-The Enchanter of Fairy Tail-
Chapter 23: A Long Job Well Done
Year: X754. 30 years till Canon begins.
No POV, Porlyusica:
Porlyusica sighed at her desk, as she took another look out the window to her right. It had been an hour now since that boy Cade had gone off to the cave to see about dealing with those criminals that had been disrupting the peace in the forest.
She hated knowing that they were in this area somewhere and kidnapping the animals to use for their own purposes. Chances were, they were most likely going to skin them and sell their hides, feathers or any other parts that were high on the market right now. She of course knew she couldn't do it herself, hence why she called for Fairy Tail's help.
That was another thing she hated about all this. She knew that Makarov would never be letting this go, her having to ask his guild for help. She scoffed at his possible future remarks, and moved to leave her house to go and check her garden bed to see how the plants were doing.
As she moved down the stairs, she thought about that Cade boy she had spent some time around now. Out of all the wizards that came to her, begging for some sort of potion, or healing, or god forbid the ones who littered on her garden, Cade was not like that. He was definitely a setting a good example for the future wizards of Fairy Tail.
Out of all the people that she could have asked on this little job, she was glad he was able to take up the mantle for it. It would have been risky to ask another wizard in the guild for help, as it would have meant that they may have encountered the Tonakai, and it'd be best if he remained hidden to the world. Hopefully he wasn't caught up with all this activity that was happening here.
Porlyusica then made her way over to her garden bed and began to tend to the vegetables in it. As she was doing so she heard a very loud alarm sound from behind her.
BZZZ! BZZZ! BZZZ!
Came the strange sound from behind Porlyusica. It nearly gave her a heart attack, and she turned around quickly to see what it was, her equipping her broom if things got dangerous.
She saw a small brown drown that looked to be made out of metal. It had four wings, with two on each side that were flapping quickly to keep the drone hovering in the air. There was a small red eye on the drone that was staring right at Porlyusica. The eye then let out a blue scanning beam that scanned Porlyusica, with her taking a step back in shock. The beam then turned red upon finishing scanning her and it began to turn away from Porlyusica and fly off.
Not if Porlyusica had anything to say about it however.
Within less than a second Porlyusica brought down her broom onto the drone, which caused it to fall to the grassy ground below her. She then raised her foot, and brought it down onto the drone, cracking it slightly and causing it to stop beeping with it presumably shut down.
'What was that just there? Was that the strange feeling of being watched I felt a few days ago?' Porlyusica wondered with confusion as she knelt over to investigate the drone. 'Did those criminals use it? If so… Ah! They're probably on their way here!' She realised.
She quickly ran back inside her house and locked the door behind her. She then put her back to the door and began to think of a way to deal with the possible intruders. Cade was gone and he was perhaps the only one here that could deal with them.
There was no way she could fight them. She was a healer and a potion maker! Even if she did knock a few out with the element of surprise, then the others may just burn her home down with her in it!
She couldn't risk running, she was only so fast and they may have a way to catch up with her quickly. It was past noon now and the sun would be going down soon. If she got lost in the forest at night, then she may not be able to find her way back here. In fact… the criminals may get her before that.
She then began to think of a way to not be discovered by them and remain hidden until they leave her.
'What can I do?! Ugh, it's at times like this I wish I still had someone here to help me out!' She admitted begrudgingly, as she looked around her house for something to help her.
Porlyusica was then interrupted from her thinking, by a smashing sound that came out of nowhere. She quickly looked to see what caused the noise, and saw that a potion fell out of her cupboard and onto the floor. The contents of the potion then began to sink into the wooden floor.
'That's it!' Porlyusica thought suddenly. 'If I hide in the space underneath my house I could hide from the criminals!' She planned, as she unlocked the door to her house and quickly exited it.
She then bolted down the steps without locking the door behind her. Afterwards, she raced to the back of her house, and opened a small door that led under her house. The door was well camouflaged, so anyone wouldn't find it unless they knew it existed.
The small area she was in had special weed killer spayed on the ground, to ensure that no plants would start growing underneath her house and grow through the floor. Porlyusica then made sure to shut and lock the small door behind her, and listened carefully for anyone coming to her house.
…
…
…
…
'!'
After a few minutes of waiting Porlyusica could hear a pair of footsteps slowly climbing up the stairs to her house. She held her breath and put her eye to the floorboards of her house to see who would come in.
She then heard the door open, and a young man that looked like he was in his early 20's entered the house. He was wearing some basic clothing, and had the smashed drone Porlyusica had destroyed in his right hand. The man then looked around the room.
