Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here a new story arc takes place…and this one will focus on Ankh as a Yummy appeared, which has an attribute of a bird…and this would make Ankh the focal point as he is a bird-type Greed, except that he hasn't been able to spawn a Yummy.
And this arc would add an element of mystery as someone is able to spawn a bird-type Yummy…

In the previous arc, a few things happened:
O – A pair of women from America attempted to make a Japanese branch of a gunsmith shop, only to end up becoming unwitting pawns of Kazari and Uva;
O – Some foreign assassins were hired to assassinate Shinichi Kudo, only to be slaughtered by Ankh;
O – And, Mezeru is revealed to have survived and regain some of her Core Medals and her body;
Kyoto.
The current scene shows that the place is a beach resort where many tourists and visitors are flocking in, some made booking reservations and are able to secure rooms for a few days' use, and others who failed to reserve one are forced to find other resorts to accommodate their stay, which resort receptionists are surprised by the influx of vacationers due to the fact that it is currently summer season, hence the sudden bookings of those wanting to spend their summer vacation in various resorts.
"Whoa…"
"What an influx of visitors…"
"Yeah…that means more work for us…"
"Yeah…meaning more money…"
"I guess it's this time of the year…."
"Yeah. I mean…it's summer."
"You're right. And many people are quite happy about it."
"Indeed."
The scene shows that more and more vacationers are coming in, and are able to reserve a room for a few days' stay, and the scene shifts somewhere within the resort area, where several stalls are shown and set up, as some merchants managed to set up a deal and allowed them to sell their merchandise as long as they do not engage in ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES like illegal drugs and the such.
The scene later shifts to a certain area near the parking lot of the resort, where business is thriving the area is frequently being besieged by passing customers which are a mix of adults and teenagers, and they appeared to be avid collectors, as they are looking and buying second-hand items which are technological in nature, and their reasons for patronizing the said shops are purely economical in nature - cheaper prices and practicality.
You can see several shops selling HOT items for cheaper prices, such as smartphones, android tablets and even laptops, and despite being second-hand items, they appeared to be in good working conditions, and some of the customers are willing to buy them as long as their desired items are working fine as well as to save money for budgetary reasons, and the merchants are using subtle means in enticing passing customers.
"Hello...please by our items..."
"They are cheaper..."
"...they are in good working condition..."
"You can try them if you like..."
"I promise you will like them..."
"I promise you will get your money's worth..."
"Here are the items on our display..."
"Pick the one you like..."
The area is thriving and many merchants set up shops to attract passing customers and entice them to buy their products by showing the items and offered cheaper prices while assuring them that the items are in good working condition, and their marketing strategy worked as some passing customers were intrigued after hearing that so e gadgets are being sold in cheaper prices, and they began asking the merchants what items do they sell, and the merchants showed to the customers the items they are selling, ranging from smartphones to android tablets and even laptops.
Then the scene shifts to another nearby shop, where a merchant is also selling second-hand items, but unlike the other shops, this merchant is selling something else and is catering avid collectors, and the scene shifts inside the shop where you can see the items being sold, which turn out to be classic console units and games, all being displayed on the shelves, and one by one you can see the following consoles being on display, which are:
- Nintendo Famicom
- Super Famicom
- Sega Mega Drive
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance
- Neo Geo
- Sony Playstation
- Sega Saturn
- Nintendo 64
In a matter of minutes customers passed by the shop, and most of them are avid collectors and fans of video games, and they were immediately intrigued by the items on display and they looked at the items, as some appeared to be unaware that such classical consoles actually existed, and they began asking the merchants if those consoles and its games are really something to be owned, which the merchant nodded and assured to them that the classic games are RARE, and are fun to play with, saying that even with popular games today that are released on current consoles, the consoles on display are even COOLER due to its nostalgia factor.
"Are they really cool compared to today's consoles?"
"Yes...they ate cool..."
"Seriously?"
"Yes, sir...they are the very first games...and they are the popular ones in its heydays...and they are RARE to find..."
"Hmm..."
"Would you like to try them...?"
"..."
"I promise you will not regret it..."
Then another stall is seen where a newly-released game cartridge is being offered, and many customers are lining up to become the first customer to buy it, which they commented that a video game company is once more taking the attention as that company is becoming such a fast-rising corporation in Japan today.
"Whoa…as expected…"
"This new video game is taking the town by storm…"
"Indeed…"
"The company making this game is getting more and more attention…"
"That shows how reputable that company is…"
"Yeah…"
"Looking forward for more…"
"Me too…"
However, an individual is seen watching the queue and is exhibiting an envious aura, and saw the poster of the said company, who is identified as Kokichi Oma, who is known publicly as the corporate president of Genmu Corporation.
It turns out that this individual was a former employee of Genmu Corporation and intend to usurp the position but Oma was able to prevent it and fired the erstwhile employee, and thus the individual harbored a grudge against Oma ever since.
But this in turn became a desire, and at a huge tree within the parking lot, a floating left forearm is seen hiding, which resembled Ankh's monster hand form, but for a reason, it brought out a Cell Medal and threw it towards the individual, where the Cell Medal SLOTS IN on the victim's head, and the irate individual is unaware of what is happening, and mentally vowed to ruin Oma and Genmu Corporation no matter how long it would take.
"Oma…soon I want to see you dead…"
The monster-looking left forearm remained in hiding as it watched the individual take his leave and await its next victim.

