Hunt For The Mystical Medals

At the secret hideout of the Black Organization, the members of the sub-groups were eyeing towards Conankh, as he is seen eating a large quarter pounder hamburger sandwich that Vermouth gave, which she says it is a REWARD for the HARD WORK he earned, and there Chianti and Korn watches on as Conankh is gulping on the food and commented that they never thought that Conankh would actually be an asset to the Black Organization.

"As much as I hate to admit…"

"Huh?"

"Having a Greed on our side proved to be an asset…"

"I suppose…"

"He even took out those monsters and drive off another…"

"I guess we owe it to Vermouth since she's the one who brought him here…"

"And Anokata seemed to be open about letting this freak join our ranks…"

"…"

Vodka and Gin are twitching their eyes as Conankh began eating the second quarter pounder hamburger sandwich as he appeared to enjoy his meal, and there Gin recalled the events from earlier, as he couldn't believe what he witnessed, such as seeing Kazari in the flesh who assumed his Greed form, how the Yummies are spawned, and seeing how Conankh forced Kazari to retreat and defeated the two Yummies.

Meanwhile Vermouth is having a meeting with Anokata, and there the rest of the Black Organization members are waiting for the results, and what Anokata's decision would be in regards to their future operations and whether Conankh would remain a member of the organization.

"So Anokata is having a discussion with Vermouth..."

"What do you think about the discussion they are having…?"

"Probably on whether this freak stays or leaves…"

"I doubt it. The boss is being debriefed about what happened earlier. If he finds himself impressed he would allow this freak to stay with the organization as long as Vermouth puts a leash on him."

"What? That's what I'm thinking…"

Ch. 160: Keikoku, gekisen, rihan part 4

The scene shifts at Doctor Maki's laboratory, where Maki and Kazari arrived, and now they are discussing about planning their next move, after the recent events that took place, in which they encountered members of the Black Organization, and meeting Ankh's accidental counterpart, Conankh, in which they noted that Conankh's power is equal to that of Ankh's.

While Kazari smirked as he jokingly said that it has been 800 years since he last had a GOOD WORKOUT, Maki cautions him that what happened a few hours ago is something that he considers not humorous after seeing that some people appeared to be aware of the Greed's existence, as only he and Kougami are the only ones who know about the four Greeds and the European O's.

"Given what occurred earlier…it seems that your fellow Greeds are putting their pride aside and seemingly open to the idea of forming alliances with other parties…"

"Oh? Ankh's accidental counterpart joining some rogue humans doesn't…"

"The female Greed is also another example."

"Mezeru…"

"While you and Uva were tangling with each other a few weeks ago, I discovered that she survived and managed to RE-INTEGRATE herself and regain some of her Core Medals by temporarily allying herself with some foreign gangsters. In Ankh's counterpart's case, it is similar."

"Hmm…okay…"

"Now then…"

"Huh?"

Maki then revealed that he sent a candroid to secretly follow the Black Organization members to see where they are hiding and whether Conankh is with them, as the scientist admitted that he is intrigued at how a Greed based on Ankh is willingly serving them, which Kazari suggested that perhaps some of the Black Organization members may have gave something to Conankh that caused the Greed to submit to the humans, which Maki appeared to agree to that theory, unaware of the fact that Conankh was MYSTERIOUSLY BORN from Ankh due to their bodies being split in two 800 years ago before being sealed.

"It seems that Ankh appeared to be a special case, as I find it baffling as to how this OTHER Ankh is born since according to you, there is originally one Ankh."

"You're right. Perhaps this has something to do with the original O's from 800 years ago. When he attempted to use too many Core Medals at once…that's how we Greeds got sealed…"

"Perhaps."

"Well, the original O's is dead…"

"Lucky for you Greed…"

"Well..."

"At the very least Gameru is still out…"

"You have a point there…"

By then Kazari asked Maki what would he do now, and asked if he is going to tell Kougami about this, which Maki said that it is no longer his concern as he went to a safe vault and opened it, revealing the contents that was kept inside, which revealed to be a rounded seal that is big as a small tabletop, and there Kazari sensed something faint within the seal, and asked if Kougami is aware of this, which Maki scoffed and gave an ambiguous response.

"Say…that seal…"

"…"

"I sensed something there…"

"…"

"Is it what I think it is…?"

"Feel free to think what you wish to think…"

"Eh…?"

"…"

About an hour later, the scene shifts at Agasa's home, where Kyuji, Toudou and Shiho are discussing about what to do next, now that they know that the Black Organization has a Greed on their side, and thus this puts Ankh and Shinichi's body in danger, and thus they needed to come up with a way to expose the Black Organization, though Shiho said that there are Black Organization members who infiltrated the police force, hence Kogoro Mori and Juzo Megure would be put under the Black Organization's hit list if they go public with that knowledge.

"So detective Mori and Detective Megure shouldn't say anything about the Black Organization..."

"And doing so makes them a target…"

"Yes. That's why we should be discreet and figure out a way to flush out the spies…"

"This is bad…especially now that the Black Organization has a Greed backing them up…"

"And they now know that Ankh is possessing Kudo's comatose body…"

"Which is why Ankh should only show up if the situation calls for it…"

"…"

"…"

Suddenly, Toudou was startled when his smartphone vibrated, and as he answered it, the caller was Gotoh, who told them that he is at Maki's office, where he huge explosion took place, as aside from Maki's office, the factory and research facility were also caught in the blast, and Kougami was informed of the situation, which caused Toudou to get worried, as he wondered if something bad happened, as he and Kyuji are unaware that Maki has been in a secret partnership with Kazari for several months.