"Nobody's here, eh?" He muttered with surprise, as he continued to look around the room. He was investigating all over the interior of the house, mainly the bed covers and the tables and chairs. As he was looking, a much larger drone entered the room and came up to the young man. Just then then the red light on the drone suddenly turned green and a voice came out of it.
"Adron? Adron answer me!" Came a rough male voice, that sounded a bit panicked from what Porlyusica could make out.
"Yes? I'm here if that's what you were wondering. The house is empty, whoever lives here must be out for the moment. The man called Adron spoke to the drone. "The person living here must be at the village nearby here."
"What? Oh, just ignore that! Listen, the boss has just been taken out!" The voice on the other end of the transmission spluttered quickly. The caught the young man's attention, as well as Porlyusica's
"What? Taken out you say? By whom?" He perked up with surprise and confusion.
"Not too long after you left. Some kid who I presume is from a guild nearby, came in and took us all out leaving us unconscious. We all woke up later to feel the ground shaking for a few seconds. After that I investigated the boss's office and it was completely wrecked! The floor was completely destroyed! I think the kid was able to take him out which forced him to do you-know-what!" The voice on the other side explained.
"Well then what's our next move then?" Questioned Adron curiously.
"Well… we were ordered that if anything were to go badly wrong here, then we were to retreat." The man said slowly. "Yeah I hate the idea as well, but they'll find it weird if we come back without the boss and then we'll get questioned as to why we didn't come back sooner. We're out of the cave and planing on following the mountains south. We can't exactly wait any longer, so you'll have to catch us on the way there." The voice on the other end said, before the drone buzzed and the line disconnected.
Adron sighed. "Dammit. The General will kill us for this…" He muttered, before he then turned to leave the house. However, before he left he saw a small bag at the corner of the door that he didn't see when entering.
'No! Not that!' Porlyusica thought with anger.
"Oooooh what have we here?" Said the man with a mischievous voice, as he opened the bag and pulled out some jewels in it. "Heh, seems this mission wasn't so bad after all." He smirked, as he rummaged through the bag some more, before closing the bag and picking it up in his hand.
He then exited the house with a grin and closed the door behind him. Porlyusica could then hear him skip down the stairs, and later walk off into the forest.
'Apologies Cade... There goes your reward.' Porlyusica tsked, with a bit of annoyance.
Porlyusica then waited a few more minutes, before she slowly exited from the underground hatch and carefully made her way back round towards her house. However, as she was about to go up the stairs she heard someone running through the forest towards where she was!
Porlyusica immediately hid behind the back of her house, as opening the hatch again might alert the intruder to where she was. She listen and heard the person run up the stairs and into the house.
'Dammit! Wasn't expecting him to come back!' Porlyusica cursed grimacing. 'I might need to knock him out and bring him back to Fairy Tail.' She equipped her broom and slowly made her way up the steps to her house.
She made it up to the door, and put her back to it before taking a deep breath.
'Alright. Can't afford to hesitate here. I'll just hit him square on the head and it should knock him out.' Porlyusica planned, with her being a bit nervous. She then quickly turned and entered her house, and immediately struck the person who was standing over at the chairs, with all her might!
Then she saw who it was.
Porlyusica let out a gasp in shock upon realising she just hit her own client on the head with her broom. She dropped it in shock upon realising this.
"Wha-? Porlyusica?" Cade said weakly as he turned around to see who hit him, he then fell to the floor upon seeing Porlyusica.
Porlyusica cursed under her breath, and quickly dashed to the cupboard to find a potion to wake an individual up from unconscious. She was skimming through the potions on the shelves and was unable to find the one she was looking for.
'Where is it!? I swore it was right here! I literally touched it a minu-'
'Oh.'
Porlyusica then looked down to the floor and saw the label on one of the potions that was smashed earlier.

Unconscious Remedy
—
'N-No!' She grimaced, as she kicked one of the chairs on her floor in frustration. 'If he hadn't been knocked out, then I could have sent him to where the criminals were going!' She thought with anger. She then calmed herself and sighed, before looking down at the unconscious Cade on the floor.
"Guess the criminals will be getting away for now…" She said grimacing at the idea. "Sorry Cade…"
Cade POV:
'Ughhh, my head… Hurts so bad…' I thought slowly, as I woke up from my deep sleep. 'What happened again?' I slowly opened my eyes to see where I was.
I saw a wooden ceiling in front of me, and I felt surprisingly comfy. I felt with my hands, and they then grasped a soft and spongy material, I looked to my side and saw that I was on a bed.
