Hunt For The Mystical Medals

First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which the Detective Conan crew are working on how to find and rescue Ayumi after she is said to be kidnapped, while the villains from Gunsmith Cats make the rounds in targeting Shinchi Kudo.

Much later, the limousine arrived and Randinov and the limo driver arrived at their destination, which is revealed that they are at the Nagatacho District, which is known for being the "political heart of Tokyo", and the nation of Japan, which coincidentally is also the location of the Diet, government ministries and party headquarters. Upon being informed, Randinov gets off the car and is led by the driver to enter a rather large house, where she walks in with a rather stoic expression as she is told to wait here as he calls for his employer.
Judging from the appearance of the house she is in, Randinov can tell that her would-be client is a wealthy politician and is expecting that she would be paid highly as she knew that the one who summoned her wanted her to kill someone. As she waited for the client to call her, she patiently stood still until the butler approached her and said that his employer wishes to see her and she followed him right inside the living room, where Randinov eventually meets her client, who is revealed to be a corrupt politician.
"Natasha Randinov, I presume?"
"Da."
"Hee-hee-hee...quite a Russian professional, huh?"
"So what if I am?"
"So formal..."
"Shall we get to the point, sir?"
"Yes..."
"Then tell me now..."
After a minute of introductions, the corrupt politician then went to the point and told her that he has heard of her "exploits" and wanted to avail her services as he wanted her to eliminate someone, in which she explains that her choice of payment would be heroin, which the corrupt politician was slightly taken aback by her request and asks if there is anything else she wants, but Randinov stood with her choice of payment.
"No money. Just heroin..."
"Huh? Are you sure?"
"Da."
"But...you might have a hard time converting that to cash here..."
"That won't be a problem..."
"You sure about this?"
"Da."
"Very well..."
They eventually agreed to their mode of agreements and there the politician gave her an envelope, and when she opened it, its contents were that of a picture, and as the scene zooms in on the picture, it is revealed that her target is none other than Shinichi Kudo, which Randinov stared at the picture in stoic expression and there the politician explained that he wants Shinichi dead because of his recent meddling in his affairs, which resulted in the teen detective uncovering a conspiracy which would have ensured the politician to get the position of "Minister of Justice" in the last election he participated.
"This is the target that you wanted to be eliminated?"
"Yes."
"Quite a young man here..."
"Yes...but don't let his boyish looks deceive you...he's a threat...to my political career..."
"Oh? And why is that?"
"He's a detective...and that almost cost me my career..."
"Really?"
"Really."
The politician stated that despite the conspiracy uncovered, he managed to "stay clean" and vowed revenge on Shinichi, and this led him to find the best assassin in the world which in turn led him to find out about Randinov, and soon after, she accepted the offer and took her leave as she commences her search for Shinichi Kudo, unaware that Shinichi's body is still in possession of the Greed, Ankh.

Elsewhere, the scene shifts at a bar, where another politician is talking to two foreigners, who are Americans, they appeared to be siblings (a male and a female), in their 20s, and they turn out to be guns for hire, and that they fled America due to being wanted, and now the siblings are making a name for themselves here in Japan, and the politician is giving them an offer in exchange for a huge sum of monetary reward.
The politician then showed to the American siblings the picture of their intended target, who is none other than the Kaitou Kid, and the politician said he is willing to give an extra incentive if they can bring Kaitou's head to him in any way possible.
"So this is our target?"
"A Japanese teen dressed like a gentleman thief with a cape?"
"Yes...he is your target."
"Such a peculiar target..."
"I have no idea he is into cosplay stuff."
"Don't let his looks fool you. He even outwitted the police force?"
"Oh really...?"
"Hmm..."
The siblings, identified only as Bonnie and Clyde, smirked as they believe that this assignment is easy and promised to bring Kaitou's head to the politician as soon as possible.
"Then it is settled."
"We will bring you his head.""
"And you will be pleased."
"We'll kill that brat..."
"And gift-wrapped him in your name."
"Can you promise me that?"..."
"Yes of course."
"Coz we're the sibling shooters from American hell..."

