. Until she turned to look at me.
Her eyes were grey, glassy, and devoid of all emotion as she stared back at me. Her pale skin was almost see-through, tightly stretched over her face. Her mouth hung open in a scream with cracked and bleeding lips. Raising a bony hand she pointed directly at me while emitting a guttural sound.
Fear took hold of me as I stumbled backward breathing heavily. The ground cracked open beneath me causing me to fall into darkness. Amidst the fall I heard voices calling out my name.
I hit the ground hard. Feeling every bone in my body jarred by the impact. After lying for a moment in confusion I managed to push myself up onto my hands and knees.
I found myself in a hallway the walls looming close and stifling adorned with old rusted pipes oozing a thick dark substance.
The whispers intensified, growing more persistent and filling my mind with their murmurs. I tried to block them out by covering my ears with my hands. Their presence persisted relentlessly within me delving deep into my thoughts.
With effort, I managed to stand up and move forward through the corridor. The walls appeared to be closing in on me as the ceiling descended, forcing me to stoop and struggle to move ahead. The air was heavy and noxious making each breath a choking ordeal.
As I turned a corner my steps came to a halt. In front of me loomed a mirror adorned with intricate designs but marred by cracks and bloodstains. I gazed at my reflection only to see a distorted monstrous version of myself staring back—an image with eyes and an unnaturally wide grin that revealed razor-sharp, blood-stained teeth.
"Victor " it whispered in a husky tone that mimicked mine but carried a mocking undertone.
"Look at what you've turned into."
I attempted to shift my gaze but found myself unable to move. The reflection inched closer placing its hands on the glass. "There's no running " it murmured softly. "You're trapped forever."
The glass cracked open as the reflection emerged, materializing into reality. It stood over me, a sinister grin stretching across its face as it clutched my throat with a grip as unyielding as iron stealing my breath.
A wave of darkness enveloped me dragging me down into an abyss of despair and desolation. The murmurs escalated into cries of agony and torment from voices.
Just when I believed I had reached my breaking point I suddenly found myself back in the warehouse in the middle of the bodies of those I had slain. Their accusing gazes pierced through me while their silent lips moved as if attempting to convey a message.
My hands were drenched in liquid, the red hue staining my skin and dripping onto the floor below. Despite my efforts to wipe it away the blood only smudged further until it consumed every inch of me.
The figures started to stir standing up with their lifeless gazes fixed on me. Their decaying hands reached out their fingers clawing into my skin as they dragged me into a pit filled with squirming, rotting bodies. Their cries echoed in my ears and the smell of decay engulfed me.
I tried to scream, yet no sound escaped my lips. I felt like I was being swallowed by death suffocating under the burden of my remorse and dread.
Suddenly I found myself back, in bed soaked in sweat with my heart pounding. The room spun around me. I barely made it to the bathroom before retching violently the acidic bile burning my throat as I emptied my stomach.
I crumpled onto the tile floor struggling for air as my mind continued to reel from the terrifying dream. The haunting images lingered at the edge of my sight refusing to dissipate.
As I lay on the tile floor struggling to catch my breath the grip of the nightmare on my mind was still strong a faint shuffling noise emanated from the dark bathroom. I glanced up anticipating the night's silent company but what I witnessed sent chills down my spine.
A figure emerged from the shadows dragging its feet along the floor. It was me—the zombie-like version of myself. Its eye sockets were oozing black liquid and its skin had a sickly gray hue with open wounds and decaying flesh. The grin on its face was wide. Crazed, mirroring the haunting reflection in the mirror.
I frantically moved backward as my heart raced in my chest. There was no escape route. The bathroom was a space, nowhere to run as the advancing horror blocked the door. Pressed against the wall my mind raced for a way to escape, I shivered.
The zombified me drew nearer its decayed fingers reaching out eagerly. "Jester~ " it croaked with an imitation of my voice. "You cannot evade mehehehe..."
I attempted to shout for help. Fear constricted my throat, silencing me. The creature's hand gripped my ankle firmly, pulling me towards it with impossible strength. I kicked out in desperation my foot striking its face. It showed no reaction. Instead, it tightened its hold on me. Drew me closer with a force that contradicted its decaying form.
"Let me go!" I finally managed to cry out the sound reverberating through the walls. "This is not real! You're not real! It's all a dream asshole!" I yelled, finally realizing I had fallen asleep.
The zombie's grin widened, exposing rows of shattered teeth stained with blood. "Oh, but I am" it hissed. "Realer than you... How can the Jester scream? How can The Jester have fear?"