"Ah good, you're finally awake." Came a voice from my left. I sat up and turned my head to my left and saw Porlyusica sitting on a chair facing me.
"Porlyusica!" I exclaimed in surprise at seeing her unharmed.
"Oh thank goodness you don't have amnesia." Porlyusica remarked with a sigh of relief.
"Yes I can remember everything that happened… Including the part where you hit me on the head." I muttered rubbing my head as I said that, with me also raising my eyebrow at Porlyusica.
She scoffed and turned her head away in embarrassment. "Well I didn't know it was you! I thought you were one of the criminals breaking back into my house." She defended while crossing her arms at me.
As she said that, I suddenly remembered why I bolted into Porlyusica's house. "The criminals! I thought you were hurt or captured by them, so I ran all the way here to see if you were alright." I explained to Porlyusica.
"Well as you can see, I'm fine and uninjured." Porlyusica stated. "A few minutes before you came to check on me, a small drone noticed me so I hid under my house to not be found." Porlyusica gave a small look down, before she looked around the interior of her house.
"The man entered the house not too long after I hid. Then he got a transmission from one of his allies. They were panicking about their boss being taken out." Porlyusica then gave me a curious gaze.
"When they said taken out, did you… kill him?" She asked carefully.
"What! No, no! I didn't kill him." I protested holding up my hands in front of her. "I knocked him down to the ground, and was about to bring him back with me, but then he blew himself up to stop me from taking him." I defended, trying to clear my name.
Porlyusica looked quite shocked to hear that last part from me, her eyes winded a little before she regained her calm demeanour. "He blew himself up? I'm sorry you had to go through that back there. It must have been hard to experience that." She responded in an understanding tone.
"It's fine…" I nodded slowly. "Anyway, what happened next?" I requested curiously, wanting to get back on track.
"Well he left soon after hearing that. The criminals were going to meet up south and follow the mountain in that direction to retreat and return to base. When he left, I emerged from my hiding spot but then you came bolting up my stairs. The problem was I thought you were one of the criminals who came back to try and get me. I was panicking, so I immediately ran in and knocked them on the head." Porlyusica explained. "Sorry about that by the way." She apologised to me.
"Don't worry about it." I said rubbing my head. "About the criminals… how long was I knocked out for?"
"About an hour. I would have given you a medicine to wake you instantly, but it was one of the ones that accidentally smashed on the floor." Porlyusica answered.
"I see… that means that the criminals are probably long gone then." I muttered with disappointment. "Sorry Porlyusica. I wasn't able to complete the job like you requested." I muttered with a glum face.
"What are you talking about?" Porlyusica snapped back at me, taking me by surprise. "You drove off the criminals and presumably stopped whatever they were doing here. You also freed all the animals, I can tell because a few minutes after you were knocked out I heard some bird whistling in the trees." She declared, assuring me of my good work. "In other words, well done."
"Oh! I forgot about the animals." I exclaimed with surprise at remembering them. "Oh yeah, the Tonakai wasn't there believe it or not. The criminals were looking for him however. They thought he would lead them to some sort of jewel."
'But should I tell you about the jewel though, hmm?' I considered in my head curiously.
"That so?" Porlyusica spoke up with interest. "Perhaps he hid when the criminals arrived to not be found." She said to me. "As long as he is safe, that's what matters – upon other things of course."
Just then, we both heard a scraping sound at the door. We both turned our heads to the door in shock, neither of us saying a single word. I turned my head to Porlyusica, and pointed to the door with the back of my thumb with a curious expression on my face.
To my horror, Porlyusica shook her head at me with a concerned look on her face. Neither of us knew who this person was. Was it the criminals back again to see if they got better luck looking through the house? Well, not if I had anything to say about it.
I stood up, and carefully tiptoed my way to the front door, with Porlyusica taking a step back. I continued to hear scraping on the other side of the door as I got closer to it. When I made it to the door, I put my hand on the door knob and immediately pulled the door open ready to cast a spell at the intruder.
"Ice Be-! WH-WHAAAAT!?" I cried out in shock, upon seeing who was on the doorstep of the house.
The Tonakai was the last person – sorry animal, that I expected to see here on the front doorstep. I quickly cancelled the spell and lowered my hands to not frighten the creature, I then looked behind me and saw that Porlyusica was very shocked at this visit as well, with her dropping her broom in surprise.
