Several minutes later, the scene shifts at the Kougami Foundation, where the next scene shifts at Kousei Kougami's office as he await the arrival of Doctor Maki, as he is planning something which he feels that something INTERESTING is about to happen, and the door opened where Erika Satonaka entered, telling Kougami that Maki has arrived.
"President."
"Yes?"
"Doctor Maki has arrived."
"Really?"
"Yes. He just arrived and is standing outside."
"Splendid! Splendid indeed!"
"Shall I let him in?"
"Of course!"
By then Maki entered, as he wondered what Kougami wants as it is quite rare that he would be summoned personally and wondered if Kougami sensed something that piqued his interest, and he remained stoic as Kougami smiled as he motions Maki to have a seat, which made Maki wondered what is going on in Kougami's mind.
"Ah, Doctor Maki! I thank you for coming!"
"Is there something you need from me?"
"Yes, and a very important one at that…"
"And this requires my presence…?"
"Indeed!"
"Fine. Just make it quick."
"It won't be long, I promise."
"…"

Ch. 157: Keikoku, gekisen, rihan part 2
As Maki await what Kougami is doing, he raised an eyebrow as Kougami brought out a birthday cake, telling Maki that today is his birthday, and the bespectacled worker twitched his eye as he realized that today was his birthday, yet he wasn't feeling pleased about celebrating it, as he has no interest in celebrating his birthday since becoming a teenager.
"This is why I summoned you…to celebrate your birthday today…"
"Goodness…you didn't have to go that far…"
"But this is a joyous occasion…"
"For me it isn't…"
"Don't be grumpy…you should celebrate since this only happens once every year…"
"Whatever."
"Now then…"
"?"
As Kougami gave Maki the birthday cake that has a lit candles, Kougami's demeanor went from jolly to threatening, as he revealed a footage showing that he has been monitoring Maki, and the succeeding footage shows Maki conspiring with Kazari, in his human guise and Greed form, which Maki almost lost composure.
However, Kougami said that he would forgive and forget if Maki severs his alliance with Kazari and focus on supporting Kyuji and Ankh, saying that his reprimand and warning is his BIRTHDAY GIFT to Maki, and the bespectacled scientist remained stoic before grudgingly blowing the candle, and placed the birthday cake on the chair before taking his leave.
Satonaka asked Kougami if this is okay, about letting Maki go, and Kougami was unfazed as he is confident that Maki would remain loyal to the Kougami Foundation, and believe that Maki wouldn't do something to jeopardize his job and career at the Kougami Foundation, though Satonaka is cautious as she said that she wondered if Maki is willing to do what he is told about breaking his partnership with Kazari.
"I'm not so sure, president."
"Hmm…?"
"I feel that Maki might…"
"He wouldn't dare. He knows what is at stake here."
"Really?"
"Really."

About 30 minutes later, Maki and Kazari meet up at an unmanned construction site, where the feline Greed, in his human guise, sarcastically asked how his meeting with Kougami went, and Maki revealed that Kougami is already aware of the situation, and now the bespectacled scientist said that things would change drastically if he is going to follow his secret agenda.
Kazari smirked as he has a feeling that things are about to get interesting, and asked Maki if he is sure now about what he is going to do, which the latter said that he has made his decision and there is no turning back now.
"So then…"
"…"
"What are you going to do?"
"…"
"Are you going to…"
"I made up my mind. And there is no turning back."
"Are you sure?"
"Indeed. I shall make preparations to put my plans in motion."
In a surprise turn of events, members of the Black Organization arrived as they are going to have an emergency meeting, where Vermouth, Port, Marsala and Vinsanto alighted from a car, just as another car arrived, where Gin, Vodka, Baijiu, Kaoliang, Ogogoro, Tonto, Soku, Ouzo and Absinthe alighted from the car, and there Gin asked Vermouth if the assignment has been carried out.
Gin just scoffed when told that the assignment went well, and told Vermouth that she is lucky that Anokata vouches for her and accepted that Conankh is, for now, a VALUABLE ASSET to the Black Organization, but Gin said that if it were up to him he would punish her for nearly compromising the Organization's security and existence.