In a violent movement, it pounced on me, clawing at my clothes and flesh with its hands. A searing pain shot through me as its fingers pierced my abdomen tearing through skin and muscle effortlessly. My scream echoed in agony and terror.
"Body! Give me a body! Revenge, I need revenge!" It yelled, repeating the same sentence over and over again.
Blood flowed from the wound, sticky forming a pool, around me as the zombie continued its gruesome assault.
It felt like a tug deep inside me as if someone was unraveling my insides with a curious detachment almost resembling a child taking apart a toy. The excruciating pain was overwhelming, a blazing fire consuming me whole causing me to gasp and choke on my cries.
I attempted to resist to push the sensation but my strength quickly waned. My vision grew hazy with spots swirling at the corners of my eyes. The last image I glimpsed before succumbing to darkness was the zombie's expressionless face, its vacant eyes locking onto mine with a sense of satisfaction.
I jolted awake abruptly drenched in sweat the echoes of my screams reverberating in my ears. The bathroom had vanished, replaced by the sight of my bedroom. I reached for my stomach half expecting to find a gaping wound but felt nothing—no blood or pain—only the lingering terror from the nightmare.
Unsteady on my feet, I stumbled out of bed. Shuffling over towards the bathroom. The chilly tile floor served as a reminder of the nightmare. I waited a while, making sure I was actually awake before fully entering the bathroom.
I made my way to the sink. Quickly splashing cold water on my face hoping to cleanse myself of the lingering traces of fear and unease that seemed to stick to my skin.
"Fucking hell..." I whispered, still breathing heavily as I wiped myself off. At the very least, I hadn't thrown up this time.
"You there Lily?" I called out. Still no answer, my system admin clearly was taking some time off.
Sitting on my bed I brought out 5 cards, three held the Powerpuff Girls, and the other two had two members of the Bat-family.
The designs on the cards had been replaced with a picture of each character, posed like it was a movie poster with their names at the bottom.
I softly ran my fingers over the surfaces contemplating my steps. This world was starting to get fucked, that Batman/joker shit had really thrown me for a loop. He'd have to stay in there for a while. I'd bring Batgirl out today, she most likely has allies and other heroes who would notice her disappearance, but first...
"Time to wake up girls..." I whispered to myself as I focused on the cards showcasing the Powerpuff Girls. With a flash of light, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup materialized in my room their expressions a mix of confusion and anger.
"Where have you brought us?" questioned Blossom her eyes scanning the room.
"What's going on?" asked Bubbles with a touch of unease, in her voice.
"Who do you think you are?" Buttercup growled fists clenched and ready, for a confrontation.
"Woah, as much as I'd love to have a foursome right now we have more pressing matters girls..." I said, smiling as I raised my hands. It didn't seem like they remembered much about our fight the other day. I had checked and I'd slept for nearly two days now, not good.
"Wait, it's that bastard that killed prof-"
"No, I didn't, can't you guys tell when you're being controlled by now? Didn't the monkey do something like that?" I asked, sighing. I didn't want to deal with them attacking me again, I just needed some maids.
"Like we'd believe you!" Buttercup said with a growl, ready to lunge at me until bubbles spoke up.
"He's telling the truth, I was wondering why you guys had attacked him before, but Dad was alive when that strange light had swallowed us up." Bubbles said quietly, looking at her sisters.
Thank you, Lily fucking thank you. If I had to fight again I might have just killed them instead of wasting my time.
Blossom and Buttercup looked at their sister, clearly still skeptical but less aggressive since she had said it and not me.
"Then send us back, The Professor needs us," Buttercup spoke up.
"I can't send you guys back right now," I explained, trying my best to seem regretful, my voice calm yet urgent. "I may be able to bring him here in time. If you guys haven't guessed, this is a different world than the one you are used to, a whole different reality."
Buttercup was the only one who seemed surprised by that, the other two looked like they had guessed. Maybe their universe was animated?
Blossom folded her arms her gaze intense. "Why should we trust you? Why would you bring him to this world?" She asked suspiciously.
I just shrugged. "It's not because I'm a nice guy, but I could use your services, this mansion could use a few maids, plus it'd be nice to have my own team just in case…" I said thoughtfully, thinking of other people I could grab early to join.
Canon started about a week from now, Taylor already had her abilities… I kind of felt bad for her when I read this story, but was she good enough to actually join me? Maybe for some recon… She also managed to become a major player later on…
The three girls look at me as I think, and I snap out of my plans, focusing on the matter at hand.