I turned to Porlyusica. "Wh-What's he doing here?" I splutered in confusion. Porlyusica was still staring at shock at the Tonakai being at the front door of her house, seeming trying to get in. "Uh? Porlyusica?" I asked again to her.
"Oh I don't know!" She snapped back at me. "I don't know every single thing about the Tonakai, I just know that he's the only one of his kind in the forest here." She said, as she moved to the door.
She moved past the Tonakai and went down the stairs, with the Tonakai moving it's head to look at her as she moved by him. She then disappeared behind her house, and later returned with a vegetable she plucked out her garden bed; of which she placed down on the ground beneath her.
Porlyusica was clearly trying to convince the Tonakai to move down the stairs and off her doorstep for some tasty food. To her distain, the Tonakai did not budge one bit, and turned back round to face me.
The great stag then lowered its head and began to sniff my jacket pocket, with it bumping its nose into my jacket.
'Well I'm definitely throwing this jacket away now. As if the slashes weren't bad enough.' I decided. Just then, a thought occurred to me. 'Wait… This jacket pocket has…!'
I then reached into the jacket pocket the Tonakai was interested in, and slowly pulled out the necklace I had gotten in the Ziggurat earlier today. The Tonakai then began to sniff and lick the necklace.
"Huh. So that is why the criminals wanted you in the first place. Heh, thanks buddy. You just helped me answer what this necklace actually is." I realised with a smirk, as I made my down the stairs to where Porlyusica was, with her looking quite befuddled as to what was going on.
"What is all this then? Why is the Tonakai so interested in you all of a sudden?" Porlyusica questioned towards me, as the Tonakai followed me down the stairs.
My smirk widened. "Because. This necklace right here is the Magnistone!" I stated, holding the necklace in front of Porlyusica for her to see.
Porlyusica blinked.
"The what?" She inquired with confusion.
"Oh, er well I don't actually know what the Magnistone is…" I admited awkwardly. "But I know that the criminals were going after the Tonakai to find it!" I said regaining my bravado. "The fact that the Tonakai was so interested in it, confirmed to me that this necklace – presumably the kite shaped jewel in the middle, is the Magnistone!" I handed the necklace to Porlyusica for her to see.
Porlyusica took the necklace off my hands and began to examine it in greater detail. After she had examined it, she handed it back to me. "Well it certainly looks important, that's for sure. What do you plan to do with it?" She asked puzzled.
"I'm not sure…" I said, trying to think of an idea of what to do with the gem. My gaze then shifted to the Tonakai who was staring at the necklace in my hand. I moved my hand up in the air, and the stag's gaze followed my movements.
"Hmm. I don't think I can take the Magnistone with me. Now that the Tonakai has found it, I doubt he'll leave it alone." I grumbled in frustration.
My eyes then moved to Porlyusica who also seemed to be thinking about a solution to all this. It was then, I got an idea.
"Hey Porlyusica." I spoke to the healer. "How would you like to hold onto this necklace for me?" I suggested with a smile on my face as I said it.
"What!? Why would you want me to hold onto it?" Porlyusica protested, as I suggested the idea to her.
"Well if I took the necklace back with me, then the Tonakai would probably follow me back and be seen by everyone." I said shrugging my shoulders. "But… If the necklace was kept here, then the Tonakai would hang around here and not be wandering into Magnolia." I explained, proud of my idea.
"Hang around here? You mean he would constantly be at my front door scratching it and leaving marks on it!" Porlyusica said in anger, as she pointed her finger at me.
I held my hands up in defence. "Hey! You could just hide the necklace on a tree branch or in that little underground area you hid in. Where was it again, under your house? There's plenty of places you could put it without the guy bothering you 24/7." I hinted, trying to defuse the situation.
"Besides, I doubt he'd be here all the time, he'd obviously need to leave and get food, or return to whatever cave he stays in for the night." I explained, trying to make the proposal seem better.
Porlyusica then took the necklace from my hand and looked at it again. She raised her head to look at the Tonakai and then back to the necklace. Throughout all of this she had a deep look on her face, which showed she was thinking carefully.
'She's giving this some serious thought. Good. It'd be best if he were in his natural environment and not Magnolia or at home. Mother would freak out if she learned we would have to take care of this guy.' I mused, with some amusement at the end of that thought.
Porlyusica then turned back up to look at me. "Very well. I'll keep the necklace here. And that means we're even now." She agreed, closing her eyes as she said that, her putting the necklace in a pocket of hers.
"Alrig-! Wait… what do you mean we're even now?" I wondered, with my happiness suddenly getting replaced by confusion. "I saved you two years ago in Orchid Village, and now I've just helped you on this job." I reminded.