"Are there any casualties?"

"Thankfully, no."

"And Doctor Maki…?"

"Can't say for sure…"

"Huh?"

"We'll discuss this later. You better head here right away."

"Okay."

"…"

After that, Toudou said that he better head towards Maki's office to see if there are any clues he could find, and Kyuji nodded and tells Toudou to be careful, which the latter nodded and tells Kyuji to look after Ankh especially now that the Black Organization is aware that Ankh is keeping Shinichi's body alive.

"Keep an eye on Ankh."

"Okay."

"If possible, try asking him to stay hidden. It's a possibility that with the other Ankh would keep you busy…the Black Organization members might target Ankh and Kudo's body…"

"Understood."

"Good. I got to go."

"Let us know if you need help."

"Okay."

"Be careful."

At Maki's office, Gotoh and Toudou are surveying the place, seeing that while the office is 80% damaged, some remained intact, and yet the factory and research and development areas are heavily damaged, but Gotoh noticed that there were no bloodstains inside Maki's office, saying that if Maki were here he would have been assaulted.

Toudou then accidentally discovered a hidden CCTV camera, and seeing that it is intact, they played the footage, which also included the audio, where they saw Maki and Kazari, who is in his human guise, and both Toudou and Gotoh were baffled, as they have no idea who Kazari is, but when the audio was played along with the footage, both men were surprised, if not shocked.

"What the…?"

"Did he Kazari…?"

"Kazari the Greed…"

"Gotoh…so the Greed can assume a human guise…?"

"From what Kyuji told me…"

"Wait…can that guy on the footage be really Kazari…?"

"I…"

"…"

By then Kougami showed up, but he wasn't in his usual, jovial self, and confirmed the two men's suspicions that the person with Maki is indeed Kazari, the feline Greed, and there he said that Maki may have intentionally caused the explosion as his answer, signifying that he has departed and defected from the Kougami Foundation.

Satonaka came and displayed a concerned look, as she pointed out at the CCTV footage where Maki and Kazari are seen carrying the rounded seal, and Kougami showed genuine, dismayed emotions as he commented that Maki has STABBED HIM ON THE BACK as Maki intentionally kept the fact that the seal is with him and took off with it.

Gotoh asked if the object that Maki and Kazari took is something important, which Kougami solemnly confirmed, saying that he has been planning to conduct a research on that seal but Maki appeared to be a step ahead and may have been planning to hijack it from the moment he laid eyes on it.

"What…?"

"Yes. It seems that Maki has been planning this from the moment I sent the seal to him for safekeeping…"

"Does it contain something…dangerous…?"

"Perhaps…"

"Huh…?"

"I believe I may have committed a lapsed decision on my part…"

"…"

"…"

Elsewhere, Kyuji and Ankh are at a park as they wondered what would they do next, as aside from the Greed, they would be dealing with the Black Organization, who are now aware of the fact that Ankh is possessing Shinichi's body, thus they would have to be more careful, especially as the Black Organization now have the backing of Ankh's accidental counterpart in Conankh.

Suddenly, a van passed by them and both Kyuji and Ankh saw Doctor Maki, and with him is Kazari in his human guise, and both Kyuji and Ankh were baffled as to why Maki is traveling with a Greed, which Ankh suspected that something is amiss here as he sensed that Maki wasn't coerced, causing Kyuji to question if Maki is WILLINGLY going with Kazari.

"Huh? Ankh...what…"

"You heard me. Maki wasn't being forced…and there is no Yummy inside him…"

"You mean…Maki is allying himself with Kazari…?"

"From the looks of it."

"…"

"It looks like we got ourselves a new opponent…"

"That's..."

"!"

Suddenly something jumped towards Ankh, which is revealed to be the Yamaneko Yummy, which resembled a humanoid Andean mountain cat, and as Ankh is forced to use a fireball attack to repel it, he gave Kyuji three Core Medals and tells him to transform and deal with the Yummy, which Kyuji nodded as he puts on the Medal Driver, inserted the three Core Medals and scans them with Medal Scanner.

Medal Scanner: "KUWAGATA…UNAGI…BATTA!"

Transforming into Kamen Rider O's using a sub-combo, he uses the Stag Beetle horns to electrocute the Yamaneko Yummy and forced it back, then uses the Unagi whips to further electrocute it which weakened the Yummy before Ankh joins in and fired a huge fireball and struck the Yummy which O's unleashed electrical attacks and both he and Ankh struck the Yamaneko Yummy, resulting in its destruction and is reduced to Cell Medals, which Ankh collected them.

After deactivating his transformation, Kyuji is worried at the turn of events and had Ankh come with him as they need to keep a low profile to avoid being potentially seen by any Black Organization members.

Hope you liked this chapter as this concluded the current story arc, as Maki decided to defect from the Kougami Foundation, taking something that made Kougami upset, and now Kyuji and the Detective Conan crew are now facing two opponents, which are the Black Organization and the Greed…

At the very least Kyuji and Ankh got some screen time and a bit of action…