I paused, inhaling deeply to convey sincerity. "I understand your skepticism. Consider this; if my intentions were malicious I wouldn't have gone through all this effort. I seek allies to help me. If you agree to support me I assure you that I will reunite your father with you permanently. Even if you can't go back to your world."
That's as sincere as it was gonna get, any more pushback and I'd just lock them back in the cards for a little.
Buttercup stepped closer her fists still clenched but her stance less confrontational. "What exactly is this team? Why would you need allies?" She asked.
Motioning towards some chairs in the room I invited them to sit down. "Please take a seat. Allow me to clarify everything."
With hesitation, they seated themselves their expressions cautious. Taking a moment to collect my thoughts I proceeded to outline my aspirations.
"I am establishing a power dynamic here, in Brockton Bay. This is my hometown. In this world, there are a bunch of people with abilities like you guys, but a lot of them are pretty evil, maybe more than I thought actually."
I thought back to Batman and sighed inwardly, can't wait for all the surprises waiting for me.
"This city is filled with crime, corruption, and disorder running rampant. My goal is to establish order... Actually, fuck it, establish control. I plan to do so in a manner that benefits both me and my allies. Guess it's a PVE? It's me vs. everyone."
Blossom squinted skeptically. "So you're another villain trying to seize all the power for himself?"
"Nope," I responded. "I see myself as a kind of player. I aim to manage the chaos while also striving for improvement. Consider me a necessary force for change. Who else to manage chaos but chaos incarnate?"
What the fuck was I saying? I shook my head a bit, silencing that voice before looking back at the three girls.
Bubbles chimed in, her voice gentle yet stern. "You can truly bring our father here?"
I nodded, "Indeed. I possess the means to traverse dimensions. It will require time and effort. It's within my capabilities. However, I require your loyalty and support. I got you guys here just fine, it's only a matter of time before your father joins us…"
It seemed like they would agree, they huddled up, whispering amongst each other before they looked back at me.
Blossom exchanged glances with her siblings. "We need proof. Something that verifies your… ability."
The fuck? Isn't it enough that they're here?
I stayed silent for a moment, then smiled. "Do you guys have comics in your world? Specifically Dc?"
Buttercup, despite her hostility, brightened up at that. "You read comics? Who's your favorite character?" She asked excitedly as I took out a card.
"Plastic man, but I'm not strong enough to summon him…" I let Batgirl out of the card, she dropped to the floor, sputtering and looking at the four of us as Buttercup brightened up.
All three of them seemed to recognize the heroine.
"Batgirl! So DC is a real world as well?" Buttercup yelled, hugging the heroine close as Batgirl narrowed her eyes at me.
"Who are you people, where's…" She paused, looking at me for a full minute before she jumped up, batarangs in her hands.
"It's you, you're brave showing me your face son of Joker," She hissed as the powerpuff girls looked between us.
"Geez, people need to stop saying that already," I said with a sigh, not wanting to fight again.
"Do you girls agree?" I asked, looking at the three. They nodded in unison. They clearly didn't trust me, but who else could help them?
"Then can you subdue her for a bit? At least until she lets me explain," I say.
They pause for half a beat before Bubbles grabs Batgirl pinning her to the ground.
'Battle maids, fuck yes…'
"They're capes too?" Batgirl says, groaning as she struggles under Bubbles's grip.
"Something like that… Now will you let me explain or what? I'd hate to have to scar that pretty little face..." I say, ignoring the voice inside of me that was telling me to ravage her. These sins are so strange.
Batgirl struggles for a little while until she finally relaxes, realizing she's not getting out of Bubble's grip.
"Fine… Explain," She said, glaring at me with absolute hate in her eyes.
I explained everything, even adding some of my tragic past from this world to gain sympathy.
She visibly relaxed, to be honest, I expected her to continue her struggles or completely deny my story.
"Lie detection and advanced agility," Batgirl said, seeing my confused stare.
"Hm?"
"My abilities, I can tell you aren't lying…" She said softly. "What did you do with the Joker? Did you kill him?"
I shrugged, "I don't think so to be honest, I took him down somewhat, but he's probably not dead," I said after a little. I could tell her the truth but it's not like she's my partner or anything, I can keep it to myself unless it becomes a problem.
I only didn't say yes since she said she could tell lies from the truth. No clue how true that is, but in this weird ass world anything is possible. Would that be a thinker power? I could always test that later to see if I'm immune.
"Anyway… Can you leave? I still need to train the girls and try and get beat up," I said after a moment of silence.