"Exactly. And so we are even." Porlyusica said, as she opened her eyes and gave me a dangerous look. "I think looking after that creature 24/7 makes up for the difference." She stated, as the Tonakai moved over to Porlyusica and began to sniff her jacket pocket, causing her eye to twitch.
"B-But-!" I began to protest to this decision. Porlyusica however, gave me the most stern and serious look I've ever seen her give to me.
"I said that makes up for it. Any objections?" Her voice had a warning tone, as she tightened her grip on her broom that suddenly reappeared in her hand.
'She terrifying enough with her broom. I think if she attacked me with that broom, I get the feeling she could bury me six feet under.' I thought nervously. 'I'll let her have this one then.' With me a little irked by this.
"Hmph, fine we're even then." I agreed begrudgingly, as I crossed my arms. "Now then, where is my reward from all this? 340,000 jewels right?" I asked curiously, not really wanting to spend any more time here today.
"It's gone." Porlyusica said with a flat voice.
"Eh? Gone how?!" I exclaimed in surprise.
"The criminal who came into my house found it and made off with it. Nothing I could do to stop him I'm afraid." Porlyusica said with a small shake of her head.
"Wh-What!? But surely there is something you can give me as compensation?" I asked with hope.
"There is as a matter of fact." Porlyusica said as she raised her head in the air, the sun shining on the back of her head which casted a shadow over her eyes.
"Oh! What is it?!" I asked with enthusiasm.
"I'm giving you five seconds to get lost from here, now this whole matter has been resolved." Porlyusica stated dryly, as she twirled her broom in her hands.
"WH-WHAT!?" I shouted with shock when I heard that.
"Five"
"Eh!? Now hold on let's not be to rash here, we can work something out I'm sure." I pleaded desperately, as I held up my hands and began to back off from her.
"Four, three, two, one!" Porlyusica yelled as she charged at me with her broom. "Now get lost! I hate humans! And I don't expect to see you here again for at least a whole year!" She cried out at me.
"GAHHHHH! I'M GOING PLEASE DON'T CHASE ME!" I yelled, as I sprinted off in the direction to Magnolia, running so fast, my feet were practically skimming off the ground. I swear I was forming a huge dust cloud as I ran all the way back to Magnolia, with me finally completing this job.
After a few minutes of running through the east forest, I finally came out on the hills that led down to Magnolia and to my home. I then looked between Magnolia and my house, and tried to decide where to go first.
'Hmm, I really want to see mother again… but I should maybe report back to Master first and tell him that I completed the job. Also it might be worth mentioning about the letter I got from the boss back in the cave, as well as the Magnistone of course.' I contemplated as I looked at the sun, which was almost setting. I'll only have time for one trip today.
I thought for a bit more, before coming to a conclusion.
'Ah, I'll just head home for the day. I can always go to the guild tomorrow.' I thought with a shrug, as I went down the hills towards my house. 'Just annoying that I'll have to wait until tomorrow until I get any answers about the organisation that the criminals were working with.'
I then made it to the front door of the house and rang the doorbell instead of just opening the door and walking in, to surprise whoever answered the door. I heard some footsteps approaching the door and I was greeted by the face of my mother.
"Cade!" She smiled with surprise, her hugging me after she saw me. "Ah, it's so good to see you!" She said with a smile. "Wait… What happened to your jacket?" She immediately asked with concern, as she pulled her head back and looked at my jacket.
"Oh, er I just got into a bit of a scuffle. Nothing I couldn't handle." I explained shrugging the complaint off. "Seriously I'm fine!" I replied, as I then saw my mothers worried look.
She then moved to the back of me and looked the jacket there. "Ah! What are these claw marks!? Did you get into a fight with an animal?" She wondered with a worried voice, as I felt her examining the jacket.
"Um, er, maybe?" I responded awkwardly. "Look, can we maybe do inside? It's getting late out here, and I am starving." I said as I turned round to see her.
She nodded her head in agreement and we both made our way into the house.
"So, are Charles and Pierce here?" I asked, as I looked around the house, as I honestly expected them to answer the door and not my mother.
"They finished their tasks today and I let them go home early." My mother informed, as we had now made it to the dining room. "I did leave some food for you, for when you made it back. I'll go get it for you." She said, as I sat down in my usual chair. Mother then left to go into the kitchen snd get the food for me.
A minute or so later, she exited the kitchen with a bowl of soup for me to tuck into. Upon finishing the soup a few minutes later, my mother then asked me her big question.