At Professor Agasa's house, the scene shows that Agasa is having a discussion with Ran, Shiho and Kyuji, in which they are talking about the spate of missing girls that is happening in the past several days, which became somewhat alarming, as the reports says that only girls are the victims and not boys, which Ran wondered what modus operandi are the kidnappers applying.
With Ayumi becoming the latest victim, they are now pooling their mental resources and are coming up with ways to find a way to track down the kidnappers and figure out where they are hiding and what did they do to the girls, Ayumi included.
"This is bad..."
"Indeed...Ayumi becoming the latest victim..."
"This is way unexpected..."
"..."
"If master Shinichi were here, he would surely come up with a way..."
"Unfortunately, Ankh is controlling his body..."
"Why Shinichi of all people..."
"..."
Ran then noticed Kyuji's determined look and asked if he is personally affected by this, which Kyuji apologized if she feels worried, as he admitted that the missing girls reminded him of a little girl in Africa that he failed to save, and said that the incident made him determined to try saving the girls, as he does not want them to get a similar tragedy.
By then Shintaro Gotoh arrived, and when Kyuji asked if he needed anything, Gotoh admitted that he overheard the discussion and about the missing girls cases, and said he used his connections from the police force and managed to obtain copies of the CCTV footages found from several scenes of the crimes, and said that the case is going to be more difficult and complex to look into.
"Eh?"
"Yes, Hino."
"You got...CCTV...?"
"Yeah, I managed to persuade my contacts to provide me one..."
"..."
"So...what does it contain?"
"It'd be best if you see it yourselves."
"?"
The others wondered what Gotoh meant, and there Gotoh showed to the others the CCTV footage where it showed that several girls, who are reported to be missing, brutally murdered their own parents by using silencer guns, some using mini-crossbows and the such before they disappeared.
Ran and Agasa were shocked at seeing this and wondered why this happened, and Gotoh admitted that this is one case that he doubt would be easy to solve, as the whereabouts of the missing girls are unknown, and no leads have been established so far, as well as the motive on why the girls kill their own parents.
Shiho then suggested that the girls may have been controlled somehow, as she pointed out through the footage that the girls, aged 10 and below, appeared to be in a trance as they killed their parents, and believed that certain factors come into play, such as brainwashing and drug-induced methods.
Gotoh nodded and feels that it makes sense about that.
"...and that is what I think."
"...I see..."
"That may be the only explanation."
"It does seem to make sense."
"And to think the kidnapped girls would do that under normal circumstances is outright questionable."
"Indeed."
"So that's your theory?"
"Yes."
Kyuji watches on as he listens to the conversation, and feels that they need to make their move if they are to put a stop on this crime wave that involves the missing girls, and feared that if Ayumi is among the missing girls, then it is possible that she might be brainwashed to kill her own parents if that were to happen.
Gotoh agreed and said that he will ask Akira Toudou to assist him in solving this, but Kyuji asked him not to, saying that Toudou is already having his hands full with the Greed and Yummy, and stated that he and Ran and the others will solve this case.
Gotoh asked if he is sure, which Kyuji assured that they will handle this case.
"Are you sure about this, Hino?"
"Yes."
"Still…"
"We'll handle this. Toudou-san has other things to prioritize."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"…"
"…"
Agasa interjected and asked for any suggestion as he has no idea where to start and how to flush the culprits out given that there were no eyewitnesses, and as the others think about what to do, feeling that they are now hard-pressed, Shiho stood up and said that she came up with something.
As the others listened, Shiho suggested that she will play bait as she is going to pose as a 10-year old girl by assuming her form as Ai Haibara, and there she will STRUT around which would surely entice the culprits to come out and abduct her and take her to their hideout.
Ran and Kyuji appeared to be worried as they see this as a risky move and asked her how would that help in solving the case.
"Shiho-san…"
"Are you sure you know what you're saying?"
"That's sounds dangerous."
"He's right."
"Leave it to me, Kyuji…Ran…"
"But…"
"How can you…?"
"It's like this…"
Shiho pointed out that she will bring some Taka Candroids with her and they will act as beacons so that they can follow the kidnappers and track the hideout. Once found the Candroids can home in on the location and that is where Kyuji comes in, as O's.
Kyuji stared in surprise and asked why he will have to barge in as O's, which Shiho stated that the kidnappers are sure to be heavily armed and the police force would have a difficult time stopping them as the kidnapped girls are surely to be used as human shields, and said that with the Core Medals' powers in his possession, he can make quick work on the kidnappers and their ringleader.
"…and that is that, Kyuji…"
"…"
"I'm sure you can handle it…since you are O's…"
"Well…that's true…"
"I'm sure it will be okay…"
"Uh…"
"And you're the only one who can do it."
"…"
Ran and Agasa are unsure of this, but Gotoh sees the logic, and believe that O's power would be enough to safely knock out the syndicate and apprehend them, but then he asked Shiho what she meant about posing as a 10-year old girl, as he finds it baffling.
Shiho eventually told Gotoh about her history, and about the Black Organization, and there Gotoh became alarmed that such an organization is able to roam freely behind the shadows, and realized that Shinichi Kudo would be in danger despite Ankh possessing the teen detective's comatose body, but Kyuji assured that Kudo is in GOOD HANDS since Ankh will protect him.
"And you think Mr. Kudo will be okay?"
"Yes…he'll be fine."
"How can you…?"
"Ankh is WITH HIM…so it's okay."
"I wonder if he would abandon Kudo's body…"
"He won't. He can't risk it.'
"Really…?"
"Yes."
The group continued to discuss more about their plans and how to execute it, and there Gotoh revealed that he got intel that a new drug syndicate has formed at the Shinjuku area, and he enlisted Toudou's aid in dealing with the syndicate, where Toudou will deal with them as Kamen Rider Birth, and then apprehend the ringleader and his men.
Kyuji nodded and tells Gotoh to be careful, which Gotoh said to Kyuji to be careful as well.
"I see."
"…"
"You two be careful."
"We will."
"You think you two can handle it?"
"Of course."
"Then it's settled."
"Wish us luck."