She looked like she was going to say something, but nodded her head anyway before I led her to the door.
"Wait. If you leave in costume that could be bad for me… Plus you'll see my house, I'll just put you back and throw you somewhere," I said before she could protest and trapped her back in the Queen of Hearts.
I don't need The Batfamily in my life, this life is already guaranteed to be fucked I'm not adding them to the mix.
But it would be fun…
"Quiet," I said aloud shaking my head as I threw my card out the door, I floated it a few blocks down until it was just out of merchants' territory, right on the line where the ghouls hunted. Once there I released her and brought my card back, it's nice having a psychic connection to them.
"Alright, with that out of the way, are you guys in or out? That should be good enough proof that people from other worlds can come here right?"
Hopefully, they never got phones, if they saw all the other Dc characters would they just assume I was lying and turn on me? Yeah, definitely need to make a contingency plan just in case.
The three still seemed hesitant, but Blossom sighed and held out her hand.
"We'll help you… But if it turns out you're lying I'll kill you myself," She finished as I shook her hand.
"Can't wait cutie," I said absentmindedly before looking at the other two. "Then let's get started!"
I bought some sexy maid uniforms from the guild market, thankfully they were pretty cheap, 3 for 100 GC. The Guild were all perverts.
"Um, what are these?" Buttercup said, blushing as she held her new uniform in her hand.
I just shrugged. "Need a good reason for you guys to be around me when I start getting more attention, if I tell people here that you're from a different world they'll probably try and kill you. They don't take well to other worlds meddling in theirs…"
Bubbles just dropped her clothes and began to change, much to my viewing pleasure. If she didn't have shame I wasn't going to look away, though that Sin of Lust was definitely becoming a more dominant part of my head, silencing the others completely as it urged me to grab her.
Shaking my head I pulled out my phone and wallet. I didn't have much money left, luckily I didn't pay any utilities for the mansion but still.
I have three extra people in the house now that I'd need to feed, and unfortunately buy real clothes for.
Hero work is notoriously unfulfilling, and after killing those thugs I doubted many people see me as a hero, probably a vigilante if anything.
I needed a way to make some money, and quickly.
"Why is there only chocolate in the fridge?" Buttercup asked, looking at the stacks of chocolate bars and squares in the refrigerator as she bent down, her maid outfit not covering her plain black panties.
It was a nice view, but it only made The Sin of Lust that much louder.
"I can't eat normal food, my body only accepts and digests chocolate," I answered easily, bending over with her to look at my rations.
"Should we go grocery shopping master~?" Bubbles said in a teasing voice, suddenly next to me.
My brain froze, the word was so hot. Obviously, this is what I intended with the maid uniforms, just didn't think it would turn me on that much.
"U-Uh yeah," I managed to get out. "You three go grocery shopping with what's left on this card…" I was going to tell them to change but either of their two outfits would be revealing, their normal ones would be seen as obvious hero costumes, so the maid outfits were better believe it or not.
"Try not to cause any trouble, buy yourselves some food and toiletries, you won't be using any of my shampoo or conditioner," I said, handing the card over to Blossom who was blushing and looking angry.
"Yes sir," Bubbles said, smiling as she grabbed the card.
"The store is about three blocks away, two lefts and a right then it's right in front of you," I said as they left.
It was nice getting them so easily, I'd worry about lust later, for now, I had something else that was bothering me.
I released Batman from the card, watching him fall on the floor at my feet as he began to stir awake.
"Hello Batman, how's it hanging?"
Bonus: The Powerpuff's False Memories
Blossom
The world had gone to shit, anyone with eyes could see that. Their world had long since changed from the flowery safe world where they could go and fight supervillains as children.
By the time they were 13, their father had forbidden them from crime fighting, and Blossom was beginning to get bored.
She didn't know why, but she wanted to patrol and go out on a mission again, she wanted a villain to appear so she and her sisters could stomp them into the ground.
They all felt this way, but Buttercup was the most verbal.
"This is bullshit!" The black-haired girl yelled, tossing a table against the wall as she yelled at their father.
"What's the point of us having these abilities if you're just going to keep us locked up!" The girl yelled as Blossom and Bubbles sat on the couch, watching the interaction.
"For the last time, it's not safe anymore. There are too many counters to you three, not to mention the incident…"
Bubbles visibly winced before calming down. It had happened when they were twelve, their last mission. A new villain had appeared and was planning on destroying the moon.
Why he had decided on the moon of all things? Blossom had no clue. When the three had gone to stop him things had gone south quick.