"So tell me. What happened on the job out there?" She spoke curiously. "Oh and don't leave anything out. I'll know if you do." She added in a calm yet warning tone.
"Ah ok then… where to start…" I muttered, taking a deep breath after saying that. This was going to be a long story.
A few minutes later, I had finished telling my mother all about the job I had been on today. I decided to not leave any details out which included telling her about the huge Werewolf that almost came close to killing me. She was completely taken aback by this and looked very unsettled for the rest of the time in which I told her what happened after that. I eventually finished the story, and sat back and nervously waited for her response.
'Oh no… What's the punishment going to be? No jobs for a few days? No jobs with Gildarts for a few days?' I prayed with a bit of sweat trickling down my forehead. 'No… she wouldn't would she…?!' I realised in fear. 'She wouldn't make me do the house chores for a week would she!?' I was shaken with terror, as I noticed she was about to speak up.
"Well one things for sure. These jobs are getting rather dangerous for you now. I know I can't stop you from going on them, so I'm going to make sure I can get you some proper protection." She stated firmly.
"Huh?!" I exclaimed in bewilderment. "I'm not grounded or anything?" I inquired with hope.
"No you're not grounded." My mother said, raising an eyebrow at me in confusion. "Why would you be? You didn't know you would face such strong threats on this job, so I can't blame you for it. If you had done something stupid like take an S-Class quest and come back in one piece; then yes. You would be grounded." She stated nodding her head at me.
"Well that's nice." I said breathing a sigh of relief. "So what do you mean by better protection then?" I asked to her.
"Oh, well maybe some armour or something?" My mother questioned, as she put her hand on her chin, and looked up as if she was thinking of other options.
"You… sound like you don't know yourself." I spoke with a bit of embarrassment. "Wasn't this your idea just now?" I continued saying.
"Yes that's the point! It was my idea just now." My mother rebuked in response. "I didn't think I would have to help you get some better protection for yourself. I thought this job was going to be fine for you until I saw the slashes on your jacket!" My mother defended, as she gestured her hands at my jacket.
"Well we won't find anything in Magnolia, that's for sure." I said to her. I had been in the town long enough to know the ins and out quite well; no smithing shop existed. "I'd need to go outside of town to properly find a place that does good armour."
"Hmm… Maybe Master Makarov will know a place! I bet he's gotten tons of guild members that have gone to him to ask for a place that crafts good armour!" My mother suggested suddenly.
"Yeah he might know!" I realised with a smile, taking in what my mother said just there. "Well, if I go tomorrow then I'd probably be out for the day if that's ok with you." I said, as I stood up from my seat.
"That's fine by me. Just try to make sure you're back here before dark if possible." My mother requested, as I now began to head out of the dining room and upstairs to bed.
"You may want to bring some jewels with you. I doubt you'll get some good armour for free." My mother suggested, stating the obvious to me as I left.
"Of course! I already planned to do that. I'll just lift some from the treasury before I leave tomorrow." I spoke up chuckling, as I held up my hand to wave mother goodnight.
'Damn. I would have completely forgotten about that if she hadn't reminded me just there…' I thought with surprise. 'This is one of the first times I'm having to buy something myself, that no one else can really help me with.' I realised, as I made my way up the stairs and into my bedroom.
I then closed the door behind me and began to get changed into my pyjamas. It was only as I began to change clothes, that I realised something.
'Wow… Didn't realise I was that tired.' I thought as I changed my shirt into my pyjama shirt. 'I really have been through a lot today.' I realised as I thought back on everything that happened today.
I then finished getting changed and collapsed onto my bed, with me completely exhausted.
'Hmm… wonder what kind of protection I could get? Maybe some armour? Well then again, I wouldn't want something that's constantly weighing me down all the time when I'm on jobs. Also it'd be quite clatterly and clunky to move around in.' I wondered as I got under my covers ready to fall asleep.
That's a wrap! Hope you all enjoyed reading this chapter. Do leave a review of your thoughts on it.
With Cade's trusty jacket completely wrecked, he's now setting out to find someone who can hopefully get him some better protection. Yes he could just simply get the jacket fixed or get a new one, but most jobs can be quite dangerous (as he saw on the last job he went on) so he'd probably think it'd be best to get some actual defensive clothing.
Porlyusica also now has the responsibility of keeping the Tonakai safe and sound at her home - much to her dismay.
With all that out of the way, I hope to see you all in the next chapter! Catch you later!