At an undisclosed hideout, Ranidov just left as she is getting ready to begin her search for her target, but then she turn around to head back in as she seemed to forget something, and upon entering, she saw two burglars looking for something to steal, and the two burglars found heroin, which they suggest selling it.
By then they saw the picture of Shinichi Kudo stamped on the wall, where they commented that they saw him despite the fact that Kudo's hairstyle did not hide the fact that Ankh is possessing him.
There Ranidov shoots down the burglar and aimed her gun at the other, demanding to know where Shinichi Kudo is, and the terrified burglar told her what he knows.
"Talk."
"Whoa! Don't shoot me!"
"Where is he?"
"Who?"
"Shinichi Kudo."
"Okay! I'll tell you!"
"Hurry."
"He's…"
After that, Randinov smirked as she believes she has found her target, and mercilessly kills the remaining burglar, then she took her belongings as she moves to another hideout as she appeared to be lazy in disposing the corpses.

Hope you liked this as the Detective Conan crew are bracing themselves in preparing a rescue mission to find and rescue Ayumi, who is among the missing girls abducted while discovering what their fates have become.
Another pair of Gunsmith Cats villains are introduced, and they are Bonnie and Clyde, in which they are set to target the Kaitou Kid, which will no doubt put them in conflict with the Detective Conan crew…especially Ankh, since the body he possesses resembled both Shinichi and Kaitou Kid…

As ran and Shiho make their move, the scene will also focus on the Gunsmith Cats heroines as they make a tour around Tokyo while Ankh is having his own affairs, as Randinov prepares to make her assassination attempt…