Moments later, Gin and Vodka were seen in the same area, where they just finished a secret transaction, and there the two Black Organization members are pleased with the profit they received, but for some reason, Gin wasn't satisfied, as he still desired some things, and Vodka asked what is the mmatter
Gin said that up until now Shiho Miyano still evaded him and wished that he gets the chance to PUT HER IN HIS LOVING ARMS and give her something she would NEVER FORGET, though Vodka said that one day he will get what he desire.
"Relax, Gin."
"…"
"You'll eventually get your hands on her."
"I know."
"It'll be soon before you know it…"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. I'm sure of it."
"You bet."
Gin smirked as he brought out a picture of Shiho before secretly slashing it with a knife, and there the left forearm SAW this and sensed a DESIRE from Gin and tosses a Cell Medal which SLOTS into the back of Gin's head, and Vodka partially saw it and got spooked, and he checked Gin's head for possible injuries which Gin annoyingly shrugs it off.
"Hey!"
"Just a minute, Gin...I saw a medal entering your head…"
"Knock it off!"
"…"
"You and your wild imagination…!"
"I'm not! I saw it!"
"Saw what?"
"Its like this…"
Gin was feeling disturbed when told and he tells Vodka to knock it off, calling him foolish for SEEING THINGS though Vodka reiterated that he knows what he saw, and moments later a mummy-like entity emerged from Gin's body, surprising both Gin and Vodka before the mummy-like entity grabbed Gin and took out several photos of Shiho, and began to EAT them in front of the two surprised Black Organization members.
"See that, Gin?"
"…"
"I told you I'm not making this up…!"
"…"
"Someone threw a medal and entered your head! And now this happened!"
"You got to be kidding…!"
"Now you believe me…?"
"Damn…"
Gin and Vodka watched the scene in bafflement but then snapped back to attention when the mummy-like entity began to MOLT and turned into the Emu Yummy, and began to run off, and Gin is surprised at what just occurred while Vodka tells him again about what happened a while ago, and this time Gin is willing to listen to what Vodka had to tell.
"You sure about what you said?"
"Yeah!"
"A medal entered my body and that thing is the result…?"
"Looks to me that it is…"
"Did you saw who did that?"
"Uh…no…"
"Great. Once we do I'll kill him…"
"Gin…"
At the tree, the left forearm entity is watching the scene but then Vermouth showed up and CHARMED her way and SWEETLY spoke to the left forearm and said that it would benefit it if the left forearm were to inhabit a body, and there she touched it and the left forearm entity stood still for a moment before seemingly accepting Vermouth's advances.
"Hey there."
"…"
"It'll be a hassle if you go around looking like that…"
"…"
"You need a body to inhabit…and I know just the thing. Come with me."
"…"
"Yes…that's it…just follow me…"
"…"

Somewhere else, Kyuji, Ankh and a disguised Shiho just left a convention center where an ice cream convention took place, and Shiho is quite annoyed that Ankh is trying to take all the sample giveaways for himself and reminded him that he is still BORROWING the body of Shinichi Kudo, hence Ankh shouldn't go reckless with it, which Ankh scoffed.
Kyuji tried to calm the two down and said that at least they are able to buy at least four pints of ice cream and they should bring some to Professor Agasa, which Shiho agrees, saying that the scientist is VERY GENEROUS unlike Ankh.
"What was that?"
"You heard me. You too greedy."
"Of course! I'm a Greed!"
"But you're still borrowing Shinichi's body, so don't abuse it."
"I do what I want, so butt out!"
"No can do."
"What was that?"
"Want me to look cute…?"
"Don't you dare…huh…?"
The bickering stopped when Ankh became alarmed as he sensed a Yummy nearby, and both Kyuji and Shiho saw the concerned look on Ankh, as he brought out the medal case and gives Kyuji the following Core Medals:
- Kuwagata Medal
- Kuma Medal
- Batta Medal
Kyuji asked what is wrong, saying that it is the first time seeing Ankh so spooked, and there Ankh said that he sensed a Yummy, said that he sensed a Yummy that seemed to be something that doesn't belong to either Kazari, Uva or Mezeru, which made Kyuji and Shiho baffled.
"A…different kind of Yummy…?"
"Are you sure...?"
"That's what I sensed and its not a feline, heavy animal or a fish…!"
"Ankh…"
"Ankh…are you…?"
"Don't ask, Kyuji…just transform already!"
"Calm down Ankh..."
"Guys…look!"
"!"
Their conversation was interrupted when red feathers began to drop from the sky and landed on the ground, and both Kyuji and Shiho wondered what is going on, before glancing at Ankh, who appeared to be shocked and in disbelief as he grabbed a feather and stared at it, looking visibly shocked and in disbelief.
Both Kyuji and Shiho are baffled as they never seen Ankh act like this before, but then began to guess that something might happen so they braced themselves for whatever is about to happen.

Hope you liked this chapter as the situation encounter a new problem…in which an element of mystery comes in, which turns out that a left forearm version of Ankh appeared and is the one responsible for spawning some bird-type Yummy…
Gin is the first to witness this whilst Vermouth appeared to have plans for this other monster forearm…