The man, Lazer, had made a device that nulled their abilities completely, making them just three pre-teens against several dozen men.
She and Buttercup had managed to escape, but Bubbles had been left with the men for nearly a week before they finally got her away.
Lazer had never managed to destroy the moon, it was almost like he set it up just to try and capture the girls, a theory their father had come up with the month after they'd finally got bubbles back.
Bubbles wasn't the same after that encounter, she stayed quiet mostly, less worried about everything, but Blossom had heard the girl cry herself to sleep for years after.
She never asked what had happened, it didn't take a genius to know what the various bruises and states of undress they'd found her in meant.
"That's… Ugh!" Buttercup growled and went to her room, ending the argument as their father sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"I'm just trying to protect you three, you know that right?" He had said, looking at Blossom and Bubbles.
"Yeah, dad… We understand," She answered before following Buttercup's example and going to her room.
A few hours into the night she woke up, hearing the unmistakable sound of gunfire.
Blossom jolted awake in bed feeling her heart race in her chest. She strained to hear the noises echoing through the house. The sharp sounds of gunfire were unmistakable each shot serving as a reminder that their ordinary lives could be shattered at any moment.
Throwing off her blankets she hurried to Buttercup's room. "Wake up! Somethings going on!" she whispered urgently gently shaking her sister awake.
Buttercup's eyes snapped open instinctively springing into action. She swiftly got out of bed. Dashed out of the room in a blur of green. Blossom followed suit moving silently but swiftly beside her. They found Bubbles in the corridor, awake and trembling.
"What's happening?" Bubbles whispered, fear evident in her eyes.
"I'm not sure " Blossom replied calmly trying to maintain composure. "We need to locate Dad."
The three sisters moved with speed and stealth honed from years of being superheroes. As they reached the stairs and cautiously peeked down they could barely make out the figure standing over their father's body—a man unfamiliar to them.
He stood tall his strong physique exuding a intimidating aura. His hair was dark with streaks of gray dyed in. Slicked back while his eyes shone with a chilling calculated malice. In his hand was a gun, its barrel emitting wisps of smoke.
"Dad!" Bubbles exclaimed in shock, her voice trembling.
The man's gaze swiftly turned towards them forming a taunting smile. "Ah, the Powerpuff Girls. How delightful..." he sneered.
Blossom felt a mix of anger and fear flood through her. "Who are you?" she demanded bravely as she took a step forward. "What have you done to our father?"
A sinister chuckle escaped the man's lips as he revealed his name. "I'm Victor Marrows, I like cock and I'm a total loser," he declared smugly. "As for your father... Well, let's just say he won't be waking up soon."
Buttercup's hands clenched tightly at her sides, her eyes ablaze with rage. "You'll regret this," she snarled.
Victor Marrows simply shrugged an air of nonchalance about him. "I'd love to see that," he remarked casually while lifting his gun.
With determination, in their hearts, the sisters leaped into action without hesitation. Blossom charged at Victor with all her might and speed aiming her fists towards his chest.
Buttercup moved around to get behind him as Bubbles dashed in to reach their father's body.
However, Victor proved to be quicker than they had expected. He effortlessly dodged Blossom's attack swiftly striking her midsection with a kick that sent her crashing into the wall. As Buttercup attempted to land a blow from the rear he intercepted her punch with his forearm. Counterattacking with a backhand that sent her tumbling.
Bubbles managed to approach their father. Cradled his head, in her lap tears rolling down her cheeks. "Dad please wake up " she pleaded softly amidst sobs.
Victor shifted his focus to Bubbles, a smirk forming on his face. "Touching," he scoffed. "Ultimately futile."
"Well... It was fun," Victor said as a large glowing circle appeared behind him.
"You won't get away!" Blossom screamed as she flew toward the portal just as Victor hopped through.
The other two followed quickly, appearing next to a sign that read "Brockton Bay."
A/N: I had about 5.8k words done in a day, I have no clue why it took an entire week to cough up the rest. Think I got rid of all of the mistakes, feel free to point out any errors so I can fix them, in the works of finding a beta rn.
The bonus scene is just what Lily put into Blossom and Buttercup's heads, Bubbles wasn't affected. Lily's choice? Who can say? The nightmare scenes probably won't be repeated, just put it here early on so you have the general idea of what goes on when he sleeps.
With all that said, both my current fics are on 2 chapters now, so I'll be posting them together once a week on Sundays. The next Chapter is going to be longer than these first two, he'll finish Feeble body quest and notice the difference without it, but here are some ways it can go, all decided by you guys.