"Just to make things clear. Consider yourself fortunate…if not lucky."
"Hmm…?"
"Anokata vouches for you, since you're his FAVORITE."
"Oh please…you're over exaggerating…"
"But I'm willing to let it pass just because your PET did a good job. If he does exceedingly well in serving the organization, I'm fine with it."
"Thanks for the vote of confidence, Gin."
"Hmph."
However, Vodka interrupted and pointed his finger at the other direction, where Maki and Kazari just stood there, unfazed at what they inadvertently heard, and there Gin told his Spirit stablemates to get rid of the SECURITY THREATS who happened to stand in front of them, the Spirits members nodded in acknowledgement.
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
Gin raised an eyebrow as he noticed that Maki remained stoic and doesn't feel threatened, but Kazari stood in front of Maki, smirking which made Gin feel pissed, and asked Kazari if he has a DEATH WISH, which the latter scoffed and said that his attitude is a GOOD DESIRE, which made Gin feel perplexed, and without warning, Kazari brought out a Cell Medal and threw it towards Gin, where a COIN SLOT mystically appeared on Gin's forehead, surprising the Spirit stablemates as the Cell Medal went inside Gin's body.
Then Gin convulsed a bit where a whitish, mummy-like entity came out, and moments later it MOLTED and became the Puma Yummy. As Vodka and the rest of the Spirits members are surprised, Port, Marsala and Vinsanto blinked their eyes at what Kazari did, and asked Vermouth if what they suspect is the case.
"Vermouth-sama…"
"Did you…?"
"Is that guy…?"
"Yup. No doubt about it. That guy's a Greed."
"!"
"!"
"!"
"Fu-fu-fu…now things are getting interesting…"
As Gin is bewildered at what he is seeing, but then Conankh came out, hissing and growling, and the Black Organization members noticed him reacting towards Kazari, and as the Puma Yummy charges, Conankh summoned his left wing and swats the Yummy aside, sending it careening against a parked car.
Kazari raised an eyebrow as he can tell that the left wing is indeed that of Ankh's, and is curious as to how this happened as he finds it impossible for Ankh to be split into two different bodies, but his musing is interrupted as Conankh assumed his Greed form and fired explosive red feathers, just as Kazari assume his Greed form and fired a huge tornado-like projectile and neutralize the red feathers and dissipated.
Gin and Vodka stared wide-eyed in surprise and disbelief, as this is the first time seeing Kazari assuming his Greed form, and wondered if Conankh is up to the challenge and if he can live up to Anokata's expectations now that there is another Greed in their midst.
"Damn…"
"Aniki…"
"Is that…?"
"What is that?"
"Is it what I think it is…?"
"No way…"
"That guy's a Greed…!"
"!"
Maki remained stoic but composed, as he saw what Conankh did to the Puma Yummy, and noted that while seemingly on the same level as Ankh, he believed that if Conankh took Ankh's other Core Medals he would get stronger, and if given the right approach, Conankh might be an asset to his agenda.
Maki then tells Kazari not to drop his guard as he believed that Conankh is probably on the same level as O's and Ankh in terms of power, which Kazari assured that he is taking things in stride as he believed that he can take Conankh on.
"Kazari. Don't get overconfident. There's a possibility that Ankh's counterpart might be stronger than he look…"
"Don't worry. I got this."
"Just don't get carried away. We still don't know that Ankh's upper limit."
"Noted. Is it okay to go all-out a little…?"
"Fine. Just as long as it doesn't attract O's attention."
"Goodie. Now I get to play with another Greed besides Uva."
"Just don't let your guard down."
"Okay."
As the Puma Yummy recovered and stood beside Kazari, the two are poised to make their move while Conankh stood still and hissed, looking ready to retaliate, as the site became a tense as on one side, Doctor Maki stared and observe the scene, curious to know how strong Conankh is, as he sees this as an opportunity to get some data.
At the other side, the members of the Spirits and Fortified Wine group of the Black Organization are watching in curiosity, seeing that this is a good chance to see what Conankh can do now that he is facing Kazari and the Puma Yummy, in which Anokata would see this as a test to prove Conankh's mettle.
